SLAM*
"YES."
Haya stared Hado in the face from the nest of her forearms with a blank expression and two blinks. "I'm not really sure as to what you're saying yes to since you just turned around and slammed your hands onto my desk Nejire, but okay."
"I've decided on what I wanna do with these...funnyfeelings of mine when it comes to Midoriya." Hado stated with her fists balled confidently on Haya's desk. "Yes. I think I do want something more between us."
"REALLY NOW? Okay now we're talking something interesting. That didn't take long what made you make up your mind so quickly?"
"Well, I just did what you told me to do when he and I went to the candy store a few days ago. And honestly, I think there is enough for me to wanna try for something more between us. He's really nice and friendly, I have a lot of fun when I'm around him I mean I have fun with Tamaki and Mirio too but...this is different than when I'm with those two. I feel so, fluttery. So warm and fuzzy and, all kinds of good stuff when I'm with Midoriya. I know I said that I'm not really focused on relationships since I'm still in high school but, I dunno maybe trying one out now wouldn't be so bad if it's with the right person. And I think Midoriya might be that right person."
"Have you told any of the guys about this?"
"Should I?" Hado asked. "I was wondering on whether or not I should tell any of them about this but I'm kinda on the fence about that."
"Eh it's one of those if you do you do if you don't you don't kind of things." Haya said. "I'm sure neither of them would hate you if you told them. So, got any plans on how you wanna make this thing go further between the two of you?"
"Ummm...I don't know, actually. I was hoping that maybe you'd be able to help me? I'm not really that great with this kind of stuff."
"Hmmmmm...Well if I know romcom mangas like I think I know romcom mangas the next step would be to...see if he has a liking to you they way you do with him. I know I said before that I have a hunch he might like you but having solid confirmation is a lot better than having a hunch, and I think I know just how to get that confirmation. Check it."
BRRRRRING*
With the final bell ringing for the day students began funneling out of their classrooms and into the hallway to exit from the school building, conversation overpowering the once peacefully silent corridors with plans of what students were planning on doing. From one such classroom came Midoriya who quickly made his way through the oncoming crowd so that he may stick to the windows opposite of where his classroom was, making it easier for him to meet Hado near the staircase without holding up anybody behind him. He shimmied along the window all the way up until the staircase was immediately on his left as students from the upper floors came bounding down the stairs with no room to move along the sides of. Patiently he waited with hands on the straps of his backpack as he kept his eyes circling around the upper stairs in lookout for the light blue colored hair that he enjoyed seeing so much.
That was a thought which somewhat worried him a bit due to what it could mean for he and Hado's friendship. By now his 'likeness for the type of girl that she is' has now bloomed into a soft crush that hardens whenever she's in his sight or is around him. His heart beats healthy and strong, his fingers get a sort of nervous twitch that comes back as excitement and elation, a tingle surges through the bones of his body that keeps him jittery and electrified. While the feelings and thoughts that course through him are pleasant and all it was the effect of what those same feelings might bring about that made him worried for them. He sincerely wishes for anything but the end of he and Hado's friendship together, though, he stands uncertain as to how long he'll manage to bottle these feelings before they spill forth one way or another. Whether accidental or on purpose, both ways sat uneasy in the image that he projected.
His worries about his own self were drowned in the color of blue as he spotted the top of Hado's hair in between the sea of third years making their way down the stairs, her large and curious eyes peeking through the shoulders of the two students in front of her. The two met each other's gaze and a smile easily made itself comfortable on Midoriya's face as the third year hopped off the final steps and branched away from the main stream of her classmates to join her junior off to the side. "Hey Senpai."
"Hey heyyyy!" Hado greeted gleefully. "How are youuuu?"
"I'm good very good, we did have a pretty strenuous battle training period today though so I'm a little bit more tired than usual heh. And you?"
"Oh you know, the usual."
"Well, let's go down to the library then-"
"A-A-AH h-hang on, Midoriya. H-Hang on."
"Hm?" He hummed curiously as Hado slightly turtled up with her head dipping a little bit down in between her shoulders. "Senpai?"
