In Ninjago's City Police Apartment, the police officers gathered around in their stations when they heard the Ninja l escape while the commissioner paced around the room. "Find me those Ninja! They can't just break out of Kryptarium and completely disappear! I want witnesses, I want locations!" He ordered as he walked around. "These fugitives are ninja, people! They could be right under our noses for all we know!"
The commissioner was not far off from sitting on a desk behind him was a cleverly disguised Nya, as an officer in uniform. "All right, I'm in their secured network," she whispered into her commlink. "But I still need that password."
At the other side of the room was Jay, also disguised as an officer, who was going through some notes of passwords. "I'm looking for it now, but I don't get it. Why do we have to hack into their system when we already have a Nindroid?" he asked in confusion.
"Because Nindroids don't know everything," Nya whispered as she looked around. "And if Soto says the map to the only thing that can stop Nadakhan is on his ship, we need to find it." She paused when the commissioner walked past her. "And find it fast."
"Hey, real fast, what's the password again?" Jay asked one of the commissioner's detectives, who was eating a donut, in a deep voice.
"The password is 'password'," the detective answered.
"Got this?" Jay asked Nya in a whisper tone as she put in the password.
"That worked," Nya whispered as she searched through the records. "Now searching city records for the last known whereabouts of his ship, Misfortune's Keep. Speaking of which…. Hey Kai, how's Destiny's Bounty holding up?" She asked.
"At the impound just outside of Ninjago City, Demir, Kai, and Zane were outside the impound gates where they saw the Destiny's Bounty. "We got our eyes on it now, sis. We sure can use it." Kai answered as he was about to touch the gate, but then he got shocked by it. "Ow! Careful guys. It's electrified." He warned.
"Really, I wouldn't have guessed," Demir commented, gesturing to the many warning signs.
"I believe all of the signs at the repo yard made that abundantly clear." Zane stated.
"It was sarcastic, Zane." Demir said with a brow. "But seriously, how are we gonna get across?"
"Perhaps there's another suitable solution past this obstacle," Zane said with a smirk, "Airjitzu?" He suggested while he and Demir perform Airjitzu over the fence.
"You two don't have to sound so cocky." Kai said with a look as he Airjitzu'd himself and Demir over as they rushed up to the Bounty.
Soon, the impound owner and his hound dog came up from the fence as his dog, "Looks like we got a Trio of Trespassers," The Impounder said while holding a gun as his dog growled and went forward. "Go get them, Sir Chomps-Alot." He ordered.
Back in NCPD, Nya looked through the records before she found what they needed. "Okay, I've located Nadakhan's ship," she said through the comms.
In the sky, Lloyd, Cole, Rose, Lydie, and Morro were flying in their Energy Dragons. "It was last seen in Gypsy Cove, three clicks north of Cannon Beach." Nya informed them through the comms.
"Got it, thanks Delara," Morro joked before pretending to catch what he said, "Oop, I mean Nya," He said as the others shared a small laugh.
"Not funny." Nya said with a hint of annoyance. "Let's see how you like it when you look like our enemy's sweetheart." She retorted.
"Gypsy Cove is just ahead," Lydie said to her. "We'll let you know what we see when we get there." She said as they flew off.
Back at the Impound, Demir was keeping watch while Kai and Zane used their powers on the chains, "Could ya be a little louder? I don't think the owner heard ya yet!" He said sarcastically.
"Hey, these chains are thick." Kai retorted. "It could take us a while even with our powers."
"You could keep interrupting us or perhaps start making yourself useful." Zane said with a look as he and Kai went back to cutting the chains while Demir sighed.
The owner and Sir Chomps-Alot soon approached with the dog charging straight towards Demir, "Oh no, you don't," He Said as he armored up just as the dog took a bite of his metal leg and then immediately yelped and started whimpering in pain, "Oh, what's the matter? Don't like iron in your diet?" He mocked before the owner went up in front of him.
"Trespasser! Don't move!" The impounder yelled as he fired his gun at Demir, which bounced off his armor plating and right back into his gun, causing it to explode, "Ahh?!" He screamed in shock.
"Dude, shooting a guy made of metal, really." Demir said as the impounder went up to him and punched him in the face, which caused him to yell in pain as he clutched his hand as Demir lifted him up. "Okay, you see. If the bullets don't work, right? Why the punching?" He questioned.
"What's going on back there?" Kai questioned from behind Demir.
"Nothing, Kai. Just dealing with the Impounder. Get our ship free." Demir said as the impounder looked at him nervously. "It's okay, you were only doing your job. But we're taking our ship back, got it?"
"Y-Yeah, course. It's all yours." The Impounder said with a nervous smile.
