Luminous moonlight bathed the clearing, casting an ethereal glow that heralded the night's unsettling events. The forest stood utterly still, the air devoid of even the faintest breeze. This eerie tableau was pierced by a haunting melody, a once-joyful child's song now warped by an undercurrent of bloodlust that would chill the bravest soul.

"Come all the little children,

Let us have fun,

In the frozen winter,

All of us shall hunt.

We people of South,

Strong and bold,

Can survive all tides,

Our strength from the cold…"

The old woman surrendered to the memories of her people, her head swaying gently as she recalled every rhyme she could muster. Her eyes, bright with unrestrained joy, sparkled beneath the moonlight, revealing a happiness that was far from hidden.

Spilling the blood of fire nation citizens without a hint of remorse always got her blood pumping, the old woman thought as she tracked throughout the forest relishing the feel of the moonlight on her. The power long gone to her head as she laughed to herself.

'It never gets old. Their faces as they slowly bleed out, kill each other or even themselves. This feeling of pure ecstasy ah~ It's like I'm young again~' She thought, closing her eyes relishing in it.

However...

'It isn't enough.' A near rabid frown twisted on her face, seemingly nearly demonic at the madness it hid.

She knew what her actions were called. A mere 'accident'. Despite the many people she killed she knew she didn't affect anything in the grand scheme at all. The fire nation, the behemoth, wouldn't bat it's eyes at such little things like the loss of lives from a backwater town.

"As expected from these scum. They can't even care about their own being wantonly slaughtered." She said spitting completely uncaring of the immense hypocrisy of the action.

She was long beyond such things as reasoning and guilt. She was naught but a beast now relying entirely upon the satisfaction she got from the hunt and she reveled in it.

'Still. While I know I'm not doing much it's still something. One more dead is another potential solider deprived.' She said entirely rationalizing her complete and utter fear of attacking the fire nation head on.

Her trauma implanted deep did not even allow her to entertain the idea of attacking soldiers despite their many outposts being near her. The mere thought of what would happen if she lost unconsciously stopped her from making the final leap.

Just imagining losing and being locked up once more caused her to shudder.

Looking down, Hama taking a breath out to clear the sudden jitters said nothing emptying her head of the foolish thought.

She turned her head upward, catching a glimmer out of the corner of her eye. With age dulling her vision, she approached cautiously, drawn by the shimmering light.

What a disturbance it was. As she beheld the scene before her, her eyes widened in awe. Slowly, she sank to her knees, bowing in reverence to the spectacle unfolding under the moonlit sky.

What she witnessed was something she had only imagined in tales for children. Gaping at the softly shimmering golden light, she surveyed the transformed surroundings.

The trees bore fruit as if in season, and she turned to see new buds sprouting, racing to catch up with the fully grown branches. Resting her wrinkled hand on the grass, she plucked a flower that had surely not been there before, her eyes widening at the other blossoms suddenly in bloom.

But a grunt startled her from her reverie. She leapt to her feet, instinctively freezing in fear at the sight of the platypus bear standing right beside her.

Though her heart raced as if she might faint, she tilted her head in confusion as the platypus bear ambled by, seemingly oblivious to her presence.

Letting out a breath, she turned back to the source of the phenomenon, witnessing animals of all shapes and sizes, both prey and predators, calmly making their way toward the light.

Gathering her courage, she took shaky steps forward, glancing at the entranced creatures that sat motionless, their eyes fixed on the glowing display.

As she looked ahead, a myriad of colors spilled forth, and she felt the wild grass growing lush beneath her feet, vibrant and alive.

Her eyes opening wide at seeing something come through she immediately focused on it.

"A-a spirit?" The old woman gasped shakily at seeing the ethereal being pop out using the only term she could even describe it as.

Hama, her eyes unblinking, watched the entire spectacle unfold, seeing more and more pour out of the golden light as they began dancing in the air elaborately.

She thought that was the case anyway.

Bracing herself at seeing the massive wave of energy burst out, the old woman got up having been knocked to the ground.

'Usually a hit like that would have hurt quite a bit.' She thought in confusion.

