Tails, Kit and Alex got out of the Torii gate and onto the Iron fortress, it had Robotnik and chaos written all over it, with mechanical horrors ready to attack

"So this is the Iron fortress..."

Suddenly, one of the abominations assaulted Kit, he tried resisting it but it overpowered him, then Tails shot it to death with his bolter

"You need to be more careful Kit" Tails said, pulling kit up and then getting ready for battle against the iron warriors and chaos

"Yes, sir"

Then more Torii gates appeared and kitsune and Malice's daemons came out of a large one which had been established, allowing them to send reinforcements, Tails then got up on a pillar and did a speech

"This fortress shall fall today! The Foul doctor will not claim this world! We fight for mankind and the kitsune, we fight for the emperor, we fight for our god!" And so they all charged into battle

"I have been waiting for this!" Alex said as he engaged a group of mechanically modified chaos daemons, who had been equipped with Lasguns, they fired at him but it had little effect on his armor, he then sent forward a lightning bolt, short circuiting the daemons and killing them

Kit fired his Plasma gun at the chaos daemons and the Iron warriors who where firing at him, then he summoned forth a maelstrom and threw a vortex grenade into it while the daemons and iron warriors got sucked into it, killing them instantly

Tails was fighting against a champion of the Iron warriors, his eyes then glowed with warp energy and then he manifested a scepter, which he used to warp himself to confuse the champion, who tried attacking, but he hit him from behind

He then summoned forth Malician Yokai, who tried overwhelming the champion, but he used his electrically charged axe to shake them off, Tails then fired his imbued bolter at him and his telekinesis to send out an object of metal at the champion, rending pieces of its armor off

The champion was then enraged and charged at Tails, who teleported away, who then summoned two Katana's and impaled the champion from behind in the air, killing it

"There are to many of them, what should we do?"

"We could plant a cherry blossom of Malice to strengthen our forces" Alex said

Tails then focused his magic and manifested a seed in his hand, which he thrusted into the ground, which then started to manifest into a cherry blossom of Malice, this however, got the attention of the chaos daemons and Iron warriors

"Iron within, Iron without!" One of the iron warriors shouted their warcry, but they got pummeled by Kit's plasma gun

They then defended the tree as it was growing, Tails relentlessly fired his bolter into the horde, cutting them down one by one

Alex fired rockets into the horde, blowing the daemons up in large numbers, but they kept on coming

Tails then noticed a mechanical structure of some form, it seemed to empower the Iron warriors and the daemons, and it was creating more of those tainted mechanical abominations

"we must destroy that heretical machine!" Alex said, firing rockets at it, only to do little damage to it

"Wait, the tree's rots will devour it" As he said that, more Yokai reinforcements came in, this time Oni and Nekomata, who where trying to establish a link to the machine and cause it to self destruct

"Master Malex, i know it's a bad time for this question but, could you have the Nekomata take a look at me? I might need to new upgrades" T-skull asked his master

"Alright, i will do that when we get back to our battle barge"

They continued on fighting until the tree had blossomed, resulting in the rots destroying and crushing the machine, weakening the iron warriors and empowering the Yokai and the kitsune

"The horrid machine is down, lets move further into the fortress" Alex said as they continued on, only to be stopped by three people he didn't want to meet right now, Acheran, Chairon and Gadriel

"Stop right there!" Acheran said as he stood before Tails and his squad, Tails then held up his bolter at him

"You really think i would turn myself in the middle of battle"

"You cast aside your chapter heraldry for another one! This is heresy!"

"If you try to hurt me, my people won't hesitate to kill you"

"And i won't either"

There was a cold tension between the two, this was a moment he wanted to avoid, being branded a heretic by the captain

"You probably don't know why Titus let me live?"

"What!?"

"Oh he knew about my chaos abilities, he chose not to tell you, otherwise Malice would have punished him"

"He made a pact with a foul god!?"

"Malice isn't like the other chaos gods, he's unique-"

"Enough! I will-" he was then interrupted by Alex who pushed him away onto the ground using his foot

"No one speaks ill of captain Malex" Alex said

"Captain?!" He got up and pointed his bolter at him, Alex pointed his multi melta at him

"Acheran, if you go now, i will spare your life from the wrath of my people"

"...fine, but you will have to answer before lord Calgar next time, and Titus will be brought in for questioning"

He then left, having been spared by the kitsune, but this wasn't the last he'd seen of him

"We need to continue the assault, where is kit!"

"He held off the iron warriors and their daemons along with some other Kitsune"

They then saw that the tree's growing rots where being blocked by an energy barrier of chaos energy, it was being powered by a warp rift it was drawing energy from and two of those foul machines

"Kit, Alex, go after the machine's, i will purge the warp rift myself"

"Yes, my lord"

Tails then went through the battlefield, fighting off mechanical aberrations from time to time until he reached the warp rift, he then voxed over to Alex and kit "Alex, kit, i think i need to go inside to destroy and collapse the warp rift, i don't know where this will take me but i have no choice"

"But sir, the warp realm of the gods is hazardous to us!"

"I can handle it, but i need to move quickly"

He then went inside, ready to confront what was powering the barrier, but dreaded what he would find inside