"Great. And for a little insurance." Demir said before he punched the impounder hard, knocking him out cold as he gently placed him down on his chair. "Just to make sure we don't get caught so quickly. And you keep an eye on him," He told the dog who laid down next to his owner. "Good boy." He said with a smirk as he walked off to the others as he went into his comm link. "Nya, just wanted to let you know that we will have the Bounty back soon. Just a couple of chains and we're good to go."
"Good. Be sure to get out of there as fast as you can." Nya said to her comm link while making sure she wasn't spotted.
"Get out of here? But we just got here?" Cole asked in confusion through the communicator, which made Nya exhale.
"Not you, Cole," Nya corrected. "Did you find Nadakhan's ship?"
"Not exactly." Lloyd said as he and his group walked into the area where Misfortune's Keep used to be as they saw supplies and machinery around. "But there is evidence of it."
"Strange though," Rose said, holding up a piece of machinery, "Why would pirates need technology?" She wondered.
"Maybe it's already sailed off to sea." Morro theorized.
Back at NCPD, Nya is searching the ocean through the computers. "I'm getting no readings of it anywhere. You'd think a big pirate ship would at least get someone's attention," She said while finding no trace of Nadakhan's ship anywhere on the radar.
"If Nadakhan's ship's not here, and it's not out there, where is it?" Lydie asked in wonder.
"Good question," Nyasaid before the commissioner came up to her.
"What's a good question?" the commissioner questioned with a brow.
"Uh, question is, what's time's lunch?" Nya asked in a deep voice with her hands crossed. "All this searching is making me hungry."
"You're right. We can't think on an empty stomach," The commissioner said in agreement, feeling hungry himself as he walked off. "We'll resume after lunch."
Somewhere in the sky, Misfortune's Keep, now converted into an airship that is like an aerial VTOL, flew across the sky, wobbling while the Clancee puked over the railings while the rest of the crew moved some supplies around as Flintlocke swung over the Clancee. "You always were seasick, Clancee, but I never pegged you to be airsick." Flintlocke said in amusement as Clancee did his best to keep his lunch down. "Trim the sails! Tighten the halyard!" he called out to the rest of the crew as he was lifted up by the rope to the top deck as Monkey Wretch unraveled the sails as Clancee continued to puke.
Flintlocke then went up to Nadakhan's quarters as he saw a map of Ninjago on his wall, but the map looked different like some of the landmarks were missing as Nadakhan came to the door. "What is it?" he questioned his first mate.
"Uh, the crew and I have kept our mouths shut, but you still haven't told us about your plan," Flintlocke said to him.
"You need to trust your captain," Nadakhan told him firmly. "Your job is to control the ship, which you seem to be failing at." He gestured to the ship wobbling around. "My job is to catch the Ninja so that the Sword of Souls is powerful enough to do our bidding." With these words, he leaned close almost threateningly to Flintlocke, who moved back from that.
"I'm sorry, captain," Flintlocke apologized as he got up. "We'll have this ship steady in no time." He lowered his goggles and went up to the steering wheel. "I said steady the ship!"
Nadakhan sighed as he took out his pocket watch and looked at Dalara's picture. "You never doubted me, Dalara," he whispered before Clancee walked up to him. "Any news?"
"S-Still no sign of the Ninja, captain," Clancee informed. "I-It's like they d-d-disappeared off the map."
"Well then, maybe I'll see what progress the so-called police are making in their search," Nadakhan suggested as he then poofed away, leaving his magic dust behind.
Clancee coughed from the residual dust. "I really wish he'd warn us when he did that…" he sighed.
An alarm then blared when they all looked ahead to see they were flying straight for a mountain, the Constrictai . "Fly over the mountain, not into it!" Flintlocke yelled as he turned the rudder, but then Monkey Wrench started chattering. "What do you mean the rudder can only turn left or right?! What kind of airship can't go up or down!?" he questioned angrily as they got closer to the mountain as they all screamed as they were about to crash.
Back in Ninjago City, the Officers were buying lunch but when Nya moved to pay, Jay stopped her, "Uh please, let me take care of that. A gentleman… I mean, uh, a superior always pays." He said as he searched his pockets, but found no money much to his sheepish reaction. "Whoops. Ha-ha-ha, wrong pants."
Nya sighed as she brought out her own money. "Here. This should cover the both of us," she said in a deep voice as she took the trays as they walked off. What they did not know is that Nadakhan was watching them from behind a silver statue of the building as he kept out of sight.
Nya and Jay sat on benches and enjoyed their lunch as Nadkhan eyed Nya as she took off her disguise, waving her hair around, which surprised Nadakhan. "It really is you, Dalara," he muttered quietly.
