I had forgotten just how bloated the Namek Saga was from the fight with The Ginyu Force, and especially Frieza. Oh man does Frieza take up at least half of the saga with his various different forms and the back and forth between him and the Z-Fighters. Honestly, this chapter as well as the next two chapters were challenging to write, but I think I got something that I am happy with in the end.

The fight between Cress and the Ginyu Force is 100% an original mission. I didn't like swapping bodies with Ginyu in Xenoverse 1, and while Trunks swapping with him was ok in 2, I think I managed to make an improved mission that will make this a bit more interesting. Plus, here is where we meet the true baddies! Yay!

It had been about a week since Cress went on her last mission, her battle against Nappa was tough but a great learning experience for the young half-Saiyan warrior. It was still hard for her to believe that she had fought against her former general, let alone was able to vanquish him in combat on her own. While learning that Fennelle was in the Time Patrol too was unnerving to her to learn, it didn't seem to matter too much in the end as after that day Cress didn't see her for the week that she had off. She had to admit that she missed going on missions, but her training at the moment took priority, especially since the battles ahead were going to be much tougher then Nappa was.

The gravity room was flashing 100, the room glowing red to indicate that the gravity was heightened and intensified to the magnitude it was showing on the white LEDs that shined on the panel. It was incredible that the machines weren't being crushed by the increased pressure, but if Cress had to guess, the metal was re-enforced to insure it could survive in the most intense of situations. What shocked her more then anything, though, was how Goku was unaffected by these intense conditions, the weight of 100 atmospheres seeming to be nothing but feathers to the seasoned warrior.

Cress charged and began throwing a flurry of punches, though Goku blocked every single one of them, smirking as he moved his arms with a speed so fast that Cress couldn't even see them until they met her fists. Aiming a kick at his head, she thought for a moment that she'd finally land a hit, until that too was evaded and the Earth-raised Saiyan tapped her on the forehead with a finger, sending her flying back, though she was able to catch herself in the air just in time to prevent herself from hitting the wall, before charging again and continuing her assault. After a few minutes, she fell to her knees, panting as sweat dripped from her head like a leaking sink, her hands catching her by hitting the floor before she could fall flat on her face.

"I think that will be enough for now", Goku said, walking over and turning off the gravity chamber before reaching over and digging into a brown pouch located on his belt, pulling out one of the senzu beans from it. "Here!", he cheerfully smiled as he held it out to her, which she gladly accepted to restore her energy and stamina. "You've improved a lot, I can tell that your fighting is much more fluid and refined from the last batch of training we did, though we still weren't able to tap into that Tuffleized state that you have."

Cress frowned as she gave a nod. Despite all her efforts, her crimson eyes had yet to reappear, despite all her efforts to get an angry as possible in an effort to awaken them once again. Goku noticed her face and patted her on the back, still keeping his signature smile. "Hey, it's ok! For the moment, I don't think it's necessary. If I am reading your power correctly, I estimate that you're stronger then I was when I landed on the Planet Namek!"

"Really?" Cress asked in surprise, tilting her head. "But I thought I did the exact same training you did. How come I ended up stronger as a result?"

"Well, if I am going to be honest, we did go a day more then I did flying to Namek on the space ship", Goku admitted with a sheepish laugh. "Plus the fact that I was training alone in space, while you had me to spar against. Training with someone else is always more beneficial then training alone, after all. Finally, you're half-Saiyan, which means you probably have more potential then I do."

"Wait, I do?" Cress was taken aback by this. "How so?"

"Well, it was Vegeta that originally came up with the theory", Goku explained to her. "Before he came to Earth, he told me that he and that big bald guy ("Nappa", Cress muttered) were talking about it. It seems like most half-Saiyans have more potential then pure ones, at least when their other parent is a human. Gohan alone has what seems like limitless potential, every time he stops training he becomes almost as strong as I do, if not more so, in mere days once he starts back up again! It might be the case with Saiyan and Tuffles too, but we can't be too sure, with you being the only one and all... Still, the results speak for themselves, your strength has increased a lot!"