"U-Umm..." Hado nervously tapped her index fingers against each other with her eyes pointed off to the side, a sort of posture and behavior he didn't think he'd ever see from somebody such as her. "A-Are you, busy or planning on doing something at all today? A-Aside from us going to the library of course."
"Plans? Mmm, no not really I don't have anything planned for this afternoon. Why?"
"Do-...Do you wanna go do, s-something? Like, just the two of us?"
....
'AM I...BEING ASKED OUT ON A DATE?!'
Midoriya gulped. "S..S-Senpai, i-is this on the grounds of a d...da-...date?"
"No!" Hado exclaimed with a pink tint overwhelming her cheeks. "No of course not! It's just u-u-uhh, friends stuff! Y-You know regular friend stuff!"
"O-OH HEH yeah! O-Okay friend stuff then, s-sure. Well uh, I wouldn't be opposed to do something later today. What did you have in mind?"
"An amusement park, one that's closeby. You wanna go with me?"
"An amusement park, sure. Sounds good."
"Great." Hado smiled. "Great. I'll uh, text you the details and see you later then. Bye."
"Y-Yeah, bye." Midoriya waved Hado off on her departure as she was the first of the two to leave and make her way downstairs, leaving the first year by himself with the window to keep him company. Once she was well and gone it was here that the color of his face began to swirl into a pale tint of red, a hand clasping over his mouth with nervous beads of sweat streaming down his forehead.
'It's not a date, it's not a date Izuku it's not a date. It's not...It's...not...'
(Several Hours Later)
'AHHHHHHH IT'S A DATE!'
'NO!'
SLAP*
'It's NOT a date get a hold of yourself!'
'What else could it be?! Me and Hado coming to an amusement park with just the two of us? NOBODY ELSE?! It has to be a date there's no other way to put it.'
'Relax, are we really the kind of person Hado would go on a date with? If she isn't dating somebody like Togata whatchance do we have?'
'You're right, you're right. Well technically I'M right since I'm talking to myself here. Standing here, in front of an amusement park, talking to my own self SLAPPING my own self as a matter of fact. I'm okay, I'm okay. I might be a little bit crazy thinking about Hado and whether or not this is a date but, I'm okay. I'm okay...'
'...we're really in love aren't we.'
'Yeah we are.'
"Huhhhhh." Midoriya sighed with a palm dragging down his face. "Yeah...we really are."
The sound of roller coasters, attractions and carnival games all boomed behind Midoriya as he stood in front of an entrance to an amusement park with hands clasping over the top of his head, the discourse of his thoughts fighting with each other in his mind. Is it a date? Was it not? So many questions, so many questions to counter those questions and yet another set of questions to counter THOSE questions in return. Feelings are so confusing to him. He just hopes his All Might themed shirt with black jeans and usual red shoes are enough to suffice this if it is in fact a date. If it wasn't, no difference.
"Hi."
From behind Midoriya came the squeak of Hado's voice that he spun around to, his heart nearly punching through his chest with the beat strong in his eardrums. Coming to a halt in front of him the girl clung onto the strap of the tiny black bag against her left hip with the strap hanging off of her right shoulder, a gentle but slightly nervous smile soothing to his soul. A dark red thin cardigan surrounded her upper body with the middle completely open to expose a blue and white vertically striped T-Shirt with the collar edging close to the top of her cleavage. Baby blue jeans were comfortable on her hips and legs with cute angelic white sneakers on her feet, the fingers of her right hand brushing a small bit of hair behind her same side ear.
"Thanks for coming along with me."
"H-Hi, Senpai." Midoriya gulped. "You uh...You look pretty."
"Thanks. You, um, you look good too."
"T-Thank you."
"Did you pay for your admission already?"
"Uh no actually, I was waiting for you to get here before going in. I've only been here like once and that was a long time ago when I was a little kid so, knowledge is a bit limited to say the least heh."
"Oh this place is really fun, it's one of those places that are especially fun to come to when you have big groups of people. But for today it'll just be us two which is perfect since it gives me a good opportunity to show you all the fun stuff. Come on let's go inside."
