'With Ryuko Matoi'
Outsider of the Kaiba dome were several food stands that served food that differed from what the dome offered. And given that there were breaks between matches, the duelists were allowed to stroll around, either eating some food or chatting with some friends.
Ryuko Matoi was currently strolling around, takoyaki in hand as she passed the time before her next match. "Damn. The takoyaki here's pretty good. Wish we had this one back home." Ryuko said out loud as she ate another ball.
"You should make sure not to eat too many. They are cooked with oil and that makes your blood taste disgusting." Senketsu warned her in irritation.
"Oh, bite me. At least I'm eating some veggies here and there." Ryuko countered before her mind drifted elsewhere. "Still, it's kinda boring just walking around without Mako. Wonder how she-"
"RYUKO!"
Crash*
As if the fanfiction gods were answering her prayer, Ryuko was suddenly tackled to the ground, creating a cartoonish dust cloud. Ryuko coughed a bit before she looked down and saw the person who crashed into her. "Mako?!"
Mako Mankanshoku, Ryuko's best friend back at Honnōji Academy, smiled brightly as she quickly pulled Ryuko into a tight hug. "RYUKO! I FOUND YOU! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BIG THIS PLACE WAS! I RODE THE BLUE EYES COASTER SO MANY TIMES!" Mako continued to talk rather fast as she hugged Ryuko, who looked at her friend before smiling.
"Slow down, Mako! Give a girl some room!" Ryuko laughed as Mako let her go. "Anyways, what are you doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you."
"I'm on a super secret mission!" Mako blurted out while striking her iconic pose, a spotlight turning on above her for some reason. "Lady Satsuki told me to follow you here in order to deliver a message for only your eyes to see! And I've been really good at this! Plus, I had to watch the first duel! Man, it was so cool!"
"Satsuki has a message for you? Interesting." Senketsu commented while Mako did various poses, continuing to rant about the duel.
"It's probably some bull about not disgracing Honnōji or some crap. You never know with her." Even if their relationship was SOMEWHAT stable, Ryuko was still a bit guarded around Satsuki.
Then again, when your sister 'helps' your sadistic mother try and take over the world and turn people into food for alien clothes, you tend to be a bit reluctant to trust her.
"Mako!" Ryuko called out, stopping Mako's rant. "What's the message?"
"OH!" Mako shoved a hand into her pocket, comedically looking through it before taking out a folded up piece of paper. "Here!" Ryuko took the paper before Mako backed away. "Now, if you excuse me, I'm gonna do some shopping for my parents and Mataro! Bye!" With that, Mako ran away in a cartoon dust cloud.
"She never slows down, does she?" Ryuko chuckled in amusement before looking at the paper, opening it up.
However, what was written on it caused her and Senketsu to blink in surprise.
'Good luck.'
"Interesting. I never expected that." Senketsu couldn't help but say.
"No kidding." Ryuko moved the letter, only to notice something below it. "Hold on… a card." She grabbed said card and gasping. "Holy crap! Senketsu, are you seeing this?!"
"I am. I'm just as surprised as you are." Senketsu admitted, his only eye widening in surprise. "To think Satsuki had this card."
'But why me?' Ryuko didn't know what kind of game her sister was playing, but maybe she was genuinely trying to support her. Either way, this card would be a MAJOR help for her in the tournament. So, with a smirk, Ryuko pocketed Satsuki's card.
Mikoto Misaka was going to have a hell of a surprise for her.
Speaking of Mikoto…
'With Mikoto Misaka'
On the other side of the stands, Mikoto Misaka was looking at her flip phone while humming to herself. It was clear that she was waiting for someone to respond, even if she just sent the text. "Come on, come on. Answer already…"
"SISSY!"
Mikoto took one step to the left and her 'best friend' Kuruko crashed into a trash can. "That was mean." She mumbled before vanishing. Suddenly appearing around her neck, Kuruko grabbed the phone from her hand. "Who could you possibly be texting right-"
A response came in and she froze in shock and horror. "NO! YOU'RE TEXTING A BOY! HOW COULD YOU!?"
"Hey, gimme back my phone!" Mikoto growled as sparks started shooting off her hair. Her threat went unanswered and she looked to the side, finding Kuruko typing away. "Kuroko!"
Before the twin-tailed girl could hit 'send', another hand grabbed the phone and threw it back to Mikoto. "We really need a leash for her. Or maybe even a bell around her neck."
"Thanks, Saten." The electromaster smiled back at her friend before looking at her phone. "Let's just delete this…"
"No, Sissy!" Kuroko was begging as Saten and Uriharu dragged her away.
"You know the rules, Shirai." Uiharu responded. "Only the duelists are allowed here. You're lucky the guards aren't disqualifying Mikasa for this."
"SISSY!"
"Good luck, Misaka!" Saten yelled as she and Uiharu dropped Kuroko away, earning looks from those nearby.
With an annoyed sigh, she looked down and finally saw the text she got from a certain trouble magnet.
Kamijou: 'Good luck.'
"Really? That's all? How lame." Mikoto let out a sigh before she closed her phone and walked away. However, she soon allowed a small smile to appear on her face. 'That idiot…'
'One hour later'
"And we're back, ladies and gentlemen to the Yu-Gi-Oh Multiversal Tournament!" 3rd Dragneel said into his mic as the audience cheered in joy, ready to see another duel. "Hope you guys refilled on snacks, cause this next duel's sure to hype you up!"
"I'll say, pal!" EDA agreed as he drank some of his soda. "This next duel's gonna be one for the books. We got two tomboys duking it out. In the red corner is the girl seeking vengeance for her dad, Ryuko Matoi!"
"And in the blue corner is one of Academy City's level 5 Espers, Mikoto 'Railgun' Misaka!"
The audience cheered as both ladies entered the arena, meeting each other in the middle before handing over their decks.
"Sure you wanna do this, kid? I'd hate to knock you out of the tournament today." Ryuko said while shuffling Mikoto's deck.
"Funny, I was about to say the same thing." Mikoto shot back with a challenging glare. Soon, they finished shuffling before handing each other their decks and moving towards their respective spots.
"Ladies, choose your Deck Master!" EDA shouted as they began looking for a certain monster. "So 3D, who are you rooting for?"
"That's a tough one. I do like Ryuko, but Mikoto's development is great. Plus, she can make a freaking kaiju out of iron sand!" 3rd Dragneel shouted. "And you?"
"Well unlike our last duel, I'm kinda struggling to root for someone."
"You should choose a monster who can support your strategies." Senketsu told Ryuko.
"Yeah, yeah. I know." Ryuko huffed before choosing a monster. "I choose this one!" Appearing behind Ryuko was a purple and bronze hound with sharp claws and strings above it.
"Shaddoll Hound, huh? Good choice." Ichigo commented.
"Tis a strong fusion deck." Tsukiumi added with narrowed eyes. "I will gladly cut thy strings."
"Okay… I'll use her!" Mikoto took out a card from her deck. The creature that appeared behind her was a small electric girl, lightning acting as twin tails. Clad in red and purple Chinese style clothing, her bright red eyes glared at the hound.
"Sishunder?" Saten asked from the audience before looking at Kuroko and Uiharu. "But I thought Misaka used-"
"She is. But the Hunders are good support cards." Kuroko replied.
"Besides, there's no frog card for her to pick so it's next to her." Uriharu added with a small chuckle.
"Now that the Deck Masters have been chosen, it's time to determine who goes first!" 3rd Dragneel called out as a coin appeared on the large screen before it flipped.
"Heads!" Ryuko shouted.
"Tails!" Mikoto yelled. The coin flipped a few times before landing on the virtual floor, showing the result as…
"HEADS! So Ryuko gets to start this duel! Everyone, count down with us!" The hosts stood up as Ryuko and Mikoto activated their Duel Disks.
"5… 4… 3… 2… 1… DRAW!" Both tomboys drew five cards before glaring at each other.
"DUEL/DUEL!"

