Setting 1 the Utopian Castle
It has been three weeks since Amethyst and Shadow got married. All is well during the day but at night their smeets are plagued by nightmares, because of the trauma that Esquire put their family through. Let us go back to that first night when Jasper found out about his sister's problems and they found out about him during a smeetsitting night run by Rig.
-Rig- (He heard the screaming and crying and said.) Not on my payroll. (He turned the tv up louder and went back to watching.
Yes, clearly Rig is a good smeetsitter. Not! Anyway let us go to Jasper's room and see what happens. Also it is-
1 week after the wedding.
-Jasper- (He was tossing and turning in his sleep.) No! No- Stay away! (Onix bit his arm.) Ahh!
(He woke up in pain clutching his arm.) Onix, why did you do that?
-Onix- Sorry master, but you did not respond to me shaking you and I had to wake you up somehow. Was it another bad dream about the incident?
-Jasper- Yes. (He said hugging himself.)
-Onix- You can't go on like this master. Please, tell your parents.
-Jasper- No Onix I can't. I am the oldest. I have to be strong and face these dreams like a proud lone wolf.
-Onix- But, Master, look what you did to your night stand. (He pointed to what was left of Jasper's night stand. There was a puddle.)
-Jasper- I did that? How?
-Onix- By turning the solid into a liquid.
-Jasper- That is… fascinating. I wonder what else I can change.
-Onix- (He flew right up to Jasper's face and grabbed it.) Focus Master, it is time for you to deal with the problem instead of hiding it. Before things get worse and…
-Jade- (She was making portals and flying in her sleep.) Ahh! No- Stay away. (She flew into another portal.)
-Onix- Was that?
-Jade- (She came out of her portal and her wings came off. Gravity took over and she fell.) Daddy help!
-Jasper- No! (He tried to catch her but she fell into another portal above his head.) Where did she go?
-Onix- How should I know?
-Lapis- (She walked into the room rubbing her eye with one hand and holding a plushie of a chimera in the other.) Hey Jasper, can I sleep with you?
-Jade- (She came out of another portal and ran right into Lapis.) No please…
-Lapis-Oof-
-Jasper- Nice one Lapis, you caught her.
-Lapis- Caught who?
-Jade- (She woke up.) Oh my head… Huh? Lapis, you are alive! (She hugged her sister.) Oh thank the dragons it was just a bad dream.
-Lapis- You had a bad dream?
-Jade Yes it was horrible. Esquire turned mom into Scourge again and she killed you right in front of me! (She started crying.)
-Lapis- Oh no Jade- I am so sorry. That must have been awful.
-Jade- It was… Hey, what am I doing in Jasper's room?
-Lapis- Well…
-Onix- You portaled in here screaming about your nightmares and ran into Lapis
-Jade- Oh dear. I am so sorry, Lapis. Did I hurt you?
-Lapis- No- you didn't, it's just. I had a bad dream too! Oh Jade, I was so scared! Hold me. (She cried in her sister's arms.)
-Jade- Don't worry sis I got you.
-Onix- You see Master, you are not alone. Your sisters are having nightmares just like you.
-Jasper- Onix, don't tell them!
-Onix- Sorry, but if you won't let me tell your parents then I am going to tell your sisters. Now talk it out!
-Jade- You've been having nightmares too and you're hiding it from mom and dad. Ooo you is going to get it.
-Jasper- Me! What about you miss portal here and there. You are doing it too!
-Jade- So? I did not know I was portaling anywhere. I usually wake up in my bed. Ahh what if I have been sleep portalling this whole time? What do I do?
-Onix- At least you are not turning your night stand into liquid goo.
-Jasper- Not helping.
-Jade- you puddled your night stand, Jasper? Hahaha that is so funny. Hahaha!
-Jasper- Don't you laugh, at me and don't tell mom.
-Jade- Why not? This happened to her and dad. We have to before we get worse.
-Lapis- No then Grandpa Zim will find out I stole from him.