Jay gave a small chuckle. "If I had a dime for every time I was broke. Heh," he remarked, to which Nya sighed with a small amused smile. "What did I say?"
"I expect it from others, but not you," Nya said to him.
"What?" Jay asked in confusion. "Can't I try and buy lunch for a friend?"
"But I know you don't just see me as a friend." Nya said with a frown. "All week you've made it pretty obvious you're still harboring some feelings. I've tried to ignore it, but…"
"It's 'cause I'm from a junkyard, isn't it?" Jay questioned while Nadakhan listened to their conversation.
"No, it's just, just…" Nya said as she sighed. "Jay, I know that you still have feelings for me, and it took the others to tell me how I acted towards you after that love triangle show before we were framed." She said with a frown. "And I feel terrible for hurting you." She said as she placed a hand on Jay's shoulder, which made him smile a bit. "But, you have to know that after the Perfect Match thing, and the break up, it just, we need the space. And to heal that wound since then." She said as she gave a sigh. "Look, I'm already a girl ninja. But my role on the team shouldn't be defined by who I'm seeing, but who I'm fighting." She said,
Jay gave a sigh. "I get it. A real friend wouldn't put you in that position." He said in understanding. "I'm sorry, Nya."
"I didn't say I don't want to be in a relationship," Nya said with a sympathetic smile, "It will take some time to get back to where we were before the break-up, but I do want you to have a chance." She assured him. "And don't worry about paying me back, can't a friend buy lunch for a friend?" She added as she walked up to him with her arms out. "Hug?"
"How about a high five?" Jay asked as he held up his hand, which was holding a burger, but when Nya fistbumped him, he dropped his burger as it landed on his shirt, getting some ketchup on it as they yelped. "Look at that. Heh. I guess lunch is on me." He said with a slight chuckle. "Excuse me while I find a place to clean this off." He said as he walked off as Nadakhan eyed Jay.
"So she has another suitor," Nadakhan muttered to himself while getting an idea of how to deal with him.
"You're such a dork, Jay," he scolded himself with a sigh. "You see one glimpse into the future of you and Nya together, and expect everything to fall into line. I wish I never saw my future." Suddenly, he was startled when a puff of smoke happened next to him before he saw Nadakhan hovering above him.
"You want the girl? I can make this happen," Nadakhan told Jay with a grin.
"Na-Nadakan?!" Jay questioned fearfully before he quickly realized something. "Oh no, we weren't supposed to be alone!"
"Why, when I can offer your heart's desire?" Nadakhan asked as he floated closer to Jay.
"Because people disappear when you're around," Jay retorted. "Nya's right over there. I can scream, you know."
"Well, I guess she'll never be yours," Nadakhan said with a smirk as he began to fly away, and Jay realized what he said.
"Wait. I thought one of the rules was that I couldn't wish for love," Jay pointed out while Nadakhan smirked.
"True," he admitted as he then poofed next to Jay. "But there are other ways to get what you want. Then again, I guess a poor colt from a junkyard wouldn't understand."
"Well… I guess one little wish wouldn't hurt," Jay sheepishly admitted with interest as he let his temptation take hold. "But no one else would find out, right? This stays between you and me?"
"Of course. Cross my heart," Nadakhan innocently replied.
Jay sighed after taking a breath. "Okay… Then I wish… I wish I wasn't born in a junkyard. I wish I wasn't poor anymore and could give Nya everything she wants!"
"Your wish is yours to keep," Nadakhan told him and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Suddenly, after the Djinn's disappearance, the postman were then seen riding towards Jay. "Oh, there you are." The postman said as Jay turned to him startled. "I've been looking all over Ninjago for you. Don't worry, I won't report you to the authorities. Just delivering the mail" He assured him as he pulled out a letter before handing it to him.
Jay accepted the mail as he started reading it. "'I am sorry to inform you, but your father has passed'," He read as his eyes widened with horror before he continued. "'You have inherited his estate and lots and lots and lots of money.'" He dropped the letter as his whole body trembled with sadness and despair.
"Why are you upset?" The Postman asked with a smile. "You're rich now." Jay then ran off before he summoned his Dragon and took off into the sky.
Jay flew as fast as he could across Ninjago until he made it to his parents' junkyard as he got off of his dragon. "No. Dad!" he cried out as he rushed inside. "Mom? Dad? Mom!" he yelled as he entered his parents' trailer where he saw his mother.
"Oh, what is it, son?" Edna asked with a smile. "What's all the fuss?"
"Where's Dad?! Is he okay?!" Jay asked her with concern.
Edna gave a frown. "Oh, I'm sorry, Jay, he's no longer here," she apologized, which caused Jay to whimper as if he was about to cry.