"Let's kick it off, Senketsu!" Ryuko looked at her five cards before smirking. "I'll lay this monster face-down, then set a card. Turn end!" A card appeared horizontally in front of Ryuko, along with a set card behind it.
"Looks like she's taking a page from you, Senku." Ogun teased while nudging the scientist next to him.
"Not really." Senku told him. "Shaddolls are at their best when set."
"How? I never dueled anyone with those doll things." Asta said out loud.
"It's like this, Asta." Ikki started to explain. "Shaddolls might focus on fusion summons, but they also have flip effects, which only work when set."
"And they also have effects when they go to the grave thanks to another card's effect." Shana added on with her arms crossed. "Either way, Ryuko'll be able to do something if Mikoto tries anything."
"Draw!" Mikoto drew her sixth card before looking at Ryuko's unknown monster. 'I can't afford to make the same mistake Bakugo made in his Duel. Luckily…' She smiled at the card in her hand. 'I have something that'll help.'
"First, I summon Mahunder." Lightning cracked onto the field as she summoned a tall woman with long lighting hair, a large bead at the end. Clad in orange and red armor, she swung her hands as sparks coated her fists.

"I use my Deck Master's ability! Go, Voltic Charge!" Mikoto's Sishunder grinned as she put her hands together before rubbing it, conducting electricity. "Whenever I normal summon a Thunder monster, I get to add another one with a different name from my deck!" A card came out of her deck before she added it to her hand, her deck shuffling soon after. "But I can't summon it this turn."
"A Deck Master that replenishes her hand." Senketsu commented. "Impressive. Don't let your guard down."
"Duh. But that monster's too weak to beat mine." Ryuko smirked confidently.
"Now, Mahunder's effect lets me summon another Level 4 Thunder-type Light monster this turn." Mikoto grabbed another card before summoning the monster. "I choose Wattcobra."
Mahunder slammed her hands to the ground, another bolt hit the ground. A red and blue cobra slithered onto the field. Electronic wires were peaking out of the torn scales as lightning bolts were imprinted on the hood. A crystal crown erupted out of the head as the bolt shaped tongue shot out.

"Another weak monster…" Senketsu mumbled. "What is she planning?"
"Next, I activate Wattcine." Mikoto played a spell card onto the field, taking the form of ball lightning behind the female monster. "Now I'll attack with Wattcobra!"
'Good. She's playing into my hands…' Ryuko thought with a smirk. Her confidence faded away when she saw the reptilian slither past her face-down. "Wait, what?"
"Oh yeah, Wattcobra can attack directly." Mikoto said with a smirk. The snake leaped in the air before pouncing onto Ryuko, biting her right arm.

