Emmett's POV
Rosalie was looking so sad, defeated and heartbroken.
I couldn't see her like this!
"You look ugly when you're sad," I went to her and said.
"Shut up!" she said.
"What? I'm just stating the truth," I said.
"I can't believe he has decided to give another chance to their relationship," she said.
Edward and Isabella had decided to reconcile and she was coming here next week.
I had no doubt that he'd get back to his senses pretty soon! She was the one for him, and I didn't have any doubt about it!
"And he's donning such a foolish smile on his face all the time now! He's looking like an idiot!" she said.
"Oh, he does look like an idiot! I agree with you there," I chuckled.
"I feel like I've wasted my life," she sighed.
"Rosalie..." I sighed, "I know what you're going through. But you need to realize that you're much more than this! Even if you don't become the queen of this country, you can still do so much for it. You're smart, intelligent... You just need to put your efforts in the right direction! I know it will be difficult. I know it's really difficult for you to see him being crazy for someone else..."
I'd know that feeling... For years, I have been crazy for her and she was crazy for my brother... Or rather, for the crown!
"Why are you going to that boring conference for God's sake? It's so boring!" I said to Edward.
"Dad is asking me to join him," he said and I rolled my eyes.
"You're going to join us, right?" I asked Rosalie.
"No, I also need to attend the conference. No stupid pool parties for me from now on!" she said.
"Dad is preparing Edward to be the king. What are your excuses for ditching the pool party for the stupid conference?" I chuckled.
"Well... I also need to prepare myself. Who knows! I might be the queen someday," She said and I saw Edward growling.
"Rosalie... Can you please stop?" He asked her.
"What? I'm just kidding!" She said.
Man... I had a feeling she was going to be very disappointed someday...
"You're such a loser, Emmett!" She said.
"You're also a loser," I said.
"I'm not." She said, "I've a lot of goals in my life."
"Like, what? Being a queen someday?" I chuckled, "Can I be blunt and honest?"
"No." She said.
"He's never going to marry you," I laughed, "He doesn't even like you. I can see it on his face when you're around him."
"Shut up!" I said, "Royal marriages are never about likes and dislikes. It's all about who suits the role more. And I don't think he's ever going to find someone better than me!"
She stared at me.
"Why are you saying sensible stuff today?" she raised her eyebrow.
"Oh, I do say sensible stuff if you try to listen to me," I laughed.
She rolled her eyes.
"I don't know... It's tough..." She said, "I feel like all my life I've been preparing to be a queen and I don't know anything else..."
"C'mon... You're amazing at a lot of other things..." I smiled.
Should I tell her that I liked her?
No... I might tell her someday, but not yet!
