"An armored truck was stolen today. The two security guards had just picked up money from their last stop and was heading towards the bank when they spotted a bloody woman in the middle of the road. They stopped to help her when they were attacked from behind by two unknown assailants. When they came to again, the truck and the woman were gone. The truck was later found left on a road nearby but all the money was gone. There was left a picture inside the truck.

Seth stared at the picture of Joker and Harley Quinn with one sentence written on it.

"Come find me."

He and Journey had dressed up as the famous villain couple for Halloween. This was a message to him. This robbery had her scent rubbed all over it.

"The question is if the youth today is being corrupted by medias. Violent video games and movies that make them think someone like Joker is a role model."

"Oh, shut up!" Seth rolled his eyes.

He grabbed his phone and looked into the heist. He knew the town. He had been there for a weekend stay with Journey a few months prior. She had loved it there and mentioned something about knowing someone there. Something she said she would explain at a later time. This was a message to him. She wanted him to travel there and he knew exactly where to go.

He grabbed his jacket, wallet and phone and got out in his car. He started driving while constantly checking the rear view mirror. He could feel Finn was somewhere close but he couldn't see him.

"I know you're there, asshole," he said. "Show yourself."

When he came home from the coffee shop yesterday, he had checked his car and found the tracker. Of course Finn had put a tracker on his car before confronting him at the coffee shop. By now he could piece together that Journey probably had figured out there was a tracker on her motorcycle as well and therefore decided to push it off the cliff. She had to know he was being tracked too. Why else leave that message that seemed like an open invite to both of them?

"Come find me," he said. "I'm on my way, chipmunk."

He drove for three hours until he reached the town. He drove to the little motel where they had stayed. He parked the car far enough away so no one at the motel noticed it. He snuck up to the room they had stayed in. The curtains were closed but he knew there were only two options. Either she was in there or it would be empty.

He grabbed the doorknob and found the door unlocked. He stepped inside the room and closed the door again. Clearly no one had booked it today. It was empty. He walked out in the small bathroom and looked at the old 70's lamp sticking out from the wall.

"If I ever need to hide a secret message for you, I will hide it in a lamp like that. No one ever unscrews the lamp to check inside it."

He remembered her saying that when they were there. He reached up, grabbed the glass lamp, and started screwing it to the left. The lamp came off and the light bulb remained in the wall. He looked inside the lamp and found a note hidden there. He unfolded it and recognized Journey's hand writing.

"At the end of the rainbow, there's a pot of gold."

He took out his phone and googled for rainbows in the town. He found a place called rainbow farm that was further down the road from the motel. It had to be it. He put the lamp back up, took out his lighter, and burned the note in the sink.

He left the motel room and ran back to his car. He continued down the road until he found a sign for the rainbow farm. He couldn't see the farm but there was a private road saying trespassers would be shot. He turned into the private road and followed it until he reached the farm. He parked the car and broke out in a wide smile when he saw the albino kangaroos. They had a great area to live on and it made him happy to see it.

He turned his gaze around the place but no human was there. Everything seemed closed except for a barn further away. He could see the barn door was open. He walked in the direction and stepped inside the barn.

"I knew you would find me," Journey said.

He ran to her and scooped her up in his arms. He swung her around and placed her back down, and then leaned down to kiss her. He was overwhelmed with joy when he felt her lips against his again. The moment was broken when he felt a gun placed in the back of his head.

"Finn," Seth said.
"The one and only," Finn said. "I knew you were lying to me yesterday."
"I tried," Seth shrugged. "You can't blame me for trying."
"Down on your knees," Finn said.

Seth got down on his knees while looking at Journey. She didn't seem scared at all and it made him feel relaxed too. She was one step ahead. He knew that.

"Thank you for leading me straight to her," Finn chuckled.
"Have you considered I did it on purpose?" Seth asked.

Finn didn't answer but Journey started smirking.

"I knew he put a tracker on your car too," Journey said.
"I found it yesterday after I came home," Seth said.
"He's a fucking creep but he is predictable. I found the one on my bike as I was fleeing. I was hoping he would buy I was dead but I wasn't that lucky," Journey said.
"Shut up!" Finn shouted. "Both of you, shut the fuck up!"
"He's big mad," Journey laughed.

Finn couldn't believe what he was hearing. Journey had spent so long trying to escape him and now she was suddenly amused by the whole thing.

"You're coming home with me," Finn said.
"No," Journey said.
"No?" Finn asked.
"I've done a lot of thinking lately. Ever since I met Seth actually but a whole lot more these last few days. I'm tired of running. You're always gonna find me anyway. Unless you're dead, of course," Journey said.
"You're gonna kill me?" Finn asked.
"Yes," Journey answered.

Finn let out a roaring laughter but he quickly stopped when he felt a shotgun in his back.

