Saturday night. 3-A Dorm.
Movie night. 3-A Dorm.
A weekly tradition conducted every Saturday night, the class roster of 3-A including a few students from other classes would gather within the common lounge to enjoy a movie or another selection that would be voted on the week prior, ranging anywhere from live action to animation. Of course, majority of those who voted didn't seem to care much in terms of what exactly was being shown, so long as it wasn't something dreadful such as a teary romance movie or a corny children's movie that attempted to play on every single pun that was known to the universe. Because quite frankly they'd much rather deal with a mandatory test at seven in the morning than hear about how "shocking" something is whenever it involved an electrical current.
Though as the end of their final year was nearing ever closer with each passing day, it felt as if it didn't matter if the selection was in fact a teary romance or a corny children's movie. Because with every movie night that passes the realization further dawns on them that their end at U.A? It's coming, and it's not stopping anytime soon whether they wanted it to or not. At graduation, faces once seen every day would disappear, school work was now swapped with real work, and friend groups would unfortunately scatter at the end of the year as graduates pursued their goals to be whatever it is they wanted to be. So to be putting it simply, bring on the tears and bring on the horribly awful puns about shocking currents and how much of a "blast" an explosion is, because memories made with their favorite classmates are memories saved forever and always.

Unless of course, the rain decided to be a hindering factor said memories.
"Hrmmmm..." Hado pouted as she looked out the common lounge windows with her chubby right cheek smushed against the glass, a worried expression on her face as she looked off in the distant sky. Gentle drops of rain tapped against the glass from the outside, the skies beginning to obscure themselves behind a blanket of thick dark grey clouds. Dressed in a comfy set of a light blue T-Shirt with same color unzipped hoodie and shorts, the third year was excited and ready for tonight's movie as she even decided to break out her favorite pair of squirrel slippers for the occasion. Unfortunately, that excitement has all but dwindled thanks to the oncoming weather. "I don't like rain."
"Now what did rain do to you for you to not like it?" Haya asked from the kitchen as she dumped a bag of freshly popped popcorn into a large bowl that already had popcorn to begin with. "Beat you up and take your lunch money when you were a kid?"
"I hate thunder, it's so scary and loud, and it always follows behind lightning which makes things even scarier. And it sucks cause if it really starts to pour down on us, then all our friends who are coming over won't be able to get through the rain to come watch the movie."
"Yeahhh it sucks but, better to stay dry than to be caught running through the rain. Did you invite your little toon troop to come join us?"
"Yeah yeah! Ochaco and Tsuyu said that they'll definitely be coming over, and Midoriya said that he's interested in the idea so he might be coming over as well. It's gonna be super duper fun!"
"Oh he actually worked up the courage to finally text you huh? Several years later."
"Well sorta, I kinda had to remind him to text me when I visited him in the infirmary hm-hm." Hado replied. "He messaged me that night after he was cleared from the nurse's and we talked for HOURS. He really REALLY likes a lot of stuff that they have in Western media buuuut his English isn't that good so he can't really enjoy it to it's full extent unless it has subtitles. He understands a little but it's not enough to keep a fluent conversation."
"Oh, is he gonna be okay with coming to see the movie then?" Haya asked with a slight hint of worry. "Since it's in English and all."
"He'll be fine, plus he isn't the only one who doesn't get English that much a few others need the subtitles to help them too. He'll be okay."
"Mm, we'll see when he gets here."
KRA-KOOM*
"If, he gets here that is." Haya added as the gentle sound of the tapping rain slowly increased in frequency and power, the taps equal to a knuckle gently knocking against the glass. "That rain is picking up quickly, sucks if we'd have to start worrying about the power going out."
Hado sighed as she too looked out the windows of the common lounge with a frown, her mood slowly falling like the rain. With each passing minute the weather continued to worsen, which meant the likelihood of her friends coming to movie night was dwindling with each falling drop. Sure to some it may be just one night out of the year where their friends might not be present but for somebody who lived, loved and laughed with friends and nothing but her friends, this was big for Hado. And while they've only recently had the chance to meet the third year during the Hassaikai operation she still considers the first years to be her little bunch of first year friends. The so called "Toon Troop" as Haya liked to describe them.
