It was a beautiful Halloween night in Jasper City as everyone was enjoying the spookiness of the holiday by either,Trick or treating or just watching scary movies like the one Humphrey was watching while Kate was catering to the trick or treaters that came by the house Humphrey glanced at his phone and saw Claudette's phone number and thought about texting her to see if Stinky was behaving right, Runt was out trick or treating wearing an Dr Alan Grant costume and was with Stinky and Claudette who was tasked by Kate and Humphrey to take him Trick or Treating however they gave Stinky a warning: if he goes off causing mischief with those delinquent pups he was with before they will embarrass him of the whole neighborhood again.
Humphrey decided not to as Claudette will call him if Stinky acts up,Humphrey continued to watch tv until the doorbell rang and Kate went over to the door with a bowl of candy and opened it to reveal Midas in a Loki costume with Marigold next to him "Aww a little trickster god."Kate said with a giggle giving Midas some candy "Thank you."Midas said as he and his mother left, Kate closed the door and sat on the couch for a couple of seconds until the doorbell rang again and Kate went over to the door and opened it expecting trick or treaters but instead was greeted with eggs being thrown at her by a few pre teens wearing masks,"Happy Halloween!"they laughed as they ran off Kate stood there in shock and anger as her clothes were ruined Kate went back inside and slammed the door behind her glaring at Humphrey who stared at her in alarm "Whoa what the..?!"Humphrey exclaimed "it was those rotten pups Stinky was with before."Kate said with clenched teeth "are you sure?"Humphrey asked "they were wearing masks but I recognized their voices,grrr I'm going to tear their limbs off I don't care about going to prison."Kate growled in rage.
"Uh but I do Kate,why don't you change clothes I'll handle the trick or treaters."Humphrey said with a calming smile Kate handed him the bowl as she marched upstairs then she went into the bathroom and closed the door behind her,Humphrey heard the shower began running,for about 10 minutes Humphrey handled the trick or treaters while Kate took a shower,soon the shower turn off and then after another few seconds went by Humphrey was sitting on the couch he heard the bathroom door opened and Kate's footsteps leave the bathroom and then come down the steps with her fur wet and damp and wearing a cotton yellow bathrobe.
She sat down next to Humphrey letting out an irritated groan "don't let those punks get to you dear."Humphrey said with a comforting tone "Grr i swear pups today have no respect."Kate snarled "you know their parents are to blame."Humphrey said making Kate nod in agreement "oh i know that Humphrey and if i wasn't drenched and naked under this bathrobe go out there and find their parents and embarrass them."Kate hissed in anger.
"Yeah that would be a thing to see,look Kate just calm down and let's watch tv and wait for the pups to come back."Humphrey said with a smile as he and Kate continued to watch tv until they noticed something out of the corner of their eyes and noticed one of the delinquent pups a brown furred male pup wearing a black hoid on the grass of their lawn, standing in view holding a carton of milk "What is he doing with that milk?"Kate asked in concern slowly standing up then the pup grinned evily as he poured what looked to be expired milk on their clean beautiful lawn drenching the flowers in "Ugh my flowers,you little bastard..."Kate roared as Humphrey held her back and immediately ran outside "hey you better leave or I'll call the police."Humphrey ordered but the male pup just glared at him and away about to throw the milk carton at him until a very angry voice shouted "Christian!" the pup looked to see a dark brown slightly chubby female wolf stomping towards him Humphrey immediately knew that she had to be the pups mother "have you lost your mind doing this garbage again?!"the woman screeched "are you the boys mother?"Humphrey asked "Yes I am."the woman said "well he and several other pups threw eggs at my wife,and he poured milk on our lawn."Humphrey said very upset "Ugh you idiot I told you to stay away from those pups,no apologize to this man and his wife."The woman said grabbing the pups ear and twisting it the pup groaned in pain but glared at Humphrey and Kate who stepped out of the house with a stern look the pup just sneered and said this "Screw you and your (Bleep) of a wife!"
Kate gasped in shock after that pup called her that some of the parents that were near by froze and covered their pups ears "How dare you!"the woman hissed in fury as she twisted Christian's ear harder making him groan "just get him out of here,"Humphrey said with disgust that a pup called his wife that word the woman dragged the pup away while Humphrey and Kate went back inside the house in disbelief.
5 Minutes Later
Halloween was now over as the pups stopped trick or treating and went home with their bags of candy anxious to eat them, although pretty much all decorations were still up,those will be taken care of the next day or when the owners get a chance "I'm going to have a sugar rush after this."Runt said with a smile as he held on to his stash of candy which was in a half full pillow case. "Now Runt you agreed you'd share with us."Claudette said with a laugh as they walked towards the house and they noticed a milk carton on the grass and they noticed a little bit of egg yolk on the porch,they entered the house to see Humphrey and Kate sitting on the couch "check it out."Runt said proudly showing off his candy "that's fabulous sweetie uh Claudette Runt go to your rooms for a moment we need to speak to Stinky alone."Kate said with a slight stern expression Runt and Claudette did as told and went upstairs to their rooms.
There was silence between the three of them for a few seconds "I know what you're going to ask but I wasn't with those pups tonight."Stinky said "yeah speaking of those pups, we had a visit from them,they threw eggs at your mother and one of them poured expired milk on our lawn and call your mother the C word."Humphrey said making Stinky's eyes widen in horror as he looked at Kate who had a blank expression on her face.
"Stinky we told you this once before now we repeat,stay...away...from pups like that,they'll drag you down to hell with them,understand?"Humphrey asked in a stern voice Stinky didn't say anything and he nodded and then he left leaving Kate and alone to calm down further.
