In a completely devastated field, evidence of a great battle could be seen, with a figure of black color in the center of the field. Its presence was enormous, causing everything around it to levitate while the nearest stones, due to their diminutive size, were destroyed by the incredible power manifested.
Around it were humanoid creatures with bat wings crushed against the ground, all of them looking terrified at the figure before them. Their bodies trembled with fear as they attacked with energy that seemed to be magic, but it was either rejected or absorbed by the figure, feeding its fear.
"Die, cursed monster..." Some of the creatures shouted in desperation as they launched attacks of all kinds—fire, water, lightning, earth, and even wind—against the figure. All, of course, proved futile; the figure stood there motionless like a god, ready to pass judgment on its enemies.
"Stay away from us, stay away..." Tears of fear began to appear in the eyes of the creatures as they tried with all their might to fly, but their fate was already decided as they only received silence.
"Mercy..." One of the beings screamed before exploding at a simple hand movement from the mysterious black figure.
The leader of the group watched in terror as he witnessed what was happening before his eyes. His mind could not comprehend what was happening. Was this the humor of divine beings? Was their desperation just a simple joke to send them such a monster? They, who were demons, the ultimate creatures of nature, and among them, he was above as a descendant of the four great ones.
Beelzebub was his ancestor; he had noble blood flowing through him. The creatures should bow at his walk or tremble at his voice.
But instead, his legs couldn't stop trembling as he tried to react to what was happening—a mission that should have been a walk in the park... hunting down a bastard half-breed shouldn't have been more than a stroll, and he would receive the honor that his brother had denied him out of envy.
But no, the sight of his lackeys disappearing like mere dust between his hands made his mind collapse. It didn't help that his power, the power that, in his mind, made his brother so jealous for not possessing it and proved that he was more worthy, was useless against the forces of the black figure that only looked at him like parasites.
"Impossible, impossible, impossible, impossible... Can a human without a sacred gear be so powerful?" were the words the descendant of Beelzebub managed to shout as his eyes filled with tears of helplessness, and they were his last words before exploding like the rest of his lackeys.
But he wasn't the only one witnessing this great power that would make even the gods tremble. A girl with lilac hair and orange eyes, holding in her lap a wounded adult man with light brown hair, was amazed by the sight and the revealed power.
"Power..." the girl uttered as she looked to where the descendant of Beelzebub had disappeared. Now, there was only a solitary black figure, a figure for which only the title of God was possible to describe its strength.
And that God, that solitary figure of great power, was crying.

In the present
In a cemetery outside the city, three people could be seen walking. There was an adult man with short brown hair wearing a gray suit, a young man with an expressionless face and bowl-cut hair, and beside him, a young woman with lilac hair, equally expressionless but whose beauty, unlike the boy's, overshadowed this weakness in the eyes of strangers.
With them was a certain presence of green color and a strange face with two red dots on the cheek. The man leading the group was called Reigen Arataka, a self-proclaimed psychic who considered himself the greatest psychic of the 21st century.
He was a psychic whose services anyone could acquire, as his workplace was an office located in the city center, under the name of his company "Spiritual Consultancy and More," which had recently become famous on the internet due to various rumors surrounding it.
The girl accompanying them was named Ingvild Leviathan. Her surname wasn't just a symbol of the girl's chuunibyo but rather proof of her true identity—a descendant of demons.
But not just any demon, but the serpent of the abyss and the oceans, Leviathan. This alone would be incredible if there wasn't something more—within her resided a divine object created by the lord of heavens. The name of this divine object was Nereid Kyrie, and among its kind, Nereid Kyrie was one of the strongest.
he creature accompanying them, named Dimple, was a former high-level spirit who fed on people's faith and planned to become the new god of the world with that power—a dream that hadn't been seen since the time of the Buddhas. But his dreams were frustrated when he was defeated by Reigen Arataka's disciple, the last member of the group, a young expressionless man
named Shigeo Takeyama, but his friends called him Mob, and his appearance was the least eye-catching of the strange group.
"Today's job is funded by the municipality. They've seen a strange creature lurking around the cemeteries and hired us to stop it. There's a lot of money at stake... which means today we'll be eating QUALITY PORK RAMEN!" exclaimed Reigen with excitement as he imagined the taste of the pork, leading the group while making a money gesture.
"Oh, that's great, Master!" said the pair of young people in unison, amazed with their respective poker faces, while Dimple looked at them with a sweatdrop behind his head.
"(They're monstrously impressionable...)" Dimple thought to himself.
It might have seemed like a simple walk among students and their guide teacher from a strange club if it weren't for the aura that began to emerge in the atmosphere. They all felt it, and as they looked ahead, they saw glowing in the darkness a pair of enormous reptilian eyes—eyes of a serpent—while a serpentine figure rose above the group, easily reaching 10 meters in height.
However, that was just its lifting height, as its body easily surpassed 30 meters. The serpentine creature looked the group in the eyes as its tongue vibrated in the air, enhancing the danger of its appearance.
"Oh, a giant black mamba. Now I understand why they had so many problems..." said Reigen, no longer astonished by what he could observe in the world.
"Kukuku, what do we have here? Food delivery... seems like those humans know how to treat their guests kukuku," the serpent pronounced amidst laughter as its colossal body began to encircle the group.
"So, you're the one who eliminated all those psychics who had come before? UNFORGIVABLE!" shouted Reigen as he pointed at the huge serpent.
