Kengan Asura: Dreamers Will Rise.
People are not born equal, that's the hard truth, I learned that at four years old. It all began in Keikei city in China. With the news of a bioluminescent baby being born. After that, exceptional people started popping up all over the world. The cause was unclear, but exceptional became the norm. Fantasy had become a reality. Currently, 80% of the world's population consists of superhumans with special abilities. The world was once in chaos, but a new profession was born that once everyone dreamed about. You need a quirk to be a hero. That's what I thought about my entire life. However, my whole world was flipped upside down when I met one person who changed it all.
His name was… Ohma Tokita.
This is the story of how I became one of the strongest heroes in the world.
A young man with green hair, wearing a black school uniform, was currently walking down a busy street, his head down while accepting the reality that was around him. He held a burnt notebook and tried to hold back his tears.
Today was not a good day for him. This was Izuku Midoriya, a young man who fell under the other twenty precincts of the world. The ones who didn't have powers, the quirkless was the word they would call them.
Izuku could only think about the event that happened only hours ago, where the hard truth is you need a quirk to be a hero.
An hour ago, Izuku was standing on a rooftop looking at the hero of Japan, no other than All Might, in a strange turn-off event with a sludge villain that had led up to this meeting. Izuku shyly looked away from the hero. He stood at six feet tall and ripped with muscles. He had blonde hair, and two front strands of it stood up on edge. The hero was out of costume, wearing green cargo pants and a white shirt. Izuku was looking down, closing his eyes, trying to muster out the question.
"Can someone without a quirk become a hero like you?" He asked desperately. All might glance down at Izuku with a serious look.
"Quirks are- back!" All Might stopped speaking as steam began to come off his body. Izuku didn't even notice as he held his head down.
"Because I don't have a quirk, I well… maybe that's not the only reason, but I've always been picked on… that's why… maybe that's why I think saving people is just about the coolest thing someone can do," Izuku then cheerfully looked up at his hero. The one that he would always look up to in his darkest times as a child.
Glancing upward with his filled with joy and fanboy blush. He looked at his hero.
"The way you save people with that fearless smile, I want to be the strongest hero just like you… WHAAAAAAT!?" Izuku was in complete shock at what he was looking at.
Now standing in All Might place was a skeleton of a man with sunken eyes and a skinny body. Izuku was in shock seeing the sudden change.
"You're all shriveled up, who are you, an imposter!" Izuku yelled in panic. The withered Man glanced at the boy and simply told the truth.
"I am All Might," He said, which he followed up by throwing up blood. Izuku was stunned at the site and was completely flabbergasted.
"What?"
"You know how people suck in their gut at the pool well, that's me," All Might said. Then he slumped back down and leaned back against the railing of the roof. Then, he gave a tired glance at the boy.
"You've seen the real me; don't write about it on the internet or tell your friends," All Might said, treating Izuku more like a kid than a fan.
"No way!" Izuku thought. All Might then pulled up his shirt, showing a nasty scar that was on his right lung.
"A fearless smile huh… Five years ago, an enemy did this to me. My respiratory system was nearly destroyed, and my stomach was removed. I've wasted away because of the after-effects of those surgeries. I can only do my hero work for about three hours a day now,"
"Five Years ago? Was that when you fought toxic chainsaw?" Izuku asked. All Might was a little impressed that this kid did know his history.
"This was never made public. I asked that it not be made public," All Might looked at Izuku. "A symbol of peace who saves people with a smile must never be daunted by evil."
Izuku felt a shock in his system as this was not the answer he was hoping for. All Might said with his lecture.
"The reason I smile is to save off the overwhelming pressure and fear I feel,"
Izuku lowered his head, feeling a sense of dread taking over a gentle thing known as his heart.
"A pro should always be ready to risk his life, and without a quirk, can one become a hero? No, I should think not," All Might said without hesitation. Izuku was lost in his dread that he wasn't able to speak.
"If you desire to help people, becoming a police officer is always an option. Those Villain custody officers are often mocked, but that too is admirable work," All Might began to walk down the stairs, just wanting to take the sludge villain in his pocket to the police. All Might stopped and looked over his shoulder.
"It's not wrong to dream. However, you need to be realistic, kid."
Izuku felt like falling to the floor, but he kept his stance up. Why would he cry when he knew deep down that this would happen, it was always the same. His dream was already broken a long time ago. Izuku stood alone for a couple of moments, but he kept on moving.
Izuku was still walking down the street; his gloomy face was worse than usual, as if the dread had finally taken its hold. The dream crushed eyes could only look at the book he worked so hard on.
"You need to be realistic,"
"Even as a third- year he still can't face reality,"
"It's time to start thinking seriously about your future,"
Those words danced into his mind, nailing the idea of giving up. Izuku sniffled and tried so hard to hold back his tears.
