Underground Picnic
At the Eterna City Pokemon Center, Stella was giving the nurse her Roserade and Beautifly, and Dawn was giving the nurse her Sylveon and Swablu; after that, Dawn went to the Pokemon Center's PC to exchange her Togepi for her Cyndaquil. After that, Lincoln uses the transdimensional communication function on his poketch; right now, Stella was talking to her parents.
"Oh, Stella, honey; your father and I are so proud of you for winning the Eterna Pokemon Contest." said Mrs. Zhau.
"Thanks, Mom." said Stella.
"So, where's the next Pokemon Contest, Stella?" asked Mr. Zhau.
"It's in Hearthome City." said Stella.
"We'll be sure to watch it." said Mrs. Zhau. Lynn Sr suddenly appears on the holographic screen.
"You know, kids; tomorrow's Saturday, maybe we can come over and spend some time with all of you, maybe have a picnic." said Lynn Sr.
"Sounds great, Dad." said Lincoln. "There's a nice place in the Grand Underground that looks like a great place for one."
"Can you bring my dads, too?" asked Clyde.
"We'll go over to your house and ask, Clyde." said Rita.
"Maybe we can find some more cute Pokemon." said Lola.
"And some Pokemon to punish that jerk, Rusty, with." said Lynn Jr.
"And I'll be sure to pack plenty of food for all of us." said Lynn Sr. After talking for several minutes, Lincoln ends the call.
"Tomorrow's going to be amazing!" said Lincoln.
"Can't wait!" said Luna.
"Let's get some dinner; I'm starving." said Sam. The group then walks to the cafeteria.
Back at the Loud house, Rita was walking to the front door.
"Where are you going, Mom?" asked Leni.
"To the Super Mart; your father needs more stuff for sandwiches for the picnic tomorrow." replied Rita.
"Just be sure not to let Leni make them." said Lisa, remembering the egg salad sandwiches from the road trip.
"Got the list, honey?" asked Lynn Sr.
"Right here." replied Rita, holding up the list; She then walks out the front door.
Moments later, at the Super Mart, Rita was pushing a shopping cart full of bags of groceries.
"Okay, I think I got everything." said Rita, looking at the list. As she was pushing the cart, he sees a boy with light blonde hair, wearing an olive green t-shirt with an orange stripe around the middle of it, blue jeans, white sneakers with orange stripes, and a band-aid on his right cheek, taping a poster on the window, letting out a sigh after he does; out of curiosity, Rita looks at the poster and saw it was a missing persons poster of Sam Sharp.
"Excuse me, but are you looking for Sam Sharp?" asked Rita.
"What's it to you?" asked the boy.
"I'm Rita Loud; my daughter, Luna, is Sam's girlfriend." replied Rita.
"You're Luna's mom?" asked the boy.
"Yes; do you know Sam?" asked Rita.
"I'm Simon Sharp; Sam's my sister." replied the boy, now identified as Simon Sharp. He begins to walk towards the store exit.
"Wait." said Rita, getting Simon's attention.
The next day, in the Grand Underground, in a cavern with a grassy field, trees, and logs, Lincoln, Luna, Clyde, Sam, Stella, and Dawn were standing around; Lincoln was looking at his poketch. A green portal suddenly appeared; Lincoln and Luna's family, Clyde's dads, and Stella's parents walked through it; seconds later, the portal disappears.
"Hey, everyone!" said Lincoln. He and Luna run to their family, and they engage in a group hug.
"Oh, son; it's so good to see you and not through a screen!" said Lynn Sr, tearfully. Clyde was hugging his dads, and Stella is hugging her parents. Sam and Dawn watched the family reunions with smiles in their faces. Rita looked towards Sam.
"Sam; you have a visitor." said Rita. Sam looks with confusion; the family steps aside, revealing Simon behind them, surprising her.
"Simon?" says Sam as she looks at her little brother with surprise.
"Sam!" shouts Simon as he runs over to Sam and hugs her.
"What are you doing here?" asked Sam as her brother embraced her.
"He's been looking for you." said Rita.
"Really?" asked Sam.
"When I was getting food for the picnic at the grocery store, I saw him putting up a missing person poster with you on it." said Rita. Sam looks down at her little brother with tears in her eyes.
"You were really looking for me?" Sam asked Simon.
"Of course I was!" Simon replied. "I was worried sick!"
"Why?" Sam asked. "You really didn't seem like you wanted anything to do with me ever since Mom and Dad divorced."
"I am so sorry!" said Simon. "I was really upset after Mom and Dad split up; I kept you away from me because I didn't want to have a bond that would hurt me if you left!"
"I wasn't going to leave you." said Sam as she hugs her little brother. "No matter what happened, I was gonna be there for you whenever you needed me."
Everyone else watched the two Sharp siblings with tears in their eyes.