"Kukuku, you were talking about those snacks? They were delicious as they were entertaining... their terror-filled faces as they realized they couldn't do anything to my scales improved their taste kukuku," the serpent responded as it showed its huge venom-filled fangs, which melted the ground upon contact.
As the enormous serpent said that, Mob stood in front of the serpent while his hair covered his eyes.
"30%."
"Kukuku, it seems we have a volunteer. You'll be my appetizer before I devour the rest of your group... especially that young lady who smells delicious, she'll be my main course kukuku," spoke the serpent, ignoring the aura surrounding Mob as his hair swayed.
"90%."
"Ha, that aura doesn't scare me. You're just like the other useless humans. Enjoy your meal..." pronounced the serpent as it bared its enormous fangs and launched its attack on Mob.
An attack that, if it had connected, would have been lethal for any human being. Not only humans, even supernatural beings like high-class demons would struggle against the serpent's onslaught. But in this case, nothing happened because the serpent was frozen, not by its own will but by a force it didn't recognize.
"W-what the... argh!" exclaimed the serpent in rage as it used all its strength to break free from the pressure exerted by the strange power emitted by Mob, who was staring fixedly at it while raising his hand.
The huge body of the serpent rose to the surprise of itself.
"This is impossible, I weigh over 30 tons, and my scales are immune to magic, enhanced by that damned tower piece... What kind of trick are you using?" shouted the serpent in desperation as it tried with all its might to break free, but it was impossible.
"You've been very naughty. It's time to leave this world..." spoke Mob calmly as the serpent, in its desperation, tried to use its venom to defend itself, but seeing itself unable to open its jaws to release its venom, it began to despair.
"I, the serpent Ba, who was going to devour even dragons, can't end like this... aaahgggg!" screamed the serpent as it disappeared under the pressure of Mob's aura.
As the aura faded, Mob's body returned to normal, and his hair went back to its usual state as if nothing had happened.
"Bravo, Mob!" cheered Ingvild happily as Mob blushed at the attention, while Reigen and Dimple quickly approached him.
"Showing off in front of young Ingvild, you've become quite the manly man..." teased Reigen as he put his arm around Mob's neck.
"You had that hidden, huh..." added Dimple, also with a teasing tone, as poor Mob blushed, trying to deny it.
"Should I hug him too?" innocently asked Ingvild, causing Mob's face to turn even redder and smoke to come out of his head.
"This girl is truly lethal..." remarked Reigen, covering his face at Ingvild's innocence.
"Did I say something wrong?" said Ingvild sadly, to which both Reigen and Dimple shook their heads, denying it.
"No, no, no, no... Let's go eat ramen to celebrate this great victory. Eat whatever you want, I'll pay," said Reigen as he made a peace sign, which Dimple imitated to cheer up Ingvild, which worked because her worried expression changed to one of happiness.
Meanwhile, Mob remained unconscious from Ingvild's surprise and innocent blow as they left the place without realizing they weren't the only ones who had visited the cemetery at that same time.
"Who the hell are they?" spoke a quite beautiful woman with short hair and glasses that complemented her figure. Her tone of voice sounded surprised.
Her companion, a woman with long hair and a more curvaceous figure than her companion, especially in the obvious difference in the frontal area of both girls, replied, "I have no record of them, but they're very strong... Ba was a Class A criminal, and only high-class demons can hunt him."
"How could such a dangerous creature, which required a specialized capture group, be defeated so easily by a seemingly normal young man?" she wondered.
"Tsubaki, I need you to gather all the information about them. We need to know if they're dangerous and also about the young woman accompanying them... I sense demonic energy surrounding her, and it's very powerful," she continued.
"Kaichou, wouldn't it be better to stop them?" asked a young man with light brown hair.
"It wouldn't be a good idea, Saji. The enemy they defeated so easily would have required the joint effort of all of us, and we could have died if we weren't organized. And that creature was so easily defeated, it's not an enemy we can face now. Retreat before they notice our presence," she explained.
"Hai, Kaichou..." replied the young members of the group as they disappeared into a magic circle bearing the magical crest that identified them with the Sitri household, belonging to the woman with short hair, named Sona Sitri.
As they left, Sona had a pensive look. Her thoughts were directed towards Mob, who had been hit in the back by Reigen to wake him up.
This wasn't due to love at first sight but rather because of the aura the young man had released, which bore no trace of being a divine object created by the lord of heavens, commonly known as sacred gears carried by various humans, be it their pawns or queens.
Such energy felt more natural, as if it were inherent, but at the same time, it didn't have that demonic sensation or similar feelings like hybrids or other supernatural creatures... it was more like the divine energy of the gods, but without that burning sensation generated by divine energy.
"(Is he a God without a pantheon? That's impossible. Gods haven't appeared naturally for over 10,000 years)," Sona thought as she disappeared from the place with one last thought lingering in her mind.
"(What are you?)"—a question that the world has always asked in the face of Mob's existence.

Where I live, Mob arrived on Netflix, and I decided to give it a chance, which led me to binge-watch the show and immediately decide to write a story. The excitement was evident in this.
I have many ideas on how Reigen could fit into the supernatural world, and since the DxD cast lacks an adult who doesn't send a teenage group to solve their problems, but instead knows when to step forward and guide them on the right path.
So enjoy the reading, and I'll greatly appreciate your support. See you for the next update!
