"Hey look Yuyu look." Hado requested as she twisted around in her desk with notebook in her grasp, spreading the two pages open for her friend to see a not-so-detailed face of Midoriya. Aside from the missing pair of freckles, the horrible nose that looked like a pylon, and a jawline so sharp it can cut through diamond, the only manner in which Haya was even able to determine it was the first year was because of how messy the hairstyle was. And even then the hair was so chunky and stiff it made a bowl of chili look as watered down as possible. "I managed to color in one of Midoriya's tufts without going outside the lines! Yayyy! Didn't it turn out great?"

"Cool, you've colored one of his messy little tufts out of the infinite number of them." Haya commented. "What progress. You've been keeping your nose stuck on that drawing a lot huh?"

"Yeah yeah! It's REALLY fun to try and draw people. You know, before I never really took into account the kind of different features people have compared to each other. But now that I've started to like drawing a lot? It's SO cool! Like freckles and chubby cheeks and jawlines! Now I can see why some people like drawing comic books and mangas."

"Well those people actually have a skill for it and uh, not to be rude but you might wanna hang around with the basics for a while before going with the big dogs heh. Cause that nose definitely needs some work, I'll tell you that. Hey you know, I've been meaning to ask you something that's been stuck on my mind for a little bit."

"Sure what's up?"

"What do you think Midoriya sees you as? You know, if you were to put yourself in his shoes?"

"Midoriya? Ummm..." Hado hummed while she gently patted the surface of her notebook like a drum. "I think he sees me as a friend, or at least I would hope so. I dunno I'm not really good at this 'look from another perspective' sort of thing heh, it's really hard. Why?"

"I dunno I think uh, I think there might be a little funny something that's going on with him." Haya replied. "Though I might just be overthinking it. Eh but then again considering who it is maybe I'm not."

"I don't get it."

"Let's go back to movie night. When Midoriya first got there, the first person that he spoke to after Snipe introduced him was me, but that's not the point. It was right when YOU bounced your way up to him that a giant neon sign practically light up in his body saying that maybe there's something more to what he thinks about you. You might not notice it because you're practically the living embodiment of what it means to be a glowing bouncy bomb but when he saw you making your way up to him and you got real close? He practically lit up like a giant freaking star it was SO obvious."

"Sooooo?"

"Sooooo, I'm just saying that maybe, juuuuuust maybe if I'm not overthinking about this sort of thing, maybe Midoriya doesn't see you as just a friend to him. Maybe, there's something more for what he thinks about you Nejire. I mean it could be somewhat probable that he has some kind of feelings for you."

Hado quirked her eyebrows. "Really?"

Haya shrugged. "Hey like I said MAAAAAYBE, don't quote me on everything and anything that I say here. I'm just noting stuff that I've seen with my own eyeballs nothing more than that. But I've been around you long enough Nejire to know what a guy looks and acts like whenever they like you even if it's subtle. And, believe me, I think Midoriya might have a little bit of a liking to you. But I could be wrong."

"Hmm..."

"What's the matter you seem a bit gloomy now."

"Well, I'm not really sure how I should feel about this kind of implication. You've known this in the past Yuyu I'm not really interested in dating right about now, it just seems so complicated when you add it with being a hero and having school to get through. That's why I've turned down all the other guys who have come up to me saying that they like me and stuff, not because I didn't see them as compatible or anything it's just, I'm not yet ready to get into something like that. I mean, I'm not saying that this is going to lead into a relationship but you get what I mean with the whole feeling thing and all.

Honestly, I'm kinda hoping that your assumption about Midoriya having feelings for me is wrong. I like spending time with Midoriya he's really fun and nice and smart and does stuff sometimes that makes him funny, I like being able to spend time with him in the library and continue our sessions of improving on my drawings. If he does have feelings for me, then, I'd be worried because I don't want him to feel like I'm letting him on or anything. And if I tell him upfront I'm not interested in being something more then, things would be a little awkward between us. I don't wanna lose him as a friend he's...special, in his own kind of special way...if that makes sense."

Haya reached forward and gently patted Hado's left shoulder. "Then it might be best to just give him a little friendly reminder, you know? Tell him that you see him as a friend and would like to continue being friends if he would allow it. If he does then that's great, you two can keep being friends. But if he doesn't, then..."

Hado sighed. "I know."

BRRRRING*

"You gonna be alright in telling him?"

