It was Marinette's 6th birthday and Gina Dupain was arriving from her visit in Tibet, when she enter the bakery, Tom and Sabine looked up and smiled as they saw who was at the door
"Mother, welcome home." Tom said as he walked over and gave Gina a hug
"It's good to be back, so where's the birthday girl?" Gina asked
"She's with her best friend Chloe Bourgeois at the moment, they are having a girls day out together." Sabine said
"I wonder how Andre is after that messy divorce with Audrey?" Gina asked
"Andre is actually taking the divorce really well." Tom said
"How about Chloe, how did she take it?" Gina asked
"As can expect it with a 6 year old, but Marinette was with her when those two split and their friendship became stronger after that." Sabine said
"I'm happy for the two girls." Gina said then Sabine saw Gina holding something
"What are you holding Gina?" Sabine asked
"Oh, it's something I found in Tibet that I'm sure Marinette would love." Gina said
"Then let me take you to our apartment where you can wait for Marinette to come home." Sabine said
5 hours later, Marinette arrived home wearing new clothes and when she opened the door, she saw her grandma sitting on the couch with her parents
"Grandma." Marinette said with a smile on her face
"How's my little fairy." Gina said as she held her arms out for a hug
Marinette ran over and hugged Gina
"I'm good Grandma, so which country were you in this time?" Marinette asked
"I was in Tibet with a few of my friends and you wouldn't believe what I found there just for you and possibly your friend Chloe." Gina said
"What is it?" Marinette asked
"A strange book and a pair of earrings and a hairpin." Gina said as she handed Marinette her present
"I'll open these in my bedroom." Marinette said as she ran upstairs where she put her present on her desk then she ran back downstairs.
"Will you be staying, Grandma?" Marinette asked
"I'm so sorry my fairy but I'm not staying but I'll promise that I'll come by when you're older." Gina said which made Marinette smile
"Thanks Grandma." Marinette said as she hugged Gina
"No problem little fairy." Gina said then Marinette pulled away
"I got to call Chloe." Marinette said as she ran upstairs making the adults laugh
Marinette's Bedroom
Marinette sat in front of her computer and started to video call Chloe who answered
"Happy birthday blueberry." Chloe said
"Thanks Chloe." Marinette said
"So what did you get on your special day?" Chloe asked
"I got new books to draw my designs and my Grandma arrived today." Marinette said
"Gina came back from Tibet." Chloe said which made Marinette smile and nod her head
"Stay there, I want to see what she got you." Chloe said as she hanged up which made Marinette smile
Downstairs
Tom, Sabine and Gina all heard what Chloe said and they both smiled
"Seems like Chloe's on her way." Tom said then they heard thumping on the stairs then the door swung open as Chloe rushed up to Marinette's bedroom
"A quick little thing wasn't she." Gina said
"Yeah, she was." Sabine said
Gina walked to the door then she turned back to Sabine and Tom
"It was nice being back here again but I have more countries to visit but I'll be back for Marinette's 16th birthday." GIna said as she closed the door and left
Marinette's Bedroom
When Chloe ran into Marinette's bedroom, Marinette was standing in front of her desk facing her
"Did you run from the hotel to here?" Marinette asked
"Yep, so what did your Grandma get you?" Chloe asked
"I haven't opened the box yet since I was waiting for you." Marinette said
"Then open the box up." Chloe said as she walked over and stood next to Marinette who opened the box and they saw two little boxes and a book so Marinette picked up the book and opened it up and saw that the words were in another language
"What does it say?" Chloe asked
"I don't know, the only languages I know are Chinese, Italian, English and French." Marinette said
"Where did your Grandma say she found this book?" Chloe asked
"Tibet, why?" Marinette asked
"Could it be possible that it could be a Tibetan language or a lost Tibetan language that has been lost to time and never spoken before." Chloe said
"If that's the case then this could take years to decipher." Marinette said
"Then let's open these two boxes and see what's inside." Chloe said as she picked up the one that was closer to her while Marinette picked up the other box
Marinette and Chloe opened the boxes and 2 bright lights appeared and when it does down two strange creatures appeared
"Chloe, are you seeing what I'm seeing." Marinette said
"Are you talking about the strange Bee and Ladybug creatures then yes, I do also see it." Chloe said then they both opened their eyes
"Hello my queen." Pollen said to Chloe who fainted
"It appears my Queen has fainted." Pollen said as she stared at Chloe's knocked out body
"Hello." Tikki said
"Um, what are you two?" Marinette asked as she lifted Chloe onto her Chaise
"We are both kwamis." Tikki said
"Kwamis? What are those?" Marinette asked
"I'm Tikki, the kwami of Creation and this here is Pollen the Kwami of action." Tikki said
"It's a pleasure to meet both of you." Marinette said then Tikki saw the Grimoire which Marinette saw
"Do you perhaps know how to read this?" Marinette asked
"I'm sorry us kwamis are not allowed to read the Grimoire, only the Guardian is allowed to read the book." Pollen said
"Who or what is the Guardian?" Marinette asked
"The guardian is who protects the Miraculous in the miracle box." Tikki said