Midoriya stuck close to Hado as the two paid for their admissions and made their way past the entrance gates, funneling into the large main 'street' of the amusement park that branched off into a multitude of other routes. On each side of the 'street' lined an array of confections and carnival style foods such as the funnel cake, deep fried ice creams, shaved snow cones and cotton candy that are moldable to be the desired image of the consumer. A giant Endeavor mascot wandered on the left hand side of the 'street' as a Hawks mascot continuously bugged it by throwing tiny balls of cotton candy at the former, some of the balls sticking to mascot's giant head and aggravating them to the point of giving comedic chase.
"Whoaaa, it's a lot more vibrant and colorful than I remembered. If I'm remembering the right thing that is, my memory's pretty fuzzy about this place." Midoriya commented. "So what should we do first?"
"A-Actually, if you don't mind I kinda have to use the restroom first if I'm being honest." Hado chuckled. "I kinda got lost in time before coming here and the thought of using the bathroom before arriving is something I forgot to do."
"Oh it's okay no worries, I'll go look for a map in the meantime while you're busy."
Hado nodded before quickly dashing left towards a set of bathrooms as Midoriya continued on in search of a stand with a map of the amusement park. Making his way down the main 'street' of the park the boy was oblivious to the trio of Shiketsu third years still in their school uniforms sitting at a table on the opposite side of the 'street' with one of them having short purple hair, another having long red hair, and the other with two pink colored pigtails flowing behind their shoulders. It was the girl with short purple hair that noticed Midoriya by his lonesome before prodding the other girls by their shoulders and gesturing towards the boy.
"Hey, isn't that the first year from U.A that caused a lot of controversy with his Quirk?" The girl with purple hair asked. "The one that kept breaking his arms?"
"He IS, *GAAAASP*. Ooooooh." The girl with red hair chirped. "He's a lot cuter in person isn't he."
"And he's by himself too." The last girl noted. "At least from what I can see. Hey Shiori, weren't you chirping so much about him about how cute he is?"
"And I still stand by that." The girl with purple hair answered. "I mean just look at him, isn't he so cute with that messy hair of his? If he's here by himself with no girlfriend in sight, hm-hm well, don't mind if I do."
"Ooh here's the maps of the place." At last Midoriya stumbled across a stand of complimentary maps of the amusement park, taking one for himself and unfolding it to it's true size while remaining unaware of the approaching Shiketsu third year from behind. "Whoa this place is HUGE! A lot bigger than what you could see from the front entrance no doubt. I can't even imagine going through all of this within a single day my feet would be tired if I did."
"*AHEM*. Excuse me."
The boy turned to somebody clearing their throat behind him to grab his attention, being met with the sight of a Shiketsu student with purple hair and eyes with at least four inches on him in terms of height. She was very pretty he noted, her jeweled pupils locking contact with him and asserting a sort of dominance between the two. "Oh, hello. Am I in your way?"
"Oh no no not at all, if anything I'm glad that you are since it gives me the opportunity to chat with you." The Shiketsu student replied. "Sayyyy, you're that first year from U.A with that big strong Quirk aren't you? So scary and crazy."
"U-Uh, yes. That's me."
"Ahhhh see I knew I recognized this handsome face of yours anywhere, it's not hard to miss after all. By the way is your mom by any chance a baker?"
"My mom?" Midoriya asked as the third year chuckled while tracing a finger along the left side of his lower jaw. "U-Uh n-no my mom isn't a baker w-why do you ask?"
"Oh you know, just wondering." The girl answered. "Trying to figure out how she managed to bake up a cutie pie such as yourself hm-hm."
"O-Oh!"