"And since a Thunder Type monster inflicted damage to you, Wattcine gives me Life Points equal to the points you lost." Wattcine glowed before a soothing green light covered Mikoto.

"Now since Wattcobra inflicted damage to you, I can add a different Watt monster to my hand." A card ejected from her deck before her hand started glowing. "Now I use Wattuna's effect. When one of my monsters inflicts battle damage to you, I can summon it from my hand."
A glow on the field allowed a blue, gold trimmed tuna to appear on the field, a lightning bolt along the side of its body.

"And guess what? Wattuna can attack directly as well." The fish shot forward, right over the face-down monster before smacking its tail onto Ryuko's face, leaving a virtual slap mark on her cheek.

"And now, Wattuna's second effect activates. When it deals battle damage to you, I can send it and one more Watt monster from my hand or field to the graveyard." Wattuna and Wattcobra left the field as Mikoto's extra deck started to glow. "Now, I can special summon one Watt Synchro monster from my Extra Deck. Come out, Wattkyuki!"
The clip clop of hooves carried a bolt of lightning forward onto the field. As the electrical field dissipated, it showed a bright red bull with blue wires for legs. The horns were also made of wire as blue and red wings composed of feathers allowed for flight. Golden horns and hooves completed the beast as it bellowed to the sky.

"Don't tell me…" Ryuko mumbled, rubbing her sore cheek.
"Yep. Direct attack." Mikoto chuckled as the bull scraped its hoof. With a snort, it charged forward as a cone of lightning surrounded it. Wattkyuki crashed into Ryuko, sending her crashing to the ground.

"Too bad for you. Wattkyuki has another special ability!" Mikoto announced as her monster and graveyard began to glow. "When he deals you damage, I can shuffle one Thunder monster on the field and a Watt Tuner from my graveyard to bring out another Watt Synchro!"
"Another Synchro summon during the same battle?!" Arslan gasped in shock.
"With these two monsters, I'll bring out a terrifying monster!" Mahunder glowed and returned to the deck as Wattuna shot out of the graveyard. She quickly shuffled both into her deck before pulling out another synchro monster. "I summon Watthydra!"
A single bolt of lightning split into seven heads, all connected to the main body, ending in a yellow, metal wrapped tail. White, red and blue scales covered the beast as screws allowed the mouths to open and hiss, lightning arcing off the fangs.

"Okay, I get the bit! Just do it already!" Ryuko interrupted while getting back up.
"Well, you heard her. Watthydra, direct attack!" All seven heads shot forward, each firing a bolt out of their mouths. They merged into one and zapped Ryuko, turning her hair into an afro.

"And Watthydra's effect lets me banish one card in my deck before letting me add it to my hand two turns from now." A card ejected from her deck before she threw it into a swirling void. "I think that's enough for one turn. I'll end with a face-down." A single card appeared behind the pachyderm, ending her turn.
"Holy Tostitos, folks! In just one turn, Mikoto brought down Ryuko's life points to the 3000s! And all without attacking her monster!" 3rd Dragneel shouted as everyone cheered.
"Okay…" Ryuko stood up, shaking her hair back to normal before giving her opponent a glare. "Now I'm PISSED!" She drew her next card before smirking. "First, I flip summon my monster, Shaddoll Dragon!" Ryuko's face-down monster flipped over, revealing a dark purple puppet that resembled a Chinese dragon with kite wings, yellow eyes and dark strings on its body.