"Yeah, I'm back," Ed's voice called as Jay turned and saw him coming in. "Picked up a few diddilybops. Heh. Jay, what a welcome sight."
With great relief, Jay caught him in a hug, which surprised him. "I thought I lost you! I got this letter that said my father passed away and I inherited lots of money. I would never wish for this, Dad. I didn't want it to be true." He said quickly.
Ed and Edna looked at each other before they nodded and Edna walked up to them. "Well, Jay, there has been something we've been meaning to tell you," she said as Jay looked confused.
Ed scratched his head with a sigh. "Ah. But, uh… Oh, gee-willickers, there was just no easy way to say it. Heh. You see, son, you're, uh…" he trailed off for a bit. "You're adopted." Those words echoed in Jay's head as he gasped in shock, trying to process what he learned.
"Oh, you were left at our doorstep when you were just a foal," Edna continued while his 'parents' walked up beside him. "Along with this address and key." She gave said objects to Jay and gave him a side hug. "Oh, you were just so gosh darn cute."
"And we gladly raised you as our own ever since," Ed added while placing a hand on Jay's shoulder as Jay looked at the key and address while they all huddled together. "Yeah. We're sorry, son. I-I hope this doesn't change anything."
A bit later, somewhere in the forest close to Ninjago City, Jay was out of his disguise and in his casual wear as he found the address to his father's house. He was standing in front of the gates while there was a mansion on top of a hill past them. He inserted the key before he got another look at the place. "Whoa! Is this where my birth father lived?" he asked as he opened the gates and went into the mansion. "Whoa!" The mansion was much bigger on the inside, like Gaia's, as he then saw the screen door to the living room, noticed a Fritz Donnegan statue right next to him. "Wow!"
"Fear isn't a word where I come from!" a recording of Fritz Donegann played from the statue itself.
"Would you look at that?" Jay said to himself with a slight chuckle. "My father was a fan of Fritz Donnegan too. Heh. Cool." He then walked over to a shelf with a few movie trophies sitting on it. "Wow. He had so many trophies." He looked at each one of them before grabbing one of the trophies and it was pulled forward like a lever. A picture of Fritz Donnegan shifted to the left, revealing a hidden room to him.
Jay entered the room as he searched and saw many costumes inside, but then he saw a fashion mirror with pictures of Fritz Donneganon it. It was then Jay realized something about his father. "My father wasn't just a fan of Fritz Donnegan. He was Fritz Donnegan!" He looked at the many pictures of his father along with several pictures of a blonde woman dressed in blue and black clothing with electrictic markings. "Wait, is that, my birth mother?" He asked in complete shock as he looked at the woman in the pictures. "Huh, she got a thing for lightning too. Guess that means I got my powers from her." He commented before he turned and saw his second old gi on display with photos of himself before he then saw a book next to it and picked it up.
"'Cliff Gordon's Handbook to Wooing Women'?" Jay read. "That must be his real name. "Cliff Gordon. That means my real name is Jay Gordon? Ha!" He cheered as he opened the book. Cracker!" He then noticed a book next to his Ninja Gi before walking up to it. "'Chapter One: Women love mystery. When talking to them, less is more'-" He was cut off when Nadakhan poofed behind him as he screamed and dropped the book.
"Are you ready for your second wish? Hmm," Nadakhan said with a smirk as Jay got a blaster, but when he pulled the trigger, a flag with the word 'ZAP!' popped out, disappointing Jay and barely amusing Nadakhan. "Adorable."
"What did you do? Did you change the past?" Jay questioned Nadakhan with a look.
"Mm. I wish." Nadakhan said as he floated around. "I merely revealed a truth about your life that you were unaware of." He explained.
"Then I don't wanna make another wish," Jay told him as he stood up.
"Everyone wants a second wish," Nadakhan told him when floated up next to him. "A second chance to make things right."
"No." Jay denied as he turned away from him.
"Don't resist me. Tell me what you want," Nadakhan insisted. "More power? More prestige? Maybe a ray gun that works?" he joked while pointing at the ray gun on the floor.
"No, I don't want anything," Jay said firmly. "I just wish I wasn't alone with you." Nadakhan simply responded with a snap of his fingers before he crossed his arms before the doorbell rang, which made Jay realize what he said. "Dang it! Ah. I did it again!" He called, having used his second wish.
"Hello? Jay? Are you here?" Nya's voice called from outside as Nadakhan frowned as he realized his plan to capture Jay did not work as he flew next to him.
"Don't forget, you have a third wish," the Djinn reminded him as he poofed away, making Jay scream. He sighed in relief before he exited the secret room, closing it before he saw Nya at the doorway.