Cress looked down at her hand, flexing it for a moment before smiling. She could feel the improvement in her power as well, and it was almost shocking at how strong she had become in just the last week. Goku brought her back to Earth, however, as when Cress looked up she could see he bore a serious look on his face. "You're still no match for Frieza, but neither was I when I first landed on Namek. It took me nearly getting killed by Ginyu to become strong enough to hold my own, and even then I had to turn into a Super Saiyan to defeat him once and for all. I'd rather not put you through almost dying though, so I can say you're at least in a safe area to defeat the Ginyu Force. That should be enough for now."

"Can I at least try something?" Cress piped up, watching his face go from serious to confused. "You said earlier the power comes in response to a need, not a desire... so maybe if I think I need Super Saiyan..."

Goku shrugged at that, "Worth a shot". Cress nodded at that and got into a stance, tightening her fists and bringing her hands up to her waist. The air around her thickened a bit as she began to power up, just imaging what Frieza did to not only her people, but to countless planets at well. She gave a yell, her power flaring for a second before nothing happened and her energy dropped back down. She sheepishly grinned at Goku, who gave her one back. "Not quite, but like i said before, you'll get there. I can already see it being possible for you soon!"

Cress nodded, before suddenly the door to the gravity room opened. From the doorway emerged Zero, who looked over at Cress and Goku before he began to walk over. "Pardon the interruption, but Cress has been summoned back for active duty. There is a mission that she could take now, if that is fine by her."

"Yeah, I'll take it", Cress gave a nod, turning to Goku and giving a bow. "Thanks for all the training, Kakarot. I'll be back soon."

"You bet!", Goku replied with a thumbs up. "Just let me know when you get back and I'll be here ready to train with you some more."

Cress entered the Time Nest, seeing Trunks and the Supreme Kai of Time hunched over a scroll and looking at it intensely. They turned when she walked in, either sensing her or hearing her foot steps echo in the open room. While Chronoa gave her a smile, Trunks' face was pale and he could only muster a small lip twitch before nodding at her.

"Good, I can sense how much stronger you are", Trunks muttered as he turned back to the scroll. "You're going to need that strength... you're going to be up against the Ginyu Force."

"Well, that was fast", Cress replied with a head tilt. "Not Zarbon or Dodoria? I'd think they'd be first on the chopping block before I fought against the highest in Frieza's ranks."

"You'd absolutely mop the floor with them, plus we sent Escar ahead", Chrona answered her. "He's already taken care of them, and is just being held up by someone who isn't supposed to be there. An evil Namekian named Lord Slug. We sent Fennelle to back him up, just in case."

"Fantastic", Cress dryly muttered at hearing the name, before turning to Trunks and raising an eyebrow. "So what's with you? It looks like you've seen a ghost."

"Well..." Trunks muttered, watching the scroll intensely. "If we don't defeat the Ginyu Force, the timeline is going to be altered to this..."

Cress looked over and watched as the first four members of the force did their poses while shouting their names, causing her to almost sigh in shame at the sight. It was when it was Ginyu's turn, however, she felt eyes go wide as his voice came out of Vegeta's body, the Saiyan making the same pose as the captain did. "And together we are... THE GINYU FORCE!"

Cress burst into laughter, barely able to contain herself as she witnessed the stoic Saiyan Prince's body perform the pose and lines. She dried a tear that threatened to fall from the sight, turning to Trunks who was looking at her with an expression of horror. "I-I'm sorry! I just n-never thought I'd see something like that come from your father, Trunks... so, I need to prevent Captain Ginyu from snatching Vegeta's body? Should be easy enough, just need to kill him before that happens."