PITTER PATTER PITTER PATTER*
The rain continued to fall in it's growing numbers and strength, the third years exiting from the rooms and gathering in the common lounge to create commotion about the heavy weather. Some were pleased about the presence of rain as it was calming and provided an ambient sound in the background while watching their movie, to others it felt depressing and created an overall grey-colored mood whenever it began to pour. To each their own opinion. For Hado, she never liked the rain, this opinion dating back towards her younger years and tied to an event that she's kept close to her heart. Only the most select of few people knew what this event was, not even Haya or the boys know about it.
Looking around the common area Hado noticed that essentially nobody from the other classes managed to make it to the 3-A dorm, whether due to not wanting to attend the event or because of the rain were equal chances. The only student outside of 3-A that was already in the building was Togata but his presence had been there for hours by now, having spent majority of his time in Amajiki's room waiting for the movie time to come around. And with majority of the students down in the common lounge the kitchen soon became a popular point to gather around as bowls of popcorn, large bags of chips and pretzel sticks, several two-litre jugs of soda along with plastic cups, and a large sheet of brownies were available for the students to pick and choose from. Of course, the classic combo of popcorn mixed with chocolate candies was a favorite.

Coming out from his room was Snipe wearing a giant set of pajamas that resembled a dog's body, a short tail wagging behind him with the hood being the dog's face as he shuffled towards the kitchen. "Oh boy oh boy, love me some treats that y'all made."
"Nice costume Sensei, going trick or treating anytime soon?" Haya asked as a handful of other students snickered and chuckled at the odd sight. "Maybe hit up a convention or something?"
"Ehhh, just a lil' something that's been cooped up in my closet for a while. This ain't a costume now these my PJ's. My wife got it for me a while back for our anniversary and I ain't really been usin' it that much, figured I might as well for tonight. Shoo boy, that rain sure is pourin' like hell ain't it? Kinda makes it cozy if I'm bein' honest."
"Sensei, you wouldn't happen to know how long this rain was forecasted to last would you?" Hado asked. "Hopefully it's not all night."
"I wouldn't be able to give a guess even if the answer was right in front of me. I didn't see nothin' on any sort of news about heavy rainfall during the weekend, I'm sure it'll all come to an end before the morning. Say, where's Johnny Test and angsty teen from the Lorax?"
"Up in the angsty teen's room probably playing games." Haya answered. "And seeing as how we're just about to get started, they're probably coming down right about-"
PING*
"Now."
"Oh boy! Movie time!" Togata bounced out of the elevator with Amajiki shambling behind him, the difference of being excited to spend time with others and not wanting to do anything shown as clear as day between the two. "And it smells like we've got all sorts of snacks to go through for tonight, awesome! Whoa hey! I like your costume Sensei!"
"THIS ISN'T- you know what whatever don't matter. We all down here now? Mm, seems like it. Well in any case now that we're all here-"
KRA-KOOM*
"-and seemingly looking like nobody else will be joining us due to the rain, why don't we go ahead and get started with-"
KNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCK*
The entire class all turned to the sound of rapid knocking against their front door, a few of them wondering whether it was actually knocking or simply the rain picking up so quickly and powerfully that it resembled knocking.
KNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCK*
No, it was indeed knocking that they heard, several students whispering amongst each other wondering who would be crazy enough to appear on their step during a storm like this one. Rushing to the rapid sound of the knocks Snipe answered the door just as lightning perfectly timed a strike in the distance, revealing a figure so short he had to slightly tilt his head down to see them. "WHAT IN THE-"
"H-H-Hey S-S-Snipe-sens-s-sei." Midoriya chattered with an umbrella clutched tightly in his left hand as his right hand was held tight to his torso and underneath a drenched raincoat. Clumps of his hair were sopping wet as they clung to his forehead and oozed trails of water down his face, because apparently the rain hitting him in the face at a slight sideways angle wasn't enough. "C-Can I c-come in?"
"Uhhhhhhh, sure son come right on in."