"And when this guy's flipped, one of your cards goes back to your hand!" Ryuko said as Mikoto gasped in shock. "And I choose… YOUR FACE-DOWN!" Dark strings came out of the sky before wrapping around Mikoto's card, disintegrating it. The electromaster frowned as she put the card back in her hand. "Next, I'll put this face-down." A new card appeared next to Ryuko's other face-down. "And activate a little field spell called Curse of the Shadow Prison!"
The duel arena suddenly began to transform into a large desert with several yellow stones, with multiple black holes scattered around.
"I'll tell you what it does a little later, cause now I play the card I just set, Card Destruction!" A spell with an image of a demonic hand dropping cards appeared on Ryuko's field. "Now, we both gotta ditch the cards in our hands! But don't feel too bad." Ryuko discarded her remaining two cards before drawing two new ones. "We get to draw the same number from our decks."
"A brilliant strategy! Now, Misaka has lost the cards she gained due to her Deck Master!" Rengoku complimented with a smile.
"As well as the trap she was forced to take back." Setsuna muttered.
Mikoto gritted her teeth before she sent her entire hand to the grave, drawing three new cards. Suddenly, Ryuko's graveyard began to glow.
"Lucky me. I just sent Shaddoll Hedgehog to the grave, which activates his special ability!" A card came out of Ryuko's deck before she took it. "I get to add a Shaddoll monster from my deck to my hand. And there's more! Another card I sent was Shaddoll Falco, which lets me summon it face-down whenever he's sent to the grave by a card effect!" Ryuko took a monster from the grave and set it on her field. Suddenly, two of the stones on the field began to glow.
Curse of the Shadow Prison: 0 - 2 Spellstone Counters
"What's all this about?" Mikoto asked with narrowed eyes.
"Oh, don't worry about that. It's just my field spell getting Spellstone counters every time a Shaddoll gets sent to my grave." Ryuko shrugged before she smirked and showed Mikoto a spell card, which had an image of two shadows merging together. "I play Shaddoll Fusion!"
"This isn't good for Mikoto." Rudeus said with a frown, earning confused looks from some of the duelists.
"I can fusion summon a Shaddoll monster thanks to this spell! Normally, I'd use monsters on my field and hand, but thanks to you, I get to use monsters from my deck!" Ryuko revealed.
"Thanks to me… OH NO!" Mikoto realized her mistake as she looked at her monsters.
"What about her deck?" Inosuke asked, completely out of the loop.
"It's her spell card." Vladilena began to explain. "You see, normally, Shaddoll Fusion would work like a Polymerization. But, if the opponent happens to have a monster summoned from the Extra Deck…" She then gestured to Mikoto's Synchro monsters. "Like Wattkyubi or Watthydra, then she can use monsters from her deck as material."
"That's probably why she didn't use Dragon's effect to bounce Wattkyuki or Watthydra back into the Extra Deck. Smart." Kinji complemented as he focused on the duel.
"I fuse both Shaddoll Beast and Shaddoll Zefranaga from my deck!" Two cards ejected out of Ryuko's deck before the monsters appeared above her. The first was a large purple sabertooth tiger-like puppet with a white underbelly, sharp fangs, a spike tipped tail, and four red eyes. And the second was a knight-like monster with majestic white wings, a white knight helmet, and a red jewel on its chest. The two monsters turned into shadows before a dark vortex swallowed them, merging them together. "I fusion summon El Shaddoll Winda!"
Appearing in the place of Beast and Zefranaga was a large purple wyvern-like puppet with a yellow jaw, sharp fangs, black eyes, and a purple green-haired warrior on its back, pulling it up with strings.

"Incredible, folks! Not only did we witness Mikoto bringing out her Synchro monster, but Ryuko countered with a Fusion!" EDA shouted as Curse of the Shadow Prison gained two more Spellstone Counters.

"Two more effects activate!" Ryuko announced as he graveyard began to glow. "First, since Beast was sent to the grave, I get to draw another card!" She did just that before pointing to her Deck Master. "Then, my Deck Master's ability activates! Howling Marionette!" Shaddoll Hound let out a loud howl, causing strings to shoot out of its back before entering Ryuko's graveyard. "Whenever I bring out a fusion monster, I get to add one of the monsters used to fuse it back into my hand! So I choose Zefranaga!" The Pendulum monster ejected out of her graveyard before she added it to her hand. "The only drawback is I can't summon or set him this turn."
"Wow. Their Deck Masters are so similar." Mina pointed out in surprise.
"One adds a monster from the deck while another adds from the graveyard." Homura 'thought' to herself. "If anything, they might be long lost sisters. Though I should probably keep that to myself.
"Too late, cutie." Kurumi giggled at Homura before looking back at the duel. "Still, for their Deck Masters to have similar abilities… this duel might be even more fun than I thought."
"Time to fight! Winda, take out her bull!" Winda commanded the puppet to turn towards Wattkyuki before flying it, biting down on its neck. All the Synchro monster could do was scream before it was destroyed.

"Dragon, your turn! Finish off her Watthydra!" Ryuko's monster opened its mouth before unleashing purple flames onto Watthydra, causing the multi-headed monster to burn up and explode.

"I'll end my turn with one set monster and another face-down!" Ryuko confidently said while setting a card, as well as another monster.
"That was an excellent comeback, Ryuko. Well done." Senketsu told his partner genuinely.
"Yeah, but now that I know her monsters can hit me, I need to find a workaround." Ryuko replied in a serious tone.
'Okay. That was a good comeback.' Mikoto thought begrudgingly as she drew her card.
"By the way, if you're thinking about bringing another Synchro out, Winda's special ability forces us both to only special summon ONCE a turn." Ryuko grinned at the irritated look on her opponent's face.
"Well damn. She's really locking the kid down." Kotetsu whistled.
'Okay, in that case…' Mikoto reached for the furthest card in her hand. "First, I play Recycling Batteries. With this, I can add two Thunder monsters from my graveyard back to my hand." Her graveyard glowed before two monsters shot out, returning to her hand.
"Now, I bring back an old friend of yours. Wattcobra is back!" The serpent returned to the field once more, hissing in anticipation.

Much to her surprise, the stones on the field began to glow before strings shot out of the ground, wrapping around Wattcobra. "What's going on?!"
"Remember when I said my Prison has Spellstone Counters?" Ryuko asked with a grin. "Well, during YOUR turn, your monsters lose 100 points for every counter I have. And last I checked, I have four!" Wattcobra began to groan as it felt some of its power being drained.

"Huh. So now if the pipsqueak tries attacking, it won't do much." Zora commented out loud.
Mikoto let out an annoyed grunt, but continued her move regardless. "Voltic Charge activates again since I normal summoned Wattcobra." More lightning sparked off her deck master as she pulled a card out from her deck. "Next, I play the field spell Wattcastle!" A large brightly colored castle appeared around the two girls, a bolt of lightning charging Wattcobra. "I'll place one card face-down, and end my turn." A face-down appeared next to Wattcine as the strings around Wattcobra snapped.