"No", Chrona chimed up, catching Cress' attention. "Captain Ginyu does manage to snatch a body in the original timeline, though it is Goku's. You need to make sure he can do that, injuring himself in the process. Then, Goku's body will get injured by Gohan, you might need to help with that too, especially if someone tampers farther with the time line. See, Ginyu cannot use Goku's body properly, so he isn't strong enough to defeat Gohan in the original timeline. After he is defeated, lying there broken, is when he attempts to change with Vegeta twice. The first time, Goku gets in the way to get his original body back. The second time, Goku manages to throw a Namekian Frog in the way and intercept his attack. That defeats him once and for all."

"Geez, that's complicated", Cress groaned as she crossed her arms. "So Goku and Ginyu swap, then they swap back, then Ginyu is trapped in the body of a frog... so kill the frog?"

"No, leave the frog alone", Trunks replied to her. "It's punishment enough for him, and he lives in the original timeline."

"Alright, I think I got it", Cress nodded with a sigh. "Send me in."

Trunks nodded, rolling up the scroll before handing it to her, and in a flash of light she vanished and reappeared on the blue grass planet of Namek, where the green shy threw her off for a moment before she looked over and saw a freshly defeated Recoome, just having been defeated by Goku after he arrived on Namek. Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta were all standing off to the side, all of them seeming in awe at the fight they had just witnessed. Had Cress not heard it from her timeline's Goku herself, she would've been shocked to know Goku had defeated Recoome as well.

Wait, Gildo and Recoome are still alive in the altercations, so why are they defeated now? Cress thought, but Goku's voice brought her back to the mission at hand, and figured that she'd just file the question away for later.

"So, what's it going to be, you guys?" Goku asked Jeice and Burter, who were standing off to the side and flabbergasted as well. "Are you going to go back to the world you came from, or are you going to stick around and end up like your friend over here?"

"Your hear that Burter?" Jeice snickered with a grin. "This cheeky bastard really thinks he can defeat us too!"

"Yeah, he got lucky knocking out Recoome because he let his guard down, and now he wants to talk trash."

"I say we teach him a lesson, what do you say?" Jeice stated, suddenly his eyes flashing red as a purple aura surrounded him.

"Yeah, let's do it!" Burter replied, gaining the same aura as he too powered up.

"This is bad!" Trunks said in Cress' ear piece. "The timeline is altering, their power levels are increasing! You need to go!"

"RIght!" Cress nodded, flying forward and landing next to Goku. "Hey! Need a hand?"

"Thanks", Goku replied with a grin. "Let's teach these two a lesson!"

At her appearance, Jeice perked up as he looked over at her. "Wait a moment, aren't you one of the solders that was in Aikon's squad? Yeah, you're that green haired ape, ain't ya? How the hell are you even alive!?"

"I'm flattered that the elites of Frieza's Army remember little ole me", Cress shot back at him, glaring. "But you'll find that I'm not the weakling I used to be!"

"Ha, please!" Burter laughed, looking her over. "Aikon was a low class, which means you're low class as well. You don't stand a chance against the elites!" Pressing on his scouter, he gave a huff as he continued to grin. "Yup, power level of 5,000... gotta admit, that's not bad for a Saiyan, in fact you're stronger then their former general was. Still, it is no match for us, and we'll prove it right now!"

Or so the two members of the Ginyu Force thought. To say that they were outmatched would be an understatement, and for the first time, Cress understood why certain fighters played around with their opponents instead of just finishing them off. The looks of anger and humiliation on the faces of Jeice and Burter were pleasing, especially since she remained in total control of the fight alongside Goku. She didn't let it get to her head, however, as she knew she was there to ensure that the timeline remained on track. Though, it was fun to finally put Burter down a peg.

"How are you that much faster then me!" Burter yelled her in frustration. "I'm the fastest in the universe?"

"The fastest? Really?" Cress muttered as she looked at him deadpan. "First of all, Frieza can mop the floor with you, so I think he has you beat there... if he ever got out of the damn chair that is. Second, your Captain is probably faster then you, but slower then Frieza, so that immediately puts you third... oh, but we've been faster then you this entire fight, so that's fifth. You're the fifth fastest in the world... actually, that's not even including the gods, so-"

"You bitch, don't you mock me!" Burter charged at her, but that was his mistake. Cress managed to elbow him in the gut so hard that the air escaped his lungs, before she spun him around and shattered his spine with an energy punch, sending him crashing to the planet surface in a lump.