She was an old woman after all though she got rid of those thoughts at next events.

"Uwah! Uwah!" a sound echoed through the clearing.

Picking her ears wondering if she went senile, for there could not possibly be a baby's cry all the way out here, she was proven wrong when the animals got up with excitement moving towards the sound.

Blinking at seeing the creatures lay before the babe she confirmed that no she was not hearing things.

Walking forward in apprehension, she noticed the animals were smaller, wondering if she was going blind or crazy.

Perhaps both?

Covering her eyes, seeing the golden light still bright but fading she made her way there glancing down at the babe after stepping over the animals.

'What a exotic little fellow! Most certainly not a fire nation citizen. Killed enough to know.' She thought with amusement looking at the child in awe at his unique physical features.

'Golden hair? I've never seen it in all my life and this face is so...' She thought in intrigue looking down at the crying babe not daring to touch him, feeling the blank stares of the spirits upon her very soul.

The bloodlust she emitted in waves had slowly weaned as she glanced down at the child, an unknown feeling rising in her heart.

"What a handsome baby boy." Hama said aloud, unable to stop from bending down about to pluck him up.

However she stopped when she noticed something far far more shocking than anything she witnessed prior as she pulled away hastily looking at her hand in terror.

Shaking she put her hand in front of her eyes again looking at it in unhidden shock as she simply stared.

For her hand was as if one from a girl in the spring of her youth! Smooth, soft and the color returning!

"W-what. W-why.." She thought shaking as she stroked herself all over her body in complete and utter disbelief as she felt even the wounds from her capture that covered her completely once before gone.

Shaking getting into stance she conjured water from the air, failing many times as her composure was completely and utterly broken.

'This!' She thought tears in her eyes at seeing the face of her pure unblemished 16 year old self right before her capture.

Deeply shocked, wondering if she was being pulled into an elaborate illusion, she looked up blankly at hearing the babies cry, her mind simply not working.

Feeling herself being nudged she looked back with wide eyes towards the younger familiar bear who pushed her forward .

Stumbling, she looked at the child, her body struck with a sudden shake as she raised shaking hands, picking him up as if he was the greatest gift on earth before she looked at the noisy babe evaluating him once more.

'Babe may be a exaggeration he seems a couple months old?' She thought examining him her memories from her village now easier to remember coming in handy.

"Na-Na ru-ru to?" She said, sounding out the foreign name seeing it engraved onto his cloth that adorned him.

"Naruto..." She said looking at him as she held him to her chest looking up at the spirits watching.

Tiny things really. Some completely normal like the fox-rabbit, and the ox-octopus but that was where it stopped as she couldn't even recognize the rest only able to vaguely guess some origin.

She watched as they watched her, examining her keenly before they turned to the child forming into orbs of light entering him.

Watching in a daze, she saw a glow on his hand as she gently, feeling nervous with direct skin contact, opened the baby's closed palms seeing a circular mark appear.

'This is clearly beyond my understanding...' She thought, looking at him, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

She highly doubted even the most spiritually inclined person would be able to understand what happened here.

Flexing her hand a bit she breathed out feeling her bending far stronger than before.

'Of course being younger helps with such but..' She thought, glancing at the child feeling her chi come in strong tides.

'If this is what I have become just being near this event ...' she speculated, wondering how powerful this baby was.

Getting up she began walking back leaving the sleeping animals to themselves as she returned home deeply baffled, her earlier actions long forgotten.

'A child of the spirits..' She thought idly to herself wondering what she was a witness to.

'I heard spirits can see the hearts of people and souls..so why did they leave him with me when they were clearly protecting him?' She blinked in confusion. She was a monster after all.

Walking inside she closed the door behind her as she went up stairs placing the sleeping babe onto the bed.

Looking at him she was still at a loss on what to do. It wasn't everyday you picked up a miracle baby.

'This change isn't just physical, I feel so much younger too... what on earth happened? ' She thought to herself poking at her skin.

From what she gathered this child came from the spirit world obviously but how and why?

'And those spirits that entered him.' She thought unwrapping the cloth around his body as she ripped a makeshift diaper out of spare clothing.