-Jasper & Jade- You did What!
-Lapis- What do you want from me the first night I zapped my wall in my sleep. I had to steal the anti-power bracelets he had confiscated from the villains. Then repair the wall and…
-Jasper- Wait, you have anti-power bracelets, as in plural.
-Lapis- Yes?
-Jasper- Can I have one? (He said putting out his hand.)
-Jade- (She smacked it away.) Jasper! Don't encourage her, stealing is wrong!
-Jasper- This is an emergency. We have to keep the secret and keep ourselves safe.
-Jade- But Jasper, what if we have what mom and dad had. I don't want to become possessed, evil, or dead.
-Jasper- You won't because we don't have a curse.
-Jade- How do you know!
-Lapis- Stop! I hate it when you guys fight! What if Rig hears you?
-Jasper- He won't, I made my room soundproof. Not that he is much of a smeetsitter anyway.
-Jade- How did you make your room soundproof?
-Jasper- With science.
-Jade- That is your answer to everything.
-Lapis- (She covered their mouths.) Can we please stop arguing and just come to a decision.
-Jade- Fine, Fine, let's vote. All those in favor of telling mom and dad the truth raise your hands. (She raised her hand and so did Onix.) All those opposed?
-Lapis and Jasper- NOo!
-Jade- But Lapis, you are supposed to vote with Onix and I.
-Lapis- No grandpa Zim said "Face monsters, show no fear. I can't disappoint him."
-Jasper- Ok, we will flip a coin. Tails we tell the truth, heads we lie and wear bracelets.
-Lapis- Deal.
-Jade- Deal but not with that coin. It's two headed. (She said snatching it.)
-Jasper- I am appalled that you would even insinuate that I would do such a thing. How can you… (Jade pulled the two coins apart from the gum that was holding them together.) I don't know how that got there.
-Jade- Mhmm.. (She flipped it and caught it. She showed it.)
-Jasper- Heads! You lose, me and Lapis win.
-Jade- No! Two out of three.
-Lapis- But, Jade, you agreed.
-Jasper- She's got you there sis.
-Jade- Fine, Lapis give us the bracelets.
-Lapis- (She pulled out the bracelets, from inside her doll.) Ok. (She gave them to her siblings.)
-Jade- You put them inside Leo. Why?
-Lapis- So Zim wouldn't find them.
-Jade- Ok. I think this is very wrong, but a deal is a deal. (She put the bracelet on.)
-Jasper- Brilliant (He put his bracelet on.) I will go make your rooms soundproof too. Then we can go back to bed.
-Lapis- No! I don't want to go to bed alone.
-Jade- Me neither.
-Jasper- Ok (he went outside into the hall and grabbed something from inside the closet.) Then let's have a sleepover. (He rolled three sleeping bags. They hugged him.)
-Lapis- Thank you Jasper.
-Jasper- Anything for you two. I love you.
-Jade and Lapis- We love you, too.
So the deal was struck. Their dreams kept getting worse. They got little sleep for 2 more weeks and it was showing.
Setting 2 Present day
We open this new scene in the kitchen of the Utopian castle.
-Shadow- (He was cooking waffles and alien spotted eggs.)
-Amethyst- Mmm… something smells good.
-Shadow- Good morning, Amethyst. Thought I would make you and the smeets something special.
-Amethyst- Yum! Thank you Shadow. I could use a good breakfast since work ran late last night. (She said as she sipped her coffee.) Speaking of the smeets, have you noticed that they have not been getting enough sleep lately?
-Shadow- Now that you mention it, Raoul said they fell asleep in class.
-Amethyst- I knew I was not imagining the literal bags under their eyes. I say we get to the bottom of this.
-Shadow- How would we do that?
-Amethyst- Butter them up, then interrogate them!
-Shadow- Come again?
-Amethyst- You heard me. They will have the best day of their lives, then this afternoon at lunch we find out what they are hiding.