"That is, literally, beautiful." said Lori as her lips quivered.
"Totes." Leni said as she cried.
Sam and Simon hugged for five minutes before they broke it.
"And we brought the Pokemon you left with us." said Lynn as she and the Loud sisters who had Pokemon, let them out of their pokeballs.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln. He, Clyde, Dawn, Luna, and Sam let out all of their Pokemon.
"Whoa." said Simon as he looks at the amazing creatures with awe. "So those Pokemon things Luna's family told me about are real."
"They're so cool, aren't they?" Sam asked.
"Hey, Lincoln; I had that Grimer you sent me kiss Rusty on the lips." said Lana with a guilty look on her face.
"Come on; after what Rusty did, you don't need to feel bad for him." said Lincoln.
"Rusty? I was feeling bad for Grimer." said Lana, making everyone laugh.
Moments later, everyone was eating the lunches that the Louds, Zhaus, and McBrides brought with them, with Stella and Dawn sitting next to Lincoln while his sisters giggled at the sight; Sam and Simon were sitting on log next to each other, eating. Stella was also showing her parents her two contest ribbons. As Lincoln was drinking a bottled soda, he looks at the bottle cap from the bottle he was drinking out of in his hand.
"Hey, everyone; can I have your bottle caps?" asked Lincoln.
"How come?" asked Lucy from behind Lincoln, scaring him.
"In this world, bottle caps are worth 2,500 pokedollars each." replied Lincoln.
"Whoa! That's a lot of cash!" said Lynn Sr.
"Sure, Lincoln; we'll give you our bottle caps." said Luan. Soon, everyone was finished eating. Everyone gave Lincoln their bottle caps and put their trash in a garbage bag the Louds brought along.
"So, what now?" asked Howard McBride.
"I would like to see more of these Pokemon?" said Harold McBride.
"Yeah; I want to find another cute one like Stella's Beautifly." said Lola while looking at Stella's Beautifly.
"Sure; good thing we bought plenty of pokeballs after that Pokemon Contest yesterday; I thought you would all like more Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"Hey; I kind of want to spend some time with my sister, alone." said Simon.
"Sure, little dude; we'll respect that." said Luna, making Sam smile. She and Simon walk out of the cavern they were in.
Moments later, Sam and Simon were in a cavern that had a few ponds in it.
"So, how long are you going to stay here in this Sinnoh place?" asked Simon.
"Until the Sinnoh League and the Grand Festival are both over; I want to give my support to Lincoln, Stella, and Dawn." replied Sam.
"Man, this is that Rusty jerk's fault." said Simon with a frown. "If it wasn't for that dumb photo he put up of you and Lincoln kissing, you'd still be in Royal Woods." He then clenched a fist. "I wish I had a Pokemon to punish Rusty with just like Luna's sisters are doing." Sam reaches into her backpack and pulls out an empty pokeball.
"I can help you catch one." said Sam.
"Really?" replied Simon; Sam nods in response. "Great; I want to catch the first Pokemon I see here." They suddenly hear a bubbling sound coming from a pond; a bipedal, light blue, crocodile-like Pokemon jumps out of the water and lands in front of it. Sam takes out her pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Totodile, the Big Jaw Pokemon. It has a habit of biting everything with its well-developed jaws. Even its Trainer needs to be careful." said Sam's pokedex. Sam gives Simon the empty pokeball, then pulls one out of her waist.
"Okay, Simon; Pokemon are easier to capture if you battle them first to tire them out." said Sam. "Luxio, go!" She tosses Luxio's pokeball and releases her. "Luxio, use Charge!" Luxio becomes surrounded by spark and her special defense increases.
"What does that do?" asked Simon.
"Increases Luxio's special defense and makes the next electric type move even stronger." replied Sam. The Totodile runs at Luxio and bites her, dealing damage, and making her flinch; the Totodile then releases a spiral of water from its mouth and it hits Luxio, but not doing much damage due to her special defense being increased.
"Luxio, use Spark!" said Sam. Luxio becomes surrounded by electricty and she charges at Totodile, ramming it, and dealing super effective damage; it falls to the ground. "I think it's weak enough to catch; push that button on the pokeball and throw it at Totodile." Simon pushes the button on his pokeball and enlarges it; he then throws it at Totodile, hitting it, and sucking it in. It wiggled around a few times until it clicked.
"You did it, little bro!" said Sam. She uses her pokedex to look up Totodile's information. "Okay, this says your Totodile's a boy, he knows Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Mud-Slap, Bite, and Scary Face; he has the Torrent ability which powers up his water type moves when his energy's low." Simon walks to Totodile's pokeball and picks it up.
"So, how do I let Totodile out?" asked Simon.