"Hello?" Nya asked when she saw Jay.
"Nya, you're here," Jay said in surprise. "How did you get here?"
"After you split, I got worried," Nya said with a relieved smile. "I called your dad who said you'd be here. Speaking of which, why are you here?" she asked while looking at the mansion.
"Uh… Uh…" Jay said, trying to come up with an explanation before he remembered what the book said. 'Women love mystery. When talking to them, less is more.' He then smirked as he chuckled.
"Fear isn't a word where I come from," the Fritz Donnegan statue played, which got Nya's attention.
"Fritz Donnegan? Is this your stuff?" Nya asked in surprise.
"If you have a secret hideout, why can't I?" Jay asked with a smirk, lying so that she did not know the truth while using Nya's old Samurai X cave as an excuse.
"Wow, I… I never would have guessed," Nya mentioned in amazement as she looked around the place. "Come on. The team needs us. Don't worry, this place will be our little secret." She gave a slight wink before walking out as Jay looked at the statue.
"Fear isn't a word where I come from." The Statue repeated.
"Thanks, Dad. I owe you one," Jay thanked his birth father before following Nya out of the mansion.
Where Misfortune's Keep at, the tip of the ship was stuck on the edge of the mountain as Clancee was trying to get it unstuck. Monkey Wretch screeched at him like he was angry at them. "I ain't trying to do your job. Uh, just trying to help." He said as Monkey Wrench moved around and threw some brown stuff on Clancee's head. "Ooh! Hey, that better be mud!" He warned in his stutter before Nadakhan appeared behind them as Flintlocke walked up to him.
"So, did you snare a Ninja?" Flintlocke asked.
"Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned," Nadakhan answered.
"If I can speak freely, you ain't getting them alone, because they ain't got nothing to do but look out for each other," Flintlocke said to his captain.
"I don't follow," Nadakhan said in confusion.
"Put us to work, captain," Flintlocke said with a smirk. "Then when they're busy looking out for their own tails, they're all yours for the taking."
Nadakhan gave a smile. "Hmm. There's a reason I made you my first mate." He said to Flintlocke. "Let's welcome back the rest of my old crew and get this bird in the sky." He declared.
After Kai, Demir, and Zane freed the Bounty, the Ninja were high above the sky and out of sight from anyone as they were at the bridge. "I'm so tired of sneaking around and hiding." Kai complained.
"Easy, Kai. We're all itching to get back into action." Lloyd said to him.
"But so far two of our own have gone missing, and none of us have yet to lay an eye on him." Lydie said, referring to Nadakhan as Jay gave an uncertain look.
"And we were lucky enough to even get the Bounty back." Morro said to them. "But the second anyone sees a flying ship passing by, the authorities will be on us like flies on a carcass."
"If only we knew someone who had faced him and could tell us what to expect." Zane said.
"I wish Wu were here to guide u-" Lloyd tried to say but Jay spoke up.
"No! Don't say that word!" Jay shouted as the others looked at him in confusion. "I mean… Why wish when we have everything we need right here, right? Haha. Go, ninja, go?" He asked before the alarms on the Bounty went off.
"What's happening?" Rose asked in worry.
"That's the crime alert." Nya said as she typed onto the console. "Look." She said as she pointed to the monitor as they all watched the news, which showed Misfortune's Keep flying through Ninjago City.
"I don't know why this is news anymore, but Ninjago City's once again under attack by pirates! Or dare I say, sky pirates!" The newsman exclaimed as the sky pirates attacked the city while the officers tried to fight back.
"We have to help them!" Lydie exclaimed.
"But we're fugitives," Zane reminded them.
"Doesn't matter. We protect the innocent," Lloyd declared.
"And Soto said the map is on that ship," Nya said as she pointed to Misfortune's Keep on the screen. "If we want to stop Nadakhan, we need it."
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Morro asked with a smirk. "I thought we were all itching to get back into action."
In Ninjago City, the commissioner and his officers were at an intersection as they looked up at Misfortune's Keep. "Pull your flying vehicle over now!" he yelled through the megaphone.
Misfortune's Keep kept flying as the crew started firing their cannons around the city and threw explosive barrels down on a building, causing them to explode as Clancee were next to Nadakhan while Clancee chuckled. "I-It's been too long, captain," Clancee said.
"It has, hasn't it, Clancee?" Nadakhan asked with a nostalgic smile as Flintlocke and Dogshank jumped over to cause some havoc as Monkey Wrench landed on the lower cannons below the ship.