-Shadow- Count me in. I could take them fishing and we could have a fish fry for lunch. Think you will get off work in time to intact the plan?
-Amethyst- I will make time, no matter what. I can't stand seeing our smeets like this and… (Her antenna perched up.) Shh, here they come.
-Jade- Yumm breakfast smells great Dad!
-Jasper- (He yawned.) Mom, can you make me some tea?
-Amethyst- Why do you need tea Jasper? Are you having trouble staying awake?
-Jasper- No, I just love the taste. (He laughed awkwardly and Onix rolled his eyes.)
-Amethyst- Ok, what kind do you want?
-Jasper- Lavender, please.
-Lapis- Can I have some too?
-Amethyst- Of course. Jade, do you want some too?
-Jade- …Maybe.
-Amethyst- (She made the tea. Then levitated the cups filled with tea to her smeets and they began to drink.) So, guess what smeets? your dad is going to take you fishing today. (She levitated their plates to each of them.)
-Jade- I am going to catch the biggest fish! (She said pouring syrup on Her waffles)
-Jasper- Not if I catch it first.
-Jade- Haha…
-Jasper- And what is so funny?
-Jade- Last time dad took us fishing you caught a boot. How do you expect to catch the biggest this time? What are you going to catch this time the rest of the suit. (She said, putting whipped cream and syrup on her waffles.)
-Jasper- I will show you up. Today, we will have a contest and whoever loses has to do the dishes for a week. (He puts his hand down and Jade puts her hand over it.)
-Jade- Deal, I look forward to mopping the floor with you.
-Lapis- (She put her hand on the hand deal.) I want to play too! If that is ok with you guys?
-Jasper- Of course you can Lapis. The fish on Matrixdeamana better watch out for all of us.
-Lapis- Mom, are you coming? (She said and then took a bite of her eggs.)
-Amethyst- (She had just finished her waffles and was about to eat her egg when Lapis asked the question.) Sorry sweety, I have to work today. I will be there for the fish fry lunch no matter what.
-The Smeets- Yah!
-Kierra- (She walked in carrying a clipboard.) Master, are you ready to get going?
-Amethyst- Coming Kierra. (She hugged her smeets good bye.) I love you four, be good. (She walked over to Shadow and kissed him.) Shadow- you, Max, and Sparks take good care of our smeets.
-Shadow- I will. You can count on me.
-Amethyst- Bye (She grabbed Kierra and teleported them away.)
-Shadow- Guess we should get going too.
-Diva- Wait, I want to come! I love swimming. (She said carrying an innertube and wearing sun glasses.)
-Lapis- Sure you can come, Diva, the more the merrier.
Setting 3 Amethyst office
Amethyst and Kierra arrive in the office.
-Amethyst- Rig!
-Rig- What?! I am right here, you don't have to yell. (He was sitting with his legs on the desk reading the paper.)
-Amethyst- What do I have to do today?
-Rig- Those two piles of paperwork.
-Amethyst- Easy, I will get through these quickly. (She got to work.)
-Kierra- I hope that does not mean that you intend to use your superspeedy-reading to rush through your duties, Master.
-Amethyst- Oh come on Kierra you know my super speed reading is the fastest way to get the paperwork done. (She said already doing it.)
-Kierra- It may be the fastest but that does not mean I approve of it.
-Rig- Is there anything you approve of, Miss grumpy gus?
-Kierra- Well I approve of reading great books and not sitting up with my muddy feet on the desk like some people. (She said, shoving Rig's feet off the desk.)
-Rig- Hey…
-Kierra- Hey is for horses or barns which is where you must have grown up in. If you think that's ok.
-Amethyst- If you two are going to argue, do it somewhere else. I have work to do.
-Kierra- Fine. I have a chapter to finish in my Bloodmarked book anyway. (She left the room.)
-Rig- I'm hungry…
-Amethyst- Rig, you had better not be leaving to go bug Kierra.