"Toss the pokeball." replied Sam. Simon tosses Totodile's pokeball and lets him out. Sam pulls out a Super Potion and sprays Totodile with it, healing his wounds.
"What's that stuff?" asked Simon.
"A Super Potion; it heals a Pokemon's wounds." said Sam. Simon kneels towards Totodile.
"Hey, Totodile; sorry my sister's Pokemon was rough with you, but I really wanted to have you." said Simon. "I hope you and me can be buds." Totodile smiles in response, prompting Simon to hug him, making him hug him back; Sam smiles at the interaction.
Meanwhile, the Louds were at a dark cavern with large crystals; Lola was busy trying to pull one of them out of the cavern floor.
"Will someone help me with this?!" exclaimed Lola.
"Hey, what's that Pokemon?" asked Luan, pointing at a humanoid Pokemon with a light pink head with dark blue growths resembling clown hair, a white torso with a magenta spot in the middle, light pink arms and legs, white hands, and dark blue feet. Lincoln points his pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Mr. Mime, the Barrier Pokemon and the evolved form of Mime. Jr. Emanations from its fingertips solidify the air into invisible walls that repel even harsh attacks." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"It looks like a combination of a mime and clown; definitely my kind of Pokemon." said Luan. "Will you help me catch it, Lincoln?"
"Sure; here you go." said Lincoln, pulling out an empty pokeball from his backpack and giving it to Luan, then pulling out a pokeball from his waist. "Zorua, go!" He tosses Zorua's pokeball and releases her; the Loud sisters run to her and start petting her for several seconds.
"Sorry; couldn't resist." said Lori.
"Zorua, use Swift!" said Lincoln. Zorua jumps up and releases stars from her body that hits Mr. Mime, damaging it. Mr. Mime runs to Zorua and tries to pound her, but its hand goes right through her.
"Now use Snarl!" said Lincoln. Zorua releases multiple purple energy rings from her mouth and they hit Mr. Mime, damaging it. A black aura surrounds Mr. Mime; purple energy rings are released from its hands and they hit Zorua, dealing super effective damage.
"Use Shadow Sneak!" said Lincoln. Zorua's shadow extends towards Mr. Mime and strikes it, knocking it to the ground. "I think it's weak enough, Luan." Luan throws the pokeball at Mr. Mime, hitting it, and sucking it in. It wiggled around a few times until it clicked.
"Yes!" said Luan, running to Mr. Mime's pokeball and picking it up. "Mr. Mime is mine!" Lincoln use his Rotom Phone to look up Mr. Mime's information.
"This says your Mr. Mime is male, he knows Quick Guard, Wide Guard, Power Swap, Guard Swap, Pound, Copycat, Baton Pass, Encore, and Confusion." said Lincoln. "He has the Soundproof ability which makes him immune to sound based moves."
"Thanks, Lincoln." said Luan.
"Oh, look at those two." said Rita; everyone looks to see a quadrupedal, purple Pokemon with a horn on its forehead, nuzzling a quadrupedal, light blue Pokemon with small whiskers happily. Lincoln points his pokedex at the purple Pokemon.
"Male Nidoran, the Poison Pin Pokemon. It scans its surroundings by raising its ears out of the grass. Its toxic horn is for protection." said Lincoln's pokedex. He then points his pokedex at the light blue Pokemon. "Female Nidoran, the Poison Pin Pokemon. While this Pokémon does not prefer to fight, even one drop of the venom it secretes from its barbs can be fatal."
"Lincoln, would you mind helping us catch those two?" asked Lynn Sr. Lincoln smiles, then takes two empty pokeballs out of his backpack, and gives one to Lynn Sr, and the other to Rita. He pulls another pokeball out of his waist.
"Shieldon, go!" said Lincoln, tossing Shieldon's pokeball and releasing him. "Shieldon, use Tackle on the purple Nidoran!" Shieldon charges at the male Nidoran and rams it, knocking it to the ground. The female Nidoran runs to the male Nidoran to check on him; he gets up and they glare at Shieldon.
"They look mad." said Lynn Jr. The male Nidoran runs at Shieldon and jabs him with his horn, doing moderate damage; the female Nidoran repeatedly swipes its claws at Nidoran, but not doing much damage.
"Shieldon, use Take Down on the light blue Nidoran!" said Lincoln. Shieldon charges at the female Nidoran and rams her with great force; Shieldon flinches from the recoil damage of Take Down, The male Nidoran glares at Shieldon and its eyes glowed red.
"That looks like Leer!" said Lincoln.
"What does that do?" asked Lynn Sr.
"Weakens a Pokemon's defense." replied Lincoln. The female Nidoran weakly scratches Shieldon, doing moderate damage due to his defense being weakened; she then collapses. "Shieldon, use Tackle on the purple Nidoran!" Shieldon charges at the male Nidoran and rams him, knocking him to the ground near the female Nidoran.
