Returning to the Grand Underground (Part Two)
Lincoln and Stella continue to explore the Grand Underground, also taking the time to do some digging in the walls; during those moments, Lincoln found a Hard Stone he gave to his Shieldon, a Star Piece, and a Revive; while Stella found a Meadow Plate she gave to her Roserade.
They soon reach a cavern that looked like a swamp. As they looked around, Lincoln sees a Pokemon that looked like a pile of green sludge with eyes, a mouth, and arms.
"What is that?" asked Stella. Lincoln takes out his pokedex and points it at the new Pokemon.
"Grimer, the Sludge Pokemon. It was born when sludge in a dirty stream was exposed to the moon's X-rays. It appears among filth." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"Since this one is green and not purple like it shows in my pokedex, it must be a shiny one." said Lincoln. He grabs his Shieldon's pokeball and lets him out of it.
"You're catching it?" asked Stella.
"Lana would LOVE this one." said Lincoln. "It's green and made of stinky sludge."
"I guess that she would like it." said Stella.
"Okay, Shieldon; use Rock Tomb!" said Lincoln. Shieldon drops a bunch of rocks onto the Grimer, damaging it, and slowing it down; it reacts by launching a blob of black sludge at him which hits his faceplate and harmlessly slides off it.
"Why didn't that move do anything?" asked Stella.
"Must've been a poison type move." said Lincoln. "Since Shieldon is part steel type, he's immune to them."
"That's handy." said Stella.
"Shieldon, use Take Down!" said Lincoln. Shieldon runs headfirst at the Grimer and rams it in its face; he takes damage from the recoil. Lincoln quickly takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Grimer, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Lincoln!" said Stella as she wraps her arms around Lincoln in a hug. As Lincoln's new capture is teleported to storage, he looks up its information on his pokedex.
"This says that Grimer's a girl, she knows Pound, Poison Gas, Harden, Mud-Slap, Disable, Sludge, and Smog; she also has the Stench ability which could cause any opponent she hits to flinch." said Lincoln.
"Let's keep looking around." said Stella as she grabs Lincoln's hand and pulls him into the tunnels.
Meanwhile, Clyde and Dawn were looking around a grassy area; as they do, Clyde sees a quadrupedal, light green Pokemon with a green leaf on its head, laying on the grass.
"Hey, what's that?" asked Clyde, pointing at the Pokemon. Dawn takes out her pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Chikorita, the Leaf Pokemon. It uses the leaf on its head to determine the air's temperature and humidity. It loves to sunbathe." said Dawn's pokedex. Clyde pulls out a pokeball.
"I'm catching this one." said Clyde, getting the Chikorita's attention. "Ninjask, go!" He tosses Ninjask's pokeball and releases her. "Okay, Ninjask, use Fury Cutter!" Ninjask flies at Chikorita and slashes it with one of her arm claws, dealing super effective damage. Ninjask begins surging with energy.
"What was that?" asked Dawn.
"I think that was Ninjask's Speed Boost abiliy; so now she's much faster than before." replied Clyde. The Chikorita charges at Ninjask and rams her, knocking her back. "Ninjask, use Fury Cutter once more." Ninjask flies at Chikorita and slashes it, dealing more damage than the previous Fury Cutter, and knocking it to the ground. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Chikorita, hitting it and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times and clicked.
"You did it, Clyde!" said Dawn. Chikorita's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Dawn uses her pokedex to look up Clyde's Chikorita's information. "This says your Chikorita's a boy, he knows Tackle, Growl, Razor Leaf, Poison Powder, and Synthesis; he has the Overgrow ability like Luna's Grotle."
"Let's explore somewhere else." said Clyde.
Meanwhile, Luna and Sam find the spot where Lincoln caught his Dratini and start to explore.
"See any Pokemon yet?" Sam asked her girlfriend. Suddenly, a small, purple, clamlike Pokemon with eyes and tongue in its shell, hops out of a pond.