"Even… the best of the best said it. Don't cry you knew already, right? This is reality," Izuku said out loud to himself. "It's because I knew that I tried so damned hard,"
So hard not to see. To ignore reality, Izuku felt the darkness warp around his mind as everything went numb. What else could he do but accept it? This was his path to be someone who wouldn't be a hero, Just another person who could do nothing but work at a busy job until he wasted away. Even if this world had its wonders, it also had its nightmares.
This was the silent dying cry of the quirkless, something that no one cared for.
Izuku felt the weight of reality push him down. Making the young have nothing but a dumb idea.
"I guess I could just keep studying business. I'm sure that would be a good choice," He thought. All that matters right now was betting home before it became dark. There was only one problem: after grabbing All Might's leg and landing on a roof, he was completely lost.
Night had finally set in, and the bright neon lights had lit up the streets. Groups of people out to drink and celebrate. Izuku thought maybe if he got on a train, he would be able to find someplace familiar to him. While walking down the street to get home, he passed an alleyway.
Izuku only took one step past the street space and found himself stopping. He didn't know why, but the air had become thicker with tension. Freezing at the spot with curiosity, the young boy felt a strange aura from it. This was no wondrous power or divine intervention; this was the instinct to react to danger.
He glanced down at it, seeing a man sneaky walk down it. Izuku glanced back at the path he was on and into the alleyway. He should have just forgotten about this place altogether, but he couldn't move it as if a Siberian tiger was glaring at him. Izuku wanted to know what was there.
"If you go, you may never come out,"
Izuku spun to his right, amazed at the site, in all of his life watching heroes fight villains, he had never seen a person like this. A person of this size showed up out of nowhere; This man stood over six feet and three inches tall, He completely towers over the youth. He had black-rim glasses and wore a white suit, under it was a blue shirt, and his face was covered in scars, with a short black haircut to match. The stranger's body was another story, as the amount of muscle on this man's body would be All Might to shame. Izuku could only call this man one thing.
"Yakuza," Izuku thought. The man could only look down the alleyway with a calm front.
"So, are you going in there?" He asked. Izuku paused and tried to find an answer.
"I Uh… don't know," Izuku said. The giant stranger nodded and walked away. Izuku was surprised and gawked at the man.
"WHAT! Who are you?" Izuku asked. The giant didn't look back, but he did stop.
"It's Kaoru Hanayama, I just wanted to warn you before you go in there: sometimes people fight in that vacant lot down there, A fighter can die if he goes in there," He said, walking away from the awestruck teen.
"Sometimes people die in there," Izuku repeated out loud. Then, a sudden epiphany hit him. That businessman had just walked down that way. He panicked and looked around, trying to find a hero or somebody to tell, but all he could see were busy crowds of people. Without even paying attention to anything useless, it was their party. Party animals and late-night workers. A place where if a person would be attacked, a bystander wouldn't care. No heroes were on site, he wasn't familiar with this area, and what was the point of calling the police if they would never show up in time…
Izuku looked down the alleyway, seeing only a wave of dark aura; it was his imagination, but all Izuku could see was a giant tiger. Staring at him with hungry eyes that could devour him whole. He was shaking in his boots, and not to mention, he couldn't even think straight. It was all so confusing.
"What should I do…"
Izuku's legs ran into the dirty alleyway. He didn't know why, but they moved on their own.
Unknown to even Izuku, the years of wanting to stop the danger and save people were so overwhelming that his dream would take control over his body. The blood pumping in the young man's veins was pushing him forward past the tiger and into the belly of the beast. He ran until the lights stopped shining on him and a giant abandoned empty lot behind the building. Izuku could see the man standing behind a corner.
Izuku could see the man better. He was an average-looking middle-aged man with a small, unassuming frame and a generally underwhelming presence. He has black hair with the sides grayed and light facial hair framed by his pair of blocky glasses. The man was just looking out into the lot, not paying attention to his surroundings. Izuku was going to reach out to him.
Yet before his fingers could even touch his shoulder. The feeling of intensity and bloodshed in the air. Where was this coming from, you have asked, but it was from the two people who stood in the lot.
Izuku could see a fight was about to break out. However, he watched the event unfold; He couldn't pull away from the site. He wanted to watch this fight, an unspoken feeling of excitement filled his chest as if it was there the whole time.
This was a morbid curiosity as he watched the two fighters stand off against each other. One was six feet tall, but his muscles could not be hidden by his clothes.
Just one cleanse on his face, and Izuku could easily tell that this wasn't any ordinary man.
Where his muscles had swollen to the point that you could see them under his clothes, and his dorsal muscles the linchpin, for the punches were protruding, almost unnaturally. Izuku at first thought it was a quirk, but the way they looked suggested something else.