"She didn't attack. Guess she's worried about taking damage." Ogun commented.
"But if that's the case, why summon Wattcobra in attack mode?" Mina asked with a confused frown.
"My guess is she wants Ryuko to attack." Senku said before pointing at Mikoto's sole face-down. "And I bet she'll use that."
"Don't rush into battle. Take a moment to think of a strategy." Senketsu reminded Ryuko as she drew her card.
"Got it. And I think I have one." Ryuko drew her next card before opening a hand towards her right face-down monster. "I flip summon my Shaddoll Falco!" The card flipped face up, revealing a purple mechanical falcon with bronze highlights and red eyes.

"And whenever my little pal's flipped, I get to summon another Shaddoll from my graveyard face-down!" Ryuko's graveyard began to glow before a card came out and she set it on the field. "But why stop at one flip summon when I can do two?!" Ryuko's other face-down monster was flipped face up, revealing a dark lizard-like puppet with a bronze outline and a long tail.

"Oh, and did I forget to mention that when Squamata's flipped, one of your monsters gets crushed?" Ryuko asked rhetorically as dark strings wrapped around Mikoto's Wattcobra, squeezing it tightly until it exploded.
"Now Misaka's got no monsters to defend her." Yuta gasped in shock.
"Time for an all-out attack!" Ryuko threw her first at Mikoto. "Winda, attack her directly!" The Fusion monster began to charge energy into its mouth before unleashing onto Mikoto.
"Not so fast!" Mikoto shouted as she extended her hand. "I play my trap, Wattguard!" Her face-down rose, revealing a trap with an image of Wattkyuki being protected by a yellow shield. "With this, I can choose a Watt monster in the grave and summon it to the field in attack mode, equipping it with my trap! So let's welcome back Wattkyuki!" A large bolt of lightning struck Mikoto's field before her Synchro monster returned to the field.

"Unfortunately, my trap negates Wattkyuki's effects and lowers his attack by 600." Mikoto's monster lowered its head, feeling some of its power being taken away.

"So what? I'll just take it down again!" Ryuko shouted as Shaddoll Winda continued its attack, striking Wattkyuki in full force.
"I forgot to mention!" Mikoto began to explain as an electric shield appeared around Wattkyuki. "As long as Wattkyuki's equipped with Wattguard, he can't be destroyed in battle! And thanks to Wattcastle, when your monster attacks my Watt monster, it loses 1000 attack points!" Wattcastle blasted Winda with several bolts of lightning, weakening it.

Despite the small setback, Winda continued to attack, with some of its flames bouncing off Wattkyuki and hitting Mikoto.

"Okay. That wasn't bad." Ryuko muttered before she grinned. "But don't think I'm done! I play the trap, Shaddoll Marionette!" Ryuko's middle face-down rose as it showed an image of a ventriloquist controlling several Shaddoll monsters. "With this, I can send one Shaddoll on my field to the grave and give another one its attack points! So say goodbye to Dragon!" Shaddoll Dragon began to glow before turning into energy, which was transferred to Squamata. Another counter was added onto Curse of the Shadow Prison.

"Now, I can destroy one of your spell or trap cards, so your castle's getting trashed!" Mikoto gritted her teeth as her Wattcastle crumbled to dust. "Squamata, attack Wattkyuki!" The lizard-like puppet leapt in the air before clawing at the winged bovine, though it was soon protected by Wattguard.

Mikoto drew a card as a smirk caught Ryuko's attention. "Should have finished me off sooner. Cause now, my banished card gets added to my hand." A swirling vortex appeared next to her before she reached in, pulling out her card. "And now, I tribute Wattkyuki to summon Zaborg the Lightning Monarch!" Both the bull and the trap card it was connected to formed a circuit before erupting into a current, revealing a tall monster. Clad in silver armor and a green helmet plume, the being held the lightning in his hands.

Flexing his hand, the monarch summoned a bolt of lightning before hurling it forward. The electric energy punctured the dark monster before it exploded, leaving Ryuko with one less monster.
"Since you sent him to the grave with a card effect, Squamata's effect activates! Letting me send another Shaddoll Beast from my deck to the grave!" Ryuko took out a card from her deck and sent it to the graveyard, drawing a new card thanks to Beast.

"I might not be able to take down Winda, but I can attack your Falco!" Placing its hands together, it spread them apart as a ball of lightning formed in Zaborg's grasp. With a single thrust, the orb shot forward and hit Shadoll Falco.

"I don't get it." Asta asked with a head tilt. "If Mikoto's Monarch could take down any monster, why not destroy Winda?"
"She's taking out the Tuner monster so Matoi can't use it for a Synchro summon." Julis pointed out as if it was the most obvious thing. "Besides, Winda can't be destroyed by card effects, so even if she considered using Zaborg, it wouldn't work."
"It was also the option that caused her to regain the most Life Points." Elenora added. "She wanted more of a gap between them."
"Now, I use Thunder Sea Horse's effect!" Mikoto held a card before sending it to the graveyard. "By discarding this card, I can add two Thunder monsters with the same name to my hand." Two cards ejected from her deck before she added them to her hand.
"I'll end my turn with two face-downs." Two cards appeared on her field as Zaborg returned to full strength.

