'Here I thought I was dealing with a super genius capable of making androids that could fight Super Saiyans…and he builds his lab in a cave while publishing its location for all to know.' I thought with a sigh as I sat in a tree that had a clear view of the cave, watching as Krillin & Tien tried & failed to break down the steel door blocking them from entering Gero's lab.
It was not long before Vegeta and the others landed next to them, Trunks barely taking a moment to breathe as he went Super Saiyan and let out a beautiful ki blast that utterly disintegrated the door and probably anything behind it.
Waiting until I could feel them coming, I blinked as Trunks' ki surged even further before the entire mountain was lit up by a disastrous explosion, watching as the top half of it was levelled entirely while the Z-Fighters floated in the air.
'Ah, right. He blew everything up because #17 wanted to activate #16.' I faintly remember that part since Android 16 was one of my favourite Androids, but I have to admit that Trunks was just slightly weaker than Goku was in his Super Saiyan form while Vegeta was the strongest of the trio.
'This is what I hate about not being the strongest in the room. Anyone could kick your ass and it would be my fault for not preparing enough.' I thought with a frown as I watched the Androids and the Z-Fighters flying away, waiting until Krillin finally left the levelled mountain before quickly dropping down to the ground.
As soon as I landed, not a single leaf was disturbed as I ran towards the lab as fast as I could, weaving & dipping in between the trees and even leaping from tree to tree until I finally made it to the base of the mountain.
'Okay, so it's supposed to be in a basement, right?' I thought with a frown as I created a ki drill the size of my body on my arm, making it spin as fast as I could before I slowly began to drill into the mountain.
Thankfully, it barely took me a minute before I was nearly blinded by sparks flying in my face the moment I met contact with metal, leaving me blinded for a few seconds as I held onto the tunnel walls for stability.
'Y-Yeah, never enhancing my senses with ki in dark tunnels again.' Not only was the light bright as shit, but with how closely I was listening for the sound of metal, I should have expected the supersonic screech that nearly deafened me.
When I could finally take a step without feeling like I might fall over, it was child's play to punch a hole through a ten-inch wall of steel and rip it open, climbing in through my impromptu hole before looking in awe at the technological monstrosity in front of me.
'I don't even know where the fucking screen is. How the hell was Gero able to do anything on it?' I thought in shock as I stared at the giant supercomputer, a bit disoriented by the wide variety of flashing light & beeping in the large basement/ cave I was in as well as the giant domed room on top o-!
'Wait, domed room? Bingo.' Quickly flying up to the area with a dull red glass dome around it, a smirk of victory appeared on my lips as I was greeted by the thing I came here for.
In a few years, he would have awakened and grown up to either travel back in time to obtain the Androids or get killed by Trunks, but now, the Cell in front of me was nothing more than a fetus, barely conscious of the world around him.
'Now…how the hell do I absorb him? If I stab him with the stinger, am I actually going to absorb him or will it just be his nutrients? Maybe I should try absorbing him the same way I would the Androids.' I thought with a frown as ki gathered on my right index fingertip, squinting a bit as I delivered a flurry of weak yet precise ki blasts that easily cut through the cords keeping him attached to the tank he was in.
Before the fetus could fall to the ground, my tail lashed out and caught it, wrapping it up with the middle as the end of the stinger opened wide until it could fully absorb the fetus in one go.
'This feels…not weird, but not good.' I thought with a frown as I watched the open stinger envelop the fetus and absorb it, watching as the fetus slowly travelled down my tail and also caught off-guard by how good it felt when the fetus finally entered my body.
What I didn't expect was for a light emerald green aura to envelop my body before I gasped as a wave of bliss flushed over me, the world around me fading away as waves upon waves of pleasure cascaded through my form.
'If this is heaven, please don't make me go back down to Earth.' God, it felt so damn good. It was like I was being massaged by hundreds of the softest hands in existence, but from the inside.
However, that level is bliss did not last long and an actual disappointed groan escaped my lips before I could catch it, leaving me taking deep breaths before I blinked as I realized that my body felt rejuvenated.
Looking down at my hands, my eyes widened with glee as I felt nearly half as strong as I was at full power before and yet I wasn't even exuding any effort or ki to do so.
'Then again, I just absorbed a perfect copy of me, so it would make sense that my power would be somewhat boosted. Wait, how far along was he?' I thought with a frown as I looked at the display screen next to the tank before blinking at the number displayed.