In an office building, a group of office workers were in their meeting room. "So they finally fixed our offices," The head woman said with a smile, glad that their offices were fixed after Soto wrecked them a few years ago before Misfortune's Keep came up into the window view as they all screamed. "Oh, great, not again!" she cried as they ran out before Monkey Wretch fired the cannon.
The Destiny's Bounty came into view behind Misfortune's Keep as the Ninja got on the edge. "For our own safety, travel in pairs." Lloyd said first.
"Lloyd's right. We need to protect the people, but also get that map." Lydie instructed.
"I forgot, what does the map look like?" Cole asked.
"It's on a lantern. Look for a lantern." Zane reminded him as they all put on their hoods.
"Rose and I can stay on board the Bounty and give those pirates some air troubles." Demir said while smashing his fists.
"Good. But make sure to keep the damage to minimum, we're trying to save the city, not wreck it." Lydie said as the two Ninja nodded as the rest got off the Bounty.
"NINJA, GO!" The Ninja all shouted as they got into action.
The Garma-Twins, Cole and Morro jumped down in front of the Commissioner and the other police force, "Protect the people, Commissioner. We'll take care of the menage." Lydie instructed as the four Ninja rushed off.
"Why didn't you arrest them?" The Commissioner questioned his two detectives.
"It sounded like they were trying to help." Simon said to him.
"You might be soft. But I'm not," the commissioner said as he took his taser and climbed over a police car, did a flip, and ran after the heroes.
"Whoa, who knew the commish was so nimble?" Tommy asked in surprise.
With Nya and Zane, they saw Misfortune's anchor dragging down the street while wrecking everything in its path with Flintlocke on the chain. "That is not cool!" Zane before he took out two shurikens. "But this is! Ice!" Harnessing some of his powers through the shurikens, Zane threw them, leaving a trail of ice behind.
Flintlocke saw the shurikens before he used his gun to shoot them out. "Now it's my turn," he said as he took aim at Zane, but Nya used her powers to shoot a water stream at Flintlocke, who lowered himself as he dodged the water before he took aim again. But then, Nya removed her hood to show her face, and Flintlocke was shocked that Nya looked just like Dalara as he removed his goggles to make sure he wasn't seeing things. "Well, I'll be dipped," He muttered to himself in shock.
On the Bounty, Demir was arming the cannons while Rose was on the bridge steering the ship. "Rose, get me close! I need a clear shot!" Demir called out.
"I'm trying!" Rose said as she steer the ship a bit closer. "Fire!"
"Firing!" Demir called as he fired some fireballs, which hit Misfortune's Keep a bit as some pirates were knocked off as the ship shook a bit. "Just grazed it!"
"Remember, we need the map! So don't destroy it! Just slow it down and stop it!" Rose called out as she steered the Bounty a bit to avoid some buildings.
"I'll do that while you focus on keeping us from-" Demir was cut off when one of the cannons fired at the bounty. "Whoa! Incoming!" He shouted as some cannons hit the Bounty, causing a few dents on it and tilting it a bit.
"Oh, I really hate pirates!" Rose exclaimed as the Bounty and Misfortune's Keep continued their fray, like how they did 200 years ago.
With Cole, the Garma-Twins, and Morro, Cole and Morro rushed up to the edge of the building before he avoided an anchor as he looked up and saw Dogshank hanging by one. "Boy, you're really ugly." Cole commented.
"I'm not a boy! I'm a lady!" Dogshank told him before she swung over and flattened both as the two ghosts groaned before Dogshank grabbed them and tossed them aside with a yell.
The Garma-Twins were fighting Doubloon, who was surprisingly keeping up with his moves before he did Spinjitzu, which shocked the Ninja as they avoided his attack. "This guy know Spinjitzu?!" Lydie said in shock.
"Well, let's see if he knows Airjitzu!" Lloyd called as the four did Airjitzu to avoid another Airjitzu attack from Doubloon as they landed on a billboard. "Forget them! We need to get that lantern!" He reminded them.
"Leave it to me and Cole, their cannons don't affect us ghosts!" Morro told Lloyd.
"Go! We'll handle the Lady and Two-face!" Lydie said as she and Lloyd fought the two pirates while Cole and Morro Airjitzu up to the Pirate ship.
On another street, Kai and Jay ran down the street following the ship before an explosive barrel fell and rolled toward them. "Look out!" Jay called as he rolled back while Kai kept on, but then the barrel exploded as the two were blown back and hit the floor. "I'm okay."
"I'm going for the lantern!" Kai said as he rushed ahead.
"Wait! We're supposed to stay together!" Jay shouted as he was about to follow, but Clancee blocked him.
Kai saw the ship underneath him as he quickly climbed onto the rooftops to get closer. Dodging a cannonball, but before he could continue on, Nadakhan grabbed him and spun around as he disappeared before Jay caught up too late.
