Meeting Arven, and Back in Royal Woods

After Lincoln ate and showered, he lies on his bed for a while, with his Pokemon, deep in thought about his family back in Royal Woods. His parents told him he shouldn't feel guilty about what happened to them, but he can't help but do so. He looks at his Rotom Phone before starting to dial in a number.

(Five Minutes Later)

"Thanks; goodbye." said Lincoln before ending the call he was on. He puts his Rotom Phone on his desk and goes to sleep.

The next day, Lincoln gets out of bed, gets dressed, and gives his Pokemon some food. Once they finished eating, he returns them to their pokeballs, then heads for the cafeteria to grab himself some breakfast there. As he walks down the hall, he sees a red book sitting on the hallway floor.

"What's this doing here?" Lincoln asked himself as he picks the book up off the floor. "Did someone lose this?"

"Hey!" someone yells out. Lincoln looks to see a male teenager with blonde hair, wearing a white and orange shirt under a blue vest, orange pants, brown boots, and a yellow backpack, running to Lincoln. "That's my book!"

"Is this yours? I found it on the floor." said Lincoln. The teenager snatches the book out of Lincoln's hand and puts it in his backpack.

"Well, thanks for finding it anyway, kid." said the teenager.

"My name's Lincoln Loud." said Lincoln.

"I'm Arven." said the teenager now known as Arven. "I do seem to remember you battling that kid in the Schoolyard yesterday."

"You were there?" asked Lincoln.

"Yeah." said Arven. "I also saw that little workout that Ms. Dendra made you do."

"Don't remind me." said Lincoln with exasperation. "I'm still sore in some places."

"Are you good at battling?" asked Arven with curiosity.

"I've only started training yesterday." said Lincoln. Arven thinks about something and has Lincoln follow him to the Schoolyard.

Back in Royal Woods, the Louds were having breakfast while talking about Lincoln.

"I can't believe Lincoln is learning about those super-cool Pokemon things while we're here missing out on it." said Lana.

"Well, he ended up there because we threw him out of the house." said Luna.

"I hope Linky will do okay on his own." said Leni.

"Well, he looked just fine yesterday." said Lori. "Even after that little workout that Ms. Dendra lady gave him."

"Yeah; she's so cool!" said Lynn Jr.

"Seems a little intense for my liking." said Lynn Sr.

"That's what makes her so cool!" said Lynn Jr. Suddenly, they hear the doorbell ring, along with the shout of pain from whoever rang it.

"Who could that be?" asked Rita as she gets out of her seat and walks over to the front door and opens it, revealing a female police officer, who was shaking her hand to try and get rid of the pain she got after getting zapped.

"Hello, Mrs. Loud." said the officer.

"G-Good morning, officer." Rita nervously said as the others walk over and stand behind her.

"Is there a problem?" asked Lynn Sr with a nervous look on his face. The officer sighs as she pulls a key out of her pocket, kneels down in front of the Loud parents, and uses it to remove their home arrest ankle bracelets, surprising them.

"What are you doing?" asked Rita.

"Your son called the precinct last night." said the officer, surprising the Louds. "For reasons I'll probably never understand, he convinced us to let you two off with just community service for what you did to him."

"Really?!" replied the Loud parents.

"So, Mommy and Daddy won't be going to prison?" asked Lola with hope in her voice.

"As long as they do the community service, they won't go to prison." said the officer. Lola runs over to the officer and hugs one of her legs tightly.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" shouts Lola with tears in her eyes. The officer then looks at the Loud parents.

"I don't know why your son thinks you deserve mercy after what you did to him." said the officer as she pulls a taser off her belt. "Right now, I'm still tempted to use THIS on you." The Loud parents recoil in fear.

"So, what's the community service?" asked Rita.

"Your son picked it." said the officer as she puts the taser back on her belt. "Every weekend for the rest of the month, eight hours a day; you'll be babysitting the Fox Quintuplets." Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan tremble in fear.

"Them?!" Lori replied. "Mom and Dad have to look after THEM?!"

"Well, your brother didn't think your parents should've gotten off scot free for what they did." said the officer. "Lincoln thought of it as a 'punishment fitting the crime' sort of thing; your parents committed a crime involving a kid, so the punishment should involve a kid, or kids in this case."

"I guess that's true." said Lori. The officer then turns around to leave, but sees that Lola was still hugging her leg.

"Will someone get this girl off me?" asked the woman. Lori walks to Lola and pries her arms off the officer's leg and pulls her away. The officer gets into her patrol car and drives away. The Louds did a group hug out of joy.

"Next time Lincoln calls, I'm thanking him over and over again." said Lynn Sr.

"Why would Lincoln help us after what we did?" asked Rita.

"That's just how he is." said Luna.

"I guess so." said Rita as the family continued hugging.

Meanwhile at the McBride residence, Harold was on the phone.

"Thank you, Mr. Clavell." said Harold before hanging up the phone.

"Did it go well, Harold?" asked Howard.

"Yes, Clyde is now enrolled at the Naranja Academy." said Harold.

"Oh, that's great to hear." said Howard. "I'll start booking a flight for Clyde to the Paldea Region right now." He then pulls out his device and dials in the number to the Royal Woods airport, just as Clyde enters the living room in his PJs.

"Morning, Dads." said Clyde as he stretches.