-Rig- No, of course not. (He left.)
-Amethyst- (She rolled her eyes.) I hope the smeets and Shadow are having fun.
Setting 4 On the boat.
Shadow, Diva, Max, Sparks, and the smeets were walking up to his boat.
-Shadow- There she is smeets.
-Jasper- I am going to catch the biggest fish Jade, just you wait.
-Shadow- (He and the smeets stepped on to the boat,) Ahoy Louis! (He waved to Louis who was at the helm.) And… Rachel? Will, twins and Arthur? What are you guys doing here?
-Will- (That is right- Will's whole family was there on the boat. Will was dancing and the girls were following his moves.) Teaching the girls how to dance. (He said as they plie.)
-Shadow- But Rachel, shouldn't you be at home, ruling the Queendom?
-Rachel- It is my day off. (She said with Arthur on her lap.) Besides, Smulder is watching the Queendom like she does every weekend. The better question is what are you all doing here?
-Shadow- It is my boat and if you must know- me and Amethyst wanted the smeets to have a fun fishing trip.
-Louis- Oh, in that case should I cast off your highness?
-Shadow- Of course Louis, this is going to be a fun family trip.
-Louis- Right away Sirer. (They cast off.)
-Jade- Yeah! Auntie Rachel, I am so glad you are here to watch my triumph.
-Rachel- What do you mean?
-Jade- Jasper challenged me and Lapis to a fishing contest that I know I am going to win.
-Jasper- Ha! We shall see how confident you are once I go get the fishing sticks. (He said as he walked to the storage room below deck.)
-Rachel- You know girls, I have my own way of fishing.
-Lapis- Really? Show us!
-Rachel- (She put Arthur in his walker.) Alright. (She summed a bow and arrow. Tied a rope to the end of the arrow.)
-Jasper- Hey, what is Aunt Rachel doing? (He said as he came out of the room with the fishing poles.)
-Jade- Shh! You will blow her concentration.
-Rachel- (She shot her arrow into the water and nicked a fish. She pulled it in using the rope.) And that is how it is done.
-Smeets- That was so cool.
-Jade- I want to try. Please.
-Rachel- Alright (She gave Jade another set of bows and arrows with rope attached.) Now you have to first find a fish to shoot at. Do you see one?
-Jade- Yes.
-Rachel- Remember to shoot where it is going, not straight at it.
-Jade- Ok fire. (She loosed the arrow and got the fish.) I got it. (She pulled it in.) Woo! Look at my fish. (She said holding it up.)
-Lapis- It looks great. I want to try next please?
-Rachel- Of course, you will each get a turn. (She gave some arrows to Lapis.)
-Lapis- (She grabbed her arrow and shot at another fish. But it was too big for her to pull in.) Jasper- help! (She and Jasper pulled it in. When it came in the fish went flying off the arrows and on top of Lapis head. Her horns killed the fish on impact.)
-Jasper- Wow… I guess that is one way of doing it. Are you ok, Lapis?
-Lapis- I have a headache, but other than that I am fine.
-Shadow- Here sweety, let me get that off for you. (He got the fish off.)
-Jade- Woah! Lapis, your fish is bigger than mine.
-Lapis- Thanks Jade. I think it is Jasper's turn now.
-Jasper- Yes I am going to catch a real whopper- just watch! (Rachel summoned another arrow.) Aiming and loose. (He shot at a fish and caught one but the fish was tangled up in alot of seaweed that made it look bigger then it really was. It was smaller than the girl's.)
-Jade- Hahaha! Well, at least you caught something.
-Jasper- Ok fine, so I did not win…
-Will- But, you caught some seaweed with the fish. I could make some rice balls. (He said taking the seaweed.)
-Athena- Dad, you know how to make rice balls?
-Will- Of course, when Rachel and I went to Japan we took a class.
-Rachel- That was a lot of fun.
-Athena- Can I help dad?