"D-damn it all!" Jeice shouted, before flying off. Cress was about to go after him, before suddenly she sensed something else, a power level far higher then Burter and Jeice, which seemed to be over in another part of the planet.

"Guys, I need to investigate something, I'll catch up with you later!" Cress shouted at them before flying off, her senses locked on the power level.

"What are you sensing?" Trunks asked, apparently realizing that something was amiss.

"There is a huge power level over here", Cress replied. "I can sense Frieza and Ginyu, and it's not them... this is something else..."

"Look into it, but get back to the others before Ginyu begins changing bodies", Trunks ordered her. "If we let him swap with my father, we have to do this all over again." Cress gave a nod at that before increasing her speed, and just when she sensed the power under her she stopped and landed a short distance from it, hearing foot steps coming out from behind the mountain side she had landed next to.

"You're pretty sharp,", said a feminine voice, as a light blue skinned woman holding a staff emerged from the cliffs with long white white hair, and purple eyes that looked at her in amusement. Her outfit was red and black, skin tight against her slender frame, with a V-shaped hole around her stomach to reveal her navel and the lower part of her breasts. A long, flowing open legged cape came from her back, jagged at the bottom. "It must have been you snooping around earlier, when we decided to have a little fun with Nappa."

"So you are the one messing with history!" Cress shouted, getting into a fighting stance. "That stops here and now!"

"Oh, is that so?" the blue skinned lady replied with a smirk. "You really don't plan on interfering with us, do you? That would be a mistake."

"Us?" Cress asked, with a raised eyebrow. "But, I only sense one of you!"

"A costly mistake", came a male voice, as another light blue skinned figure emerged, only this one was muscular and had spiked short white hair. He bore armor that somewhat resembled a Saiyan suit, only it covered just his chest and had the same tube like structure Vegeta's did in the future. A green gem was embedded in it with a white X symbol, and his armor colored his red outfit with black cape like pants that covered his legs, leaving only red shoes to be exposed. "I will eliminate you here and now", he continued, glaring at her with red eye as a red aura appeared around him, his fists clenching. Cress growled a little in frustration, why could she only sense one of them?

Cress growled and charged at the newcomer, only to him to dodge out of the way without much effort. He looked unamused as she attempted to punch him again, blocking her fist with his arm and leaping back.

"Seems like we found one of the ones messing with our plans, Towa", the man said.

"Indeed, Mira", replied the one called Towa. "And it is such a shame, we made things interesting too."

"All you did was mess with the timeline!" Cress shouted as she charged again. and to her shock this time she got a few hits in before sending Mira flying back. The man got back up quickly, however, wiping the blood from his mouth and looking at her with an unamused expression.

"Is that all? I expected more from you, Saiyan. Even if you are only half-Saiyan, I didn't expect that weak race you are also part of to cause this much weakness in you." That pushed Cress' buttons, and caused her eyes to turn crimson again as her aura flared up and turned red as well. Mira smirked at that, uncrossing his arms and getting into a fighting stance as she charged, the two beginning to brawl across the canyons. Towa only watched on the side, smirking as she watched the exchange take place, her face unconcerned for her ally. Mira backed up after the exchange and as his face fell, looking at her once again with disappointment.

"I expected more from you", he told her with a scowl. "Regardless, it doesn't matter. I will use your energy well."

"Energy?" Cress asked, raising an eyebrow as her eyes turned back to gray. "What are you talking about?"

"It doesn't matter, at least not to you", Towa replied to her. "But I do have one question. Who is backing you up? Someone like you cannot traverse through time on your own like this." Cress didn't reply to this, clenching her fists as her mouth went thin. Towa waited for a moment before finally she narrowed her eyes. "So, the silent treatment, huh? No matter... Mira, just leave her for now. You don't mind, right? After all, I can't extract that much energy from her anyway... for now, that is."