"Morning, sweetie." said Harold with a smile.

"What are you up to?" asked Clyde. Harold and Howard looked at each other with a smile.

"We wanted it to be a surprise, but we got you enrolled at Naranja Academy." said Harold, surprising Clyde.

"Really?!" asked Clyde with joy.

"We knew how much you missed Lincoln, and we decided to send you there to be with him." said Harold. Clyde runs to his dads and hugs them tightly.

"Thank you, Dads!" said Clyde. Just then, Howard ends the call.

"I just booked a flight to the Paldea Region that leaves today at 2 P.M." said Howard. "It pains us that you're going to another country; but it pains us even more to see you so sad without Lincoln." Clyde smiles in response with tears in his eyes.

"So, get packed quickly, Clyde." said Harold. Clyde rushes to his room to do so.

Back at Naranja Academy, Arven leads Lincoln to a battle arena in the Schoolyard.

"So, what are we doing here, Arven?" asked Lincoln.

"I want to see how strong you are as a trainer." replied Arven.

"How come?" asked Lincoln.

"Beat me in a battle and I'll tell you." said Arven.

"All right, then." said Lincoln. He and Arven each walk to one end of the arena. "So how many Pokemon are we using?"

"We'll each use one Pokemon." replied Arven, pulling out a pokeball while Lincoln pulls out Pawmi's Premier Ball. "Skwovet, go!" Arven throws the pokeball and releases a Skwovet.

"Let's go, Pawmi!" said Lincoln, throwing Pawmi's Premier Ball and releasing her. "Pawmi, Quick Attack!" Pawmi charges at Skwovet with incredible speed and rams it, knocking it back.

"Skwovet, Tail Whip!" said Arven. Skwovet runs at Pawmi and wags its tail in her face, weakening her defense.

"Charge!" said Lincoln. Pawmi becomes surrounded by sparks and her special defense increases.

"Skwovet, Bite!" said Arven. Skwovet runs at Pawmi and bites her, dealing damage to her. Skwovet begins twitching and static covers her body.

"And Pamwi's Static ability strikes again." said Lincoln. Fortunately for Lincoln, Bite didn't cause Pawmi to flinch. "Pawmi, Thunder Shock!" Pamwi releases a strong bolt of lightning, which was powered up from when she used Charge, from her body, and it hits Skwovet, knocking it to the ground with swirly eyes. "Way to go, Pawmi!" Pawmi hops up and down, cheering. Arven returns Skwovet to its pokeball and walks to Lincoln.

"You are a strong trainer, Lincoln." said Arven as he gives Lincoln pokedollars.

"So, why do you want to see if I'm a strong trainer?" asked Lincoln.

"Let's talk about it over breakfast." replied Arven. Lincoln's stomach begins to growl.

"Sounds good to me." said Lincoln, making Arven smile in response.

Later in the cafeteria, Lincoln and Arven were sitting next to each other at a table, eating. After swallowing the food he had in his mouth, Lincoln turns to Arven.

"So why do want to see if I'm a strong trainer?" asked Lincoln. Arven reaches into his backpack and pulls out the red book.

"I need help with something." said Arven.

"What?" replied Lincoln.

"I'm into the outdoors; the picnic life with perfectly prepared sandwiches." said Arven.

"Sounds nice." said Lincoln.

"I'm doing research on new recipes that'll make Pokemon feel better." said Arven. He opens the book. "I found this book the other day that had a section about these Herba Mystica things."

"Herba Mystica?" asked Lincoln.

"They're some kind of special herb that heal up any Pokemon that eats them." replied Arven. "According to this book, there are five types of Herba Mysticas; just taking a lick of them after they've been powdered will get your blood flowing, provide nutrients, prevent aging, even boost the immune system.

"That sounds so cool." said Lincoln. "But what does that have to do with me being a strong trainer?"

"According to this book, the Herba Mysticas are guarded by Titan Pokemon." replied Arven.

"Titan Pokemon?" asked Lincoln. Arven turns some pages and stops at an illustration of a massive tusked Pokemon; another explained how a survey team was attacked by one in an area called Area Zero. Arven turned another page, showing a photograph of the tusked Pokemon.

"You see, Lincoln, I'm no good at Pokemon battling, but I really need those herbs. I don't have friends with strong Pokemon like you, and if I went to that student council girl, I'll never hear the end of it. Will you help me, Lincoln?" asked Arven.

"Sure; it sounds so cool." said Lincoln.

"Thanks, Lincoln! I'll register the locations of the Herba Mysticas onto your map app." said Arven. He and Lincoln take out their Rotom Phones and Arven downloads the locations from his Rotom Phone onto Lincoln's. "Let me know when you find one." Arven then gives his Rotom Phone number to Lincoln, then they both finished eating and go off to do their own things.

In Lincoln's room, he was watching a livestream video by a girl named Iono. She has long, blue and pink, hair that was tied into a bow on the front of her head, and had two matching accessories in them that looked like Magnemites with small magnets, she was also wearing a big yellow and black sweater that had her logo that looked like a star with a play button on it with a lightning bolt attached to it, over black leather shorts, and a gray top, gray metallic boots, and a single grey legging.

"Man, Iono's cool." said Lincoln. After the video was done, he puts his Rotom Phone away and just chills out in his room for a while with his Pokemon.