"What's that?" asked Luna, prompting Sam to pull out her pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Shellder, the Bivalve Pokemon. It swims backward by opening and closing its two shells. Its large tongue is always kept hanging out." said Sam's pokedex.
"I'm digging its color." said Luna.
"Then catch it." said Sam. Luna nods as she takes her Rotom's pokeball off her waist and lets it out.
"Rotom, use Charge!" said Luna. Rotom starts gathering electricity into its body, powering up its special defense; the Shellder reacts by hitting Rotom with chunks of ice. "Now use Thunder Shock!" Rotom releases a blast of electricity that was powered up by it using Charge before, hitting the Shellder, doing super effective damage; it suddenly starts twitching.
"I think it's paralyzed!" said Sam. Luna quickly takes out an empty pokeball from her pocket and throws it at the Shellder, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Rad!" said Luna. As her new Pokemon is teleported to storage, Sam looks up its information on her pokedex.
"This says your Shellder's a dudette, she knows Tackle, Water Gun, Withdraw, Ice Shard, Leer, Whirlpool, and Supersonic; she has the Shell Armor ability which keeps from taking critical hits." said Sam.
"Looks like the Shellder dropped something." said Luna when she sees a large, softball-sized, orb on the ground.
"Is that a pearl?" asked Sam.
"It's huge!" said Luna as she picks it up. "Lola would flip out if she saw this."
"Let's look around some more." said Sam.
At another area with lava streams in it, Dawn and Clyde were exploring, seeing what Pokemon are there. Dawn suddenly sees a small, bipedal Pokemon with blue fur on top of it, a cream-colored underside, a long snout, and four red circles on its back walking by.
"What is that?" asked Dawn as she takes out her pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokemon. It has a timid nature. If it is startled, the flames on its back burn more vigorously." said Dawn's pokedex.
"I'm catching this one." said Dawn, pulling out a pokeball. "Piplup, spotlight!" She throws Piplup's pokeball and releases him. Cyndaquil sees Piplup and flames burst out of the red circles on its back; it charges at Piplup with incredible speed and rams him, knocking him back.
"That was Quick Attack!" said Clyde.
"Piplup, use Bubble Beam!" said Dawn. Piplup fires bubbles out of his mouth and they hit Cyndaquil, dealing super effective damage. The Cyndaquil releases embers from its mouth and they hit Piplup, but not doing much damage to him.
"Piplup, use Fury Attack!" said Dawn. Piplup runs at Cyndaquil and repeatedly jabs it with his beak, damaging it, and knocking it to the ground. Dawn takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Cyndaquil, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around a few times until it clicked. "Yippee! I caught a Cyndaquil!"
"Good work, Dawn." said Clyde. Cyndaquil's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Dawn looks up her Cyndaquil's information on her pokedex.
"This says my Cyndaquil's a girl, she knows Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember, and Quick Attack; she has the Blaze ability like Lincoln's Monferno does." said Dawn.
Meanwhile, back with Luna and Sam, they were exploring the forest area that Clyde and Dawn recently explored in search of other Pokemon; they quickly spot a light green, gecko-like Pokemon with two tails, crawling up a tree.
"What's that one?" asked Sam as she points her pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Treecko, the Wood Gecko Pokemon. The soles of its feet are covered by countless tiny hooks, enabling it to walk on walls and ceilings." said Sam's pokedex.
"I could use a grass type." said Sam as she takes out her Kricketune's pokeball and lets him out of it, getting the Treecko's attention.
"Do it, Sam!" said Luna. The Treecko leaps down from the tree and slams its tails down onto Kricketune, dealing damage.
"Kricketune, use Fury Cutter!" said Sam. Kricketune leaps at the Treecko and slashes it with one of his pincers, dealing super effective damage; the Treecko responds by moving at him really fast and slams into him. "Use Fury Cutter again!" Kricketune moves at the Treecko and slashes it again, dealing twice as much super effective damage as the last attack. Sam then takes an empty pokeball and throws it at the Treecko, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Nice one, Sam!" said Luna. As Sam's new Pokemon is teleported to storage, she looks up its information on her pokedex.
