Somewhere in the middle of the ocean outside of Ninjago, thunder clashed as the Hands of Time Zeppelin was flying across the sky while Machia was at the wheel while the Hands of Time was on one side, Ray, Maya, Skylor, Nya, Kai, and the aging Wu was on the other as they moved through the storm and kept some distance from each other.
"Destination dead ahead." Machia spoke out.
"Excellent, Supreme Commander Machia." Krux said with a smirk as he turned to his brother. "The final Time Blade will soon be ours."
"Unless this is all a Ninja trick to trap us in the middle of nowhere." Machia said while glaring at the heroes.
"It had best not be. For his sake." Acronix said as he gestured to the weakened aging Wu as thunder clashed.
"Ugh we can't do this!" Kai groaned in frustration. "We can't let Krux and Acronix force us into getting the last Time Blade for them!"
"Its reversal power is the only way to undo the effects of the Time Punch on Master Wu." Nya reminded her brother while looking at Wu. "What other choice do we have?
"She got a point, Kai." Skylor said. "Not even Misako knows another way to cure Wu."
"Time is short and our friend's survival, your master's survival is at stake." Ray said to his son while placing a hand on Kai's shoulder.
"Your father is right." Maya said while holding Wu. "Focus on the task at hand. Retrieving the Time Blade will be more dangerous than you can possibly imagine." She said in concern to her children before the thunder struck, which made the ship shake while the others gasped in startled while some red light glowed from the bottom.
"I don't get it." Kai said in confusion. "Why did you put the Time Blade way out here?"
"It was so powerful that Wu knew it had to be hidden somewhere safe." Ray explained. "So, he asked us to seal it in the ancient Library of Honomizu."
"Hono-what now?" Nya asked in confusion.
"Honomizu was once a thriving port town that was consumed by an undersea volcano that buried the city leagues below an impossibly harsh environment." Ray explained as he looked down over the edge with a serious look. "A combination of fire and water…" He continued before thunder clashed as he gave a un-flinch look. "The Boiling Sea." He finished as they looked down and saw some fire burning while in water
"Huh, fire and water together, you don't see that everyday." Skylor said in surprise.
At the Vermillion Swamp, the rest of the Ninja are still fighting off the Vermillion Warriors, but everytime they knock them down, they reformed."Ew. No matter how many times you see it, watching those snickers hatch is gross." Jay said in disgust.
"Indeed." Rose agreed with a cringe.
"Jay, Rose, less watching, more helping!" Lydie shouted as they ran closer to the tunnel as they kept fighting off the Vermillion Warriors.
"You know, guys, I was thinking that now we got Ninjag's workers out of here, maybe we should join them." Jay suggested as they ran up to the tunnel.
"What about Uncle Wu?" Lloyd asked as they kept fighting.
"He's gone." Jay said as he whacked a warrior away. "It's a strategic retreat."
"'Strategic retreat' is just a fancy way of saying 'giving up'." Cole stubbornly said as he held a Vermillion Warrior and tossed another over his shoulder without looking.
"Cole, now's not the time to be stubborn." Morro said as he blew some wind to blow away some Vermillion Warriors.
"Captain, Lloyd, what do you two think?" Demir asked the Garma-Twins. "You two are Masters in training."
"We need to regroup at the temple." Lloyd said as they ran to the tunnel.
"Zane, cover ice!" Lydie ordered as Zane shot an ice beam around the end of the tunnel, covering the entry on ice as the Vermillion Warriors hissed.
"Tank squadron, report!" Raggmunk called out as a catapult launched some boulders, hitting the ice as they began to crack.
"I really hate these things!" Rose complained.
"You and me both, Rose." Demir agreed.
"Quick! Before they get through!" Lydie shouted as they ran down the tunnel, but Zane stopped as he received a beep in his head.
"One moment. I'm getting a signal." Zane said as he looked at the ice wall.
"Oh, yeah? Does it sound anything like this…" Jay started calmly before he snapped. "Move your butt, Zane!" He shouted.
Zane ignored him as he scanned the swamp before getting Borg's signal. "Cyrus Borg. I must retrieve him." He said seriously.
"Zane, wait, you can't go out there!" Morro said to them. "You would be really outnumbered."
"He's right." Lydie said in agreement as the ice wall began to crack further. "There's, like, a million more Vermillion out there."
"There's no way you could possibly save him all by yourself." Demir said to him. "And I don't think I can handle that many Vermillions to remove their armor." He said as he rushed up beside Zane. "So I'm coming with you." He said as the others were surprised by this. "What? We're Ninja. Saving people is, you know, what we do."
"If you're going, I'm going too." Rose said as she rushed up next to Demir. "No more going in alone. We're doing this together." She declared.
