Ch 118 The Guardian of the Skies Pt 1
Helena stared at the clouds above her. Her hand was out, reaching out for anyone who was on their way to save her,
However, she knows her reaching out is futile. At this speed, she'll reach out to the Ocean before anyone can get to her.
As she fell, her mind raced with so many things; mainly it's about her Sons. At this moment, she knew that she wouldn't be able to see any of the milestones of their Childhood and Adulthood.
Aiden and Casey's First steps, their First words, their First Pokemon Partners, their First Pokemon Battle. Their First Girlfriends or Boyfriends, their Wedding, their Children…Helena wanted to be there to witness their growth.
'Casey, Aiden…I wonder what kind of People you'll grow up to be.' Helena said to herself with a content smile. Her eyes drew to Steven, reaching out in vain to her. 'Steven…I know you wanted to raise our Boys together, but it seems I can't be there to watch them grow.'
Steven's expression turns into shock, watching helplessly as his Fiancée falls to her Death. His eyes then caught Helena opening her mouth, "Take good care of the Boys, Steven, Gardevoir, N, everyone." Helena said, giving him one last smile, knowing he'd do his best in raising the Boys.
Helena shut her eyes, recalling the memories and choices she had taken so far. She accepted the Path she had chosen for herself, the Family she created with Steven, her Boys, her Adopted Siblings, Anthea, Concordia, N, and her newly extended Potter Family.
If she's being honest with herself, never in a million years would've rebuilt the Potter in a new Legacy in this World. Helena chuckles at how a simple belief could change an entire group of People into following her example. If she had any regrets then it would be that she didn't have the chance to see her old World,
'Hermione, Ginny, Neville, Uncle Sirius, Uncle Remus, Fred, Geroge, Luna…I hope that I will see you all again…maybe in my next Life I wo-'
Just before Helena could finish her train of thought, something jetted by. The black-haired Professor felt something catch her in a split second.
Opening her eyes, Helena saw that she was racing across the Ocean's surface. Turning to the side, she saw whoever caught her before she fell to her Death.
A Jet-shaped Pokemon held her in his turbine/wing-like arms. He had slick grey skin with purple patterns on his arms and forehead, his eyes were striking red.
Even though the form was different, she could tell that this Pokemon was. "Latias?" Helena questioned if he was the right Legendary Pokemon.
He looks down, shaking his Head in response to her question. "Then you must be the other one, Latios, Mega Evolved!" Helena spoke, realizing the Eon Pokemon had saved her from what should've been her last moments.
Mega Latios's eyes gaze down at Helena, nodding to the young Professor's question. He spotted the Ice Float where they were trying to land.
With great speed, Mega Latios reached for the Ice Float, and gently placed her down. Helena carefully placed her feet on the slippery ground. "T-Thank you for saving me, Latios-" She paused, realizing that rogue Attack didn't just knock her out of the Helicopter,
The rogue Attack also caused some major damage to the Helicopter itself. "The Helicopter! It got hit by Groudon's Solar Beam!" Helena said, pleading for the Psychic/Dragon-type to lend more of his help.
Mega Latios turned his Head, motioning to the air. Helena followed where the Eon Pokemon was looking at,
"W-Wha…" Helena saw the Helicopter being gently lowered with Psychic on another Ice Float. Gardevoir, Metagross, and what looks like a smaller-looking Pokemon to Latios bring the Devon Corporation Helicopter down safely.
Helena released a deep sigh, seeing her Fiancé, his Protégée, and the Pilot. "Thank goodness," She said, placing her hand over Heart, relieved to see them alright.
"Helena!" The black-haired Woman turns to the side, seeing Reshiram and N heading straight down to her.
"N!" Helena exclaims, happy to see her Brother safe after that Attack.
Reshiram flew over to the Ice Float where Helena was standing. Once the Vast White Pokemon reached the Float, N swiftly leaps off from his Friend's back and to his Sister's side.
"Helena!" N reached out, grabbing the black-haired Woman in a tight hug. "Y-You had me worry there, I-I thought we'd lost you, Helena." The green-haired trainer said, sounding relieved to see his Sister alive and well.
Helena was dumbfounded, never expecting N to react this way. "N…" She merely smiles, stroking his hair like a Mother would to her Child. "It's okay, N. I'm okay," she gently said in a motherly tone.