'It will have to make do for today.' She thought to herself sighing, resolving to get more supplies tomorrow as she thought of a cover to disguise her change.

'I'll just say I'm my own granddaughter. It's not uncommon and I can make the paper work for the transfer of property tomorrow using my own handwriting.' She thought quickly.

Blinking in sleepiness she slowly drifted away tired from the night events as she brought the child to her chest.

Waking up, Hama blinked away the sleepiness, feeling confused as she looked around before feeling a warm body near her.

Shock running through her, she got up quickly feeling her body in terror.

She reached her breast feeling the plumpness and slumped in relief at it not being a dream.

"Thank the spirits!" She said puffing out deep breaths pushing down the fear of being trapped into an older body again. It was a terrifying thought.

Looking at the babe she looked at his cute sleeping face, the small puffs of air silently coming out.

Looking upwards at his hair she already knew what needed to be done immediately despite feeling regret about it.

"Either it needs to be cut off or covered..." She said out loud musing knowing standing out as a foreigner was a death sentence here.

'I need to…no we need to get out of here. These looks of his will attract the wrong kind of attention here!' She thought, already knowing the problem it would cause in the long run.

'The question is how do I get out? And where do I go? That scum of the northern water tribe would be ideal but...' She was reluctant to join the one who once ignored their plight. Those fence sitters disgusted her.

However, glancing at her responsibility she made up her mind with a decisive nod.

'We'll just have to go there and hopefully I can stir up some trouble as well!' She thought with a sneer as she remembered hearing about their so-called 'traditions'.

However her plans were put on hold as she jumped in shock hearing the banging on the door and her experience immediately told her who it was.

Only one set of people had the confidence to make such a racket without caring about the consequences.

'Soldiers! What are they doing here!?' She thought in terror thinking she was caught.

'No that makes no sense! I was here for so long and wasn't caught even then. So what is it that has changed?' She tried thinking likely reason while she panicked.

'Ah!' She thought before quickly looking at the babe.

"That light from yesterday!" She said hurrying downstairs composing herself as best as she could.

'Come on Hama! You faked in front of these human trash too many times to count! Once more isn't all that much!' She thought before taking a deep breath and opening the door smiling.

"Good morning, how may I help you?" She said happily leaning on the door.

"Ah-ah...".The soldier said at seeing the very pretty young woman open the door.

'Woah! Where did this babe come from?!' he thought wildly, his horny thoughts getting the better of him. This was such a remote village too!

And who could blame him? The clothes Hama wore were for a smaller sized person and on her recently grown self? Quite a few places were bulging without her notice.

'Disgusting ' She thought looking at the filthy soldier nearly scrunching her nose as her hand twitched.

Knocked out of the way the other soldier equally attracted but still having discipline said.

"Good morning. Under the order's of Fire Lord Azulon we're here to check if you know anything about a bright light that appeared last night." He said in boredom, not really caring, more than likely having done this 50 times over already.

"Ah? No, I'm afraid I was sleeping yesterday." Hama said in mock confusion.

'This must be really important if they're here already but it seems they don't know where it originated from. Otherwise they wouldn't be this nonchalant.' she thought quickly inferring the situation from his words and attitude.

"Is that so!? Anyway, I was wondering if you were-" The other guard said, getting back his composure before he was interrupted by the loud cry of a baby.

Freezing in fear Hama tried showing no signs of anything wrong as she immediately relaxed her muscles.

"Tsk. Let's go!" The guard said, quite turned off hearing the cry assuming she was already taken as they left without a single look back.

Watching to make sure she began closing the door as she slid down her heart hammering in fear and relief.

'I need to get a handle on myself! I'm younger, stronger and with the experience of age! I shouldn't be like this.' She thought placing hand on her bouncy chest, feeling the heartbeat slow down with the situation handled.

Feeling herself calm she went back up quickly at not hearing the cry as she opened the door looking at the baby in surprise.

For he was water bending as he blew bubbles from his mouth clapping, entertaining himself without her there.

'That is…impossible. Though expected considering everything ' She thought at seeing the improbable sight so early in age but accepted it rather quickly in consideration of what she saw yesterday.