"Draw!" Ryuko looked at her card before adding it to her hand. "I flip summon my Shaddoll Beast!" Her last face-down monster was flipped, revealing her Shaddoll Beast as it growled at Mikoto.

"And this cat's got a nice ability! When he's flipped up, I can draw two cards, then discard one." Ryuko drew her cards before discarding a spell card. She then smirked as she saw the other card she had drawn. "You can never have too many fusion monsters."
"Uh oh. I think I know what she's gonna do." Kazuto muttered with narrowed eyes.
"I play my Quick-Play spell, El Shaddoll Fusion!" Ryuko activated a spell card with an image of Leo, The Keeper of the Sacred Tree roaring at Winda as it created a portal. "With this, I get to fuse Shaddoll Zefranaga and Nehshaddoll Genius in my hand!" Appearing over Ryuko were two monsters. One of which was Zefranaga while the other was a purple and silver puppet with silver 'hair', rock armor and a glowing red eye. Both monsters were then sucked into a vortex up above. "Say hello to my big friend, El Shaddoll Shekhinaga!"
The vortex soon brought in a new monster, who flew down next to Winda. It was a large puppet that had El Shaddoll Construct sitting in a throne, with four large purple and white towers around it and dark strings holding it together.

"This won't be easy for Mikoto." Ichigo said while rubbing his chin.
"That's right. Shekhinaga can negate one of her special summoned monster's effects." Shino added with a frown. "Matoi has essentially locked down Misaka's options."
"But it doesn't look like Mikoto's worried." Rebecca pointed out as the younger of the two was relatively calm.
"Before I attack, Hound's gonna snag me a monster!" Ryuko's Deck Master howled as Nehshaddoll Genius got added back into her hand. "Alright, Shekhinaga! Take out her Monarch! Shattering Strings!" The large fusion monster brought up its strings before bringing them down hard towards Zaborg.
"I activate Lumenize!" Mikoto flipped over a trap card, showing a bright light blinding a monster. "Now, I can negate your attack. Not only that, I can target one Light monster I control, and it gains that monster's attack points until the end of my next turn."
The card started shining brightly, blinding some of the crowd, before a beam hit Zaborg, strengthening the monarch.

"Woah. A monster with 5000 attack points." Gohan exclaimed in surprise. "Mikoto's really pushing herself to win."
"This is a problem." Senketsu muttered. "If Zaborg lands an attack, even with Prison's effect, you'll lose."
"Thanks, Captain Obvious." Ryuko said sarcastically before looking at her hand. "I'll lay this face-down and switch Winda into defense. I end my turn." Ryuko's monster kneeled down as a card appeared behind it.

Mikoto drew a card and smiled at her hand. "First, Zaborg, attack Winda!" The Thunder monster launched a bolt of lightning at the monster, puncturing it before it exploded from the inside out.

Pahunder erupted into light before thrusting his hands forward, blasting the fusion monster into nothingness.
"Thanks for that! Cause now Shekhinaga's effect activates!" Ryuko declared as her graveyard began to glow. "When it's sent to the grave, I get to take a Shaddoll spell or trap and add it to my hand." She smirked while showing Mikoto her Shaddoll Fusion back in her hand.

Clad in a blue shirt and pants with large bolts on the side, two green orbs covered the shoes.

"Three level four monsters?" Arslan muttered before he smiled. "She's going to XYZ summon!"
"The first one in this whole thing!" Asta added, practically rocking his chair in anticipation.
"Now, I overlay Otonari Thunder, Wattpheasant and Pahunder!" All three monsters turned into lights before shooting into the air. A spiraling mass resembling space appeared on the field before the lights crashed into the center. "With these three monsters, I build the Overlay Network and I XYZ summon Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon!" The center exploded in a bright light as an echoing roar filled the arena.
A shadow emerged from the light, a long body leading to a massive head. Yellow frills emerged from the top of the head and the side of the mouth as razor teeth filled the jaw. Golden lines cascaded backwards as the number '91' was branded onto the side of the head. Three glowing orbs floated around it, each leaving a trailing aura.

"Dude, that's only happened in Zexal." EDA replied, though he quickly checked his notes before nodding. "Nope. The Numbers are just normal cards, so we are good."
"Nice monster. Too bad you already attacked this turn!" Ryuko declared confidently.
"Ryuko, I don't think she's done." Senketsu pointed out as Mikoto smirked.
"Now I play Thunder Recharge." Mikoto played a card showing an engine working overtime, electricity sparking out. "With this, I can add two more Overlay Units, using monsters from my graveyard, as long as they have the same level! I choose Thunder Sea Horse and Wattcobra!"
Thunder Sea Horse and Wattcobra emerged from the graveyard before transforming into glowing orbs, surrounding the dragon.
Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon

"I Now activate Thunder Spark Dragon's effect! I detach all five Overlay Units to destroy every card you control!"
"SAY WHAT?!" Ryuko gasped with wide eyes. All five Overlay Units flew into the monster's mouth before a massive rain of lightning crashed down, destroying Ryuko's Beast, as well as her two face-downs. In addition to this, Ryuko's Prison shattered, taking all the Spellstone Counters it gathered away.

"Holy crap. She took out Ryuko's whole field." Yang said in shock.
"I'll end my turn with a face down." Mikoto declared, placing a card on the field. Zaborg lost the glow as his power returned to normal.