"One wrong move and I'll blow a hole in you so big that not even the biggest dick in porn will find satisfaction fucking that," a man said.
"I would remove your gun if I was you," Journey said.

Finn held up his hands and Seth moved up from the ground. He turned around and saw an older, buff man wearing a flat cap.

"That's Batista," Journey said.
"He seems friendly," Seth said.

Batista grinned and winked at Seth. Batista's grin was so different from Finn's. It wasn't creepy at all. Seth felt welcome.

"I'll be taking this, thank you," Journey said.

Journey took Finn's gun and gave him a cold smile.

"Journey, let's talk about this," Finn said.
"No," Journey said.
"So you're just gonna let him kill me?" Finn asked.
"He won't kill you," Journey said.

Finn relaxed for a second but got that scared look in his eyes again when Journey pointed his own gun at him.

"I will," Journey said.

Journey fired the gun and Finn sank to the ground. Batista lowered his shotgun, stepped over to Seth, and pulled the other man in for a hug.

"A friend of Journey is a friend of mine," Batista said.
"I'm glad you think that way," Seth said.

Batista laughed, then bent down to grab Finn. He swung the corpse over his shoulder and held out his hand. Journey placed Finn's gun in Batista's hand, and Batista smiled at the couple.

"I'll make sure he disappears down the old well," Batista said.
"We won't be drinking that water, will we?" Seth asked.
"The well dried out years ago. Now all there's down there are mud and a few other corpses. No one will ever find him there," Batista said.
"Thank you," Journey said.
"We can deal with his car tonight once it gets dark. Luckily he parked it where it can't be seen from the main road," Batista said.

Batista walked away and Journey wrapped her arms around Seth.

"I take it he was one of the men that helped you with the armered truck," he said.
"He was the only one helping. They just thought there were two because it went so fast," she said.
"Now what?" He asked.
"We already split the money in two shares. We can stay here if we want or we can go back home," she said.
"Your place has been trashed," he said.
"I figured," she said.

He leaned down and kissed her. She tightened her arms around him and he felt like he was finally where he belonged. The dark shadow of her past was no longer haunting them.

"I was gonna ask you to move in with me," he said.
"If the offer is still standing, it's a yes," she said.

He broke out in a wide smile and held on to her tighter.

"Okay, let's come up with a plan," he said. "I'm hungry."
"Food first and a good night's sleep," she said.
"Then back to clean your place, move your stuff, and hand in the keys to your landlord," he said.
"I do like your house way better than the one I'm renting," she said.
"Me too," he chuckled. "Will Batista be okay with us not staying here?"
"Yes, he loves his solitude. I think I'm the only person he can stand being around for longer than two days," she said. "Besides, this place will eventually be mine once he's gone. Someone has to take care of the kangaroos."
"I should have known you were working on a plan since we went to see them," he said.
"Of course I was. Batista was building the facility for them. What do you think about it?" She asked.
"It's fucking awesome. They deserve that much space," he said.

She giggled and it sounded so sweet. He lifted her up and she laughed while he carried her out of the barn. They turned their heads to see Batista further away pushing a lid back on the old well. He waved at them and held up his thumb. They waved back and laughed at the absurdity of it all.

"Seth is hungry!" Journey yelled.
"There's leftover roastbeef in the fridge!" Batista yelled back.
"Thank you!" Seth yelled.

Seth kept carrying Journey who had her legs locked around his waist. They walked into the house and he finally put her down once they reached the kitchen. He opened the fridge and found the leftovers. She jumped up to sit on the kitchen counter and he went to stand between her legs while chewing on a piece of cold roastbeef.

"You know, it is beautiful out here. I think it's a great place to retire once we're ready," Seth said.
"Whenever we want to, his door will be open for us. There's a small guest house we can live in until it's his time to leave this earth. Then we can take over the main house," Journey said.
"How do you know him?" Seth asked.
"That's a long story," Batista said.

Seth turned his head and smiled at Batista in the door.

"One you care to share?" Seth asked.
"Of course," Batista chuckled. "Let me heat up the leftovers. You might like them cold but I don't. We can share that old story while we eat."
"Perfect," Seth said.
"Now get out of my kitchen while I quickly fix us some food. Go find a couch or bed and be all lovey-dovey in. No sex before dinner though," Batista said.

Journey snorted in laughter and jumped down from the counter.

"You're just jealous I'm getting some," Journey said.
"I'm getting my fair share when I want to. Just not in this house. My house is only open for a few people and they're both currently in it," Batista said.

Journey grinned at Batista, grabbed Seth's hand, and pulled him into the living room. They fell down on the couch and cuddled up next to each other.

"I love you, chipmunk," he said.
"I love you too, cutie," she said. "I knew you would find me."