"Yes, we are." Lydie said as the other rushed up to them before they saw the ice wall about to collapse. "Take cover!" She called out as the ice wall began to collapse completely as Raggmunk and Blunck then looked into the tunnel and saw no sign of the Ninja.
"Where are they?" Raggmunk questioned as then went into the hive mind. "Vermillion, check the tunnel." He ordered as the Vermillion Warriors searched the tunnel.
"Any sign of escape?" Blunck questioned before the vermillions moved aside and showed the Shadow Bounty still there. "Do you know what this means?" He asked his partner.
"The Ninja have been eliminated!" Raggmunk exclaimed with a smirk.
"Victory!" The two commanders cheered as they high five and shared a laugh.
"Or they found another exit." Raggmunk quickly added with a frown.
"Either way, they're gone." Blunck said. "There's work to be done." He then went into the hive mind. "All Vermillion stand down. Return to the Dome immediately." He ordered as they all walked back into the swamp.
"We are so getting a promotion." Raggmunk said as he and his partner went back down, while they didn't notice the Ninja were hiding behind some boulders.
"Ha. What luck. They left." Jay commented.
"Jeez for tough Snake Samurai Warriors they sure are big idiots." Morro said while shaking his head.
"They're not the sharpest crayons in the box." Demir said with a brow. "Which gives us the advantage."
"Except all the Vermillion forces in the swamp are apparently headed to the same place we are: The Dome." Zane said as he gestured to the Dome where Borg was, which was filled with Vermillion Warriors.
"I didn't say 'What good luck'." Jay said as they got out of the boulders.
"And I did say that gives us an advantage." Demir said with a shrug. "And I never said it was easy."
"So what do we do now?" Rose asked.
"Yeah, we're in deep trouble the moment they spot us." Cole said as Lloyd and Lydie looked at the loose armor that were left over from the fight.
"Then let's make sure they don't." Lloyd said as he picked up a helmet.
"Ninjas, time for the arts of disguises." Lydie declared as the Ninja searched for loose armor around.
At the Boiling Sea, the captured heroes are still over it as Kai looks down at the sea with a nervous look. "Eh, gotta give whoever named it the Boiling Sea credit for accuracy." Kai said, a little scared after seeing the sea.
"You can say that again." Skylor commented.
"Kai, Nya, I am sorry." Ray said to his children with a guilty look. "We never expected anyone ever to return. Least of all, our children. But only the Masters of Fire and Water, working together, can traverse it." He explained, which surprised the three.
"Your journey will be fraught with peril: traps, enormous obstacles and Geotonic Rock Monsters." Maya said, which made the three a bit nervous.
"And you will need the Dragon Blade." Ray said as he went up to Krux. "Allow me." He said as he snatched the blade back.
"What?! What are you doing?!" Acronix demanded in anger.
"I knew it!" Machia shouted as she stood up. "This is a ninja trick!" She shouted as she rushed forever to Ray, before Skylor came in and socked Machia away with a punch.
"Back off, sweetheart." Skylor said with a glare as Machia hissed.
"It is the key to successfully getting you the Reversal Blade." Ray quickly said with a firm look as Machia hissed at them.
"It's one weapon. We still have three Time Blades." Krux said with a shrug to his brother.
"I suppose escape is impossible." Acronix said in agreement. "Although, I'd love for them to try." He said with a smirk, which his brother did the same in agreement.
"Machia, stand down." Krux said as Machia growled and stand back as Ray gave the sword to his son.
"Now you must use it to create the Fusion Dragon." Ray explained.
"The what?" Kai asked in surprise, as did Skylor and Nya.
"What's that?" Skylor asked in confusion.
"Only a fusion dragon can plunge the depths of the Boiling Sea and only the Dragon Blade can create one." Ray instructed as they eyed the dragon blade.
"You will make the impossible possible." Maya added while holding the blade along with her son. "And unify the elemental powers of fire and water." She instructed.
"Mmm, now that is interesting." Skylor said as she turned to Kai and Nya. "Alright you two, give it a shot."
Kai nodded as he tossed the Dragon Blade up while he and Nya shot fire and water high, which fused together into the Dragon Blade as they created a two headed dragon, one that is blue and the other is red as the group covered their eyes from the flash a bit before they saw the dragon.
"The Fusion Dragon." Maya said as Kai quickly caught the Dragon Blade as the Fusion Dragon gave a roar while water and flames burst from its body.
"Okay, now that is cool!" Skylor said in amazement as she unknowingly touched Nya and Kai as some powers flowed into her.
"Now, when you reach the first obstacle, you must-" Ray tried to say, but Kai cut him off.
"No time. Wu's wasting away." Kai quickly said after looking at Wu. "We'll just figure it out as we go." He said as he jumped over and got on the Fusion Dragon as Nya jumped over.