"Where is the Guardian now?" Marinette asked which made Tikki and Pollen look at each other
"We don't know, we were lost along side with Duusu and Nooroo." Tikki said
"How long ago was that?" Marinette asked
"200 years ago." Pollen said
"Could it be possible that this Guardian could be dead after so long?" Marinette asked
"I don't know." Tikki said then she started crying which Marinette saw
"Oh, don't cry." Marinette said as she gave Tikki a gentle hug
Then a groan was heard as Chloe started waking up
"I had the weirdest dream, there were these strange creatures then they started to talk." Chloe said
"Um, Chloe that wasn't a dream." Marinette said which made Chloe turn her head and saw the strange creatures on Marinette's shoulders
"So they are real." Chloe said which made Marinette nod her head
"Do they have names?" Chloe asked
"The bee is Pollen and the Ladybug is Tikki and they are called kwamis." Marinette said
"Nice to meet you two." Chloe said
"How are you feeling my Queen?" Pollen asked
"I'm fine, thanks for asking Pollen." Chloe said then she saw the jewellery in the boxes
"What's this?" Chloe asked as she picked up the hairpin
"That's the Miraculous which us kwamis are connected too." Tikki said
"Interesting." Marinette said as she picked up the earrings then she put them into her ears and that's when she felt a surge of power wash over her which Tikki felt
"Unbelievable." Tikki said
"What was that?" Marinette asked
"You're the true holder of the Ladybug Miraculous." Tikki said as she smiled
"Um what does that mean?" Chloe asked
"A true holder will get the side effects when they get older, so in Marinette's case she will have the side effects of the Ladybug in the future." Pollen said
"But there was something else I felt inside her as well." Tikki said
"What was it?" Pollen asked
"A soul that I haven't felt in over a million years." Tikki said
"Um, Tikki what are you talking about?" Pollen asked
"Pollen, I felt the first Guardian soul inside Marinette's body." Tikki said
"Does that mean the first Guardian got reincarnated as Marinette." Pollen said
"Well the resemblance is uncanny so it has to be true." Tikki said
"Um, what are you guys talking about?" Marinette asked
"Marinette, has anything happened since you were born?" Tikki asked
"Well there was an unexpected bright light appearing in Paris 2 years ago." Marinette said
"People said it was an asteroid flying through Earth's atmosphere creating that bright light." Chloe said
"It appears you used your magic without knowing it." Tikki said
"While I was asleep." Marinette said
"Did anything appear in the city of Paris?" Pollen asked
"Multiple new buildings did appear overnight but people thought they were already there but haven't noticed it before." Marinette said
"What new buildings appeared?" Tikki asked
"A new company called MDC, a new Mall called Star dust, a police station calling themselves the Akuma tactical force or whatever that means and a high maximum security prison as well on the south side of Paris." Marinette said
"What were you dreaming when this happened?" Tikki asked
"I don't know, it looked like I was in my future self body." Marinette said
"How far in the future was this?" Tikki asked
"It looked like it was about 10 years in the future when I was 16." Marinette said
"It seems like your future self was sending your youngest self a message which made the magic in you active then that bright light appeared after." Tikki said
"Why would my future self send me a message?" Marinette asked
"Do you know what message she sent you?" Pollen asked
"It looked like Paris but it was destroyed and there was a monster who split from their victim." Marinette said
"What you just saw Marinette was an akumatized villain splitting from their victims and since they are fuelled by negative emotions they'll continue to rampage and kill people since they don't have any positive emotions to hold them back." Tikki said
"But this villain was knocked out cold." Marinette said
"That does happen most of the time but occasionally they would get back up and start fighting again." Tikki said
"We can't let that happen." Chloe said
"Your right Chloe, we have 10 years to train until the Butterfly Miraculous will be activated but we can still fight crime when we turn 14." Marinette said
"That would help my father immensely." Chloe said
"Seems like we have 10 years of training ahead of us." Marinette said
"So what training will we need to do?" Chloe asked
"Gymnastics, marital arts, weapons training, we are going to have to train our stamina and build our muscles." Marinette said
W"e going to be sore after 10 years." Chloe said
"Yeah, but we'll do it together." Marinette said
"You're right." Chloe said
For the past 10 years, Marinette and Chloe trained very hard, they were very flexible, know different styles of Martial arts, can wield different types of weapons and they can run faster and longer than before and they had muscles as well and when they turned 14 they became vigilantes know as Crimson Bug and Honey Bee where they started to fight crime at night while during the day they attended school. Marinette has gotten the Grimoire translated as it was on her computer under heavy encryption so no one can read it which made Chloe and Marinette to unlock new powers and have no timer when they use their powers. Marinette and Chloe became a couple when they turned 15 years old
A year later the Butterfly Miraculous got activated and a new Miraculous holder appeared as well.