N's eyes widen from his Sister caressing his hair, smoothing him from his worries. The feeling of her hand stroking his hair reminds him of something,
A memory flashes before the green-haired trainer's mind. A memory of a red-haired Woman smiling down upon him as she stroked his hair, "N#####," The Woman softly spoke his Name,
"N?" N was brought out of his daze, looking up at the red-haired Woman, slowly fading into his Sister. "N, are you really okay? You spaced out for a second there." Helena spoke, concerned for his well-being.
Reshiram approaches the Potter Siblings, he hums trying to get the two's attention.
N shook his Head, turning to his Partner and hearing his voice. "I'm alright Reshiram, and you're right." The former King of Team Plasma looks back at the Continent Pokemon restarting his advance to Sootoplis City.
Kyogre was above the Ocean's surface, seeing his long-time Rival walking across the waters. He opened his mouth, releasing a powerful Hydro Pump at the Ground/Fire-type.
Jackie was flying on Mantine, dodging Kyogre's Hydro Pum, it hurls straight for Primal Groudon. He retaliated, using Piercing Blades.
The Jagged Rocks created a barrier around him, deflecting the Hydro Pump.
"Kyogre seems to be keeping Groudon back," The blonde Pokemon Ranger said, seeing Kyogre is giving them some time to better assess the situation. He looks at Mantine, patting his side. "Mantine, I need you to take me to Steven and Brendan." He asked the Water/Flying-type Pokemon to do him that favor.
Mantine nodded, turning around, and headed to where the Hoenn Champion was.
Back with the Potter Siblings, Helena saw the Sea Basin Pokemon continuing Battling his oldest Rival. "This is getting out of hand, N. At this rate, I'm not sure that the Environment can take any more of this." She said,
"Yes, I agree, Sister," N said, looking at the Battle. "We have to stop this."
"Reshiram, Latios," N turns to the two Legendary Pokemon, speaking to the two. "I have a request of you two. Please take us to our Allies so we can better strategize on how to put an end to this Battle." The green-haired trainer asked the two,
Reshiram nodded, always doing whatever he could for his Friend/Partner. He lowered his Body so N could climb onto him.
Mega Latios was hesitant, turning to the left and staring afar at something. "Latios?" Helena called out his Name, prompting him to turn her. "Can you lend your Power?" She asked.
Mega Latios ponders before eyeing someone from a distance. Seeing that Person nod, the Duel-type Pokemon nodded to Helena's request.
"Thank you, Latios." The black-haired Woman smiled, grateful for the Eon Pokemon lending his assistance in the Battle.
N hops onto Reshiram's back, offering his hand to his Sister. "Climb on, Helena." He said as Helena took his hand and assisted her on the back of the Vast White Pokemon.
Reshiram then took off in the Skies with Mega Latios following behind them. The to where Steven, Brendan, and the Pilot were.
While flying, everyone received a transmission to their Rotom Phones from Team Magma's Submarine.
-ZZZ-Professor Potter, Mr. Stone, my Father, and the rest of Team Magma and Aqua have finished their Primal Groudon analysis. -ZZZ- Paulo spoke, contacting his Mentor and her Fiancé.
"Paulo," Helena smiled, happy to hear her Student's voice. "What do you have so far, Paulo?" She asked the dirty blonde-haired trainer as they closely arrived at the Ice Float.
Deep underneath the Ocean, both Team Magma and Aqua's Submarine travel through the fleeing Pokemon from the Battle between the two Legendary Pokemon.
Inside Team Magma's Submarine, Paulo moves aside as his Father takes over the Comms to better explain their results to the group. "Professor Potter, Mr. Stone, based on our analysis of where Primal Groudon's Power is located," Maxie said, informing the group.
-ZZZ- We detected similar readings to the Red Orb within a specific area within Primal Groudon's Body. -ZZZ- The Leader of Team Magma informed the group of their findings.
-ZZZ- We believe that readings are the Red Orb that allows him to revert to his Primal Groudon's source of Power. It's in the Head… -ZZZ- The red-haired Man continued to explain their findings about the Legendary Pokemon. -ZZZ- In short-ZZZ-
"It's where the Red Orb is located," On the other Ice Float, Steven was tuning in to the Transmission from Team Aqua and Magma via his own Rotom Phone.
Steven sighs, creating a plan with the information he receives. However, right now that wasn't his priority. Even though as Hoenn Champion the protection of the Region, the People, and the Pokemon takes the highest priority, he couldn't help but have his Fiancée be the First. "Helena…please, for the Love of Arceus, please let Helena be saf-"
"Steven!" The Hoenn Champion turns around to his Protégée, the Pilot, and some of their Pokemon called for his Name.