"No! Kai!" Jay yelled in horror.
Kai and Nadakhan then appeared on a remote beach, "Where are we?!" Kai demanded the Djinn. "What did you do?!"
"I thought a little privacy might be in order." Nadakhan said with a smirk as he circled around Kai. "You were in such a rush. For what? Let me help you. You can wish for it." He said with a smirk.
"The only thing I wish is for you to take me back!" Kai shouted as golden sparks appeared around him.
"Your wish is Yours to keep," Nadakhan said as he teleported the two of them away.
When Kai's vision returned, he saw that he was in an old looking town.
"This isn't Ninjago City. This isn't my wish!" Kai shouted as he glared at the Djinn. "I told you to take me back."
"Ah. But how far back?" Nadakhan asked with a smirk as he gestured around the village. "This is Ninjago City. Dare I say, the humble beginnings of it" He gestured to the skyscrapers being constructed around the small village.
Kai looked around before he saw someone familiar, a man with a growing mustache who was holding some weapons. "Wait a minute, is that…?" He trailed off, having a feeling he knows who that man is.
"You're father? Yes." Nadakhan confirmed with a smirk as Kai's father walked up to a house. "I believe he is around your age now. A little more pathetic. Long before he ever found his fire." He said, implying Kai's father was not the Master of Fire yet, as they watched Kai's father knock on the door as the owner opened up.
"Well, pirate activity is on the rise." Kai's father said with a smile. "Protect yourself with a custom-made weapon-" The door slammed on him as it made him drop all his weapons as he began picking it up as he saw Kai. "A little help?" He asked.
"This isn't what I wished for," Kai groaned.
"Why won't you help your poor father?" Nadakhan suggested as he flew next to him. "He's right there. You could spend some quality time."
"Please, friend, I just need a hand," Kai's father called.
"Dad?" Kai asked as he turned to his father, picking up the weapons, groaning for a moment, knowing he wanted to spend more time with his father, but at this time, his father saw him as a complete stranger as he turned to Nadakhan. "I wish you to take me back. Back to when things were good. Back to before all this mess, when people liked us, and bad guys like you were never a problem! Back to the days when girls were crazy about me!" he called out seriously while Nadakhan kept smirking.
"Your wish is yours to keep," Nadakhan said.
Kai soon found himself back in Ninjago City but it was in broad daylight with the streets empty. "Where is everyone? I said-" Kai was cut off when Nadakhan appeared behind him.
"You said a lot for one wish. Too much to make any sense." Nadakhan said to him before he smirked. "But the girls are crazy for you." He added as he turned to his right as they saw a girl with a crazy look screaming and running towards them.
"Kai!" The woman yelled as Kai flinched as more crazy girls all came, rushing out while surrounding Kai, who gave a horrified expression as Nadakhan watched in amusement.
Back in the real Ninjago City, Misfortune's Keep was still firing cannons at the Destiny's Bounty as each side clashed while Demir tried his best to arm the cannons on their own as the Bounty sustain some damage as some dents and scorch marks were made while Rose is having trouble controlling it.
"Ah! Whatever materials they made, it's stronger than the Bounty's!" Demir called out as he kept firing the cannons, but then Monkey Wrench fired a cannonball directly at him, which his eyes widened. "Oh, boy." He said as he quickly armored up before the cannon hit him as Demir was sent flying as he crashed onto the deck with a yell.
"Demir!" Rose cried out in concern before a couple of more cannonballs hit the port boosters, causing the Bounty to malfunction and losing altitude. "Grr! We're going down!" She cried out as she held the wheel tightly as more cannonballs hit them, giving more damage as the main booster on the back was completely shot. "We lost a booster!" She cried out as she had trouble keeping the Bounty stable, "Captain, I'm sorry, but the Bounty has taken too much damage, I have to land before we crash!"
"Copy. You did your best. Get the Bounty out of the city before you have to abandon ship." Lydie instructed through the comms.
"On it!" Rose said as she steer the Bounty right into the direction that leads outside of town as she rushed up to the deck and picked Demir up. "Come on, Demir! We have to leave!"
"Ugh, and we just got her back too." Demir groaned as the two then flew Airjitzu off the Bounty and landed in a building as they watched the Bounty fly over them as it flew out of the city before it crashed with a thud. "Well, now we know why Misfortune's Keep and the Bounty were rivals during the Stone Wars." He muttered.
"I just hope the others are doing better than we are." Rose said with a frown as they saw Misfortune's Keep still flying through the city.
