Chapter 1

Inside a fancy bedroom placed in a tower, a cute pink long haired girl was sleeping peacefully in her big bed until the sunlight of the morning decided to wake her up. Opening her eyes slowly, she looked outside and smiled to see the sun. 'Today I will summon my familiar.'

Her name was Louise Françoise Le Blanc De la Vallière, the third daughter of the Duke of De la Vallière and of his wife and famous war hero Karin. Her family was a famous noble and rich family, so just like other nobles they could use magic. Unfortunately, if her sisters and her parents were good at magic, it wasn't the same for Louise: countless were the times she failed to use a spell and caused an explosion, and because of that, she was called Louise the Zero at school.

In fact, she was currently in her second year at the Magic Academy of Tristain that trained nobles to ameliorate the use of their magic, but despite being very studious, she never managed to perform a spell well. Though, her sister Cattleya always encouraged her to never give up, as she was sure that she would be able to use magic properly one day.

'Cattleya-nee even told me that I will be able to meet a handsome boy. Hehe, I look forward to that.', she thought, blushing. Being a fan of romance, she always dreamed about meeting a cute boy to fall in love with, but she didn't like anyone at the academy; most of the noble boys mocked her for her failures with spells or looked down on other people often, which was something she never liked.

But the day in which each wizard would summon his/her personal familiar finally arrived, so she looked forward to summon a familiar to take care of and that would protect her. So she proceeded to change her nightgown with her uniform, wearing black tights, a black skirt, a white shirt and the school's mantle. She watched her reflection in the mirror, pouting at seeing her flat chest.

'Everyone mocks me for having no boobs, but I'm sure that my future lover will like me like this anyways.', she thought, blushing again. Taking her magical wand and her books, she left her room to go to the classroom for the transmutation lesson where the teacher would show how to create fake gold. During the way to the class, the pinkette heard some students spreading rumours about her as usual, but she had learned to ignore them long time ago.

Once she reached the classroom, she paid attention to the demonstration made by the teacher by taking notes while some students did the same or simply observed. One of them, a blonde boy named Guiche, wasn't following it for real. "This is how you can manage to turn something like earth in fake gold, everyone. Remember that this spell combines different elements between them, so do your best to combinate elements and to become Triangle or Square magicians.", told the teacher, smiling.

"But Sensei, Louise-san isn't even able to use a spell. She just causes explosions.", said a chubby guy with blonde hair whose name was Malicorne.

"Hey, be respectful of your classmates, Malicorne-kun! And the same goes for everyone else!", scolded him the teacher, getting worried about Louise. Some teachers knew the efforts put by her to study and be a diligent student, so they took her defenses whenever the others mocked her. In fact, the little girl smiled to thank the teacher, but in her mind she planned to amaze everyone by summoning a great familiar later.

In another world instead, precisely in a big Japanese city, a boy was sulking inside his bedroom while playing a videogame. He was wearing a blue and white sweatshirt and black trousers and his hair was black too while his eyes were sapphire blue. His name was Hiraga Saito, who was disappointed that the costs to repair his laptop were too high.

'I don't think that I must pay that much ro make it fix, so later I will go to search for another and less expensive shop. Meanwhile I will mope the floor with this annoying boss.', he thought, determined to defeat the giant boss on his rpg game. Being a common Japanese teenager, his interests were games, anime, manga, movies and girls, but he didn't have a girlfriend. Still, he got the sensation that he would meet a beautiful girl very soon.

He kept playing for some hours after defeating the boss, after which he took his laptop and went to wear his blue sneakers to leave to search for another shop as decided before. His parents weren't at home because they were working, so he simply left a note in the kitchen in the cade they returned before him. So he was quickly inside the center of his city now, looking for a shop by using Google Maps.

Though, at a certain point it happened something of unreal: a strange portal of energy like a videogame's one appeared in front of him, shocking him. His eyes couldn't believe to see something like that in real life, and despite he scratched them, the portal was still there. And instead of ignoring it, his curiosity brought him to touch the portal that dragged him inside, making him lose his laptop on the ground but the people paid attention just to that, as if they didn't see him disappear.