Hado leaned around the side of a classmate curious about who had arrived, her slight frown instantly turning upside down as she practically glowed at the sight of her first year friend. "Oh heyyyyyyy Midoriya! You made it!"
"Yeah right after he took a shower in the rain too." Haya commented as the first year trudged inside and away from the rain. "Dude you actually walked through all of that just to come to movie night?"
"W-Well, it probably wasn't the best idea to do so heh but Uraraka and Asui didn't want to go through the rain to get here, and I would have felt bad about leaving Hado-senpai hanging after inviting us so, I came along."
"That's a bit of a bizarre reason son but, each have their own." Snipe cleared his throat as he stood beside the first year on his right and held him by his left shoulder. "For those who don't know, this is Izuku Midoriya from Class 1-A. Seems he was invited to movie night per Hado's invitation so I expect all of y'all to treat him like you would treat any of your other classmates here, okay? Better not catch any of y'all mistreating this here first year. Midoriya you joined us just as we're about to get started so, getcozy with the others."
Midoriya nodded as majority of the third years didn't bother in greetings themselves with the first year, instead moving towards their locations in the common lounge where giant bean bags and sleeping bags had been placed as a preservation for their spots. Closing his umbrella in and stepping out of his shoes, Midoriya removed the drenched thick black raincoat from his body to reveal a simple white T-Shirt and folded the coat from the outside inwards, placing the neatly folded coat over his shoes and umbrella to prevent it from touching and leaving a wet spot on the floor. Cozy with his T-Shirt and black sweatpants, or at least as cozy as he could be due to the few wet splotches on the sides of his sweatpants, Midoriya stepped up to the kitchen counter where Haya stood behind it munching away at a handful of popcorn.
"Hey Haya-senpai."
"Sup." She greeted. "So no-go on your little buddies huh? Bummer."
"No, unfortunately." He answered. "Neither of them wanted to get caught up in that kind of rain. I understand though."
"Doesn't one of them have the Quirk that literally makes them a human frog?"
"Yes?"
"And they're bothered about being caught up in WATER?"
"...huh. I, didn't even think about that." Midoriya stated with slight furrow of his eyebrows. "Weird."
"Hey heyyyyy Midoriya!" Hado chimed as she bounced her way to the first year who instantly released his furrow and smiled at her presence. An action which did not make it's way past Haya undetected. "You made it yayyyyy! This is gonna be so fun!"
"Hey Hado-senpai, sorry about Uraraka and Asui not being able to make it."
"It's fiine, it's fiiiiine. Honestly I don't blame them, the weather's being super duper mean tonight and scary. But as long as one of you managed to make it, I'm happy with it."
"Well thank you for inviting me to this movie night Senpai. I'm really glad to be here."
'I bet you are huh.' Haya thought with an investigative and curious eyebrow tilting curving itself upwards, curious but subtle glances bouncing from Hado to Midoriya and back. 'But for what reason exactly. Hmmmm...'
With a bowl in his hands Midoriya waited until the last of the third years served their snack choices first before taking his own pick. A mixture of popcorn, chocolate candies, small yogurt bits, several handfuls of chips, a brownie, and a cup filled with strawberry soda were his choices as Hado then guided him over to a section where she and the others had set up beside the couch. A light blue, black, purple and red colored giant beanbags big enough to fit three people on each bag was the set up that the Big 3 had established, Midoriya having the purple bean bag all to himself as he nearly sunk into the abyss when taking his seat. On his right were Togata and Amajiki, the girls taking up the red bean bag on his left.
"You good over there Midoriya?" Haya asked, chuckling at the sight of the first year squirming around and trying to prevent himself from sinking into the next dimension. "Looks like you're being dragged into the shadow realm."
"Heh, I-I'm good I'm good." Midoriya assured, finally managing to sit himself in the spot where he doesn't slowly sink into the bean bag. "This bean bag is HUGE, and it's just me on here too so I keep sinking. I got it now thanks."
"Ooh hey hey! I want you to meet somebody Midoriya." From in between her and Haya, Hado pulled out a large sized plushy of an ice cream cone with a periwinkle blue scoop over the top and a smile embroidered onto the waffle cone. "Meet Mr. Soft Serve! He's my favorite plushy out of all the plushies I have."
