It was late, and Roxy just wanted to get back to her room so she could recharge. It wasn't her fault that her meet and greets ended up lasting ten minutes till closing. She was also ready to change out of her glamrock getup and put on something more comfortable. Her feet ached and her hair hardly resembled how it looked earlier, thanks to management deciding to add industrial fans to the stage to add 'glamour' or 'atmosphere' or something.
She was almost in her room when she saw a shape in the corner of her eye hurry towards the utility tunnels. Not only was it way too close to closing for a kid to be here, but it looked familiar. She ignored the soreness in her feet and crept closer until a little girl jumped from behind a potted plant. Her brown eyes were opened wide and frantic and her pigtails bobbed as she shook her head vigorously. "Please! Don't hurt me! I'm just trying to get out!" Her hands raised up in front of her defensively and her shaking got worse, waiting for the attack Roxy was going to deliver.
"Oh, hello. You're Cassie, right? The birthday girl who likes carrot cake?"
The girl stopped shaking and looked up at Roxy. "Um, yes?" Cassie had a birthday there earlier in the day and only one of her friends had actually showed up. She had been devastated, then Roxy asked if she could come to her party and even baked her her favorite flavor of cake to lift her spirits, then let her get beat in a go-cart race, which Cassie said was her favorite attraction. By the end of the day, Cassie was seeing Roxy as her older sister, someone who just wanted her to be safe and happy.
"Here, let me get that for you." Roxy opened the door to the utility tunnels. "You should really be more careful, Cassie. If anyone besides me caught you, you would be in a lot worse shape. Why are you here so late?"
"Um, I was trying to find my friend. He said he was going to get a closer look at Freddy while he was out. That was the last time I saw him."
Roxy scoffed. "Freddy ruined the show. Just get to the exit, Cassie. The last thing you want is to be stuck here after closing. It's not safe. Oh, and try to avoid the security guard. She's...odd."
"Thanks, Roxy." Cassie hurried through the doors, then turned back. "If I can't get out on time, can I come find you?"
Roxy shrugged. "I'll be in my room." Cassie smiled and started down the stairs and Roxy went to her room, finally getting to change into a tank top and shorts and kick up her feet on her sofa. After relaxing for a bit, she turned onto her belly and used her arms as a pillow deciding to deactivate for a bit. She had the whole night to recharge. She could deal with a nap.
Roxanne Wolf was an interesting animatronic. On stage, she was a loud, egotistical, and rebellious rock star. Off stage, she was soft-spoken, shy, and just basically a nice girl. In her free time, she would either make small trinkets for her friends or hang out with her best friend; Chica. Baking was always fun with that clumsy and impatient chick around. She would practice every now and then, but most of the time, she was around her friends offering words of encouragement and kindness to help them get through the day. She was sure Freddy would be a lot more depressed after his friend disappeared if she wasn't there to help him through it.
She opened her eyes at a banging on her window and saw Cassie there, yelling through the glass about her friend getting out on time, but she was locked in until six. She ran to the door and opened it with a photo pass and ran into Roxy's arms, crying in fear. Roxy hugged her back, rubbing circles into her shoulders. "Don't worry. If there's another way out, I'll help you find it." She lifted a paw to her head, running a claw through her hair, just starting to get their natural curl back, a motion that always helped her think. "Most of the areas in the plex require security access. There should be a security upgrade in every security office in the building."
Cassie pulled out of the hug and looked up at Roxy in disbelief. "You mean I have to run all over this place with all the others trying to hunt me down? I'm just a kid! I'm not gonna last five minutes!"
Roxy hushed Cassie and pulled her back into a hug. "You don't have to do it alone. I can help you." She walked to her vanity and opened one of her drawers, pulling out a pair of walkies. "Here. This way we can communicate if we have to split up."
"Split up?" Cassie asked. "Why can't you just come with me?"
"I'd love to, Cassie, but I have to recharge every hour. That's my design." Roxy turned on the glow on her eyes and looked around. "It looks like the closest security upgrade is in the daycare. Did you already get a complimentary entrance pass?" Cassie held up a card. "Great. Now take this." Roxy handed her a magnet shaped like her head she kept on her vanity. "You gotta go to customer service and hack a daycare pass out of the machine. I have to recharge, but I'll meet you in the daycare once I have a little more battery."
"You want me to do that by myself?"
Roxy knelt down and put her paws on Cassie's shoulders. "I'll keep in touch. We're going to get you out of here. You just have to trust me...carrot cake."
I have no idea if Cassie and Cassidy are the same person, but that was the name on the character list. All rights belong to Scott Cawthon and Steelwool Studios.