She tried to bend the bubble back into the room as she raised a brow in confusion.

"What? You expect me to believe a child's bending can't be bent by mine?" She said trying again, failing as she closed the window instead when she failed to keep it inside.

'What in spirit's name?! Even the greatest master can't stop others from bending his own bending so how on earth can he? What could possibly cause such a thing?' She thought in confusion picking him up.

'Wait a second.. where did he get that water from? I can still feel some in the air so he didn't bend it from there. Wait, did he produce that himself?! Impossible! I've tried my entire life!' She thought shakily looking down at him.

Having a staring contest she blinked at him when she saw him gripping her nose as she scrunched her face, getting him to giggle.

'Oh no no. None of that you may break my nose you strong little guy.' She thought gently wrenching him off feeling the abnormal strength.

Smiling in amusement she poked his belly getting him to continue as she amused herself with the cute baby.

'Maybe this isn't all that bad.' She thought happy at seeing him enjoy himself feeling a bit warm herself.

Not knowing or either not acknowledging the feelings that began welling up.

"Whose a cute little man! You are! Yes you are!" She said, shaking him gently making faces as she put the squealing baby down on her thigh smiling a bit embarrassed.

"I'm surprised you're not hungry yet but let's not push my luck." She said getting sheets placing them on the ground moving everything away from his grasp as she rested him on the floor.

'I need to be quick and get his supplies then come back. Can't carry him with me as he is now, so this will have to do ' She thought sprinting grabbing her money and a bag before pausing in a mirror blushing a tad at her state.

'It's not completely inappropriate but… its still too much.' She mused, feeling a tad shy.

She stared at her reflection for a long time before finally being able to move.

Finding some clothing that fit the best, she realized she would need to go shopping because while they fit perfectly they still felt like something only an old lady would wear.

'And I'm most certainly not that huh?' She thought mischievously spinning, admiring her own form once more, not taking it for granted at all.

Checking on Naruto before leaving she saw him sleeping as she realized baby's slept most of the day away.

'How convenient!' She shook her head softly, now not needing to worry that he would get up to any mischief.

Leaving her inn, she quickly made her way down nodding to all the surprised looks putting on a facade of calm and friendliness, the role coming to her like a familiar friend.

Knocking on the house door she waited as a rather wonderfully plump lady came out peeking in surprise.

"Ah yes young lady. How may I help you?" She said opening the door wide feeling the girl was very familiar.

"Good morning! My name is Hama named after my grandmother and before she left she told me you can help with my child?" She said smiling openly, putting on a play of a young inexperienced woman.

Eyes bulging looking her up and down the woman immediately brought her in saying.

"You're Hama's granddaughter?! Goodness we never even knew she had family and such a pretty girl too! I bet your father had to beat all the boys from you! Come in, I'll get you something."

Sitting in the chair rolling her eyes, Hama said nothing trying not to feel disgust so she wouldn't have to hide it as she pondered a bit.

'If I knew this would happen, I probably wouldn't have killed all those people. Some of them definitely would have been more useful now.' She thought finally feeling regret like most monsters did.

When their actions bit them in the ass.

Perking up hearing the woman come back she nodded and patronized her in the appropriate places not really caring to really engage in any kind of meaningful conversation with scum.

"And don't forget to come back and show me your kid you hear me!? I can teach you quite a bit." The lady said, waving at her.

"Of Course Ling'Mei! Don't worry." She said walking away with her sac towards her next destination.

"Hello? Mr Fushou? I need to make a request." She said, sounding out after opening the door looking around seeing all the skulls of hunted animals.

"Hmm? Lassie you related to Hama perchance?" A old man came out wielding a bow as he raised his eyebrow intrigued.

'That old girl made something like this? She must've been quite something in her heyday.' He thought, lamenting not meeting her when he was in his prime.

Looking at the village's most experienced hunter she nodded saying " I am her granddaughter sir. I need a pint of black dye for hair, do you have any?"

