Terastallizing, and Team Star
After putting his Rotom Phone away after talking to his friends and family back in Royal Woods, he began to recollect what he learned.
He found out that things have gone downhill for his family after everyone else in Royal Woods found out his family kicked him out onto the street; their friends left them, Lynn has been cut from all her sports teams, Ronnie Anne has been out to get Lucy, the twins, and Lisa, and most of all, his parents were arrested and are currently under house arrest; his family wanted him to return to Royal Woods, but Lincoln has already made his decision on staying in Paldea so he can finish his education at Naranja Academy, which fortunately, his family respected. After Lincoln returned his Pokemon to their pokeballs, he hears Nemona calling out to him.
"Oyee, Lincoln!" said Nemona. Lincoln turns and sees Nemona walking over to him.
"Hey, Nemona." said Lincoln, standing up from the chair he was sitting on. When Nemona gets to Lincoln, she holds out what appeared to be a black and transparent pokeball with a crystal-like object in it. "What's this pokeball."
"Remember when I told you about Terastallization?" asked Nemona.
"Yeah; it's when you change a Pokemon's type into a different one." said Lincoln.
"Exactly; anyway, this is a Tera Orb." said Nemona. "With this, you can Terastillize any of your Pokemon."
"Cool!" said Lincoln. "How does it work?" But before Nemona could explain, they hear some commotion nearby.
"What's going on?" asked Nemona. The two head over to where the noise was coming from and they see a couple of academy students, one guy and one girl, who were both wearing motorcycle helmets with some sort of star design on them, talking to a girl with short, red and blue hair; wearing glasses, a dark gray hoodie with a pokeball design on it, a transparent skirt, gray leggings with red plus signs and blue minus signs on them, black and gray boots, and a backpack that looked like an Eevee.
"Hey, girl." said the male student. "How about joining Team Star?"
"Yeah!" said the girl student. "You could shine brightly if you join up with us!" Nemona lets out a moan, getting Lincoln's attention.
"What's up, Nemona?" asked Lincoln. "You know those two?"
"Yeah, they're Team Star." said Nemona.
"What's Team Star?" asked Lincoln.
"They're basically a gang of students who go around causing trouble for other students while trying to convince them to join up with them." said Nemona.
"Sounds kind of annoying." said Lincoln.
"You have no idea." said Nemona. Lincoln looks back at the Team Star members bothering the girl and decides to go do something about it. As he walks over with Nemona following after him, the Team Star members notice them approaching.
"Hey!" said the male Team Star member. "What's your problem?"
"Maybe they want to join?" suggested the female Team Star member.
"Well, if that's the case, you'll have to wait your turn." said the male Team Star member. "We almost convinced this one to join up."
"A-A-Actually, I'm not really interested in joining you." said the girl, shocking the Team Star members.
"What?!" said the Team Star members in unison.
"You don't know what you're turning down." said the female member.
"Hey, she said she wasn't interested in joining you, all right?!" exclaimed Lincoln.
"Well, it looks like this kid has an attitude problem." said the male Team Star member.
"I'm gonna teach him a lesson about messing with Team Star." said the female Team Star member as she takes out a pokeball, prompting Lincoln to do the same. The Team Star member throws her pokeball, releasing a brown, weasel-like Pokemon with a yellow streak down its back. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Yungoos, the Loitering Pokemon. Its stomach fills most of its torso. It wanders the same path every day, searching for fresh food." said the Rotom Phone. Lincoln then throws his pokeball, releasing his Sprigatito.
"Okay, Sprigatito, use Hone Claws!" said Lincoln. Claws come out of Sprigatito's paws, and he becomes surrounded by an orange glow, increasing his attack and accuracy.
"Yungoos, use Leer!" said the Team Star member. Yungoos glares at Sprigatito and its eyes glow red, lowering Sprigatito's defense.
"Sprigatito, Bite!" said Lincoln. Sprigatito pounces at Yungoos and bites it, dealing more damage due to Sprigatito's attack being increased by Hone Claws.
"Yungoos, Tackle!" said the Team Star member. Yungoos runs at Spirgatito and rams him, dealing more damage due to his weakened defense.