"He can be a little hot-headed!" Nya called out.
"He gets that from his father!" Maya commented.
"I believe that." Skylor said as she jumped over. "Wait for me!" She called as she hopped onto the Fusion Dragon.
"Skylor, you're not Master of Water or Fire! It will be hard for you to journey with them!" Ray called out to Skylor after she jumped over.
"No, but I'm the Master of Amber! I can mimic their powers!" Skylor said as her hand burst into flames, surprising the two former Elemental Masters.
"Oh, then you can go with them!" Maya said with a surprise smile.
"Thanks!" Skylor said before she turned to the two smith siblings. "Let's go, guys!" She called as they nodded while the Fusion Dragon flew up.
"Remember, work together!" Maya called out to as the two Ninja and Skylor screamed as they dived into the boiling sea, but when they entered, they were covered in a water bubble to keep them from touching the water and keep oxygen as they flew at intense speed through the boiling see as the three looked in awed as they moved around and avoided the pillars as they screamed.
They then stopped when they saw a cave a the end, which the Fusion Dragon was too big to fit through as the three nodded to each other as Kai and Nya both held the Dragon Blade as the Fusion Dragon vanished, causing the three to begin to swim through the cave as they swam through the tunnel.
After a bit of swimming, they resurfaced out of the water as they all took deep breaths. "Phew. I didn't know how much longer I could hold my breath." Nya said in deep breaths.
"Same here." Skylor agreed as she took a deep breath. "Oh man it's too dark in here, I can't see a thing."
"The Master of Fire is on it." Kai bragged as he lit up his hand to shed some lighting as they walked down the cave. "Nice, huh? Heh. Sometimes I don't know what we'd do without me." He boasted as he didn't see the edge at the end of the cave, which caused him to yelp and was about to fall over if Skylor and Nya didn't grab him and pull him up as he gave a sheepish look. "Who knew you could be this high up under the sea?" He asked with a sheepish smile.
The three looked down and saw a ruined village surrounded by streams of lava. "That little dot down there must be the Lost Library of Honomizu." Skylor theorizes.
"So, any idea how to reach it without breaking our necks?" Kai asked the girls.
"Well, we could ask our dad." Nya suggested before she gave a frown. "Oh, no, wait, you were too impatient for that." She sarcastically told her brother about his impatient behavior earlier.
"Next time, how about waiting for the bigger info, Kai." Skylor said with a teasing look. "Because it never hurts to be patient." She added as Kai gave a sheepish look.
Nya then looked down as she had an idea. "Hang on. I have an idea." She said as she rushed up to a rocky slide. "We slide down this."
"What? We'd be torn to shreds." Kai said in disbelief at his sister's idea.
"Which is where my powers comes in." Nya said as she grabbed the two, which made them yelp as Nya used her water power to make a water stream as they slid down. "Sometimes I don't know what you'd do without me." He bragged as they all laughed as they slid down the rocky slide.
"This is fun!" Skylor cheered as they continued to slide down.
Back in the swamp, the Ninja, now disguised as Vermillion Warriors, walked into the dome as they saw how empty it was. "Well, that was easy." Cole commented.
"Yeah, too easy." Jay said with a smile before he was hit by a wrench. "Ow!" He cried out as he fell onto the floor as the Ninja too ready stances.
"Once more unto the breach! Freedom!" Borg declared as he waved a pip in his hand as he wheeled towards the Ninja and knocked them down, thinking they were Vermillion Warriors as he was about to hit Lloyd.
"Stop! He's not a Vermillion!" Zane called out to Borg.
"I know a snake when I see one." Borg said before Demir stepped forward.
"Borg, easy, it's us." Demir said as he took off his helmet to reveal his face.
"Ninja? You've come to rescue me!" Borg said in relief as Jay groaned as he got up.
"Ugh, a decision I'm starting to regret." Jay said with a look after what Borg just did after getting knocked down by a wrench.
"I told you I'd be back, Borg." Demir said as he put his helmet back on. "I was lucky the others were in the sewers already when I escaped."
"Now come on, let's get you out of here before we're discovered." Lydie said as they stood up.
"No, wait, remember what I told you what Borg was forced to make." Demir said to them. "We gotta stop them before they use it." He said before turning to Borg. "Please tell me that it isn't finished, Borg."
"I'm afraid I did, Demir." Borg said as tossed the pipe away.
"Okay, can you guys please tell us what it is you're talking about?" Morro questioned the two. "Because Demir filled us in on the Hands of Time having you as a special case, Borg, so what is it they made you build, Borg?"
"I've heard them call it the Iron Doom." Borg said as he flipped a lever as it revealed a giant metal mech that has the same details from Ray's blueprints, much to their shock. "Krux and Acronix's ultimate weapon."