His eyebrows shooting up at the very strange request he nodded before saying "That's usually for my game but it isn't suitable for human hair. Though I do have some that is. Only a little however so you'll have to pay a pretty-" he was cut off from the bag of money being placed on the desk without hesitation.

He looked up and watched in confusion as she left.

"I'll be back for it tomorrow. Goodbye." She said leaving.

"Kids have no patience nowadays." He said, sighing, getting back to work.

'Who am I kidding? I was just like that.'

Hastening to get back, Hama avoided the crowded paths as she got back breathing out a sigh at having to interact with those 'people '.

Needing a recharge she went upstairs with her sac as she opened the door and stopped in confusion.

'Why am I not even surprised.'

It was expected after all she was watching 2...hmm. Two tiny wooden golems?

Yes wood golems…

They fought violently ripping each other apart in a rather brutal fight as the baby clapped entertained clearly being the originator for this show.

'Alright if he's going to be doing this he'll need to be trained. I can't risk him outing us so deep in fire nation territory.' She thought, though her awe filled eyes followed the fight, not blinking once, wondering which golem would win.

'Another first with him. When will they stop?'

'Is this even considered water bending anymore? Can I learn it? How would you even begin to start? Actually can he learn my signature art? More than likely but let's hold off on that for now.' She thought glancing at him before looking at the battle just as entranced as Naruto.

"Weee!" Naruto said, throwing up his hands at the fight's conclusion as he sat on Hama's lap .

Raking her hand through his hair looking at him in amusement she pulled out some baby food feeding him as he opened his mouth without complaint, clearly hungry.

'Not quite like other babies then.' She hummed, catching the fallen bits with the spoon as she pondered.

Clearly he was hungry but he didn't cry or make a fuss when he was. She knew it sounded great on paper but...

'That's supposed to be an indicator on when to feed him without that then..' She sighed to herself.

'I'll need to feed him by a schedule to not starve him if he continues this behavior.'

Now to decide how to flee this place? That wasn't too much of a problem considering she already imagined multiple plans due to how long she was here.

The only problem was.

'That.' She thought in a deadpan seeing the kid produce bubbles again.

She might as well turn herself over now if she tried to escape with him.

"Defend." Hama said shooting quick 2 blasts of focused water towards Naruto in a standard yet adjusted water bending form.

Side stepping the first, Naruto pivoted on his feet feeling the water curve towards him as he adjusted accordingly already sensing the direction it headed.

Backfliping, dodging the water whip coming towards his feet, he gripped a tree with one hand, causing indents as he maneuvered around it as the tiny yet numerous needles of ice missesd their mark.

'...' Hama said nothing seeing him dodge like a little monkey already used to his antics.

Pulling water from the atmosphere she let it fall to the ground as she began bending shards of ice upwards intent on impaling him once more.

Pushing away from the tree powerfully, he dodged the first wave as he kicked away from the others.

Already feeling the 2 whips of water blocking his escape he simply extended 2 hands as he directed both away from his body using their momentum to propel him upwards again escaping the ice following his path.

"Attack." Hama said, getting in a defensive stance.

Breathing out she dodged the water that was being formed behind her, the quick stream taking a single lock of hair.

Another atop her as she bent it with effort barely curving it away in time as it slammed into the ground cracking it.

Looking towards the mist coming near her no doubt intent on freezing her, she slowly rocked hands back and forth pushing it outwards barely keeping it away.

Glancing around she kept her senses up for any sign of attack as a whip of water aimed for her feet yanking her from off the ground nearly dragging her inside the forest.

'Good. He's gotten much faster!'

Making sure all her fingers were straight she quickly chopped it with a blade of ice severing the connection by freezing it as she tumbled to a stop before spinning up to her feet.

Bending multiple streams of water around her in circles she adapted taking a more relaxed stance than the rigid one.

"There!" She said immediately using all the water to build a towering wall of ice against the incoming cannon of water.

Just about to throw it forward at his position, knowing she wouldn't get another chance to pin him down, her eyes widened instead.

For the ice had cracked and fell to attack's power easily as she dashed away, backwards, forced to do the same many times when the water kept on coming.