"Leafage, Spirgatito!" said Lincoln. Spirgatito's neck leaves glowed and multiple glowing leaves come out of them and they hit Yungoos, knocking it out.
"No way!" exclaimed the Team Star member.
"You did it, Lincoln!" cheered Nemona.
"Good work, Sprigatito!" replied Lincoln. Sprigatito meows in response. The Team Star member returns Yungoos to its pokeball, walks to Lincoln without saying a word, gives him pokedollars and returns to the male Team Star member.
"Looks like I'll have to show you why Team Star burns brightly, kid!" said the male Team Star member as he takes out a pokeball and throws it, releasing a small Pokemon with a black head with a tuft of white fur on top of it, long snout with two, purple-tipped, teeth at the end of it, along with a bluishing gray back, and purple belly, along with four small feet. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokemon. Though usually a mellow Pokémon, it will sink its sharp, poison-soaked front teeth into any that anger it, causing paralysis in the object of its ire." said the Rotom Phone.
"This says that it's part poison type, so Sprigatito would be at a disadvantage." said Lincoln before returning Sprigatito to his pokeball. He then takes out another one and throws it, releasing his Pawmi.
"Lincoln!" shouts Nemona. "This would be a great time to try out your new Tera Orb!" Lincoln then takes it out and looks it over.
"How do I use this?" asked Lincoln.
"Just hold it up so it can draw in energy." said Nemona. Lincoln does what Nemona says, and the Tera Orb starts doing what Nemona said it would do. Once it was done, Lincoln could feel it shaking.
"Now what?" asked Lincoln.
"Just throw it over Pawmi and it'll do the rest!" said Nemona. Lincoln does what he's told and when the Tera Orb was over Pawmi, pillars of crystal appear around Pawmi. They soon shatter, showing that Pawmi's fur was crystallized, and on her head was a crystal light bulb.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln.
"Since Pawmi's Tera Form is electric, all of her electric type moves should be powered up." said Nemona. Lincoln then looks towards the Shroodle.
"Pawmi, use Charge!" said Lincoln. Pawmi becomes surrounded by yellow sparks, increasing her special defense.
"Shroodle, Fury Swipes!" said the Team Star member. Shroodle leaps at Pawmi and repeatedly swipes her with its front paws, making her take a step back. Suddenly, Shroodle starts to twitch as static electricity covers its body.
"That Static ability sure comes in handy." said Lincoln. "Okay, Pawmi, use Thunder Shock!" The crystal light bulb on Pawmi's head starts surging with power which channels into Pawmi's body. She then releases a very strong surge of electricity, which was a lot stronger thanks to her using Charge last move, hitting the Shroodle, doing enough damage to knock it out. The Team Star member drops to his knees in disbelief.
"I don't believe it." said the male Team Star member.
"Way to go, Lincoln!" cheered Nemona.
"Looks like you're a falling star now." said Lincoln. 'Dang it, Luan's pun habit must've rubbed off on me.' Pawmi suddenly returns to her normal state.
"Very funny, kid!" says the male Team Star member in frustration. He returns his Shroodle to its pokeball and tosses pokedollars to Lincoln.
"You haven't heard the last of us!" said the female Team Star member before she and the male Team Star member both run off. Nemona runs over to Lincoln.
"That was great, Lincoln!" said Nemona. They then see the girl that Team Star was bothering, walking over to them.
"T-T-Thank you." the girl said shyly before running off.
"Must be shy." said Lincoln.
"Most likely." said Nemona. "Just so you know, Lincoln; a Tera Orb needs to be recharged after each use at a Pokemon Center, so remember to stop by one later.
"Okay." said Lincoln. Nemona looks in the direction that Team Star ran off in.
"They just don't give up." said Nemona.
"So, how long has Team Star been bothering people?" asked Lincoln.
"For about a year now." said Nemona.
"What should we do about them?" asked Lincoln.
"I'll go report them to Mr Clavell." said Nemona. "See ya later, Lincoln." She then runs up the stairs to the academy, leaving Lincoln to himself.
"Looks like life here has gotten a lot more interesting." said Lincoln.