DNA Integrated: 100%
Mental Programming: 0%
'So, he was fully complete, but his mental programming had not even started. I suppose that's a good thing or else I would have to fight him.' I thought with a smirk before blinking as I stretched my ki sensing out, groaning as I couldn't feel any of the Z-Fighters nearby.
…I'm going to have to hunt them, aren't I?
'But before I go…' I trailed off with a smirk as I turned back to the rest of the lab while ki condensed onto my palm.
Time to make sure that no other androids are going to surprise me for the foreseeable future.
'It's not that hard, Cell. It's something you are able to do. Why are you worried? You're no longer human so why are you worried about killing?' I thought to myself as I paced through a rather modest apartment, the family of five in front of me frozen in shock & fear
Stopping in my tracks, I looked at the glaring father that was hiding his wife & three kids before sighing as I palmed my face.
"Please don't move. Don't make me do something I'd regret." I muttered as soon as I heard them moving before letting out a sigh as I heard the father shouting for them to run.
Before they could even blink, the entire family was knocked out cold and I sighed as I sat down on the ground, looking them over as I tried to contain the storm in my mind.
'I don't have to absorb them. With how strong I am now, I can easily beat any of the Androids on my own. However, I am definitely not strong enough to take out all three of them at the same time. That leaves me with one option & the one option I didn't want to do: Absorbing humans.'
"You're no longer a human, Cell. You're an Android, an amalgamation of the greatest fighters in history and made to be the perfect being. Hah, make it quick." I muttered with a sigh, not looking as my tail pierced the father's back with ease.
As I began to suck out the nutrients from the man, I couldn't help but notice that I was only feeling pleasure & satisfaction yet I wasn't feel the one emotion I was hoping to feel.
Disgust.
"Hah, this is becoming easier and easier with each one…and that worries me." I muttered with a frown as I pulled my tail out of empty clothing, staring at the last of my victims before looking around me.
Apart from myself, there was not a single other soul living here, all of them having been absorbed and made a part of my very being.
Was it cowardly to feed on the innocent and drain their life force for myself instead of going after the Androids like a brave warrior? Absolutely, but at the end of the day, survival isn't about being the strongest or the fastest.
No, it was about being the smartest.
Then again, not having to feel any guilt while you drain the life from a child helped a lot with not having any nightmares about it for the rest of my life.
"Okay, now I need t-Oh, come on! Are you kidding me?!" Panic & anxiety entered my voice as I felt a very familiar ki signature rushing towards my location and it appears that Piccolo was a man on a mission.
'Do I run? No, he's going to catch up and I'd be at a disadvantage. Perhaps I could beat him? Ha! That would be fun, but if he's coming to me, he's probably already fused with Kami. Hah, I guess there's only one thing to do.' I thought with a sigh as I readied myself, not having to wait long as a tall Namekian dressed in a purple gi with a white turban & shoulder pads landed in front of me.
"Yo." I greeted with a smile, pleased that I managed to unsettle him slightly as Piccolo's frowned deepened and a flash of confusion appeared in his eyes.
"I'm guessing you're the cicada monster Gohan and the other idiots spoke of."
'Still got that soft spot for Gohan, huh?'
"Oh? I guess I wasn't as fast as I thought. Are you here to take the beans back, Piccolo?" I asked, a flash of happiness going through my body as Piccolo's eyes widened slightly before he frowned.
"What are you?" He ignored my question completely by asking another one, to which I raised an eyebrow before smirking as I gave a formal bow with a flourish
"My name is Cell and I…am an Android, the perfect being created by Dr. Gero." I answered, to which his eyes widened slightly before a growl escaped his lips as he glared at me.
'You know, it's quite fun to unnerve the calmest person of the Z-Fighters.' I thought with an amused smirk as I stared at the nervous look in Piccolo's eyes, chuckling as I crossed my arms.
"I see you've made contact with Androids #17 & #18, then. I don't suppose you can show me in which direction they left, hmm?"
"What happened tot he people of this city?" He asked, to which I simply raised an eyebrow before gesturing to the empty clothes around us.
"Do you truly need an answer for that when you can figure it out for yourself?"
"So, you've killed everyone, then. Why?"
"Hmm, according to the information I have on you, you're a lot nicer than you are supposed to be."
"Let's just say I had a slight change of heart over the past few hours. Now, talk!" Piccolo growled and I simply hummed before answering.
"Well, let me be truthful. I'm not fully complete. Androids #17 & #18 are my other parts and the three of us together fuse together to make the final product: Perfect Cell."
"Then I won't let you here alive!" Before I could even blink, I wheezed as a heavy blow slammed into my back and made me see stars, the world around me spinning as I was sent through building after building until finally, I came to a stop.