Mira only replied with a hmph, as Towa looked back at Cress. "A word of warning, little girl. Get in our way again and I'll erase you from all of history. Count on it." At that moment, she and Mira suddenly vanished, and Cress was about to chase after them before Trunks' voice came through her ear piece.

"Wait, it's too dangerous to go after them now! I'll have senior members begin their investigation into those two right away... Towa and Mira, so they are the ones messing with history. But for what? What energy could they be gathering, and what could they be using it for anyway?"

"Beats me", Cress muttered as she looked at the spot where they vanished. "But, something about changing history is releasing the energy they need. It's possible that the excess energy the warriors they augment, when expended, is converted into some sort of energy that they can use... still, I am not sure what they could even be doing with it."

"That man, Mira... he's especially dangerous", Trunks muttered, deep in thought. "Even with your Tuffleized state, you couldn't match up against him... I doubt you'd even be able to fight him if you were a Super Saiyan..."

"Then, it looks like I have a lot more training to do", Cress replied with a sigh, turning and looking back to where she came from. "Still, who are they anyway? I've never seen anyone like them before... and why could I only sense one of their power levels? Why couldn't I sense hers... or was it even hers? I honestly couldn't tell..."

"They are powerful inhabitants of hell, born within the Demon Realm", came the voice of Chronoa. "Towa... she is the little sister of the king of the Demon Realm, Dabura. Mira, however, is a warrior created by Towa for her own purposes, hence why he listens to her despite being so much more powerful then her. It's likely his power level you are sensing... or not. I know that one of them has Divine Ki, and you cannot sense that. If I have to guess, I think they are stealing energy to undo a seal that contains the Demon Realm."

"We can't let that happen!" Cress shouted, tightening her fists. "If they do that, then who knows what will happen... for now, I'll go back and ensure the corrections are made to this history." Cress flew back to where she was, sensing around for the correct power levels to head towards. She landed just in time for Captain Ginyu to appear again with Jeice, who eyed the group with fury. Cress looked over to see Burter's neck was broken now and Recoome was blasted by something to be killed, and she was guessing it was Vegeta who finished them off, as Goku was too kind hearted.

"So, you two are the ones that defeated my men", the captain hissed, looking them over. "They both have a power level of 5000."

"Yeah, it's strange, don't you think?" Jeice asked him.

"You're such an idiot", Ginyu scolded him. "They made you look like fools because you were too busy looking at your scouter. It is obvious that they're both the type of fighter that can change their power level at will. My best guess, seeing that they defeated you two so soundly, is that they both have a power level around the range of 60,000."

"60,000!?" Jeice gasped in shock. "But they're Saiyans! I've never heard of a Saiyan with a power level of sixty thousand! How could they-"

"It is not unheard of for weaker species to develop mutants that are stronger then usual", Ginyu explained to him. "After all, Frieza is one of them, and so are we. And the green haired girl, she is for sure one since all Saiyan's normally have black or brown hair. It would make sense that she would be stronger as a result of that mutation. In any case, this should make it fun... it's been a long time since I, Captain Ginyu, have had to show my true power to anyone!"

"Alright, Vegeta, since you recovered from near death, you should be able to take on the red one", Goku said. "I can handle the purple guy. Uh, I never got your name, what was it?"

"Cress", replied the green haired girl.

"Back us both up then, Cress", Goku told her with a grin. "I don't think we need it, but just in case, the extra support will be great. Gohan and Krillin, you two take the Dragon Radar and find out where the Dragon Balls are, ok?" With their missions in mind, Gohan and Krillin hurried off, and to the shock of Cress, Ginyu just decided to let them get away. However, even more shocking was Vegeta, who suddenly smirked and flew off, screaming "Catch you later, Kakarot!"