"And you designed it?" Zane asked.
"No, a blacksmith did." Borg answered.
"Yeah, Borg and I saw it already completed when they captured us." Demir said to them. "I was just putting in the finishing touches on the metal while Borg was making something for the Iron Doom."
"And I'm afraid that I am responsible for that." Borg said as he gestured to the Apparatus, which is similar to a clock. "It's a…"
"A nano fuse neo atomic power source." Zane spoke up as they all ducked when a Vermillion walked past them. "Which according to my calculations creates an energy displacement sufficient to allow for-" He then gasped. "Oh, oh, dear, temporal voyage." He said grimly.
"Temporal voyage?" Cole repeated in shock.
"Time Travel." Jay spoke up. "Temporal means time, duh, pay attention, Cole."
"It harnesses the power of the Time Blades." Borg explained. "If Krux and Acronix get all four, they will be able to take all these Vermillion Warriors anywhere in time." He stated, which worried the group of what Krux and Acronix's true plan was.
Back at the Boiling Sea, Kai, Nya, and Skylor continue to slide down before they finally made it to the bottom as they landed on their feet as they had a small laugh before they walked forward to the library with boulders around them.
"Okay, now that was fun. Gotta love waterslides." Skylor commented with a smile.
"You said it, Skylor." Kai said in agreement.
"Yeah." Nya agreed as she looked around. "As deadly obstacles go, it was pretty fun." She said with a smile. "I'm starting to think Mom overstated the danger." She said as they walked closer to the boulders.
"You know how moms can get." Kai said with a smirk while Nya frowned.
"No, I never knew one, because…" Nya started with a frown as Kai and Skylor realizes what she meant.
"Because they got kidnapped when you were only three." Kai said with a cringed look.
"Yeah, not the best words to say, Kai." Skylor said with a cringed look as well.
"Right, sorry." Kai apologized as they went closer to Nya. "My point was, moms like to worry about everything. But this is nothing. All that's left is a climb over some boulders and…" He trailed off when the boulders started moving, which made the three backed away as they saw the boulders were creatures. "Hang on. Those aren't boulders. Those are…" One of them roared. "What'd Mom call them?
"Geotomic Rock Monsters!" Nya cried out as the Rock Monsters roared and got close to them.
"She understated the danger!" Kai exclaimed.
"This is an overstatement of the definition!" Skylor shouted as the three jumped away when one of the Rock Monster spewed out lava.
Back in the swamp, the Ninja and Borg looked at The Iron Doom in shock. "Krux and Acronix are gonna travel back in time in that thing?" Jay exclaimed in shock. "We gotta stop it!"
"How do we stop it?" Lydie asked Borg.
"During assembly. I program in a secret backdoor self-destruct code." Borg said to them. "But, they watched me and Demir like a hawk as I built it, so I never got a chance to enter the code."
"Then we'll just have to sneak down and type in the code ourselves." Lloyd declared.
"Sneak into Vermillion Warrior Central?" Jay questioned with a brow. "Are you nuts, Lloyd?"
"I agree with my brother on that idea." Lydie said with a serious look. "Unless you guys have a better plan? One that doesn't allow Krux and Acronix to time travel off to who-knows-when to do who-knows-what?"
"Lydie and Lloyd have a point there." Morro nodded in agreement.
"We just need the code." Lydie said as she turned to Borg.
"Ah, yes, of course." Borg said with a smile. "It's, um…" He muttered as he tried to remember. "Oh, I don't remember."
"What?!" Cole exclaimed in disbelief.
"I know it's a long sequence, so I committed to the deep recesses of my brain." Borg explained.
"That doesn't help us, Borg." Rose said with a brow.
"Yes. Well…" Borg said with a sheepish look. "Eh, perhaps if I see the panel it would jar the numbers to the front of my brain?" He suggested.
"Looks like you're coming with us." Lydie said as they were about to walk off.
"Going somewhere?" Blunck questioned as the group turn and saw him and Raggmunk with a group of Vermillions behind them.
"He said, 'Going somewhere, egghead'?" Raggmunk repeated.
"Oh, I didn't say the 'egghead' part." Blunck said to his partner. "But that's a nice touch."
"Eh, yes." Borg said with a nervous look as the Ninja stood quiet. "Um, I was hoping to inspect my Apparatus on the factory floor."
"Why exactly?" Raggmunk questioned. "To sabotage it?
"On the contrary, to ensure it's properly installed." Borg lied. "Imagine what Krux and Acronix will do to me, and you, if it doesn't work.
"Uh, good point." Blunck said in agreement as he and Raggmunk nodded in agreement. "We should let him inspect it."
"I asked these gentlemen to escort me down, but they didn't respond." Borg said while gesturing to the Ninja.