"Man, that was close!" Asta shouted with his hands clenched. "This duel's freaking awesome!"
"So far, young Mikoto has taken the lead." Tsukiumi commented with her arms under her bust. "Ryuko must secure a winning draw."
'This might be my last turn.' Ryuko thought as she looked at her deck, putting two fingers on top of it. 'Come on. Let me draw what I need!' With a deep breath, Ryuko drew her next card and looked at it, only to gasp. 'No freaking way!'
"Ryuko! That's Satsuki's card!" Even Senketsu seemed to be shocked by this while his partner grinned.
"Oh, you are so screwed!" Ryuko chuckled, much to Mikoto's confusion. "First, I'm playing Shaddoll Fusion! Since you have an XYZ monster, I get to use monsters in my deck to fusion summon!" Ryuko grabbed two monsters from her deck and showed them to Mikoto, revealing another Dragon and what looked like a burning knight. "I fuse my Shaddoll Dragon and Helshaddoll Hollow to bring a fiery new monster! Say hello to El Shaddoll Grysta!"
Both Shaddoll monsters briefly appeared on the field before turning into shadows and fusing together. Once they entered a mortal, a new creature emerged, standing proudly in front of Ryuko. It was a knight, clad in burning red armor with a single curved horn on the side of its head, flowing blonde hair, and wings composed of flames on its back.

"Dragon's effect activates again!" Ryuko declared as her graveyard began to glow. "Now, I get destroy one of your spell or traps, so say goodbye to Wattcine!" Mikoto's spell exploded, much to her annoyance. Hound used its ability once again, allowing Ryuko to get back Dragon. "Then, I play Monster Reborn to bring back Shekhinaga!" The Earth fusion returned to the field, next to Grysta.

"Next, I'll summon my Deck Master to the field!" Everyone, especially Mikoto, widened their eyes as Hound leapt onto the field, growling at Zaborg and Thunder Spark Dragon.

"Well would you look at that? Ryuko just summoned her Deck Master!" EDA called out. "Now, if it leaves the field, she'll lose. Hope she knows what she's doing."
"Oh, I do." Ryuko suddenly discarded a card. "To play this card, I need to get rid of another." She grinned as she lifted another card in the air, showing it to everyone.
"Wait… no way!" Mikoto gasped in horror as she instantly recognized it.
"Is that…" Rebecca muttered.
"Yup… it's that." Ogun added, unable to hide his shock.
"Who would've thought she'd have that card?" Kotetsu joined in.
"I activate… SUPER POLYMERIZATION!" Ryuko declared as virtual dark clouds appeared over the Kaiba dome. "With this, I get to fusion summon using monsters on my field…" Her grin grew as she looked at Mikoto's XYZ monster. "And one from YOURS!"
Mikoto could only watch as her Thunder Spark Dragon, as well as Ryuko's Hound were suddenly pulled into a vortex above. A bright light emerged from the vortex, forcing some people to shield their eyes as a new monster began to descend. Ryuko closed her eyes and began to chant.
"A puppet of light and darkness ascends down to punish the wicked! Her luminous gaze strikes fear onto those who defy her!" Ryuko grabbed a card from her Extra Deck and slammed it onto her Duel Disk. "I fusion summon El Shaddoll Construct!"
Ryuko's new monster was a human-like puppet, clad in a dark purple 'dress', a large purple 'skirt' around its hips, and multiple strings around it.

"I didn't expect that to happen. Ryuko played one of the strongest spell cards in the game!" 3rd Dragneel shouted as the audience went wild.
"I believe it's time for an All Out Attack, don't you agree?" Senketsu asked with a knowing tone.
"Hell yeah. But first, I'm activating Construct's effect!" Ryuko called out as her deck began to glow. "I get to send a Shaddoll card from my deck to the grave, and I choose another Falco!" She sent the small Tuner to the grave, only to summon it face-down on the field due to its effect. "Next, I'm gonna give your monster a little gift with Nitro Unit!" Suddenly, a large device appeared behind Zaborg, attaching to its back. "Battle! Shekhinaga, take out Zaborg with Shattering Strings!" Shekhinaga pulled out its strings before bringing them down onto the monarch, slicing right through it before it exploded.

"Oh, and since your monster got destroyed while Nitro Unit was on it, you take damage equal to Zaborg's attack points!" Mikoto gritted her teeth as a red aura surrounded her.

"Grysta, Construct! Attack!" Mikoto's fire and light fusion monsters took out their own strings before whopping them towards Mikoto, sending her flying.

"SISSY/MISAKA!" Kuroko, Saten and Uiharu all called out in concern.
"I end my turn." Ryuko felt satisfied with herself, having done a significant amount of damage to Mikoto. 'And if she tries special summoning, I can use Grysta to negate it. And Shekhinaga can stop its special effects. Either way, I win.'
Pushing herself up, Mikoto dusted herself off before taking a breath. 'Come on. You can do this, Mikoto.' She briefly looked over to her friends. 'He's probably watching too…' With fire in her eyes, Mikoto drew her next card. "I summon another Wattpheasant!" A second bird appeared on the field, flapping its wings.