Her back to a wall, she backed up to a tree as she was forced to expend more and more energy to evade the water as she split it to the sides of her, getting somewhat soaked in the process.

"Wrong move mom." She heard the echo in the mist as she shivered knowing she messed up.

'No!" She thought, kicking off the tree, however it was too late as it came alive to bind all four of her limbs in a wooden prison.

"It seems you won again, Naruto." Hama said in defeat towards the black haired child walking out of the clearing.

Smiling like a cat, Naruto pranced up in happiness as he looked up at her bound form.

Though he blinked in shock when he felt a sting on his forehead, his eyes widening when he felt water drip down his face.

"Ew! Mom, that's disgusting! What's wrong with you?!" He said his face twisting in revulsion as he bent it away.

"What have I told you about underestimating your opponents! Had I wanted to, I could have killed you there. Always make sure they cant fight back!" She said, sighing, imparting the lesson.

Scratching his head, Naruto released her as he went to hug her.

"Well you know I don't want to hurt you! Look!" He said pulling up her hand to show the wound she got from falling.

"And no one else would catch me like that! You only did it because you're my mom!"

Sighing, about to scold him for being too soft hearted, she stopped when she felt the pain ebb away.

Looking down she saw the wound slowly closing as she gasped a bit in shock.

"Who did you learn this from Naruto?" She said towards the 9 year old a bit amazed.

"Well you told me how your tribe was very good at healing and how you regret not learning it so I went and tried to do it. I practiced on animals. For some reason they don't mind." He said, still focusing on her chi, not very used to healing people obviously.

Blinking, she could only look at him. If she was hearing right he reverse engineered it just by hearing it existed.

"Good job." She said ruffling his hair, getting his ears to turn red as he looked up with a beaming smile.

Looking up she smiled as she felt it happening tonight.

'A perfect opportunity for his final test of blood bending. He seems stuck right but I know how to push him.' She thought to herself.

Looking down at him she brought him to her body as she whispered "It's time again tonight prepare yourself. "

Fliching already knowing what she was talking about sensing the power from the moon Naruto said nothing as he reluctantly nodded.

Looking down as he was guided home he said nothing not wanting to disappoint her.

"Come." He heard her say as she got back.

Walking as if about to be sentenced to death Naruto dragged his feet following her inside the forest blanking all thoughts trying to escape all emotions even though he knew the futility.

Walking through the eerie silent forest Naruto had the stray thought that his mom was scarier than the forest.

Looking up sensing something he took a shaky breath looking back down having caught a glance and it being enough.

"Naruto? Begin." He heard her say as he looked up at her with his pale face, hers completely blank.

Shaking pupils looking forward he saw what she brought here.

Two people from their village, the old lady who always gave him candy and the old man who taught him about animals in the fire nation.

Looking down with shaking hands seeing another set of people he knew about to die he could only whisper.

"Please Mom. Please don't kill them."

"Me? I'm not killing these people you are. Don't you remember what I said? So long as you do it just once, you need never to do so again. But my stubborn child wants to disobey so unfortunately more people had to die." She said, justifying herself.

Naruto said nothing, looking down, unable to do it despite what she said.

Sighing to herself her heart was aching but knowing it needed to be done she got to her knees pulling him into a hug ignoring his flinch as she whispered "Have you ever wondered why I'm this way? Why I want you to do this now? Why I am not budging on it?"

Whispering, she slowly told him in gruesome detail of exactly what happened to her and her people. She pleaded with him through her words to sympathize with her, on why she turned out this way and why she just needed him to

Looking at his blank face she who raised him already knew his anger was boiling as she smiled getting the reaction she wanted.

She didn't need to embellish or stretch her tale. Just the bare minimum was enough.

Naruto, though losing his breathing pattern, still said " I won't have to do it anymore?" He said looking at her pleading.

"Of course baby! I just want the fruits of my capture to be passed on. No need for you to use it ." She said, thinking to herself in amusement.

'You don't need to use it. From what I saw you are far, far too powerful to need such parlor tricks.' She thought remembering a scene from his childhood.

Naruto swallowed as he looked up at them and felt the war between righteous anger for his mom, what he knew was right and the memories he had of them raging through his mind.