"Of course, you can't control the hive mind." Blunck said before he went into the hive mind. "Vermillions, take him to the Iron Doom." He ordered.
The Ninja looked at each other in silence before they walked up to Borg and started escorting him as they avoided eye contact, except for Jay. "Aye-aye." He said, which made Raggmunk grab Jay by the arm.
"Did you just speak?" Raggmunk questioned.
"No." Jay said before he realized what he did. "Okay, that time I did." He said before he lost his helmet as he gave a sheepish look.
Lydie facepalms herself. "Oh, Jay." She muttered.
"Vermillion, attack!" Raggmunk ordered as his eyes glowed.
"Wait, wait, do you mean us Vermillion or…" Jay was cut off when a Vermillion whacked him away to the others.
"Seriously, Jay, we're Ninja. We're supposed to be stealthy." Cole said with a look as the Vermillion Warriors surrounded them and Borg.
"Oh, I'm way past stealth." Jay retorted.
"No, you really aren't." Morro said as the Vermillions got close to them.
"NINJA, GO!" The Ninja shouted as they did Spinjitzu and got out of their disguises and then started fighting off the Vermillion Warriors, but they were quickly cornered and tossed aside by them.
"Cornered again? This gets old." Cole complained.
"I said it once and I'll say it again, I hate these stupid snakes!" Demir exclaimed in frustration.
"Hang on. Do you hear that?" Lloyd asked, hearing something outside.
"What?" Jay asked before they heard revving sounds as the samurai mobile, now in blue, rushed in and took out the Vermillion Warriors as the new Samurai X, now sportal blue details, came out from it. "Samurai X?!"
"I said attack!" Raggmunk yelled through the hive mind.
"Go, go, go!" Lydie shouted as the Ninja rushed off and started fighting the Vermillion Warriors as Samurai X got off his ride.
"Cyrus Borg. I am relieved you are safe." Samurai X said as he walked up to Borg and went behind the wheelchair. "I have been looking for you."
"How did you find me?" Borg asked in confusion.
"I was able to hack into Zane's scanner. He located you and I came." Samurai X said as a giant Vermillion Warrior came over them, but when it was about to hit the two, it was frozen in ice as it crumbled down when Zane appeared from behind.
"Samurai X. You appear to always show up at just the right time." Zane commented as Samurai X went and placed Borg in the car.
"You can say I'm hard-wired that way, Nindroid." Samurai X said to Zane as he turned to Borg. "Now, let's get you home."
"No, we need him to shut down the Iron Doom." Zane said while gesturing to the Iron Doom, which Samurai X looked at.
"Challenge accepted." Samurai X said as he got on the vehicle and started up before revving up the ramps.
"Sweet ride." Jay commented.
"I gotta say, this Samurai X is impressive." Rose complimented.
Back at the Boiling Sea, Skylor, Nya, and Kai are still trying to fight the Rock Monsters as they avoid the lava spews. "Skylor and I will take care of this!" Kai said to his sister. "Go!" He said as Nya nodded as she rushed off. "You ready, Skylor?"
"I was born ready." Skylor said with determination as she and Kai ready their fire powers and then shot them at the Rock Monsters, but the creatures shrugged the attacks off before grabbing the two and tossing them away as they landed on their feet. "That didn't work.
"So, apparently, Geotomic Rock Monsters are fireproof." Kai groaned as they turned to Nya, who shot a water beam at a Rock Monster, which evaporated.
"And waterproof!" Nya called out before the Rock Monster grabbed her. "Put me down!" She called as she shot another water beam.
"You heard my sister: Put her down!" Kai shouted as he shot a fire beam, which the two elements hit the same rock creature, which caused it to steam up and roar in pain as it dropped Nya before Skylor realized something.
"Nya, Kai, fire and water combined! The steam is cracking them" Skylor exclaimed before the Rock Monster exploded while some steam was released.
"Like the dragon, we work together!" Kai said with a smile as the three faced the Rock Monsters.
"Well, it's a good thing there's three of us and one of us can copy both powers." Skylor said with a smirk as Kai and Nya shot their elements at one of each Rock Monsters. "My turn!" She called as she summoned Water and Fire on one hand each as she fired the two elements from opposite of the Smith siblings as the Rock Monsters began to steam up and cracked into many pieces.
Then, they saw the pieces of the Rock Monster coming back together as they gave a roar, but they saw the Rock Monsters being three apples high while the three Ninja looked down in amusement.
"Grrr!" Skylor growled with her hands up as the Rock Monsters gave shrieks and rushed off while the three laughed and high-five each other as they walked up to the entrance of the library as they walked up to the large gate.
"Amazing. Gotta be dad's handy work." Kai said to the girls.
"I don't see a handle." Skylor said as she couldn't see any handles on the door.