His face would have easily been mistaken for a boulder, and it had countless scars on it, large and small. Nobody could ever doubt that this man was strong. Izuku, I hope to compare them to a bodybuilder, but that still wouldn't do them justice. A bodybuilder would work more on his muscles to make them look good for the public guy. This man worked on them for another reason.
Yet the other fighter was as if he had completely shrugged off what the man looked like. Izuku could see he was a young man. He's wearing a tracksuit that has a lucky horseshoe symbol on the back of it. The slim strangers seem to be somewhere around five feet and eight inches.
The people who began to square off with each other only looked at the opponent across from them. Izuku wanted to step in, but the way the slim man looked, the glint in his eye. It told him that he had the situation under control.
"He's gonna get himself killed," Izuku thought. The large man looked down at his opponent and had a snarky face.
"You're insane, there's also my build. You got plenty of information to work with if you'd pay attention to it, you'd be able to tell that I ain't on the Square and that I am stronger than you, wouldn't ya?"
Izuku hoped that there was gonna be no violence and that they would talk it out, yet the more he watched, the more he couldn't help but wonder how this would play out.
"But you picked this fight with me, a yakuza that's far stronger than you, that ain't sane," He said. The young man took off his hoodie, revealing that he had black hair that reached past his ears. The lean fighter glanced at the yakuza. He stretched his neck and had a prideful grin.
"Nice try… you are half right,"
The yakuza glared at the man staring down at him. Yet he continues talking.
"Oh, you want me to check over your answer? First off, you got the part about your identity right. I could tell you were a yak at first glance. That part is correct; now they hear what you got wrong,"
Izuku watched as the man grinned ear to ear, showing a wild look in his eyes.
"you're stronger than me? why don't you quit talking shit and come at me, you big tub of lard!" This person who had mocked someone stronger than them was insane.
Izuku and the man who had watched both gawked in shock.
The large yakuza member had a furious look on his face. Izuku could feel that murderous blood light radiating like black fire. The yak had gripped his shirt and ripped it off.
"NO, I got one more thing, right? You are fucked in the head," His share out completely and came off, revealing a muscle form that resembled the statue of a devil king. There was even a tattoo of a devil on his back.
"He has to have a quirk, there's no way a regular person can be that huge," Izuku thought in a panic. The demonstration of physical form did not sway or even bother the slim man.
"Damn, that's pretty impressive~," He mockingly sang. "You'd make most bodybuilders look average. You can't have gotten that big with any half-assed-" The lean man was caught off as the yakuza threw his coat at him. Izuku almost missed the blur of a strike coming at the man. He wanted to shout and scream to get out of the way, but the man who was being attacked simply dodged it.
The giant yakuza let out a flurry of punches. However, none of them even came close to the man as he weaved between each strike with ease. Izuku was in shock at how fast the giant man was. He thought for a guy that big, he moved fast. Even from this distance, he could feel the punches being thrown. The steps being taken like he was right between them.
Then, the giant stepped on a bottle. Izuku thought this would be a perfect time for him to take advantage of the yakuza's mistake, but Izuku was wrong as the giant man had prepared a high kick.
The giant had kicked the wall, missing his target, but completely broke the concrete wall with only a kick. The lean combatant was a distance away from him. He had his arms crossed, looking at the damage the giant yakuza had done.
"Does this guy have a strength quirk of some kind, I mean, it feels like he doesn't," Izuku thought.
"So those are steel-toed boots, huh? I sure wouldn't want to be on the other side of that," The giant yak pulled his foot from the wall, looking more annoyed than angry.
"You're a real irritating son of a bitch,"
The stranger only smirked it was amused by the comment. "Haha… I'm irritating, am I?"
Izuku had only one behind his mind: that this man was no match for the giant. A thin and delicate man easily defeats a giant, something that would only come out of fantasy, but in reality, strength and size are linked. The small are overwhelmed by the large, and the soft are overrun by the heart. That's what happens in the real world. You need to have the power to do something about it. Then why did Izuku feel like he was wrong?
"Stop thinking like trying to kill myself. Hope there's no place for fantasy in the real world!" Izuku shouted in his mind.
"C'mon, how much longer are you gonna keep running around?" The giant yakuza said as he was looking very tired of this battle. "You picked this fight, why don't you bring some…"
"Sure, here goes,"
The large yakuza couldn't finish the sentence as the stranger bolted straight towards him. Izuku gasped seeing the man's attack.
He could feel the power in that man's fist. With a devastating punch to the man's face, his skull almost looks like it caved in.
The businessman bystander and the young school teen both looked in amazement, seeing that that attack had hurt this powerful man. The large yakuza. Quickly got up from his dazed state and rushed right towards the man again, only for him to be kicked in the side of the head so fast that the leg almost looked like a whip.