Inside the courtyard, after Louise did the summoning spell by using different words from the original text, an explosion followed that caused a big amount of dust as well, blocked by Colbert with a magic barrier. "Why does she cause explosions every time?", asked in annoyance Guiche.

"And what's with the different spell text?", said an attractive woman with red long hair and big breasts named Kirche, whose family was a rival of Louise's one.

A lot of complaints came from other students, but after the dust disappeared, their eyes widened at seeing a boy laying in the ground in front of Louise that was shocked as well. "W-what?! Did she summon a person?!"

"Seriously? I thought she wouldn't summon anything and instead she summoned a human."

"He looks like a commoner by looking at his clothes."

Those were the comments made by the students, who were still amazed like the pinkette by what happened. On the other hand, the black haired boy started to open his eyes, getting up and touching his head.

'W-what the heck happened? First I get dragged inside a portal and then my ears hear an explosion's soun-Huh?', he thought, getting shocked to meet a cute pink haired girl when his eyes fully opened, making her blush.

Saito looked around him and saw various people of his age wearing similar uniforms to the girl's one and some big medieval buildings. He couldn't believe it, but it looked like he got transported to another world, precisely in the location of a magic school.

Instead, Louise was looking at him all the time, continuing to blush. She was shocked like everyone else, but she couldn't believe to be so lucky. 'H-he's so handsome! I thought of summoning a griffon or another animal, but instead this gorgeous boy appeared.', she thought, not caring that he didn't look like a noble.

"Hey, are you ok?", she asked him, sitting in front of him. Saito heard her and blushed a bit at seeing her, though he looked unable to understand her.

"Hmm, this is the first time I see a student summon a person as familiar. But he looks unable to understand our language.", said Colbert, lifting his staff to launch a spell on the boy.

"Can you understand us now, young man?", he asked him afterwards.

"Y-yes, I can. What's happening? Why am I this-Are those a salamander and a winged dragon?!", asked Saito in total shock, noticing said creatures and others. He got more surprised when Louise took his hands in hers.

"You're at the Magic Academy of Tristain and I summoned you as my familiar. My name is Louise Françoise Le Blanc De la Vallière.", she told him, happy that he could understand them.

Her words caused him to remain stunned again; he got transferred to another world for real, one where magic was a real thing like fantasy creatures from a game. His brain had to still process everything yet, but he had to present himself to the girl at least.

"My name is Hiraga Saito, but call me just Saito. So we're inside a magic academy, huh?"

"Nice to meet you, Saito. Your name looks to be foreign, but I like it hehe.", she told him, giggling and still keeping his hands in hers.

"Pfft, Louise seems to like her familiar.", said Kirche mockingly, causing her to pout.

"Oh shut up, he's cuter than your salamander.", she said, suddenly hugging Saito's head to her chest. Blushing immediately, he didn't expect to be hugged like that by a cute girl, feeling a barely but still soft sensation on his head.

"Ahem, despite what happened, it's clear that Saito-kun has been summoned as your familiar, which means you have to to form the contract with him.", said Colbert, catching everyone's attention.

"Ehh? So I have to kiss him to form the contract?!", was Louise's reaction, blushing more.

"Huh?!", was Saito's instead.

'To have my first kiss with such a handsome boy… Even if it's to form the contract, I feel so lucky.', she thought, smiling.

"No way…Louise is going for it?"

"Does she like him for real?"

Those were the other students' reactions while observing the scene. Their eyes widened at seeing a bashful and smiling Louise getting up to lift her wand and recite the contract's formula before sitting down in front of a stunned and flushed Saito.

Cupping his face, she brought her lips to his, making them both blush more. 'I-I'm having my first kiss with a cute girl inside another world.', he thought, shocked but enjoying the kiss that lasted some seconds.

After that, the young girl detached her lips from his, keeping to smile. "I'm glad to have you as my familiar, Saito.", she told him happily. He was about to say something too, though a sudden burning sensation on his left hand stopped.

"Aaaargh! My hand!", he shouted, holding his left hand.

"S-Saito?! Colbert-sensei, what's happening?!", she immediately asked, greatly worried for the boy.

"The proof of the contract is getting written on his hand, so it's unfortunately a painful thing for him.", he explained, worried too.