"How do we open something this big?" Nya wondered.
"By working together." Kai said with a determined look as he shot a fire beam at the door. "Fire!"
"Water!" Nya called out as she shot a water beam, which did no effect.
"Uh, yeah, I don't think it'll be similar to the Rock Monsters." Skylor said with a frown.
"Working together, haha. I think it's like this." Kai said as he gave the two girls a click tongue and a wink before charging at the door, which he kicked, but nothing as he tried punching it, which made him cringed in pain as he shook the pain as he tried budging the door again, but nothing. "No! Ugh! We came so far! Ugh! We used our fire and water power together! We did everything right! Why would Dad build a door that doesn't open!?" He ranted as he kept hitting the door in frustration.
Nya then noticed the Dragon Blade's had a symbol on it and it looks similar to the one on the door as she gasped in realization. "The Dragon Blade!" She exclaimed with a smile. "Our parents said that this is the key to our success and the key to retrieving the Time Blade. For once, take two seconds to think a problem through." She said to her brother.
"What are you saying, Nya?" Skylor asked.
"I'm saying, I think it's the literal key." Nya said as they then saw Ray's blacksmith symbol.
"Dad's Blacksmith stamp." Kai muttered as Nya took the Dragon Blade and placed it over the stamp as the blue side started glowing on the blade.
"Both of us!" Nya said to her brother as Kai held the blade as well as the red side glowed as the Smith siblings turned it and stood back. After a moment of silence, the door opened as they stepped forward, which showed the Reversal Blade in the middle of the room.
"The Reversal Blade!" Kai said as he rushed up to the Blade. "We did it!"
"Kai, be careful." Skylor said to him. "There might be one last-" She was cut off when Kai took the Reversal Blade out, the whole room began to crumble down. "Trap." She muttered as she and Nya dodged the falling boulders.
"You think maybe we were supposed to do that together?! Like everything else?!" Nya questioned her brother as the entire cave was falling apart
"We gotta bolt!" Kai said to them. "Or do you want to stay and think the problem through?" He sarcastically said to his sister.
"I choose the latter! But how are we gonna get out of here in time?!" Skylor asked as more of the cave began to fall.
"The Fusion Dragon!" Nya said as she quickly grabbed the Dragon Blade as Nya tossed it as she and Kai shot their elemental powers at it, summoning the Fusion Dragon as it appeared and gave a roar as the three hopped on and started flying out of the cave.
Back at the Swamp, Samurai X drove Borg up the ramps. "Stop them! Stop them all at all cost!" Blunck exclaimed as the Ninja started climbing up the Iron Doom while Lydie did Airjitzu to get up while they used their powers to keep the Vermillion Warriors away.
"There's so many!" Jay exclaimed.
"Keep fighting!" Lydie yelled as she and Morro fought a huge Vermillion. "We gotta hold them back long enough for Samurai to get Cyrus Borg to the panel!" She exclaimed.
"The control panel is right there." Borg said while pointing to the side of the Apparatus while Samurai X kept driving on the walls
"I hope you have no fear of heights." Samurai X said to Borg.
"What?" Borg asked before he was launched out, which made him scream as he was flung into the air while Samurai X continue to drive around.
"Air team, intercept." Blunck ordered as the flying Vermillions came in and flew towards Samurai X, which Zane noticed.
"Airjitzu. NINJA, GO!" Zane called as he Airjitzu up towards the flying Vermillion behind Samurai X and used his powers to knock him down before he landed as Samurai X launched himself up and quickly caught Borg as they landed next to the Apparatus as Samurai X carried Borg towards the panel as Borg opened it up.
"Let's see, I know the code is a thirteen hundred digit sequence, but… Oh…" Borg muttered while trying to think while the others kept fighting off the Vermillion Warriors.
"How's it going up there?!" Lydie called out.
"He needs more time!" Zane called out.
"Well, he better be quick! Because we're running out of time!" Morro called out as he blew some Vermillion Warriors away.
Back at the Boiling Sea, the Hands of Time looked over the ocean while waiting for Skylor, Kai, and Nya to return. "Where are they? What if they failed? Then what do we do?" Acronix questioned his brother in concern before the Fusion Dragon flew out of the water, much to the Hands of Time surprise and Ray and Maya's relief.
"The children! They're safe!" Maya said in relief as they saw the Fusion Dragon coming towards them.
"But did they get the Time Blade?" Ray asked as Kai held up the Reversal Blade to confirm his question as the three landed on the zeppelin before the Fusion Dragon vanished.
"Master Wu! Are we too late?" Kai asked as he, Skylor and Nya rushed over to their weakened Master.
"Kai? Nya?" Master Wu muttered weakly.
"Yes." Kai said as he, Nya and Skylor rushed up to him. "And we're gonna save you."