Hado nodded as she didn't move for the first few moments after the final bell had rung, finally bending forward and picking up her backpack that she placed onto her lap. "Yeah. I'll be okay."

She would hope so at least.

Hado closed up her notebook and placed her utensils back inside the main compartment of her backpack as her classmates were already funneling out of the classroom and heading off for their afternoon hobbies. Once the zipper was shut on her backpack she waited for the last student in her row to pass by her before she stood and headed for the exit just like all the others, melting into the crowd of third years exiting from the classrooms.

Midoriya possibly having feelings for the third year? That was a bit of a shame if she's being honest. When it came to having true, legitimate guy friends Togata and Amajiki were the only two she's managed to befriend that didn't want something more with her. Was she placing blame on the first year for having a liking to her? No of course not, she wouldn't dream or dare to call somebody a fool for something that happens naturally to them. But in the case of Midoriya who she's had a real fun time hanging out with over the past week and so, it hurts a little bit to think that could all come to an end if she takes his feelings into her palm and crumples them up like a paper ball. Not being able to spend their time in the library together would make things seem very boring to her.

This isn't the first time Hado's been bummed about finding out a friend has taken a liking for something more, not even close. Togata and Amajiki were the only two who haven't proceeded to urge for something deeper in their friendship, whereas every other guy that she's made friends with have developed feelings sooner or later. What hurt her the most was the part where she had to confront the guy and declare how she felt for them, their faces of distraught and pain sewn into her memory like a patchwork rag. And now thinking that Midoriya has the potential to join that patchwork rag, it does worry her quite a lot about how this is going to turn out.

In any case she still had to do what Haya recommended her to do, which was to remind Midoriya that she sees them as friends and nothing more than friends. If it works out, which she's hoping it does, then she's got nothing to worry about. And if it doesn't well...she can't have everything. She just has to walk down these stairs and tell him to his face-

"Hey hey Hadooooooo!" Startling the third year by surprise with an arm looping around her neck was another third year, this one being a handful inches taller than her with slicked back black hair and purple eyes. A chiseled jawline, fit physique, all around a decent looking young man with some charm to him. "My girl what's up?"

"Uh, hello." Hado greeted, having no idea who this person was whatsoever. "Do I know you?"

"Nah, not yet you don't, but I figured after tonight maybe you and I will get to know each other on a more...close, level. If you know what I mean."

"Hey bro what are you doing just standing there?" Kaminari asked Midoriya who stood in the middle of student traffic at the platform between the second and third floors. "You playing statue or something?"

"O-Oh no I'm just waiting for a friend of mine to meet me here." Midoriya answered. "I'll see you back at the dorm later."

"Later dude."

Midoriya gripped the straps of his backpack as he waited patiently near the foot of the staircase while keeping his eye close on the students that were descending from the upper floors, waiting for the bright ball of periwinkle blue. Rounding the corner of the flight came Haya to which he smiled at, but furrowed his eyebrows slightly when Hado wasn't beside her or close by. Moving closer to the stairs he intercepted the third year at the foot and bowed shortly. "Hello Haya-senpai, where's Hado if you don't mind me asking?"

"She's not that far behind me last time I saw." Haya answered. "Have fun with that pylon of a nose she gave you heh, might as well stop traffic with it."

"U-Uh, ooookayyy?" The first year replied with slight confusion, returning his focus up the staircase in search for Hado. "Wonder what that was supposed to mean."

"So check it out right? Tonight there's gonna be a really big party that's gonna have a bunch of third years from other schools there, Shiketsu and Ketsubutsu included. Then after the party's done we're gonna spend the night in a nearby hotel that's all booked for us, and it's gonna be even crazier in there since they managed to get hook ups on the more mature stuff, if you're following what I'm saying. You down for it?"

"Ohhhhh. That sounds really fun, but I'm gonna have to pass unfortunately. I have somewhere to be right now so I'm really sorry I can't go with you, hopefully you find somebody else to take." Hado smiled as she took a step out towards the stairs. "Have fun-"

"WHOAWHOAWHOA whoa whoaaaaa let's not be too hasty in our decision here." The male interrupted as he quickly side stepped and placed himself in between Hado and the stairs to prevent her from going anywhere. "You didn't even give any kind of thought to it."