Saito kept screaming for some minutes before losing consciousness due to the extreme pain, with Louise hugging him and trying to wake him up. The teacher proceeded to call a staff member to help her carry Saito to her room, noticing the runes on his left hand and remaining surprised: they were written in a different language from theirs, which made him curious about them. Meanwhile, each student was totally amazed by what happened after Louise's summoning spell, starting a chain of talks immediately.

Some hours later, the young man, that was laying on a bed, started to wake up, seeing the pinkette's face as first thing. "Saito! You finally woke up!"

"W-What happened?", he asked sluggishly.

"You lost consciousness because of the pain that the runes provoked to you. I-I'm sorry, I didn't know that forming a contract would have hurt you.", she told him, hugging his head again and crying.

"I-It's not your fault, don't worry.", he assured, blushing because she hugged him like that another time. Those words made the girl smile.

"Where are we, by the way?"

"We're inside my room because the teacher made a member of the school's kitchen help me to carry you here to make you rest on my bed. I'm so glad you're fine now.", she explained, still hugging.

"Oh, I see. Though, can you explain to me why am I in this other world?"

"Other world? Aren't you a cute boy from this world?"

"N-no, I'm from a dimension let's say where magic and dragons don't exist in real life. ", he replied, blushing because of the compliment.

"Really? That makes you curious! Tell me more about it please!"

"O-ok, but are you going to hug me all the time? Not that I have anything against it.", he asker her, sweatdropping. That made her stop hugging him reluctantly, touching her red cheeks.

"S-sorry, I was so happy that you're fine now."

Still blushing, the boy began to tell her about his world, saying how much different it was from the one he was now and that magic and creatures related to it were something that was only part of humans' imagination. Louise was listening to him with great attention, getting surprised by everything that he told her and smiling while looking at him.

"Wow, I didn't think it could exist a similar but different world from mine. Though, I' really happy to have you as my familiar, Saito."

"T-thank you, but what exactly is a familiar?"

"It's a creature, usually an animal or a creature with some powers, that follows the wizard and protects him for the rest of his life. That means we can stay always together, Saito!", she told him, taking his hands in hers again.

"A-ah, I see. But is it fine if it's a human being like me?"

"We have formed a contract earlier, so yes. Also, t-that was my first kiss."

"Ehh? I-it was mine too."

"R-really? That makes me happy. And since it's almost dinner time, we can go to eat together at the big hall for the students.", she told him, smiling and blushing.

The word "eat" made Saito's stomach growl, causing him to blush while the pink head giggled. Still worried about the pain he suffered earlier, she held his hand all the time they left her room, with both of them blushing while he admired every building of the academy and the two different moons, a pink one and a blue one, in the sky.

The two of them reached the big dining hall, getting the attention of every student and teacher present there. People started to talk about them with low voice, but Saito could hear words like "Louise the Zero", "commoner" or "boyfriend." That last one made him blush more while the first two made him wonder why the pinkette had such not nice nickname.

Louise didn't pay attention to their words and went to sit down with Saito in two free chairs, shocking everyone because they didn't expect the boy to sit at the table. "Eat all you want to, Saito.", told him the girl, smiling brightly at him.

"Sure, thank you.", he said, smiling and scratching the back of his head.

"Ara ara, you two are going steady already."

That voice was of Kirche, who was sittinh at the table too but in front of them. "What we do is not your business.", told her Louise, glaring at her.

"Umm, who are you?", asked the young man.

"Oh, I didn't present myself. My name is Kirche von Zerbst. Your name was Saito, right? Nice to meet you.", she told him, smiling.

Pouting, the pinkette hugged his arm, surprising him once again. "Don't you dare to flirt with him. He's my familiar."

"Relax fufu. He will be bored because of your chest after all.", said the redhead, making appear a tick mark on Louise's head.

"She's cute anyways. Don't be mean to her."

His words left everyone speechless, especially Louise that blushed while her eyes shined. So she hugged his arm and snuggled her face on his shoulder, making him blush.

"It seems your familiar is very protective of you. But are you sure you don't prefer this chest, handsome?", asked Kirche, lifting her breasts and making other boys smile and blush.

Saito blushed too, but he replied, "I-I'm here just to have dinner with Louise, so don't bother us, please."