"Actually, you're not!" Krux said as he stepped in front of Wu.
"What? You promised if we retrieve the Time Blade we could help him." Kai said with a look.
"Yeah, about that. We lied." Acronix revealed as he walked up to his brother with an evil smirk, which Krux shared while Ray and Maya looked in shock.
"Did you really think we would allow Wu to remain?" Krux questioned evilly. "After all the trouble he's caused us over the years?"
"You monsters!" Kai shouted as he charged at them and lunged the Reversal Blade forward, which Krux blocked with the Slow-Mo blade.
Acronix walked forward as he faced Nya and Skylor with a smirk as Machia jumped forward with a hiss, which Nya fought Machia while Skylor started fighting Acronix while doing her best to avoid each strike from the two Time Blades.
Krux pushed Kai back. "The Blade is mine, boy." He said.
"Yeah? Well, here it comes." Kai said with a glare. "NINJA, GO!" He did Spinjitzu towards Krux.
"Spinjitzu?" Krux questioned before he used his Time Blade to whack Kai back, getting him out of his Spinjitzu as Kai fell down. "A fool's art!" He called as he charged forward at Kai with a yell.
Kai eyed the Reversal Blade as he had an idea. "Reversal." He said before he fired at Krux, which caused Time to reverse all around them before Kai was brought back before Krux whacked him.
"Spinjitzu? A fool's art." Krux said as he tried to whack Kai, but the Fire Ninja avoided it.
"Not this time!" Kai called before he whacked Krux from behind, knocking him down as Krux gave him a glare.
"Slow down, kid." Krux quipped before he then fired the Slow-Mo Blade at Kai, but the Fire Ninja avoided it as he hit Machia instead when she tried to lunge at Nya, but was now slowed down in the time bubble.
"OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh, nnnnnnnnooooooo!" Machia yelled in slow motion before Nya kicked her away as she flipped around before crashing into Krux, knocking them both down.
"I'm coming, Master!" Kai said as he rushed up to Wu before Acronix kicked Skylor away as he rushed towards Kai with the Forward Blade raised.
"Kai, look out!" Skylor called out as Kai didn't have time to react as Ray quickly pushed his son aside and and blocked the Forward Blade with his arm, which sent a surge of energy into Ray before he was knocked back, which Maya quickly caught her husband.
"Dad? Father!" Kai called in worry, but he got distracted before Acronix whacked Kai down as the heroes regrouped while facing the Hands of Time.
"I'm fine." Ray said as Maya helped him up. "He just caught me off guard." He assured while Kai glared at the Hands of Time.
"Get them!" Kai shouted as they charged at them.
"Stop!" Acronix yelled as he used the Pause Blade and froze them, including Wu, in time.
"Excellent work, brother." Krux said with a smirk as he walked up to Kai and took the Reversal Blade.
"Four completes the set." Acronix said as he and his brother looked at all four Time Blades, happy to reunite with all four their lost powers. "So now it's time to return to the Swamp."
"What about them?" Krux asked, gesturing to the frozen Ninja.
"Let's drop them off here." Acronix suggested with a smirk as he turned to Machia. "Supreme Commander Machia, make it so." He ordered.
"As you command." Machia nodded as she got onto the controls with an evil laugh and rode the zeppelin back to the swamp while leaving the frozen ninja in mid air over the Boiling Sea.
Soon, the pause effect wore off as they all started falling from the sky and straight towards the Boiling Sea. "Kai! Nya! Quick! The Fusion Dragon! Now!" Skylor called out to them.
"R-Right!" Kai nodded as he tossed the Dragon Blade up as he and Nya shot their powers at it, summoning the Fusion Dragon again as it flew down with a roar and caught the two Masters of Fire and Water before they flew down and caught the others. "Gotcha!" He called as they flew up. "It's not too late to save Master Wu. but we still need the Reversal Blade." He said as they flew after the Hands of Time as fast as they could.
Back at the swamp. The other Ninja are still fighting off the Vermillion Warriors as they kept them away from the Iron Doom as best they could. "These stupid Vermillion just won't stop!" Morro shouted.
"Anytime, guys! We can't hold them off much longer!" Demir called out as he used his powers to take apart some armor.
Borg was still trying to remember the code. "It's a 1300-digit sequence. Something important…"
Thirteen hundred?" Zane asked before he realized it. "That's the exact number of digits in the first line of code for…"
"Programming a Nindroid." Samurai X finished, thinking the exact same thing as Zane then went to work on typing in the code.
The Ninja kept fighting more and more Vermillion warriors as Cole avoided the collision of two big ones. "Seriously, guys." Cole said as the others regrouped.
"3, 7, 9, 2, 5, 4, 6, 8, 9, 2, 1, 5, 6, 3." Zane and the Samurai X both said at the same time as Zane type in the code while the others avoided the Vermillion Warriors.