"I have, I pinky promise you I put some thought into my decision and it remains the same. I'm not interested in going to this party, so if you would please step out of my way, I'd like to get to my friend who's waiting for me."

"Eh-heh, I don't think you understand here."

"Hmmm..." Midoriya hummed as the number of students coming downstairs began to dwindle into the singles, having not spotted his third year friend in any of the numbers. He looked around in thought wondering if he had missed Hado coming downstairs, but given her color and brightness no way was that a possibility. "Where is she?"

"Look, for THREE YEARS I've been trying to gather the strength to ask you to spend time with me, and tonight is my biggest chance if there was ever an opportunity to get some. I REALLY want you to think about this here."

"I'm sorry, GET, some?" Hado repeated with an accusing tone. "What exactly was that supposed to mean?"

"U-UH, g-get some as in e-erm, get some time to have fun with you heh!" The male lied. "Y-You know, spending time at the beach and sinking our toes in the sand allll those things that friends do heh."

"Oh, and is this with or without the mature stuff? If you're following what I'M saying."

"..."

"Look, and please listen when I say this. I am not interested in joining you to this party that you're going to attend tonight. I'm not interested in going to the beach or a hotel, and I hope that you can find somebody who you can take in my place. So may you please get out of my way, my friend is waiting for me."

'Is that Hado I hear up there?' Midoriya thought with his head craned upwards as he ascended the flights of stairs, listening to the faint echoes of her voice that bounced off the walls. 'She sounds kinda angry, wonder who she's speaking to.'

"I am not going to ask again."

The third year glared against Hado's own for several moments until he stepped out of her way and opened up the path to the staircase. "Thank you very much. Have fun at your party."

Hado took one step down the staircase-

slap*

Until her right wrist was snatched and taken hostage.

"You know you're really not thinking about this." The student said, a much angrier and furious tone in his voice compared to his nonchalant and cool attitude earlier. "Are you you bimbo?"

"Hey-let go of me."

"For three fucking years I've been thinking about how I'd be able to get at somebody like you and if it wasn't for that fuckbag Togata always being around with you this would have happened a lot sooner."

"Let GO of me."

"After graduation who knows when I'll even be able to see you again so if there was ever a moment for me to take my chance I am NOT going to let you walk away from it."

"LET GO OF ME. NOW."

"What the-Hey!"

step step Step STEP*

"THINK ABOUT IT YOU BIG-TITTIED BITCH."

"LET GO!"

"Let go of her!" Rushing up the final stretch of stairs Midoriya rammed his body into the front of the third year's, causing him to release his grip on Hado and stagger backwards from the impact. "What are you doing?!"

"Who the fuck do you think YOU are?" The third year seethed while stepping up to Midoriya, looking straight down from the height difference between the two. "You her boyfriend or something?"

"Doesn't matter! Who do you think YOU are holding her like that?! When she says stop, STOP!"

"What in the hell is going on out here?" Snipe muttered to himself as he peeked out of his classroom with only his head. Turning to the sound of a commotion towards the right he spotted Midoriya, Hado and another third year all around the top of the stairs with the first year being a little close towards the edge. "Hey!"

"So you are huh?! You little shit you have NO idea what to even do with all of this!"

"I'm not her boyfriend but I know enough to NOT to grab her like that what is wrong with you?!"

"Fuck you!" The third year grabbed onto the front of Midoriya's shirt and began to jostle the first year around. "Don't you tell me what's wrong with me you little shit!"

"Y'all cut that out right now ya hear?!"

"YOU CAN'T EVER PUT YOUR HANDS ON HADO LIKE THAT YOU IDIOT!"

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"

In his anger the third year shoved Midoriya backwards and past the first and second step of the stairs, his feet missing to ground themselves on the step with his body sent tumbling back down.

"MIDORIYA!/OH SHIT!/NO!"

Down the staircase Midoriya went in a tumbling heap, his arms, back and legs slamming over the edges of the stairs and scraping the sides. His butt landed flat and hard against a step which caused his upper body to fall flat on his back, as well as his head that swung up in the air and slammed back down towards the bottom platform.

WHAM*

-

"Uuooooooghhhhhh..." Midoriya tiredly groaned, his eyelids equivalent to several hundred pounds of lead as he tried to open them up. Several long and exhausting blinks later he managed to open them just halfway, finding the ceiling to be a very familiar looking ceiling given the paneling of the lights and ceiling tiles. Shifting around on his body he recognized the soft touch of the infirmary covers and pillows underneath him as a throbbing ache was slamming into the back of his brain. "My heaaaaaaad."