Brendan turns to the left, raising his hand and pointing to the incoming White Dragon from the left. "Look, Reshiram is coming towards us with N and…Latios?" He shook his Head, having no time to correctly Name that Pokemon besides the Dragon/Fire-type. "Anyways, Steven I see Professor Potter with them,"
The Steel-blue haired Man swiftly turns and faces the direction Brendan was pointing to. With a sigh of relief, Steven saw Helena riding on Reshiram with N behind her as they approached them.
Not only that, but Jackie was heading to the Ice Float as well. When everyone reached the Ice Float, Steven quickly ran over to where Reshiram was landing and saw Helena getting down from the Legendary Dragon Pokemon.
"Helena!" Helena turns her Head over to the Person calling her Name. The next thing she knew, she was being held tightly in his arms as she heard him crying softly.
Helena was about to pet his back to comfort him, but Steven held her shoulders and stared at her before she could. "Don't you dare scare me like that again!" Steven exclaims, his voice filled with relief and anger. "You're always reckless despite what I say! Do you know how worried I was about you!?" He shouted in anger echoing through the air.
Everyone watches as the Hoenn Champion lets his frustration out to Helena. N was about to defend his Sister only to have Reshiram and Jackie to stop him,
"S-Ste…ve-"
Steven just pulled Helena close to him, needing a bit more time with Helena to calm himself about what happened. "P-Please…don't…"
A few more seconds passed by before Steven finally released his Fiancée. He then placed his forehead onto Helena's shoulders and spoke. "Helena, I don't know what I would do if I lost you then," Steven said, his voice shaking from the anxiety and fear he felt when he saw her falling from the Helicopter. "You…Aiden…Casey…all three of you are the light of my Life…please, don't leave us."
Helena felt empathy for her Future Husband, understanding how he was feeling. She took was scared of the fall, the Fear of never seeing him, their Sons, or any of their Friends again. "Steven…I won't ever leave you. I promise," She said softly, embracing him in response.
A few moments passed; N cleared his throat causing the Couple to separate. "Hate to disrupt this sentimental moment, but don't forget. We still have a Legendary Pokemon that needs to be stopped." The green-haired Ability User reminded the two once again of their Mission.
"Sorry, you're right N." Steven nodded, apologizing for his behavior at the moment.
Brendan smiles, fully understanding how his Mentor feels. "I may not know how you guys feel since I haven't known Professor Potter that long." The young trainer said to the Champion. "I could only imagine how you were feeling. You got nothing to be sorry for, Steven." He said to the Steel-blue haired Man.
"Yeah, I understand how you're feeling," Jackie spoke, understanding how Steven was feeling.
N remained silent, Steven and the others already knew how he felt whenever his Sister or Family.
Helena turns to Gardevoir, approaching her after patiently waiting for her time with her. "Gardevoir," She went over to her Partner, "You must've been scared for me," She spoke, holding her hands.
The Embrace Pokemon nodded, really worried for her Partner once she saw her falling from the Helicopter. "Gardevoir," Gardevoir said, hugging Helena.
"I know and thank you for helping to bring the Helicopter to safety," Helena said, grateful for her aiding Steven and the others.
Gardevoir shook her Head, turning to a similar-looking Pokemon to Mega Latios. However, instead of Crismon eyes, she has Amber to differentiate from her Brother. "Gardevoir, Gardevoir,"
Floating down beside Mega Latios was what Helena presumed to be his Counterpart, Latias, Mega Evolved form.
Unlike her Brother, Mega Latias was eager to lend them her assistance. Mega Latios merely sighs, letting his Sister get a bit carried away. Helena smiled, looking at the Eon Pokemon, "Latias, you're going to help us out here, right?" She asked the other Legendary Pokemon before them.
"Another Legendary Pokemon is lending their Power to help us," Brendan said, excited to meet another Legendary Pokemon.
N looks at Reshiram, reaching out his hand to his Partner. "Having this many Legendary Pokemon in one place, I'm having a bad about this, Reshiram." He said to him,
Reshiram looks around, seeing that there are a lot of Legendary Pokemon around them. Despite that, he didn't think it would harm the Environment too much.