Then again, he left everyone speechless: no boy never resisted to Kirche's charm and there it was someone that was immine to it somehow. Seeing him care for her so much made the pink head hug his arm more, and someone could say that some hearts were around her.

Frowning for what happened, Kirche said to a staff member of the academy to brinh her dinner to her room before leaving the dining hall. "Wow, Louise's familiar has guts."

"He prefers flat chested girls?"

"He's so kind despite being a commoner."

Those were the new rumours made by other students, with the young man sweatdropping and sighing before digging in his food. 'First I get transported in another world with magic and medieval things, I get kissed by this cute girl that seems to l-love me and now I have to deal with school's rumours inside a magic academy…All of this is so unreal and I wonder if I can go back to my world.', he thought, liking the soupe and the steaks brought by some waiters anyways.

Though, Louise suddenly cleaning his cheek with a napkin caught his attention. "You were dirty there hehe.", she told him, giggling.

Needless to say that he blushed because of that and forgot about going back to his world: he felt really lucky at the moment and continued to enjoy his dinner with smile on the face.

An hour later, both him and the girl were outside, sitting on the grass after eating quite enough. "Haha, the food was great! Thanks for bringing me there, Louise."

"I must thank you instead. You made me happy again when you replied like that to that vixen.", she told him, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"O-oh, I didn't like that she was making fun of you. Besides, I heard someone calling you The Zero; do the students mock you often?", he asked her, worried.

"I-I'm not good with magic and people make fun of how I cause explosions whenever I try to perform a spell. They also say that I have zero breasts and I'm too little, b-but I was glad when you called me cute.", she answered, clinging onto his arm again.

"I-I said just the truth. And-"

"Hey, you two!"

Turning around, they saw a young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes and with red ribbon behind her head. "Did you happen to see a blonde boy with purple trousers here around?", she asked them.

Looking at each other first, they shaked their heads and she sighed. "I see, thanks for the help.", she said before leaving.

"Who was she?", asked the boy to the pink head.

"Her name is Montmorency Margarita la Fère de Montmorency and she is in my class. I think she's searching for Guiche, her boyfriend. He's a casanova that flirts with other women and he's not handsome like you."

Being called handsome by her again made him blush, but then his eyes noticed something in the distance: a blonde boy speaking with a brunette with a brown cape. "Louise, is that the guy Montmorency is searching for?", he asked, pointing there and sweatdropping.

Looking where he indicated, the girl frowned. "I knew it, he's being unloyal to her again. Huh? Saito, where are you going?"

The black haired boy walked towards Guiche and the brunette, who blushed while getting asked by the blonde if he could taste her homemade soufflè. Though, she yelped while Louise was shocked when she saw Saito hit Guiche with a punch on the head.

"Ow! Who-You're Louise's familiar! Why did you hit me, commoner?!"

"And why are you with another girl instead of your girlfriend? She's looking for you.", retorted the blue eyes boy, crossing his arms.

"W-what?!"

The new voice that appeared was Montmorency's, who was glaring at the blonde boy. "You were with another girl, Guiche?!"

"How could you, Guiche-sama?! You told me you didn't have a girlfriend yet."

Louise reached the group too and watched how Montmorency slapped Guiche when he tried to explain himself before going away like the other girl did. "You commoner...Because of you two maidens cried. You should apologize to me right now."

"You made them cry, idiot. And you can forget that I apologize.", retorted Saito, glaring at him while the pinkette gasped.

"Is that so? Then I challenge you to an official duel tomorrow in Vesti field for disrespecting a noble like me. Or do you refuse because you have fear?"

"A duel? Fine, I accept."

"Very well, I will make you regret your actions.", said Guiche, leaving while nursing the point he was hit on the head.

"Saito, are you crazy?! You didn't have to accept! Guiche is a wizard good at earth magic, he will hurt you!", said Louise, clinging onto her familiar with a worried expression.

"He's pissed me off with his attitude and I don't like it when someone is unloyal to his girlfriend.", he said, blushing because of her gesture.

"B-but I don't want you to get hurt. Y-you're my familiar.", she told him, starting to cry. Still blushing, he was amazed by how much she worried for him, so he hugged her and patted her head.