"This says my Treecko's a dudette, she knows Pound, Leer, Leafage, Quick Attack, Mega Drain, Detect, Quick Guard, Assurance, Giga Drain, and Slam; she has the Overgrow ability like your Grotle." said Sam.
Somewhere in a tunnel, Lincoln was using a pickaxe on a wall, looking for something of value while Stella watched. As he continued picking at the wall, he sees somthing red in the hole he made.
"Hey, I found something." said Lincoln. He continued picking at the spot until he uncovered a red tablet. "Hey, a Flame Plate."
"What does it do?" asked Stella.
"It increases the power of fire type moves of the Pokemon holding it." replied Lincoln. He pulls the Flame Plate out of the wall. "I'm definitely giving this to Monferno." He lets Monferno out of his pokeball and gives him the Flame Plate. After he returns Monferno to his pokeball, he continued picking the wall, but only found a couple of spheres.
"Come on, Lincoln; let's go meet with the others." said Stella.
"Okay; I'm getting tired anyway." said Lincoln. He and Stella walked down the tunnel, holding hands.
Soon, everyone meets at the ladder leading up to the surface where they tell each other about the Pokemon they caught.
"You first, dudes." Luna says to Lincoln and Clyde who nod and start climbing; when they all reach the surface, Lincoln runs to the Pokemon Center to swap his Staravia for the Grimer he recently caught. He then heads back down to the Grand Underground with the others and contacts his family with his Poketch.
"Hi, son!" said Lynn Sr.
"Hi, everyone." said Lincoln. "I'm sending a new Pokemon over for Lana."
"Yeah!" cheered Lana in response. A green portal opens near Lincoln and he tosses Grimer's pokeball into it; at the Loud house, Lana picks up the pokeball and tosses it, letting out the Pokemon inside.
"GROSS!" yells Lola as she covers her nose.
"It's so cool!" said Lana.
"Somehow, I knew you'd like it." said Lincoln.
"And look what a Pokemon I caught dropped." said Luna as she holds out the Big Pearl that her Shellder had.
"Is that a pearl?!" asked Rita.
"It's huge!" said Lynn Sr.
"I WANT IT!" yells Lola. Letting out a sigh, Luna tosses the Big Pearl into the portal where it pops out into the Louds' living room where Lola grabs it and nuzzles it. After that, they all chat and end the call.
Later at the Pokemon Center, after Lincoln gets his Staravia back, the group go to their rooms and go to bed.
The next day at the Loud house's garage, Rusty was on the floor, trembling as Lincoln and Luna's sisters towered over him.
"W-What are you g-girls going to do to me n-now?" asked Rusty.
"Relax, Rusty; we're literally cutting you a break today." said Lori.
"R-Really?" asked Rusty.
"Totes." replied Leni. Rusty lets out a sigh of relief.
"As a matter of fact, how would you like to kiss a girl?" asked Lynn Jr.
"Sure!" replied Rusty before taking out breath spray and spraying it into his mouth. Lana pulls out Grimer's pokeball and tosses it, releasing her from it. "What is that?! It stinks!"
"I know; isn't it great?" asked Lana. Lori and Leni suddenly grabbed Rusty's arms.
"What are you doing?!" asked Rusty. "I thought you were letting me kiss a girl?!"
"Grimer's a girl." said Lana. Rusty's face paled when he realizes what the girls were up to. "Grimer; give Rusty a big, sloppy kiss." Grimer moved towards Rusty.
"Pucker up, Rusty." said Lori. Rusty struggled in vain to get free, but Grimer grabs his head and gives him a big kiss on the lips.
"You know, I don't know who to feel sorry for; Rusty or Grimer?" said Luan.
"Definitely Grimer." said Lucy from behind Luan, scaring her. The girls laughed as Grimer continued kissing Rusty. A minute later, Rusty walks out of the garage with a horrified look on his face.
"I need mouthwash and a lip transplant." said Rusty as he dizzily walks away.
Lincoln and the others have captured new Pokemon. What else awaits them as their Sinnoh adventure continues?
