"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow, Dad. Bye." Rena smiled as she hung up the phone.

She asked Rosa if she could call her dad since Rena hadn't told him she was spending the night with her. Rena was sitting on the floor with Maria, both changed into clothes to sleep in. Rena was wearing the pajamas she had picked out while at the store, while Maria was in a white short-sleeve body suit.

"Ready for our sleepover?" Rena smiled as she looked down at Maria, who smiled back at her.

"So your dad knows you're here now?" Rosa came out of the bathroom wearing the pajamas Rena had picked out for her.

"Yep." Rena stood up after grabbing Maria and holding her. "I told him I'd see him tomorrow, and he said that was fine."

"Sounds like your dad gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to doing whatever." Rosa giggled.

"I guess you could say that." Rena giggled. "By the way, do you like the pajamas I picked out?"

"I do." Rosa smiled as she looked down at them. "You're very good at picking out clothing. Maybe I should hire you if Shion's plan works."

"Awe!" Rena danced in place, smiling. "Thank you so much! You're the best, Rosa!"

Rosa smiled as Maria giggled in Rena's arms. When Rena had calmed down, she sat on the bed with Rosa and asked if she could do her nails. Rosa agreed and held her hands out.

"So you're fine with red?" Rena asked, holding a bottle of red nail polish.

"Red's good with me." Rosa nodded.

Rena slowly painted each of Rosa's nails. Rosa watched as Rena slowly brushed each nail until it was completely covered. Once she was done with her left hand, Rosa flipped it around to look closely at her work.

"I like your work so far, Rena." Rosa smiled.

"Thanks." Rena smiled back. "It's fun finally getting to do this."

"You never do this with your friends?" Rosa raised an eyebrow.

"Well, sometimes Rika agrees to it." Rena started on Rosa's right hand. "Mion doesn't like any makeup stuff, though. And she's the one I spend nights with the most."

"I figured that." Rosa giggled. "She seems more like a tomboy."

"It makes it boring sometimes that she doesn't like doing stuff like this." Rena frowned as she continued.

"Tell her Keiichi likes girls that are more feminine." Rosa joked. "That might get her to do more stuff like that."

"Maybe." Rena giggled as she finished. "That's funny you say that. Keiichi won a doll once and gave it to Mion right after. He told her it was more suited for her."

"That's nice of Keiichi." Rosa smiled as she checked her nails. "The poor girl looked ready to pass out when I kissed Keiichi in front of her. I forgot about her having a crush on him before I did that."

"Sure you did." Rena rolled her eyes.

"It was." Rosa giggled.

"Maria," Rena turned to look at her. "Your Mama is a bad liar."

Maria just giggled in response as Rena smiled at her.

"Okay, I might have had that thought in my head," Rosa explained. "But it really was my way of thanking him for protecting the both of you."

"If you say so." Rena stuck her tongue out at her.

"Anyways," Rosa said, grabbing a bottle of pink nail polish. "Want me to do your nails now?"

"If you don't mind." Rena smiled as she offered her hands.

"So I take it it's just Mion into Keiichi?" Rosa started painting one nail. "Not you, Shion, Satoko, or Rika?"

"Pretty much." Rena giggled. "I like Keiichi, but it's because he's a good friend I can depend on. As for Satoko and Rika, I think they just see him like a big brother that they sometimes have to take care of."

"I see." Rosa continued. "What about Shion?"

"Shion's more interested in someone else." Rena sighed.

"I'm guessing it's Satoshi?" Rosa finished one of Rena's hands.

"Yeah, it's him." Rena frowned as she looked down.

"I had a feeling that was the case." Rosa sighed as she continued to the next hand. "When Rika first told me, I thought Satoshi was a terrible brother who left his poor sister alone."

"I liked Satoshi, but I was mad at him too." Rena kept looking down. "I couldn't believe he left Satoko alone like that."

"Well, Shion clarified there is more to the story." Rosa continued as she finished Rena's nails. "I don't know what happened, but I'll take her word for it. That doesn't mean I won't have some words if he ever shows up again."

"I'd have some, too, if I saw him." Rena sighed as she checked her nails before smiling. "Thanks, by the way."

"You're welcome." Rosa smiled as she put the nail polish bottle down. "Assuming he really did love Satoko, I think he'd be proud of her. She's as tough as she is sweet."

"I think she'd hate part of that description." Rena giggled.

"Not if it's related to taking care of Maria." Rosa smiled as she picked up Maria and sat her on her lap. She then patted Maria's head and looked down at her. "Don't you think Satoko is sweet whenever she's taking care of you?"

Maria giggled again as she looked up at her mom.

"I can see Satoko giving that a pass for those circumstances." Rena smiled. "I think she also likes that she isn't the baby of the group anymore."

"Is she the youngest?" Rosa raised an eyebrow.

"By almost a year," Rena replied. "Rika will turn 12 next month, and Satoko won't turn 12 until June."

"I see." Rosa nodded. "Maybe having Maria around makes her happy that she isn't the baby anymore."

"Maybe." Rena giggled. "Doesn't mean Shion won't stop treating her like one, though."

"True." Rosa giggled back. "Shion's probably happy that Satoko isn't a baby and having to deal with everything a baby needs."

"Like what?" Rena raised an eyebrow.

Almost on cue, Maria started to cry again, getting both of their attention. Rosa could smell the reason Maria was crying and stood up.

"Like this." Rosa sighed as she rolled out a changing mat on the floor and put Maria on it. "It's okay, Mama's here."

"I'll grab your bag for you." Rena got up and walked to the diaper bag.

"Thanks, Rena." Rosa smiled as she opened the bottom of Maria's bodysuit.

"You mind if I do it?" Rena sat the bag next to Rosa. "I haven't gotten to practice yet, and I want to be ready in case I'm taking care of Maria on my own again."

"You sure you can handle this?" Rosa smiled up at Rena. "Shion almost passed out when I made her practice on Maria."

"I'm sure, sure." Rena nodded.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Rosa giggled as she stood up. Rena kneeled in front of Maria, who was still crying.

"Don't worry, Maria." Rena smiled as she started undoing the tabs on her diaper. "I'll have you changed in no time."
