Episode 8: "Breaking Point"

--

[Scene 1: Healing at the Park]

The next day, Rias and Zero Two decide to visit Naruto in hopes of lifting his spirits. They head back to the park where they had so much fun the previous day. As they walk, the vibrant atmosphere of the park contrasts sharply with the heaviness they feel for Naruto. The laughter of children and the sound of nearby families enjoying their day only amplify their worry.

Zero Two:

"Do you think he'll come back to the park? He seemed really upset."

Rias:

"I hope so. We need to show him that he's not alone."

Determined to make Naruto feel included, they spend some time at the park, playing games, laughing, and even eating ice cream. But as the day goes on, the girls can't shake the feeling that Naruto is still feeling isolated. Each time they catch a glimpse of a happy family or a group of friends, their hearts ache for their friend who is missing out.

After a while, they sit on a bench, watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink. Rias glances over at Zero Two, who is staring off into the distance.

Rias:

"We can't give up on him. We have to show him that we care."

Zero Two:

"Yeah, but how do we make him see that? He seems so distant."

As the sun sets, the two girls exchange determined looks, realizing they need a new plan. They decide to head back to the apartment, hoping to check on Naruto and figure out how to bring him back into their lives.

[Scene 2: A Lonely Lunch]

The next day at school, Naruto sits alone at a table during lunch, pushing his food around absentmindedly. He glances at Rias and Zero Two, who are sitting together with other friends, laughing and chatting. It stings, but he tries to ignore the feeling of loneliness creeping in.

Across the cafeteria, Issei and Hiro spot Naruto and share a mischievous glance.

Issei:

"Look at him. He thinks he can just hang out with the girls. Let's remind him who he really is."

They stroll over, and just as Rias and Zero Two are about to join Naruto, Issei steps in front of them, blocking their path with a cocky smirk.

Issei:

"What do you want with that loser?"

Ignoring their comments, Rias tries to get past them.

Rias:

"Just let us through. We need to talk to him."

But Issei suddenly leans in and kisses Rias on the lips, catching her completely off guard. Hiro follows suit, kissing Zero Two as well. Both girls' eyes widen in shock, their faces turning crimson.

Zero Two (furiously):

"What the hell?! We didn't want that!"

From his table, Naruto watches, the world around him blurring as he feels his heart drop. The laughter from the cafeteria turns into a dull roar, and he clenches his fists, feeling overwhelmed by a wave of hurt.

Realizing what just happened, Rias and Zero Two pull away from the boys, looking horrified.

Rias (frantically):

"Stop it! We never agreed to that!"

But before they can reach Naruto, he stands up, pushing his chair back hard, causing it to scrape against the floor. Without a word, he leaves the cafeteria, the sound of laughter following him like an echo of his pain.

[Scene 3: Confrontation at the Apartment]

As Rias and Zero Two break away from Issei and Hiro, they share worried glances, panic rising in their chests.

Rias:

"We need to find him!"

They rush out of the cafeteria and head back to the apartment. When they arrive, they frantically knock on Naruto's door.

Rias (voice trembling):

"Naruto! Please, open up!"

After a moment, the door creaks open, revealing Naruto with cold eyes, his expression unreadable. He stands there, arms crossed, radiating an unapproachable vibe.

Naruto:

"What do you want?"

Both girls' hearts ache at the sight of him, and Rias stammers, desperate to explain.

Rias:

"We... we didn't mean for you to see that. They forced the kiss on us!"

But Naruto shakes his head, a bitter smile on his face.

Naruto:

"Why do you care? You're both clearly happy with them. I guess that's what I get for thinking I mattered."

With that, he starts to close the door, but Zero Two pushes it back open, tears in her eyes.

Zero Two:

"Naruto, please! We want to help you! You mean so much to us!"

But Naruto steps back, his expression hardening.

Naruto:

"Just leave me alone. I don't need your pity."

With a final shove, he slams the door in their faces, leaving them stunned. They stand there for a moment, hearts racing and emotions swirling inside them.

Rias (voice cracking):

"We didn't want that! We wanted to be with you, not them!"

But their words fall on deaf ears as Naruto retreats into his isolation.

[Scene 4: Silent Tears]

Feeling defeated, Rias and Zero Two slowly walk to their respective rooms. As they enter, the reality of the situation sinks in, and the tears they had been holding back finally flow freely.

In her room, Rias collapses onto her bed, burying her face in her pillow.

Rias (sobbing):

"Why can't he see we care?"

Meanwhile, Zero Two sits on her bed, staring blankly at the wall, feeling a deep sense of loss.

Zero Two (whispering to herself):

"I just wanted to be there for him…"

Both girls lie down in silence, their hearts heavy with the weight of their failed attempt to reach out to Naruto. The warmth they had shared only days before feels like a distant memory, overshadowed by the hurt that now lingers in the air.

[Scene 5: A New Plan]

Later that night, the two girls sit in their rooms, contemplating their next move. Finally, Rias knocks on Zero Two's door.

Rias:

"Can I come in?"

When Zero Two nods, Rias enters, her expression serious.

Rias:

"We can't let him push us away like this. We need to show him we care, not just with words but with actions."

Zero Two:

"But how? He's so hurt right now."

After a moment of thought, Rias's face brightens with an idea.

Rias:

"What if we plan something special, just for him? A party, but it'll be just the three of us!"

Zero Two's eyes light up at the suggestion.*

Zero Two:

"A party? Just us? That sounds perfect! We can cook his favorite food and play games!"

Rias:

"Exactly! No pressure, just a relaxing day where we can all be together. We can even set up a movie marathon!"

With a newfound determination, the girls start brainstorming ideas for the special day. They make a list of Naruto's favorite foods, gather snacks, and think of games they can play together.

--

[Scene 6: Preparing the Surprise]

As they plan, the atmosphere shifts from sadness to excitement. They gather supplies, prepare decorations, and make sure everything is set for their small gathering.

Rias:

"I'll cook his favorite ramen. It'll show him how much we care."

Zero Two:

"And I can set up the movie marathon! He'll love it."

As the preparations come together, both girls feel a surge of hope. They are determined to make this work and help Naruto feel appreciated and valued.

[Scene 7: The Surprise Day]

The day of the surprise arrives, and Rias and Zero Two wake up early, buzzing with energy. They spend the morning cooking and decorating the apartment, filling it with balloons and streamers.

As they finish setting everything up, they look at each other, excitement dancing in their eyes.

Rias:

"I hope he likes it."

Zero Two:

"He will! We just need to show him how much fun we can have together."

They hear the front door creak open, and they quickly hide, waiting for Naruto to step inside.

When he does, they jump out and yell, "Surprise!" The look of shock on his face is priceless. He stares at the decorations, then at the girls, clearly confused.