'…N-Nope. M-My back!' That attack made me rethink my entire life, short as it was, and I came to a simple point.
I'm not made to endure pain.
"D-Damn. Not…holding back…huh?" I coughed out while shaking my head, shattering the rubble on me with a single punch and sitting up before blinking at the trail of devastation that was created with that one attack.
Before I could process it all, something screamed at me to duck and I did, feeling the air above my head popping from the force of the kick before I felt my body move on its own.
With a donkey kick, I heard Piccolo grunt as it connected before quickly spinning around, gleefully enjoying the look of shock on the man's face as I ripped my own leg off while delivering a shattering kick to his head.
'SON OF A BITCH! Why did I think that shit was cool?!' I exclaimed in my mind as the pain from ripping my own leg off registered in my mind, hissing through gritted teeth as I felt the wound closing up.
Looking over at where Piccolo was supposed to be, I savoured the bliss I felt at the glob of purplish blood the Namekian spat up while he rubbed his jaw before standing up.
"You're not very bright, are you?" He said while gesturing at my leg, to which I snorted before his eyes widened as my energy erupted and a brand new leg ripped through the closed wound.
"Ah, did I forget to mention that I'm a being made from the cells of the best fighters in the universe? Sorry, it slipped my mind." I said with a grin, watching as his brow furrowed before his frown deepened as I went into a rather familiar stance.
Placing my right index & middle fingers against my forehead, my grin widened as I focused ki towards a single point around the two fingertips, Piccolo's eyes widening as sparks of ki flashed through the air in front of me.
"T-That's not possible!" He gasped and I grinned as the energy condensed even more before I pointed them at him.
"Special Beam Cannon." With three simple words, the air in front of me exploded as an orange beam ripped through the air while another beam coiled around it.
'Damn, this thing is strong.' The thought flashed through my mind as Piccolo slapped the attack away, watching in awe as it exploded upon contact with the ground and eviscerated nearly a quarter of the city within the blink of an eye.
Before Piccolo could even attack, he froze slightly in his steps as I went into a slightly turned horse stance while cupping my hands at my side, gathering as much energy as I could and smiling happily as neon-blue light shone from in between them.
"Ka-Me-Ha-Me-HA!" With a loud shout, the world around me was dyed blue as the monstrous beam roared towards Piccolo, my eyes focused as I watched the beam rushing towards him before cursing as the man's energy shifted out of the way.
Without wasting any time, the energy wave fizzled out as I rocketed towards the Namekian, suppressing my ki as much as I could while using the dust as a cover as I ducked & weaved around him.
Waiting until just the right moment, I was a speeding blur as I leapt onto the surprised Piccolo's back and hugged his arms to his side, a gasp escaping his lips as my stinger stabbed right into his chest.
"Now listen, I was going to say this before you attacked me, but I am not like my fellow creations. My job is to merely absorb them and that's it. I do not care for killing Goku nor getting revenge for the destruction of the Red Ribbon Army. Once I get the Androids, I'll be out of your hair and gone before you know it. Will you let me do my job or am I going to have to make sure you die right here and now?" I asked with a growl, waiting as Piccolo struggled a bit before the Namekian gritted his teeth & nodded.
With slight reluctance, I let him go, moving back but keeping my tail stuck in his chest for safety measures as the Namekian looked down at the tail.
"Before you think of it, I can inject you with a digestive enzyme that will liquefy your organs within seconds before you can even blink and the tail can grow back." I answered as I watched the thought flash through his mind, to which Piccolo scoffed before looking up at me.
"So, what now? Are you going to hold me hostage until you get the Androids?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow before his eyes widened slightly as I pulled it out.
"Think of it as a gesture of good faith. Now then, I shall be ta-!" My arm flashed out and slapped away a ki blast before I could finish my sentence, the movement surprising me before I quickly leapt as a sword barely missed my neck.
Landing a few meters away from where I previously stood, I growled as Trunks and Krillin landed next to Piccolo, both fighters on edge as Piccolo smirked.
'Fucking hell. Can one thing go my way today?'
A/N: And we are back with Chapter 2 of our new story.
I have seen people asking whether or not I'll be following canon and to answer, I will be following canon but only up to when he attains his perfect form. After that, canon can go dive off a cliff because I'm going on my own adventure.
Also, I know that people are going to be mad that he's just used to his situation, but let's just say that he's going to go on a spiritual journey of his own. When, you'll have to wait for that.
Anyway, as always, read, enjoy, review and until next time...
Ba-Bye~!