Izuku's heart was beating out of his chest and excitement. He had only felt this way one time before as he watched all might save so many people from that burning building. This moment was matched to the first sighting of the number one hero.
"You just don't get it, do ya," The stranger said, pointing down at the man. "Muscles aren't enough.
Izuku felt his throat turn dry, and his eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing. This man, the size of a hill, seemed to shrink before his very eyes. In a quick realization and correction, the man was shrinking, and the man in the tracksuit was getting bigger. It seemed unbelievably big that the man who had the large yakuza became like a pet to him. Izuku blinked once again to be welcome back to reality. He was so utterly confused at what had just happened that he couldn't believe what he was looking at. This small fight made his view of reality change.
"So now, do you understand which one of us is the challenger here? Well, just keep that in mind and bring it like your life depends on it," the stranger in the tracksuit said. The giant yakuza screamed in anger and cocked back a punch so hard that his fist almost formed into a scythe.
The man in the tracksuit dodged out of the attack and grabbed the man's arm, halting him in his spot. Izuku watched closely as the man in the tracksuit gave a slight twist to the giant arm. He could hear two cracks and one with a motion that the arm was completely broken.
The yakuza fell to one knee, heaving in pain.
"Oh, looks like I dislocated pretty neatly," The stranger said, admiring his handiwork. The giant yakuza grits his teeth, his eyes bulging in front of his skull, one swollen up from the kick delivered earlier.
"Not done yet," He wheezed out. Then, a swift kick to his headshot him to his feet. The upper kick was so fast that Izuku mistook it for a firing squad unloading on their target. The man stood motionless as he began to fall towards the man in the tracksuit. He was going to fall right on if it weren't for the stranger delivering a cake so powerful it flung him across the lot.
Both Izuku and the man who watched both stood in shock. Their mouths threatened to catch flies. The Stranger in the tracksuit turned around, facing both of them and walked towards them.
Izuku's body froze. You could feel the blood luster rating from the man as he approached them, and the next step that he took was right past them as he began to walk out of the alleyway. A cold sweat formed on his brow, and Izuku was awestruck.
"Please tell me your name!" The businessman turned around and didn't even quite acknowledge the boy who was standing right behind him. Possibly because his only focus was on the fighter he just watched. Izuku was frozen with fear as a simple gland from the stranger in this tracksuit was enough to make him shake in his shoes.
"Ohma Tokita."
Ohma Tokita, that was this man who had demonstrated such ferocity, technique, and powerful movement just now. Izuku thought it was a powerful name. The man spun around, looking at the businessman and Izuku.
"And what about you two?" Ohma asked.
Izuku was choking on his words. He didn't know what to say. What should he say? What if this man was deranged and evil? What if-,
"My name is Yamashita Kazuo," He cried out in fear. Izuku gasped at this man, truly giving his personal information out in fear. Would this Ohma person track them down later and do something to him?
"Hey, greenhead, what's yours?"
Izuku felt his breath come to a halt as he faced the man who stood in front of him. With a swift decision made by his instincts alone. He said his name out loud, just as nervous as Yamashita.
"My name is Izuku Midoriya, sir!" He said loudly. Ohma heard the names and nodded. Izuku thought he could relax, only to feel a black aura shrouding him.
"So you two wanna fight me?
Yamashita Kazuo couldn't answer, and he responded with a frightful and shaking answer.
"N-o," He answers hesitantly. Ohma then glanced at Izuku, who stood still, afraid to even move right now. Yamashita glanced at the boy beside him. It was only now that I took notice of him, but he greatly feared for his safety and wondered why a child would be here at all times.
"Do you have a quirk?" Izuku asked. Ohma took a couple of steps forward and looked at the young man towering over him.
"No,"
Izuku eyes lit up with wonder as he glanced up at the man. He had witnessed the impossible happen right in front of his eyes. What would be his answer? Then something happened in Izuku, and the bloodlust that was raining over him could respond in two actions: fight or flight, and right now, he wasn't feeling like running.
"Then… I will fight you," Izuku said. Yamashita gasped in shock as his body ran for the hills, his entire mind was in panic. Yamashita moved and needed to save itself immediately. Izuku could see the stern gaze of Ohma right on him.
"Fine by me," Ohma said, taking his hands out of his pockets.
Notes: So this is a very different story. I've been a fan of Baki, Kengan, and Streetfighter, but I felt there was such a lack of that on this site I had to add to it. I wanted to add to it. Now, what do you think of this fic. Kengan, Baki, and Street Fighter are all in the same world with MHA. I thought it would be fun. Not to mention, some of these guys in these fighting mangas are no joke. So if you guy want more let me know also, I'll be posting a new hero the beast wars soon so watch out for that. I only have one question to ask you... Do you want fight?"
