Death of a Demon, Birth of a Ghost
Naruto Uzumaki truly was the most unpredictable resident of Konaha The Hidden Leaf village, during his youth he was treated with distain and hatred, sure he use to try to gain attention by loud and obnoxious means, but gave up on that by age 8.
At 8 years old he learned the truth about himself his family and the curse thrusted upon him at birth. He knew he was the son of the Forth Hokage "Minato Namekaze" and his Mother was "Kushina Uzumaki" aka Konoha's Red Death, while he loved his mother even though he could not remember her, he hated his father with every fiber of his being. Naruto hated Minato Namekaze for 3 reasons first he chose the village over his son, second he had cursed Naruto to life of loneliness and cruelty,and third he left no safeguards for Naruto after he became the Jinnjuriki of The Nine Tailed Fox "Kurama".
At 8 he learned that he contained the most powerful tailed beast in existence, after taking a severe beating from a Hyuga branch family member after trying to protect their heiress, he heard them call him a Jinnjuriki a demon container he later learned by going to the Library under a transformation Jutsu which he taught himself to do.
He learned by putting all the pieces together what had happened, he contained the spirit of the 9 Tailed Fox hince the villagers misplaced hatred for him, he had been lied to his entire life, and the Civilian Council and some of the Shinobi Council did not wish for him to be strong nor competent.
Naruto began studying scrolls of techniques from the Shinobi Library, or ones discarded by arrogant Clans, such as Hyuga and Uchiha, he also studied under foreign Ninja and a very old Samurai called Jin Sakai, he accomplished this by using a hybrid technique he developed using Shadow Clone and Blood Clone Jutsus as a base he could create a single clone that could last as long as the clone didn't run out of the Chakra provided to it, he dispelled it himself, or received enough damage that would kill it, but it had a similar benefit to the normal Shadow Clone Jutsu he learned what the clone did, but not only when dispelled but when both slept.
The clone recharged it's chakra two ways, as sleeping allowed him to replenish and increase his chakra reserves making him stronger, but eating allows him to regain the Chakra already consumed but did not increase his reserves.
This ability also greatly benefited Naruto himself giving him unnatural control of his emense chakra reserves allowing him to preform any Jutsu that requires chakra and be immune to Genjutsu completely.
Naruto learned many Taijutsu fighting styles from the foreign Ninja on his travels no one knew the real him was gone and he wasn't even a real ninja yet so technically he couldn't be charged with deserting.
Naruto was unusually gifted in swordsmanship Jin had trained him beyond even his own expectations, Jin had told Naruto of his life before he came to the Elemental Nations, he lived on a small island off the coast of the Hidden Whirlpool Village was located, the island was called Tsushima, there he was head of a legendary Samurai Clan and was his Uncle's right hand man.
Jin told how before the Whirlpool Village was invaded Tsushima was attacked first, the samurai were decimated in their first battle with only a few survivors, one being himself and his uncle who was captured.
Jin explained he was rescued by a young theif a woman named Yuna who he later married, she taught him how to survive and that the way of the samurai was too rigid and constricted which was why the Shinobi overpowered them. So Jin adopted their tactics and developed his own unique ones, this eventually lead to him falling out with his uncle and later banishment and dismantlement of his clan.
That was followed by the fall of The hidden Whirlpool Village, Jin lost his old life but made a new one as The Ghost of Tsushima, his wife Yuna died two years before he met Naruto and he had no children of his own. He taught Naruto everything and named him his heir, he also gifted the young blond three extraordinary weapons The Katana,Wakizashi, and Tanto of clan Sakai but the scabbards and Tsuba guards and grip wrappings had all been replaced the scabbards now had the Uzumaki Swirl Crest in place of the twin mountains of the Sakai clan, the grip wraps were a dark red leather replacing the once white fabric, the guards a black version of the Uzumaki Swirl with red accents within it.
The Sakai blades themselves could not be altered however these blades were of unknown origin and have been in the Sakai family since before it's official founding, the blades never dulled, and never received damage of any kind it was made of a unknown metal and is believed to be indestructible and now they belong to Naruto Uzumaki.
Naruto had learned far more in his travels than could ever hope to back in Konoha, he even learned the art of Sealing techniques and took them to new heights although some by accident.
Naruto had tried to find a way to safely separate himself with the Nine Tailed Fox by messing with his seal, his goal was to hopefully cut off any connection with Kurama other than just keeping him contained, but by a unique circumstance his experiment had messed up but gave him something better.
Naruto had absorbed Kurama's very essence and his previous seal along with the one he added caused a reaction that would be near impossible to replicate. The seals assimilated Kurama's very embodiment within Naruto making him the Tailless Nine Tailed Beast but Naruto decided to give himself a new title, The 9 Tailless Ghost of Konoha. This had created a new entity to replace the Fox Bijiu, their would never be another Jinnjuriki of The Nine Tailed Fox, through his seals though Naruto ensured his abilities would only pass through his bloodline and in skip a generation in between each one so there will never be more than One ghost at a time.
Now he had returned to Konoha, he technically graduated 3 years ago, but was placed on reserve so he hadn't been on a team, it was the Civilian Council's way of undermining him without getting on The Third Hokage's bad side a very poor and petty loophole.
But now Naruto was the only reserve Gennin left, others dropped out or got placed on a team, and two of which are crippled thus their career as Ninja was over and two others died in the line of duty one of these two was a friend of Naruto "Sai" a orphan that became Naruto's best and only friend in Konoha what all these four reserve Gennin had in common was they were all members of Team 7 under Jonin Kakashi Hatake the other members were Sakura Haruno the daughter of Civilian Councilwoman, and Sasuke Uchiha the last living Uchiha in the village, this was the team Naruto was to join replacing his friend.
Naruto was to meet with them the next day, but today he watched all of them, he needed to know his team so he could work with them sufficiently.
What Naruto learned gave him some concerns. First the least concerning member of team 7, Sakura Haruno, She was listed as Kunoichi of the year upon graduating her class Naruto graduted a year earlier and had limited interaction with her. Her file said she was a devoted fan girl of Sasuke Uchiha and the only one that rivaled her in that was Ino Yamanaka, but it's clear by Naruto's observation she's uncomfortable being around Uchiha at least and down right terrified of him at most. It had said her role in the group was Trapper, and feild Medic but if that was the case why did her last two teammates die and the two before get crippled beyond recovery ?
He next observed His would be Sensei and The last Uchiha of Konoha who were often together, Kakashi and Sasuke could be seen arguing often, mostly about Sasuke's behavior and conduct, Said boy seemed to love rubbing that He would not be repremanded by the council in his Sensei's face, and it would be unlikely that the Hokage would do much against such a valuable flight risk asset like Sasuke Uchiha.
This was not ideal but Naruto had to make it work, if he wanted to be the ninja no the Ghost he always dreamed of it wasn't a choice, failure was not an option this was his story and Failure was not apart of his destiny.