"Voltic Charge activates, letting me add another Thunder monster to my hand." A card ejected from her deck before she added it to her hand. "Next, I activate Wattkeeper. This lets me special summon one level 4 or lower Watt monster from my graveyard. I chose Wattcobra!"
A brightly colored toy box appeared on the field, bursting open with an electrical hand.
"No can do! Once per turn, I can send one Shaddoll monster from my hand so Grysta can negate a special summon!" Ryuko declared as she discarded her only Shaddoll card, causing Grysta to blast Mikoto's card. "Lucky for you, that card didn't have an effect, but the end result's the same!"
Despite the setback, Mikoto continued. "Fine… then I summon Sishunder to the field." The short girl jumped onto the field, landing next to the animal.

"Now they're both risking it all." Zora said before a grin appeared on his face. "This'll be good."
"Now since I have two Thunder monsters with different names on the field, I can play Wattstorm!" A spell card appeared on the field, showing a massive thunderstorm with brightly colored lighting. "I banish five Level Four or lower thunder monsters in my graveyard and with it, I negate the effects of all monsters currently on the field, minus Thunder monsters!"
The bright storm shot out of the card and covered the field, lightning bolts striking all of Ryuko's monsters.
"I build the electric circuit!" Mikoto declared, much to everyone's surprise.
"Dude, is she about to do what I think she's gonna do!?" 3rd Dragneel asked his co host.
"I think she is!" EDA replied.
"I set both Sishunder and Wattgiraffe as Link Markers!" The two Thunder monsters turned red before shooting up into the sky. A giant symbol appeared in the sky before both hit two arrows on the bottom. "I Link Summon Some Summer Summoner!"
A bright light filled the arena before a white cloud appeared. Floating on it was a large dark skinned swimmer with a yellow afro. Clad in snorkels, sunglasses and pink flippers, he leaned back and relaxed, despite the storm.

"What about Ritual and Pendulum?" EDA couldn't help but ask.
"I said EXTRA DECK. But the tournament's still young, so who knows?" With that, the hosts sat back down, ready to see what epic comeback Mikoto will pull-
"I end my turn." Mikoto declared, stunning everyone.
"What!? She should've done something! That's lame!" Inosuke shouted as he prepared to jump down, only being held back by security.
"Her Link monster isn't strong enough for an attack. And it seems like she has no cards to help boost its strength." Misha spoke up for the first time in the tournament.
"Oh, so you can talk. Good to know." Gohan admitted with a smile.
"The hell was the point of all that?" Ryuko asked, drawing a card.
"This! Some Summer Summoner's quick effect activates." Mikoto declared, the swimmer popping off his shades. "I discard one card, and special summon one Thunder monster from my graveyard. I will bring back Thunderclap Skywolf!"
The Link monster tapped his cloud before a wolf fell out, the blue fur glowing with power. Yellow bone plates ran along the chest and mouth, pure energy leaking out of the mouth.

"I never got rid of that card!" Ryuko froze before replaying the duel in her head.
"Wait, it might be possible…" Senketsu had a theory.
"Yeah, thanks again for Card Destruction." Mikoto said with a smile. "Cause when Thunderclap Skywolf is special summoned from the graveyard, it destroys all face-up monsters you control!"
"NNNNOOOOO!" A howl ripped through the arena before the wolf opened its mouth, destroying every monster on Ryuko's field.
"With Ryuko's Construct destroyed, she automatically loses!" The hosts both announce as the audience cheered.
"DAMN IT!" Ryuko gritted her teeth in frustration at her loss. She even used Satsuki's spell, yet in the end, she lost.
"Don't feel so down. After all, you fought with all your might." Senketsu reassured her with a soft tone. "I'm proud of you, and I'm sure everyone else is as well."
"Hey." Mikoto walked up to her opponent, a smile on her face as she held out a hand. "That was a tough duel. Thanks for that."
"Yeah, well if I didn't bring out Hound, I would've won." Ryuko grumbled.
"Ryuko…"
"But… it was also kinda fun." Letting out a huff, Ryuko then adopted a smile as she shook Mikoto's hand. "Your Watts are annoying as well though."
"I can say the same about your Shaddolls." Mikoto shot back. They stared at one another before sharing a small laugh.
"Ryuko, that was a great duel." EDA told the tomboy before giving a sad expression. "But unfortunately, you're out of the tournament."
"Yeah, yeah. I know." Ryuko waved it off before leaving the arena, her picture on the monitor turning black.
"With that, duel number 2 has concluded, folks!" 3rd Dragneel announced. "However, before we announce the next matchup, me and EDA have a special surprise."
"That's right, pal. Our tournament's gonna do this a bit differently." EDA said with a grin, confusing everyone. "We all know that in a lot of tournaments, the matchups go from left to right. But in this case, we'll be doing a bit of a switch-a-roo."
This confused many of the duelists and audience.
"To make it simple: for the first two duels of each day, we'll select matches from the left side. But for the last two duels, we'll go from the right. So, for our next duel…" 3rd Dragneel smiled as he aimed a hand towards the duelists booth, where two spotlights shine on Levy and Gohan. "Will be Levy McGarden vs Son Gohan!"
"Oh. So we're already dueling." Gohan muttered before he smiled at Levy. "This should be fun."
"Yeah. Though, I do wish they'd give us more time to prepare." Levy chuckled, but returned his smile regardless.
"See you all in two hours!"