"Thank you for worrying for me, but I accepted also because I didn't like how everyone mocks you."

Widening her eyes at hearing that, a smile formed on her face: knowing that reason made her heart flutter, so she tightened her hug on him. "J-just promise me you won't die, ok?"

"I won't die, I promise you."

"I'm happy to hear it. Let's go back to my room, since it's late."

So they went back to her room, with him asking where he could sleep. To his shock and his embarrassment, she told him they could sleep together in her bed, assuring him that he didn't have to worry because he was her familiar. He even blushed more when she bashfully asked him to help her change her clothes.

"W-what?!"

"Y-you don't like my body?", she asked him, seeming sad.

"No, it's not like that. It's just embarrassing."

"I-It's ok if it's you who sees me naked.", she told him.

'Did I hear correctly? Is it ok if I see her naked? Maybe I could-No! I must help her with just changing clothes!', he thought, forgetting some lascivious idea popped up in his mind.

"Alright, I will help you. Close your eyes so you will be less embarrassed.", he said, still blushing.

Nodding, she closed her eyes, getting more flustered when he started to take her clothes off her, albeit shyly. She was really embarassed to be undressed by him, moaning when he removed her skirt.

"Ah, sorry!"

"D-don't be, I was just surprised.", she assured him, smiling. He blushed more because it felt like they were lovers instead of a wizard and her familiar.

Eventually he finished to help her to wear her nightgown, despite he was still flushed. Laying down on her bed, he got flustered when she cuddled with him, but she assured him that it felt nice. Although she said that, he could feel her barely soft chest touching him; was he really just a familiar for her? It looked more like she was head over heels for him.

Of course he didn't have anything against such possibility: if he could have a sweet girlfriend that cared so much for him, it was a total win. So he just closed his eyes and slept while cuddling with her.

The following day, every student in the academy was inside Vesti field during lunch break, as everyone wanted to watch the duel. Saito and Guiche were facing each other while Louise was standing next to familiar.

"You're still in time to withdraw and apologize to me, commoner.", said the blonde.

"The name's Saito, asshole. And no, I don't want to withdraw. You pissed me off when you cheated on your girlfriend, so I will make you apologize to her after beating you.", said Saito defiantly, making some girls blush including Louise of course. Even Montmorency was flushed.

"Louise, stand back.", he told her, with her nodding while saying to be careful.

"Alright, let's begin."

Once he said that, Guiche used something like a rose wand to generate a warrior from the ground with a petal, leaving the black haired boy stunned.

"This is my brass golem made with earth magic. Attack him!"

Saito didn't have time to be amazed anymore that he received a punch in his gut by the golem, which made him fall away in pain. "Saito!", shouted Louise in worry.

"D-damn, that thing's punch is hard as metal.", he said, holding his stomach.

"Did you reconsider the choice of giving up now?", asked Guiche, smirking.

"Like hell. I said that I will make you apologize to her, so I will beat you.", he said, clenching his fists and showing a determined expression.

The other students said things like he was nuts to challenge a wizard, except Louise and Montmorency that were moved by his words. When the golem attacked him again, Saito dodged and ran towards Guiche to bit him, but suddenly, another golem hit him in the face.

"I can create more than one brass golem.", said the two timer mage, creating other 2 golems.

"Y-you cheater, it's not a fair fight if you use magic that much."

"For mages it's natural using magic in duels. You commoners can't do that, so don't complain.", retorted Guiche, shrugging his shoulders.

"S-Saito, give up. You will get killed like this!", told him Louise on the verge of crying.

"D-Didn't I tell you yesterday? I decided to fight because I hated how everyone speaks ill of you too.", he told her, grinning despite the awful pain.

The young girl's cheeks got red when he said that reason again, but she was horrified when she saw the other golems starting to hit him again. Even the staff members of the academy, which was composed of commoners, didn't like seeing that, especially a black haired girl dressed as a maid.

'Damn it, these golems are too hard to attack and when they hit me. I feel like my bones are getting crushed.', he thought, falling on the ground again after being hit by the club of a golem with some blood coming out of his mouth and various bruises on his body.

"I suggest you to give up, but if you're willing to continue, I will give you a sword to protect yourself.", said Guiche, creating a green sword and throwing towards him.

