Episode 7: "A New Bond, A Brewing Storm"
--
[Scene 1: Morning Realizations]
The morning light filters through the apartment as Naruto wakes up, stretching on the couch. He rubs his eyes and looks around, but something feels off. He squints and notices something that makes him do a double-take—Rias and Zero Two, both just emerging from their respective rooms, wearing his jackets. The sight makes him blink in confusion.
Naruto (raising an eyebrow):
"Uh, why are you two wearing my jackets?"
Both girls stop in their tracks, a bit surprised to see Naruto awake. Zero Two is the first to respond, a playful grin spreading across her face as she adjusts her jacket.
Zero Two (smirking):
"Because they're comfy! We decided we wanted to borrow them."
As Rias joins her, she gives Naruto a cheerful smile, her jacket slightly oversized on her frame, making her look even cuter.
Rias (giggling):
"And they smell like you. What's not to love?"
Naruto crosses his arms, trying to appear annoyed, but there's a hint of amusement in his eyes.
Naruto:
"Right. Just don't get too comfortable. They're mine."
With that, both girls laugh and head into the kitchen. Naruto follows them, curious about what they're up to. They start cooking breakfast together, the sound of sizzling and the smell of food filling the apartment.
--
[Scene 2: Planning the Day]
As they cook, Rias turns to Naruto, her smile brightening the room.
Rias:
"Hey, what do you think about going to the park today? We could use some fresh air."
At first, Naruto hesitates. He's not used to spending time with others, and the thought of being around more people makes him feel uncomfortable.
Naruto (shaking his head):
"Nah, I'm good. You two should just go without me."
But as he watches them, laughing and working together in the kitchen, a realization dawns on him. He's not alone anymore. There's a warmth growing inside him, a sense of belonging he hasn't felt in a long time. He pauses, contemplating.
Naruto (reluctantly):
"Actually... sure. Why not?"
Both girls' faces light up, and they share a high-five, clearly excited about the prospect of spending the day together.
Zero Two (teasing):
"Finally! It took you long enough to say yes."
Rias (grinning):
"Let's finish up here, and then we can head out!"
After breakfast, they quickly clean up and grab their things before heading to the park.
--
[Scene 3: Fun at the Park]
The three of them arrive at the park, where the sun shines brightly, and laughter fills the air. Naruto, Rias, and Zero Two seem completely at ease as they walk along the park's winding paths, sharing stories and jokes.
They eventually decide to play tag, and the atmosphere turns playful. Rias is the first to chase after Naruto, while Zero Two playfully cheers her on from the sidelines.
Rias (giggling as she runs):
"Tag! You're it!"
Naruto (trying to dodge her):
"Hey, no fair!"
As they run around, laughter echoes through the park. The carefree joy between them is palpable, and even Naruto finds himself smiling genuinely for the first time in a long while.
Unbeknownst to them, Issei and Hiro are watching from a distance. The two popular boys are hanging out with their friends when they spot Naruto playing with Rias and Zero Two.
Issei (sneering):
"Look at that loser, hanging out with the girls. What a joke."
Hiro shrugs, glancing over at Naruto, who is laughing with the girls.
Hiro:
"Yeah, but they seem to be having fun. Maybe he's not as much of a loser as we thought."
Issei shakes his head, clearly unconvinced.
Issei:
"Come on, man. They're just playing with him because they feel sorry for him. We need to do something about it."
The two boys exchange looks, both agreeing that they need to teach Naruto a lesson.

[Scene 4: A Dark Turn]
Back at the park, Naruto is lost in the moment, running and laughing with Rias and Zero Two. But the carefree fun is about to take a turn. After a few rounds of tag, Naruto feels a sharp sensation in his chest, a sudden awareness of how fragile this happiness could be. He dismisses it, trying to stay in the moment.
But as he pauses to catch his breath, he spots Issei and Hiro whispering to each other at the edge of the park. His heart sinks, feeling the familiar sting of anxiety creeping back in.
Unbeknownst to him, Rias and Zero Two also notice Issei and Hiro lurking in the background. Their smiles fade, replaced by concern.
Zero Two (frowning):
"Do you think they're going to do something?"
Rias (nodding):
"They might. We should keep an eye on them."
As the playful atmosphere shifts, Naruto tries to push the negative thoughts aside, focusing on the girls beside him. But deep down, he can't shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen.
--
[Scene 5: A Brewing Storm]
After a few more rounds of tag, Rias and Zero Two catch up to Naruto, both of them panting and laughing.
Rias:
"This is the most fun I've had in a long time! I'm glad you came with us."
But before Naruto can respond, a loud shout pierces the air.
Issei (yelling from a distance):
"Hey, loser! You think you can just hang out with our girls? You're not even in our league!"
The fun atmosphere instantly shifts, and Naruto's heart sinks as he looks over at Issei and Hiro. The other kids at the park start to stare, and he feels the weight of their gazes on him.
Zero Two (clenching her fists):
"What a jerk."
Rias (frowning):
"Ignore them, Naruto. They're just trying to get a reaction."
But Naruto stands frozen, feeling the familiar sting of being targeted again. He tries to ignore them, but as Issei and Hiro approach, he can feel his chest tightening.
Hiro (smirking):
"What's the matter, loser? Can't you find anyone else to hang out with?"
Naruto looks at Rias and Zero Two, who are both glaring at Issei and Hiro protectively. But instead of feeling anger, Naruto feels a deep sense of hurt wash over him.
--
[Scene 6: Facing Reality]
As Issei and Hiro continue their taunts, Rias steps forward, trying to shield Naruto with her presence.
Rias (firmly):
"Leave him alone, Issei! You're being a bully."
But Issei just laughs, unfazed.
Issei:
"Aw, look at the loser getting protection from the girls. You should be thanking us, Naruto! Without us, you'd just be sitting at home alone."
At that moment, Naruto feels something inside him crack. The laughter, the joy of the park—all of it feels distant as the familiar feelings of isolation creep back in.
Naruto (quietly, almost to himself):
"Maybe I should have just stayed home..."
Both Rias and Zero Two look at him, their expressions softening as they see the hurt in his eyes.
Zero Two (stepping closer to him):
"Hey, don't listen to them. They don't know you."
But the damage is done. Naruto takes a step back, shaking his head as he starts to turn away.
Naruto:
"I need to go."
With that, he walks away, leaving Rias and Zero Two behind, the hurtful words of Issei and Hiro echoing in his mind. The girls exchange worried glances, realizing they need to do something to help him.
--
As Naruto walks away from the park, the sun begins to set, casting long shadows behind him. Despite the laughter and fun he had shared just moments ago, he feels the weight of loneliness creeping back, reminding him of the wall he had built around himself for so long.
End of Episode 7.