"Vegeta!" Goku shouted, causing Cress to look baffled after him.

"You're wide open!" Ginyu shouted, getting in a sucker punch of Goku to start the fight off. Cress turned and eyed Jeice, and they begin to engage in combat as well, though Jeice was still no match for her, and she was mostly just fending him off as he prevented her from interfering with the fight between Goku and Ginyu. After a brief exchange, one in which Jeice kept getting distracted by the Captain's fight, all four warriors were squaring off, with Ginyu smirking as he looked at them both.

"I can sense it, you both are holding back. There isn't a point to holding back, even if you were trying to save your power for Frieza. Besides, I can't imagine you guys getting any higher then 85,000... I'm more then a match for that."

Goku smirked at that, hovering there. "Fine, I'll show you. Just be sure to get a good reading on those devices you guys like to use so much!"

With that, Goku began to power up with the red aura of the Kaio-Ken, and Cress decided that she should show them how out matched they truly were. A blue aura appeared around her, her power level increasing as well as Jeice and Ginyu both were scanning them, their looks going from confident to horrified within the span of seconds as the numbers blipped higher and higher.

"90,000... 100,000...110,000" Jeice was sweating as he read Cress' power level, his normally red skin paling a bit to a more pinkish hue.

"120,000... 130,000... 140,000..." Ginyu's jaw was dropped, his eyes wide as he kept reading the power level of Goku. "This cannot be! He's reach over 160,000 and it's still raising!" Finally, Goku and Cress were both finished powering up, eyeing their opponents and waiting for their next move.

"It cannot be!" Jeice took a few steps back, looking at Cress as if she grew a second head. "You have a power level of 150,000! That can't be right, you're just a low class! Captain, what is that guys level at?"

"180,000!" shouted the captain as he looked at him in awe. "I can't believe it... is that really your true power?"

Heh, they're not even close, Cress thought to herself with a smirk on her face. Kakarot is only using a normal Kaio-Ken which doubles his strength, and knowing him he can go at least at a times ten now, increasing his power level to almost one million! Meanwhile, I felt my Tuffleized form when I used it against Mira, and I know it increases my strength by five, putting me at a true power of 750,000! Cress grin faded however, as she eyed Jeice. I can't let my guard down though... for the timeline to go right I need Ginyu to swap with Kakarot... and I know if Frieza shows up and transforms I don't stand a chance... plus I still can't Tuffleize at will...

Ginyu continued to watch him, before he dawned an expression of horror. "It can't be... you can't be a Super Saiyan, can you!?"

"I have no idea what that means... but Vegeta was saying something like that too", Goku replied to him. "Either way, you can't defeat me... so I recommend getting off this planet while you still can and sparing yourselves!"

"So far, so good", Trunks said to her in her ear. "At this point, the timeline is going as planned. Now, Ginyu with swap with Goku and everything with proceed as normal. Once that happens, Ginyu will be unable to use Goku's full potential, dropping his power to about 23,000... therefore Gohan will be able to beat him once he comes back. Get ready, Cress!"

Sure enough, Ginyu punctured a hole in his chest after dropping his scouter for Jeice to catch, which actually caused Cress to wince in pain. The change proceeded as it should, with Goku appearing in the place of Ginyu and vice versa. However, to Cress' horror, the captains power level had not dropped since assuming his body, as a matter of fact a sudden spike in the power of Goku's body caught her attention as she felt his energy shift to become darker. Ginyu was smirking confidently, a dark purple aura appearing around Goku's former body, his eyes flashing red with power as he landed next to Jeice, his scouter being handed back to him as he put it on his ear.

"Jeice, what is my power level at?"

"200,000!" Jeice laughed as he grinned. "Looks like you're making better use of that fools body then even he did!"

Ginyu turned to Cress, grinning as the Saiyan looked on horrified at the sight. "Perfect", spoke the Captain, taking a step forward. "Now, let's try this body out. A power level of 150,000 should be no match for me now!"