"Uh, hello, Mr...Soft, Serve... Why do I feel like I've seen this plushy before?'
"Are you excited for the movie? We picked out a superhero one this time so it's gonna be really really fun. I've already seen it once but it's so funny and cool I like seeing it again and again when I can."
KRA-KOOM*
"Hrmmmmm..."
Midoriya looked outside of the windows before turning back to Hado who gave a cute pout and frown from the strike of lightning. "Not a fan of the rain Senpai?"
"I don't like rain." Hado answered, her finger gentle scratching over the small lick at the top of Mr. Soft Serve's scoop. "It makes everything so sad looking and gloomy, I really hope the weather doesn't last until morning. Not to mention it could knock the power out while we're watching the movie too, that's gonna suck if it does."
"Mmm, it's possible but I don't know if the rain is that strong to knock the power out just yet. Maybe if it gets stronger in a little bit but we'll see. Oh Senpai by the way, did you hear that they're thinking about bringing the Work Study program sometime soon? I heard it being talked about between Midnight and Hound Dog earlier today."
"Really?! Yayyy! Oh if that happens it's gonna be SOOOO exciting! Oh but, that's not really the case for you since...you know."
"Yeah. I know."
"Have any ideas as to where you wanna go if they bring back the program?"
"U-Umm, no not really." Midoriya answered. "Think I'd probably wait a little and see if an agency decides to invite me for the program. But as far as going out and asking a hero to accept me? I don't know yet."
"You could always try your luck in asking somebody like Ryukyu." Hado giggled. "She wouldn't mind having another."
"Hmph, thanks for the offer but I think I'll wait a little bit."

*ZWOooom*
Lights instantly switched to black and the television shut off as the students groaned at the power going out in the 3-A dorm, Snipe rising from the recliner on the side and making for the windows. The teacher peered out of the glass and hummed as he scanned the main building of U.A and the other dorms that he could see from the window before he turned back to the students. "Well, at least we ain't the only ones who had their lights snuffed out. Seems like the generators hit the main building as well as a few of the other dorms. Damn, well that's a shame."
"So now what?" Haya asked. "We just wait and hope that they get the power running again?"
"Eh I'd say that but, I ain't too sure when exactly the power's gonna decide to come visit us again so, as much as I hate to say it that might bring movie night to an end for tonight. Which leaves me with a problem, or, two of them." Snipe pointed to both Midoriya and Togata seated in their bean bags. "I WOULD send both of y'all back to your dorms since curfew's just about coming around the corner. But erm, giving the minor circumstances of tonight's weather-"
KRA-KOOM*
"...yeahhhhh, I ain't sending you through that rain. Looks like you two boys will have to hunker down here for tonight."
"Is something like that fine Sensei?" Midoriya asked. "I don't have any problem with going through the rain again, really."
"UHHH, YEAH son I ain't making you go back through that storm again. Much rather prefer if Aizawa didn't get on me about sending a calf of his through that kinda hell. You'll be staying here tonight ain't no worry, Togata's done it plenty of times before."
"Yeah I stay in Tamaki's room whenever I stay over, it's cool." Togata commented. "We mostly just play games until it gets really early in the morning, but we can't do that though cause of the power going out. Bummer."
"Well in any case I'll get you some blankets and pillows for you to crash out here on the couch. I expect y'all to not bother him now-"
"Hey hey wait a second!" Hado chimed. "I don't mind having Midoriya sleep in my room. It'd be like having a sleepover!"
"...huh?"
"Umm, I don't know about that one ma'am. I trust you Hado I really do but, you know how I feel about a guy and girl sleeping in the same room in this dorm. I don't want no tricks happening to the point where a treat's given."
"Awwww come on? Pleeeease? I've been REALLY wanting to show Midoriya this animated series that we talked about before it'll be super fun. I pinky promise that we're not gonna do ANYTHING mischievous or sneaky. Pinky winky promise."
"Huhhhh...well, alright then. If you're alright with the idea then, I trust you Hado. He can stay in your room for tonight."
"Yayyy!"
"HUH?!"
