Chapter Three: One Year Later

Albus, now starting his second year, stood on Platform Nine and three-quarters.

Albus, a little shame-faced, said, "I'm just asking you Dad, if you'll stand a little away from me.

Harry, amused, said, "Second years don't like to be seen with their fathers, do they?"

Albus shifts uncomfortably, "No, it's just that - you're you and I'm…" his voice trailed off.

"What?"

"I'm your Disappointing Son."

"Why?"

"I'm in Slytherin…"

At that moment, James rushed past, pushing his trolley.

"Slytherin, Slytherin, stop with your dithering, time to get onto the train."

Harry frowned at his eldest son, "Unnecessary, James."

James, already on the train, poked his head out of the train window, yelled, "See you at Christmas, Dad!" And vanished from view.

At that moment, Draco Malfoy appeared next to Harry, "I need a favor, Po…Harry"

Harry said nothing but raised an eyebrow.

"These rumors - about Scorpus's parentage - don't seem to go away. If the ministry could…"

"Just let it all blow over." was Harry's reply. And he turned back to talk to Albus only to see him already climbing onto the train, and the train to give a final blast of smoke, and chugg out of the station.