"I-i'll do it Mom. I'll do it." He said getting a loving head pat as she left him to steady himself.

Looking up at the old people with emotionally dead eyes Naruto could only constantly apologize for what he was about to do.

'I'm Sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry...' shakily he went through a stance to draw as much power as he could to perform the feat.

"I'll try to make it painless." He mumbled not only consoling them but himself as he felt the grip on them as his breath came out shortly.

One pull. Just one pull.

Just one pull. Do it. Quickly. Hurry. Kill them. Make it quick. End their pain.

"Ahh." Naruto said, shaking like a coward as he felt their struggle having an intimate look at what he was about to do before.

"*Crack*"

Dropping to the floor vomiting, Naruto sobbed bawling out his eyes as he held his chest in pain.

'Ugh...I'm I'm a m-monster.' Naruto thought as he babbled nonsense heaving deeply.

"There There. Moms here for you baby. Don't worry."

Not hearing her Naruto simply shook like a leaf constantly babbling as he exhausted himself mentally passing out.

'Finally! I knew he could do it!' She thought looking down at him, her carefully controlled face dropping the sorrow coming through full force.

She glanced at him knowing she fractured their relationship temporarily but she knew time would heal all wounds. Hopefully.

"Now that he's gotten a grasp on it we can now leave this place." She thought, sighing in relief trying to remain nonchalant, downplaying exactly what happened.

And her role in it.

'I only helped him kill some scum. So why do I feel like this? It hurts so much.'

Looking at her child picking him up stubbornly refusing to feel guilt, failing as she shook with each step she thought to herself.

'How can I make this up to him?' as she lowered her head the madness fading as her life long goal was realized and the maternal feeling came full force telling her the exact gravity of what she did.

'H-hmm he hasn't left this village in a bit so maybe a stop first?'

Of course had she stayed she would have seen the corpses break apart into small light particles forming 9 mischievous spirits intent on protecting their ward with the little power they retained as they lamented not being able to be perceived yet.

Waking up, Naruto looked up at the familiar ceiling, the haunting scene not giving him a single bit of respite immediately coming to the forefront of his mind.

Getting up going to the bathroom to wash his face and try to clear his mind he stumbled his way in.

Splashing water on his face he looked up into the mirror before shaking seeing a face.

The Old hunter's face took up the mirror, the completely black eyes staring into his soul .

Looking up in guilt Naruto shook, not able to move looking into the accusing eyes.

Hama coming up trying to see what was wrong hearing a thump immediately felt her heart rate shoot up at seeing Naruto on the floor.

"Naruto!" She quickly picked him, placing him on the bed as she quickly got a doctor to take care of him.

"Hmm. It seems his hyperventilating brought his pressure up causing him to pass out. Keep him from stressful environments and he should be alright. " The doctor said packing up as he left.

Blinking incredulously at the complete nonchalant attitude she looked sat at the end of the bed before Hama looked at the child she blackened knowing this was her doing.

'This has never happened before and right after yesterday I gave him a life long burden to satiate my lust.' She thought her breathing unsettled at the sin she committed.

"Mom? Are you ok?" Naruto said, opening his eyes and seeing her crying.

"You're worried about me after what I did?" She said, nearly laughing at the absurdity of it all.

"Ah...well, you're my mom, after all." Naruto said, looking at the ceiling blankly.

Crawling up to the top of the bed she cradled his head apologizing as she told him "Mom will try her best to never ever hurt you like that again. So please believe me in me once more."

Looking into his eyes seeing his bland nod she felt her heart ache as she realized he was patronizing her though that wasn't quite accurate.

'It doesn't matter. I'll make it up with my actions!'

Gently resting him down she said nothing, tucking him in as she left saying "Get some rest Naruto we'll leave tomorrow." As she glanced at him in apology once more.

Naruto seeing her leave looked up not thinking anything in particular, just too tired to even think.

The spirit thing was a cop out….

But, he nor she don't know they weren't real so I think its good enough.

Also I don't know if I want to give him more elements or not. Cause any bending he gets will be op due to his massive chi.