"Guys!" Lydie shouted in frustration.
"Just a few hundred more digits." Zane said as he started speeding up the coding.
"What?! Seriously!? More?!" Rose called as she and Demir stood side to side.
"I told you these snakes kept holding us back for Borg to sabotage it during assembly!" Demir called as he smacked another Warrior away.
"Could this get any harder?" Jay questioned in frustration.
"Oh, you didn't just ask that, did you?" Cole questioned Jay as he hit another Vermillion away. "You just totally jinxed us."
"Come on. That's not how life works." Jay scoffed before they looked up and saw the zeppelin come down from the ceiling.
"You were saying, Lightning boy?" Morro asked, giving Jay a look.
"Not saying another word." Jay said with a sheepish look as the Hands of Time saw the fighting going on.
"What is that Ninja doing with Borg?" Krux questioned after seeing Zane at the Apparatus.
"I think they're trying to shut down the Iron Doom before it ever becomes operational." Acronix summarized.
"We'll take care of them." Krux assured. "Machia, proceed as planned." He said as Machia nodded as they got close to the three at the Apparatus with all four Time Blades out.
"Vermillion. To the Iron Doom." Machia ordered through the hive mind. "It's time to commence Operation Return and Repeat." She ordered as the Vermillion Warriors stopped attacking the Ninja and walked towards the Iron Doom, much to the Ninja's confusion.
"Huh? Why'd they stop fighting?" Lloyd asked in confusion,
"This cannot be good." Rose said in confusion and concern.
"What's going on?" Cole questioned as the Ninja regrouped as they gave concern expressions.
"And so Operation Return and Repeat begins. "Raggmunk said to Blunck.
"Huh, good name, too." Blunck commented as the two walked up to the Iron Doom as the Vermillion Warriors entered while some of the snakes slithered around inside the armored mech as it began to move.
"8, 4, 7, 2, 1 and…" Zane was about to finish the last digit before Krux blasted him, Samurai X, and Borg with the Pause Blade, freezing them in time.
"Zero." Acronix said with an evil smirk. "As in zero chance of success." He said as he and his brother walked on both sides of the Apparatus and then placed each Time Blades in their slots, which sent temporal energy into it as it began to power up and spun around. "Time is wasted. Come brother." He said as he swung Zane, Samurai X, and Borg away as they fell down and got out of their pause effect.
"No!" Jay shouted as the other turned to him. "Yeah, I talked. Come on!" He called as they did Airjitzu.
"NINJA, GO!" They called out as they caught Zane, Borg, and Samurai X.
On the Iron Doom, the Hands of Time and Machia entered the cockpit as the Ninja could only watch helplessly as they saw the Iron Doom powering up as the Apparatus shot a temporal beam into the sky, creating a time portal above them.
"Just a few more moments, brother." Krux said with a smirk.
"Soon, Ninjago will be ours." Acronix said with an evil smirk. "Nothing can stop us now." He said as Krux looked up.
"Look!" Krux yelled as they looked up and saw the Fusion Dragon flying over them and heading their way. "Why did you have to say that!?" He questioned his brother as the Fusion Dragon drew closer to them.
"They're too far!" Kai shouted in worry. "The dragon can't get enough speed!"
"We're too heavy!" Skylor called out. "Even a two headed dragon can't carry this much weight!"
"Good luck, kids." Maya said as she and Ray stood up while she supported her husband.
"Mom. What are you doing?" Nya asked in worry.
"Giving you both the speed you need." Maya said as she jumped off with Ray, which shocked them as they flew into the dome as they saw Maya skillfully landed on a platform while carrying Ray.
"Okay, our mom? Totally awesome." Kai said with an impressive smile.
"Definitely awesome. And your father too as well. Awesome parents you two." Skylor commented with a smile.
"I just hope we see her again." Nya said with a frown as they all gave a yell and flew towards the Iron Doom.
"Control time…" Krux started with a smirk.
"Control everything." Acronix finished their motto as the Iron Doom glowed and flew straight into the Time Vortex, which the Fusion Dragon flew after as Kai, Nya, Wu, and Skylor entered the portal as well, chasing after the Hands of Time just as the Time Vortex vanished.
"Children." Maya said solemnly as she reached her hand out to where the portal was as she and Ray watched.
"Nya." Jay muttered sadly.
"Kai." Cole muttered.
"Uncle." Lloyd muttered.
"Father." Morro muttered.
"Skylor." Rose said sadly.
"Where did they go?" Demir asked in complete stun.
"More like, when did they go?" Lydie corrected as they all stood in the ruins of the dome as the entire group looked up at where the Time Vortex was as they wondered when in time their friends will end up in.