Off at the corner, Steven watched as everyone took the moment to reel in on what happened, including their Pokemon. Hal, the Pilot approaches him, having some thoughts. "Mr. Stone, as much as I want to ensure that Ms. Potter's alright. The thing is,"
Steven took a deep breath before addressing the problem they've been holding off. "Okay everyone, this reunion is nice and all, but we forgot the thing we're meant to do." He said,
"To stop Groudon, we haven't forgotten, Steven," N said, saying they were well aware of the situation. "Fortunately before heading here, Team Magma and Aqua relayed the Data they were collecting on Groudon." He explained,
Helena nodded, taking over for his Brother due to her being the Lead Researcher on Primal Reversion. "The source of Groudon's Power is located on the center of his Head." She points to Kyogre trying to slam his Body into his Rival's Head.
"Is that why Kyogre is aiming for Groudon's Head?" Brendan said, thinking back at how many times the Sea Basin Pokemon tried to aim his Attacks towards his Head. "Kyogre must've known that's where Primal Groudon's weakness is."
"Sceptile," Sceptile nodded, agreeing with his Partner also noticing that prior.
Jackie rolled back his shoulder, ready to continue their Mission. "Well, now that we're able to figure out where to strike, this would be even more tricky than just stopping Groudon." The blonde Pokemon Ranger commented, looking at his Temporary Partner, "Can you help us some more Mantine?" He asked, knowing he's been doing a lot to help him.
The Flying/Water-type Pokemon nodded, wanting to help the group so his Friends and Family could live peacefully in the Oceans just as before.
Helena took a deep breath, unsure how exactly they were going to achieve this feat. "Gardevoir," The Embrace Pokemon steps forward, standing beside her Partner.
"Gardevoir, this will be the toughest battle we will participate in," Helena said, turning her First Pokemon. She then noticed that around her neck was a Pendant with a Gardevoirite.
"Gardevoir, Gard," The Duel-type Pokemon nodded, ready to participate in the battle that could be decisive.
Steven walks over with Metagross while holding his other Pokeball in his Hand. "Are you sure you want to participate in this Battle? You nearly lost your Life after that stray Attack on the Helicopter?" The Champion asked, slowly reaching his Hand to his Fiancée. "I don't want that to ever happen again,"
"Again, Steven. I want to fix the mess I help create." The black-haired Woman stated, "Please, Steven I want to do this." He begs for her Fiancé to allow her to help out.
The Steel-blue haired Champion looked at Helena, his eyes saw her eyes filled with fire and determination. Steven sighs, unable to say no or deny her request.
Steven took the few moments he had left before moving out to think. After a few seconds, he ultimately agreed to her pleas, "Alright, but I want you to stay as close to me as possible." He asked in return,
Helena understood why Steven requested her to stay close to him. In all honesty, she doesn't want to experience that again, "Okay,"
Steven sighed in relief that this didn't go into a full-on argument right there. Shaking his Head, he looks at Helena. "Then let's save Hoenn, together, Ellie." He said, holding out his Hand towards her.
Helena accepts what Steven is saying, wanting to have this Battle over and reunite with her Friends and Family. "Yes, let's."
Everyone looks down at the Battle between the two Legendries, getting more intense by the second. Unbeknownst to them, flying above them was a Corviknight with two young trainers situated on his back. "Good thinking of having Latios and Latias in both saving Mom and saving Dad and Brendan. At least we managed to save Mom from the moment she died, or that's what Dad said when he spoke about it." Aiden said, looking back at his Brother.
Aiden then noticed the complex expression on his Twin Brother's face. "Okay, what is it? My Twin vibe is vibrating right now," The Steel-blue haired Pokemon trainer stated.
"I was just thinking, even though we saved Mom from her Death. There's still Groudon and Kyogre's Battle that's going on." Casey said, making a valid point. "Even if we have Latios and Latias helping Mom and Dad now, we're talking about the two most major Powers in Hoenn." The white-haired Boy said, placing his hand over his chin.
Aiden couldn't help but agree, he felt something was missing with all this. "I know you're right, but I don't know what it could be-" The young trainer paused, hearing a familiar and distinct roar echo throughout the Sky.
Both Brothers looked at each other, now remembering what the Legends of their Home Region. "I know what was missing," Aiden said to Casey,
"Yeah, that much is clear," Casey said, gazing up in the Skies as a long Serpent-like Pokemon flew down towards the gathering of Clouds,
The Pokemon who protects the Planet from within the Ozone Layer, the Pokemon who was responsible for saving Hoenn many years in the Past has returned to do that once again,
This Pokemon is none other than…
Breaking through the Clouds, everyone saw the Third Legendary Pokemon of Hoenn. The Duel-type of Dragon and Flying, the Emerald Guardian,
"Rayquaza…." Helena gasps, looking up at the Sky High Pokemon.