-Will- Sure- I think we packed some rice, you can go get it from the gally. (Athena left in a hurry.) Aurora, you can get my cooking tools.
-Aurora- Right away dad. (She ran off and got a spatula and a chef's hat.)
-Will- (Will put on the hat and walked over to the grill.) Now I will start cooking. (He took the fish and seaweed from the smeets.)
-Athena- Dad, I got the rice. (She poured it onto the grill.)
-Will- Thank you. Ok. Don't just stand there, smeets. We will need more fish.
-Shadow- You heard him. (He gave the smeets the fishing poles and they fished the other way for a while.) Don't be discouraged, Jasper. I am sure you'll catch a big fish, you just have to be patient.
-Jasper- Thanks, Dad. (He yawned and went back to fishing.) What do you say Lapis and Jade best three out of four?
-Lapis- Sure.
-Jade- Fine by me. There are still plenty more hours before mom gets here.
-Diva- Cannon ball. (She said jumping up then turning into her three headed dog form and making a big splash.)
-Jade- Let's hope Diva does not scare away all the fish first….
-Rachel- (She guided Shadow away from the smeets.) Ok Shadow, what is really going on?
-Shadow- What do you mean?
-Rachel- I know you did not just come out all the way out here to fish. So what is happening?
-Shadow- (sigh) Amethyst and I have noticed that the smeets have not been sleeping well and they won't tell us what is wrong.
-Rachel- So you thought that giving them a great day and then springing the question on them later would work.
-Shadow- Yes, don't you think it will work?
-Rachel- Maybe, but you know how cubs are, they don't always tell the truth.
-Shadow- I know, but I can't stand watching them like this. I mean look at them. (Lapis was falling asleep while holding her pole.)
-Arthur- (He walked into Lapis.)
-Lapis- Cherry pie! I mean- I am awake.
-Arthur- Hahaha- funny.
-Rachel- I see what you mean. Well, you can count on me. To help out.
-Shadow- Thanks sis. Amethyst will be here later today and then hopefully the truth will come out.
Setting 5 Back at Amethyst's office.
-Amethyst- (She just finished the last of her paperwork.) And that is the last of it. Woah, I finished sooner than I thought. (She said looking at the clock.) I still have two hours before I am supposed to meet Shadow and the smeets for lunch. Hmm what if the plan does not work. I have to come up with a back up plan. Hmm…
-Kierra- Master Rig is the biggest jerk ever. (She said running into the room.) All I wanted was a soda. So I went to the soda machine and put my money in and when I was about to push the button he pushed all the buttons at once breaking the machine.
-Amethyst- Oh I am so sorry to hear that Kierra here you can have one of my soda's and I will call Rig in. (She gave Kierra the soda.)
-Kierra- Thanks. (She grabbed it and shook it.)
-Amethyst- Rig would you come in here please.
-Rig- Whatever she said I did, I am innocent.
-Amethyst- Oh don't worry Rig, you are not in trouble.
-Rig- I am not?
-Kierra- Sure, in fact here- have a cola since the machine is broken. Who did that by the way?
-Rig- Search me. (He opened the bottle and it sprayed all over him. It shocked him.) Ow! What the?
-Kierra- Karma, maybe if you told the truth I would not have had to give you your shocking just desserts.
-Rig- You are despicable.
-Amethyst- (She gave Kierra another soda.) Hahaha… You started it Rig, don't be mad that Kierra finished it.
-Kierra- (She drank her soda.) So Master, did you finish your paperwork?
-Amethyst- Yes I did and I still have some time before lunch.
-Kierra- That is good because you need to go visit Paige for your fitting for Zimila and Marvin's wedding where you will be the officiator. Then you can go to the boat.
-Amethyst- That's it Kierra. Paige will have what I need to make the truth come out.
-Kierra- What are you talking about Master?
-Amethyst- Oh you will see. (She grabbed Kierra's hand and Rig touched Amethyst before she teleported away too. Because he was not going to miss his chance to get Kierra back.)