"I think they're weak now." said Lincoln. Lynn Sr throws a pokeball at the male Nidoran, hitting it, and sucking it him while Rita throws a pokeball at the female Nidoran, hitting it, and sucking her in; they wiggle around a few times until they clicked.
"We did it!" cheered Lynn Sr and Rita in unison. They run to the Nidorans pokeballs and picked them up. Lincoln looks up the Nidorans information on his pokedex.
"Dad, your Nidoran knows Leer, Poison Sting, Peck, Focus Energy, and Fury Attack." said Lincoln. "Mom, yours knows Growl, Poison Sting, Scratch, Tail Whip, and Fury Swipes; they both have the Rivalry ability which allows them to do more damage to Pokemon that are the same gender as them, and less to those of the opposite gender."
"You mean if my Nidoran battles a female Pokemon, it'll do more damage to it?" asked Rita; Lincoln nods in response.
Everyone spends a good part of the day exploring the Grand Underground, with Clyde's dads being very protective of their son when they were in the cavern with pools of lava in it.
"Be careful not to fall in, Clyde sweetie." said Howard.
"Here, Clyde; don't want you to get dehydrated in here." said Harold, holding out a bottled water. Clyde takes it and begins drinking it.
"Oh, what's that Pokemon?" asked Howard. They look to see a brown, furry Pokemon with a white ring on its chest, long, dark brown ears, and a striped tail.
"Not sure; wish I had a pokedex to find out." replied Clyde. The Pokemon sees the group and stands on its tail.
"Oh, it looks so precious." said Harold.
"Want to catch it?" asked Clyde.
"Oh, Clyde, yes?" asked Howard.
"Sure, Dad." said Clyde, pulling an empty pokeball out of his backpack and giving it to Howard; he then pulls a pokeball out of his waist. "Absol, go!" He tosses his Absol's pokeball and releases her. "Absol, use Knock Off!" Absol leaps at the Pokemon and swings one of her paws at it, hitting it. The Sentret leaps at Absol and repeatedly scratches her.
"Absol, use Quick Attack!" said Clyde. Absol runs at the Pokemon with incredible speed and rams it, knocking it to the ground. "I think it's weak enough to catch, Dad." Howard pushes the button on the pokeball Clyde gave him and enlarges it; he gives it to Harold, and he throws it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in. It wiggled a few times until it clicked.
"Good work, Dads; you caught...okay, I need to find one of my friends who has a pokedex and find out what that Pokemon is." said Clyde. Howard picks up the pokeball and he, Harold, and Clyde walk out of the cavern.
Everyone soon meets back up at the grassy cavern to talk about what they saw. Clyde also has Lincoln use his pokedex to identify the Pokemon his dads caught.
"Sentret, the Scout Pokemon. It has a very nervous nature. It stands up high on its tail so it can scan wide areas." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"This says that your Sentret's a boy, he knows Scratch, Growl, Defense Curl, Fury Swipes, Quick Attack, and Helping Hand; he has the Keen Eye ability which prevents his accuracy from being lowered." said Lincoln.
"Today was fun." said Rita.
"We should do this more often." said Lynn Sr.
"How about every Saturday?" suggested Mrs Zhau.
"That's a wonderful idea." said Harold McBride.
"I wish I found a Beautifly." said Lola with a pout.
"Maybe next time." said Lori.
"Okay." said Lola.
Lisa then takes out her Dimension Watch and uses it to open a portal to her home universe.
"See you later." said Lynn Jr as she and everyone else starts entering the portal.
"Take care, Clyde sweetie." said Howard McBride.
"I will, Dad." said Clyde.
"You too, Stella." said Mr. Zhau.
"And make sure to look after your little boyfriend." said Mrs. Zhau.
"I will, Mom." said Mrs. Zhau.
"Sis?" Simon says to his sister.
"Yeah, little bro?" Sam replied.
"Can I stay with you for a while?" asked Simon.
"Why?" Sam replied.
"Mom's been more drunk than usual and she's not really comfortable to be around." said Simon.
"Yeah, I know that too well." said Sam as she crosses her arms with a frown.
"I don't have a problem with him travelling with us." said Lincoln.
"Me, neither." said Luna.
"I'm okay with it." said Clyde.
"Sure, you can travel with us for a while." said Sam.
"Thanks, sis." said Simon as he hugged his sister.
"We'll be sure to tell your mother, you two." Rita says to Sam and Simon. "Although, it'll be hard for her to believe you two are in another dimension."
"She'll probably be so drunk she won't even care." said Sam as Luna looks at her with concern.
"I'm sure if it wasn't for how things are her right now, she'd probably be worried for you." said Rita.
"I'll believe it when I see it." said Sam.
The group has added another member to it. What else will they do as their Sinnoh adventures continue?