On Misfortune's Keep, Monkey Wrench cheered when he took down the Bounty, but then Morro and Cole appeared behind him as Cole tapped Monkey Wrench by the shoulder, which made him turn before he was tossed out of the ship. "Bad monkey!" Cole shouted as he dusted his hand. "Now, where is the lantern?" He asked.
"Well, it has to be somewhere. Nadakhan changed the structure. We better start looking" Morro said as they then started looking around for the lantern as they went into the bridge for the lantern until Morro saw something on a glass case with a familiar crystal inside. "The Realm Crystal. Might not be the lantern, but it's just as important."
"Well, that is good. We can prevent them from traveling to other realms." Cole said as Morro was about to grab the Realm Crystal, but they didn't see Flintlocke behind them.
"I ain't afraid to shoot you two in the back," Flintlocke said as he aimed his gun at Morro. When the two ghosts turned around, the bullet went through Morro as it ricocheted around the bridge. The three of them watched as it kept going with wonder while Morro and Cole gave a bored look before the bullet hit the Realm Crystal, shattering it to pieces.
"Ack! You shot the Realm Crystal!" Morro exclaimed.
"Well you made me miss!" Flintlocke retorted before Cole saw the lantern that was behind the Realm Crystal as he quickly took it.
"I got the lantern, Morro!" Cole called as Morro nodded as he used his wind power to blow Flintlocke away as they got out of the bridge as Jay was onboard while Flintlocke fired at them. "We got it!"
"Let's get out of here!" Morro added as the three Ninja rushed off and jumped off Misfortune's Keep.
Meanwhile, Kai continued to run away from the crazy girls as best he could before he saw an open building as he quickly entered it and barricaded it as the girls were busting through as Kai struggled to keep them out as Nadakhan appeared behind him with the Djinn Blade. "This is not what I wished for!" Kai shouted.
"You still have one more wish." Nadakhan reminded him as the crazy girls burst through and grabbed Kai. "All of this can go away if you just say the words. Just wish it away and be done with it all." He said with a smirk as Kai was literally being dragged away.
"Okay! Okay! Make them stop!" Kai shouted, finally breaking. "I wish for it all to go away!" He screamed before he realized what he said as he covered his mouth.
"Your wish is yours to keep." Nadakhan said with a smirk as Kai into a red ball of light as the Fire Ninja gave a scream before he entered the Djinn Blade.
Nadakhan then returned to his ship with his crew waiting for him. "Did you?" Flintlocke started, wanting to know if he caught a Ninja.
"Yes. We got what we came for." Nadakhan answered as he held his blade high. "Let's go." He said as Kai was shown inside the gem of the Djinn Blade as he continued to scream in horror.
"You heard the captain! Air ho!" Flintlocke ordered as the crew then steered Misfortune's Keep out of the city as the Ninja watched.
"We've got the lantern." Cole said to them as he held the lantern. "Return to the meeting point." He said as they rushed off.
"Hi, guys. We're almost there." Lloyd said as he and Lydie ran down an alley before the Commissioner jumped in front of them.
"Freeze!" The Commissioner yelled as he held his taser at the Garma-Twins. "Don't test me, Lloyd and Lydie Garmadon!" He warned as the Garma-Twins raised their hands.
"Commissioner, you know we're only trying to help." Lydie said as she took off her mask. "If you don't believe us, pull the trigger." She said as she and the Commissioner glared at each other before they noticed the Commissioner's hand was shaking, which they took their chance as the Garma-Twins rushed off.
"Oh. Darn ninja." The Commissioner groaned. "I hate it when you're right."
Soon, the Ninja regrouped at the top of a building as the Garma-Twins were the last ones as Cole held up the lantern. "Alright, now let's fire this lantern up and check out the map." Cole said with a smile.
"Kai, a little light?" Lydie asked before she noticed that Kai wasn't with them. "Kai?"
"Where's Kai?" Nya asked as the others looked around for him as Jay gave a nervous chuckle. "Who was supposed to-?" She was cut off when everything shook, which made the Ninja fall to the ground.
"What was that?!" Zane asked.
"I don't know. But I'm afraid to find out." Lloyd said in fear.
"Wait, that rumble came from where the Bounty crashed!" Demir said in shock as he heard some loud noise where the Bounty crashed from as they all rushed to where the Bounty crashed as they jumped from buildings before they stopped when they saw something that made their eyes widened.
"I-I, I don't understand, I-It was right here!" Rose exclaimed in shock. "Where did our ship go?!"
"What in the world is happening to Ninjago?!" Morro exclaimed when they only saw a huge crater where the Bounty supposedly crashed into, but no ship in sight. With the loss of three of their own and their ship, it seemed like the Ninja's whole world was coming apart, literally.