"Oh thank goodness, you're awake." From his left came the sound of Hado's voice to which he rolled his head to, the third year seated in a chair that was close to his head beside the bed with her notebook open on her lap. "I was really worried there."

"Sen...pai...SENPAI!" Midoriya shot straight up into a seated position with wide eyes. "SENPAI! ARE YOU OKAY?! ARE YOU HURT WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT OTHER GUY DID HE HIT YOU OR- O-Ow!"

"Hey hey, just relax will ya?" Hado asked as she placed her notebook back into her backpack, rising from her seat and leaning forward to hold a hand against the back of his head. Midoriya grimaced as his head was slammed yet again by the throbbing ache of a massive pain, holding both of his hands against the sides and slightly crunching in. "You took a really big fall and hit the back of your head earlier don't stress too much. Here, just lie back down for now."

Her free hand was placed over Midoriya's chest as Hado gently assisted him into lowering his body back down onto the bed, her hand on the back of his head feeling much softer than any pillow he's come to know. "Huhhhhh, thank you."

"Hm, you're welcome. And as for me Midoriya, yes, I'm fine thanks to you hm-hm. After that guy pushed you down the stairs, I rushed to bring you over here to Recovery Girl's while Snipe dealt with the other third year. From what I've been told he's gotten into a lot of trouble for what he did to you, Snipe says he could even be arrested since you could have been a lot worse than this. Are you okay do you need me to get you anything?"

"No I'm, I'm fine I just need to stay here for a little bit. Are you okay though?"

"Y...Yeah I just, I just said that."

"O-Oh heh, sorry, headache's not really doing me any favors right now. Well in any case, I'm glad you're okay."

Midoriya rolled his head to the center of the pillow and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth as he attempted to ease the pain in his head. Opening his eyes again he was nearly startled out of his own skin when he found Hado leaning directly over her face with her eyes bulging big and wide, like an alien discovering a human for the first time. "...Senpai?"

"Are YOU okay?" Hado asked. "You just fell down a flight of stairs, had your head knock against the bottom that's taken you out cold for two hours now, and the first thing you're worried about is if I'M okay? You do know you could have ended up paralyzed with that kind of impact right? Or even DEAD?"

"You've been sitting there for two hours? You didn't have to wait for me to wake up."

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT."

"Well, when you didn't meet me down where we usually meet before we go to the library I was wondering if I had missed you on the way down or if you were doing something on the top floor so I came to look for you. As I was heading up the stairs I heard you speaking with somebody and it sounded like you were angry or arguing with the other person. So when I turned around the last flight and saw the guy holding onto you while you tried to get away from him, I just kind of moved on my own if I'm being honest when I ran up those stairs. I mean, I knew what I wanted to do by getting him away from you but, I think I may have taken a bit too aggressive of an approach with him.

Clearly you weren't comfortable with the guy holding onto you like that so, I just wanted to get him away from you. Yeah I took a tumble down the stairs and bumped my head but, as long as you managed to be okay in the end, I'm fine with that."

I mean it could be somewhat probable that Midoriya has some kind of feelings for you.

Hado has never felt more conflicted before the way she is now, torn between a decision that has brought her to a fork in the road. Originally she had intention of declaring to the first year the grounds of what they are to each other as friends and nothing more than that, yet for some reason something was blocking her from saying such a thing. Some funny kind of feeling that floated about her stomach hearing him be defensive about her. She felt bad that her issue led to him smacking the back of his head against a floor and he can best believe that she'll make it up to him later on down the line. But, for now, she could only look at him with big, curious eyes as she smiled at him with all the gratefulness in her heart for him being there when he was.

"Thank you, Midoriya." Hado beamed. "That's really sweet of you."

Midoriya gulped in his attempt to stifle the heart squeeze given by her smile. "U-Uh, sure heh. N-No problem."

"Hey hey you wanna see what I've done so far with the drawing I have of you?! I've managed to make A LOT of progress here here look look! I managed to color in one of the tufts on your hair, and-"

Maybe someday she'll address him on what is and what isn't going to be. But for the moment, she'll sit beside his bed as he lay in it while she showed off her progress of her drawing, all while thinking about that funny kind of feeling inside her stomach.