Out from the women's restroom came Hado while drying her hands off over her thighs, her sights scanning left and right as she made her way up the 'street' in search for where Midoriya wandered off to. She frowned after moments of not being able to spot the first year, what with so many groups of people traveling to and from the vendors it made it difficult to catch even a glimpse through the constantly moving curtain for her friend. When she did manage to catch a glimpse of Midoriya she smiled at the sight of him and began making her way in his direction until she came to a cold stop in her tracks when the full image was unveiled to her. A girl, obviously flirting with him judging by her posture and the way she teased him with taps and touches of his face. The sight was uncomfortable, like the screeching of nails against a dry chalkboard.
A pit formed in her stomach, confusion swirling in the middle of her chest as the Shiketsu student placed her hand on his left shoulder. And after the very sight of that, her body moved without thinking.
"So, cute stuff, you here with a girlfriend or something?" The girl asked. "If not then I think you'll find that I'm more than happy to introduce you to a few friends of mine. We can have some fun here...well, and elsewhere too. If you know what I mean hm-hm."
"I-I u-uh..." Midoriya stammered. "I-I'm kinda, uh..."
"Aw what's the matter, cat got your tongue? It's alright now I've heard it's a tendency for me to make people nervous. Not that I do it on purpose or anything I'm just trying to make friends. You looking to make some new friends-"
"Hey!"
The two students turned to see the third that was Hado stomp her way up to the duo with her cheeks puffed like an angry pufferfish, unable to appear menacing or intimidating even if she tried to do so. All the way up the third year approached them as she wedged herself in between the two with her back facing Midoriya and her arms crossing in the path of the Shiketsu student who took a step back. "Who do you think you are putting your hands on my friend like that?! You're making him uncomfortable and I'd really appreciate if you didn't touch him so much!"
"Ohhhhh so you are here with a girlfriend." The Shiketsu student noted. "That's a shame. Well, if there's anything I hate it's wedging myself into a relationship like it's some kind of NTR manga, so I'm out of here."
The student turned to make her retreat back to her friends, but not without looking over her right shoulder to lock eyes with Hado who glared at her throughout the entire journey. 'Is that...Nejire-Chan? Ryukyu's sidekick? Huh, he really managed to bag himself quite the score didn't he. Lucky him.'
Hado mean mugged the back of the girl's head until she was well enough away from her, sighing to release the tension in her body as she uncrossed her arms and turned to her junior. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine it wasn't anything much." Midoriya smiled. "Thanks for that Senpai, she was a really touchy person heh."
"Hrmmmmm."
"Hado-senpai?"
"Why'd you let her get so, touchy feely with you like that weren't you uncomfortable about it? You could have said something to her."
"W-Well I-...I...Honestly I don't, really have a good answer as to why I didn't tell her to stop heh. Guess it slipped past my mind when it shouldn't have."
Hado pouted with her left cheek puffing out. "Well, next time just...just don't let it happen, okay? I don't...I don't like that."
thump-thump*
Midoriya gulped. "Y...Yeah. I'll keep that in mind."
The third year raised an uncertain eyebrow at him. "I promise...pinky promise."
Midoriya held his left pinky out in between them as Hado looked down at the pinky, then back up to him. Her angry charade would hold no substance as her cheek deflated and a smile took control of her face, her own left pinky reaching up to intersect with Midoriya's and intertwine with each other. "It's a pinky promise."
His face felt warm and butterflies fluttered about in his body as the two held their pinkies with each other for several long moments, the two being content with simply remaining where they stood as silly as it seems. That was until he remembered where they were and broke away to hold the map with both hands and display it for her. "I-I managed to get a map for us, or for me since you know more about this place than I do. Where should we start?"
"Hmmm...let's start, here. With the Hawks Bullet." Hado answered with a point to the center of the park. "It's a REALLY fast starter coaster and it sets the tone for everything to come so let's go there first."
"Okay then, lead the way Hado-senpai."
"Hado-senpai...H-Hey, Midoriya?"
"Hm?"
"Senpai is nice and all but...for today, maybe try Nejire when you're talking to me. Okay?"
THUMP-THUMP*
His face flushed pink. "S-Sure, o-okay then N...Nejire. I-In that case you can...you can call me Izuku, i-if you want."
THUMP-THUMP*
She smiled. "Okay then, Izuku. Let's get going."