"D-don't take it, Saito! Please stop, Guiche! He will apologize, so just-"

"No.", interrupted her Saito. A crying Louise saw him getting up in pain and bleeding from the ground, taking the sword with his left hand.

"I w-won't give up and I won't apologize to that jerk. I will make him pay for mocking you and two-timing his girlfriend!", he declared, glaring at the blonde that got unnerved.

"You insolent…Golem 1, attack him!"

The first golem charged against Saito with a lance this time, but the boy didn't dodge: he tightened the hold on the sword with his left hand, whose runes started to glow blue and were noticed by an amazed Colbert. Swinging it, he cut the golem in half, shocking his opponent and everyone else.

"M-my golem has been destroyed?!"

"I suddenly feel stronger and my wounds don't hurt very much now. Prepare yourself, asshole!", said Saito, charging forward. Inr response, Guiche sent the other golems and created others to attack, but he was stunned again when he saw how Saito destroyed them with the sword and dodged their attacks with great speed.

Louise and the rest of the students plus the teachers and the stafd couldn't believe to see a person without magic destroy brass golems like that, with the pinkette along Montmorency and Kirche finding him cool. Even a light blue haired girl with glasses and a wooden staff glanced at his abilities.

And after cutting another golem in half, Saito jumped and landed in front of Guiche, making him fall back with an expression filled of fear. "What are you gonna do now?", he threatened him, glaring.

"I-I give up, you win. I will apologize to Montmorency and I'm sorry for speaking ill of Louise too.", said the blonde, not wanting to get hurt by the sword.

"G-Guiche lost against a commoner?!"

"Louise's familiar annihilated all those golems!"

"H-he's cool.", were the various comments made by the students, with some of them together the kitchen staff's members applauding for Saito.

"Saito!"

His supposed girlfriend ran towards and hugged him, causing him to lose the sword and fall down with her on top of him. "T-thank goodness you're alive! I don't want to see you get hurt like that! I-I was scared that you would have died!", she told him, crying on his chest.

"I promised you I won't die haha. Still, you shouldn't jump and hug him like this; my body is all hurt.", he told her, feeling again the pain of his wounds.

"Wow, Louise is being lovey-dovey with her familiar in public!"

"I knew it! They became a couple after she summoned him!"

Hearing those sentences made both of them blush, but Louise pouted and exclaimed, "I can be clingy with him how much I want!"

So she kept hugging him while staying on top of him, despite he was flushed because of their position. Meanwhile, Guiche apologized to Montmorency for what he did, but she looked at Saito and blushed.

'He fought because he was angry for ehat Guiche did to me…I w-will thank him the soonest possible.', she thought, feeling somewhat jealous at seeing Louise clinging onto him.

'Awww, that manly aura…that aggressive attitude…Louise's familiar is so hot.', though instead Kirche, blushing while looking at the boy.

Colbert was instead still thinking about the runes the glowed on Saito's left hand, which he deduced were the reason behind his sudden superhuman strength and speed. In fact, he had decided to search in the books later what those runes stood for, but he was certain about a thing: Louise summoned a foreign and very interesting boy as her familiar that she loved already somehow.

Hey everyone, how are you? What you see is my first story for Zero no Tsukaima, as this was one of my first harem/romance/fantasy anime that I watched years ago and I wondered what happened if Louise was different in comparison to canon. In fact, and we must her sister Cattleya, she grew up to be respectful of others and not snobbish and prideful like all the nobles, dreaming to meet a handsome boy to fall in love with.

It looks she found said person in Saito, who at first shocked for being in another world and then getting kissed by her, cpild consider himself already lucky haha. I made him more serious compared to canon, especially when it comes to love; he wanted to make Guiche pay for two-timing Montmorency, but he wanted also show that his "supposed girlfriend" is not a failure.

This story will be a harem one ofc, and yes, Montmorency will be part of it as you can imagine. I planned to have Guiche be with someone else instead. Anyways, the reason I started this story was my intention to write for more anime of my liking, and don't worry, I won't abandon fics as stated various times.

Anyways, what's going to happen next? Will Saito wake up from his recovery with Louise clinging onto him perhaps? Stay tuned to find out.
