"...After that dear listeners we will be discussing Germany's Führer and should we be concerned about him but now it is my sad unfortunate duty to inform you that the New Orleans Butcher has struck again with 3 more victims! I will be able to inform you of the identities of the victims of this latest tragedy once the authorities have identified the victims since the Butcher has left them pretty much unrecognisable. Folks, I can understand these are dark times and just like with that little stock crash we had years ago and the Great War you don't know if it's worth living anymore but I implore to not lose hope and wait for the light at the end of the tunnel. I am with you ladies and gentlemen, waiting for this monster to be caught so that he can be electrocuted and sent to Hell where he belongs. Then finally the victims and their families can rest easy..."
Lincoln was shivering at the sound of the radio broadcast that was playing on his phone, belonging to the family's great-great uncle Alastor Loud a radio show host who had covered then recent events including a notorious serial killer at the time called the New Orleans Butcher who was never caught. For a school homework project he had to talk about an ancestor and his dad had told him about Alastor whose charisma and reporting kept his audience engaged. He was glad to finally finish writing it as there were quite a lot of unpleasant old news in the recordings that he had to listen to help with his project.
He then picked up the report and wondered if he should ask Lori to have a look since she was in charge since their parents were out to an appointment with Lana and Lori. He opened the door and jumped as there was Lucy standing by the door. "Lincoln, do you want to have a look at my latest poem? Plus I have been practicing drawing pentagrams so I want to ask you what you think?"
Lincoln put on a smile as he was about to tell her that he would be happy to have a look as she passed him the pentagram drawing. However he had then heard Lynn shouting "Lincoln think fast!" Lincoln was unprepared as Lynn had thrown a ball at his head pushing him towards the stairs where he had tripped on a banana peel.
"Aw Lincoln, I hadn't yet put the tub filled with ice cream to land in yet..." moaned Luan in disappointment while standing by the stairs as Lincoln screamed while falling down. Coming up the stairs was Lori talking on the phone to Bobby with Leni helping her carrying up some new beauty products.
Lincoln ended up crashing into her and got up picking up the closet bit of paper but then saw Lori getting up and noticing the stain from her new products on her shirt. "I am so sorry Lori, it was an accident..." Lincoln said apologetically as she had gotten up and looked angry.
"Just go Lincoln, go before I can't resist the urge to turn you into a pretzel! Sometimes I wish that I didn't have a brother!" Lori screamed and Lincoln blinked looking hurt which Leni noticed as she had gotten up. He then decided to get some space away from her so that she could calm down and then went out the front door.
Lincoln had a look of hurt as he had shut the front door with more force than necessary giving it an accidental slam, once she had calmed down then he could explain what had happened. He knew that she didn't really mean it as despite the fights and the feeling that he felt outnumbered by his siblings and not feeling as good as they are, they all loved eachother.
"Maybe I can go to Clyde's and his dads could check over my report..." Lincoln said as he looked to the piece of paper that he had picked up only to see that it was Lucy's pentagram drawing which was quite good and there were other symbols with notes saying that she had found them in one of her books of the macabre. He was about to get out his phone to call Clyde when he heard something and hid in the bushes as he saw some people coming out of something in the ground. He heard names being used like Blitzo, Moxxie and Millie and decided to get up so he could sneak away but ended up tripping on a lost toy there as he fell out of the bushes and being pushed into what was actually a portal there.
He had no way of noticing the symbols on the drawings glowed red as he fell into the portal.
He screamed as he ended up falling from the sky onto a pavement and looked around him to find to his puzzlement that he was in some sort of gothic neighbourhood with citizenry looking like they came from a Tim Burton animated project. There was one a large muscular dark green skinned being he ended up bumping into and apologised asking where he was as he looked at the imposing towering figure terrified for his young life.
"Watch it you stupid short... Wait, you look kind of young?" the being ranted angrily before looking down at Lincoln puzzled as he had gotten up
"I am 11. Sorry can I ask where I am or please just pinch me so that I could wake up." Lincoln explained and then looked around him thinking about for dinner Lori had heated up leftovers from this new fast food place so that would explain whatever he was looking at right now.
"Wow sinners are getting younger and younger... Tell me kid did you bash puppies' heads in or run over frogs with a bike for your own amusement?" the being asked as Lincoln looked up at him horrified.
"Why would you think that I did that? What's this about sinners? Where am I?" Lincoln asked once he had found his voice and the being sighed as he picked up a pamphlet from a stand and tossed it to him. Lincoln then put his eyes on it.
FOR THE NEW SINNERS – WELCOME TO HELL!
Lincoln was frozen in place upon looking at it thinking that he couldn't be dead and the being then patted him on the head saying "don't worry, denial is normal for new residents and I didn't take it well when I first got here either..."
"Lincoln please this isn't funny! I am literally super sorry for what I said, it was stupid being angry like that. I know it wasn't your fault. Lynn and Luan are sorry as well since I have talked to them and I know that they were more to blame for the accident than you were. Mum and Dad will be back with Lana and Lola soon and please, I just need you to tell me where you are and that you're alright!" Lori said to her phone as it had went to voicemail to Lincoln's phone with her going anxious with worry as it had been more than an hour since they had seen Lincoln go through the door.
"He did look pretty hurt by what you said Lori." Leni said her face showing no trace of her usual happy nature with Lisa (who had been busy experimenting in her room), Lucy, Lynn and Luan looking worried as they sat next to eachother on the couch with Luan holding Lily.
Lori didn't notice Luna coming in with Sam as she sighed and said "I know but he had to know that when I am angry I say a lot of things that I don't mean. He knows that I didn't mean it..."
"Didn't mean what? What has got you all down?" Sam asked as they noticed them and Lori looked nervous. She sighed as she explained what had happened with them both glaring at them.
"Mum and Dad will definitely hear of this because no way I am covering for you with this!" Luna told her and Lori put her head down as Luna went to call Lincoln herself thinking that her bro was probably just giving their eldest sister the silent treatment which she couldn't blame him for. She grew concerned as the call wasn't picked up and the other sisters tried calling him on their phones.
"You don't think that like something bad happened to him or he decided to run away?" Leni asked hesitatingly and they brushed it off not wanting to think of the possibility. Lincoln had to be safe and sound.
Lincoln was in a state of denial as he had looked at the surroundings and the beings around him who were known as demons as said in the pamphlet. He couldn't be dead especially since looking at his reflection in a building mirror and he still looked human and the pamphlet said that a sinner would be transformed into a demon upon arriving.
He would still have to be alive but was he stuck here forever? Wait his last experience with his sisters was an unpleasant one with Lori.
Was that really going to be the last that they ever see eachother, when she was angry at him and said something hurtful?
He fought back tears as he looked more into the pamphlet and was scared when he read about how there was an annual Cleanse from Excorcists from Heaven who would permanently kill demons. Lincoln didn't notice himself walking into a road as he began reading to see about keeping himself safe. There was a section about Overlords who controlled territories and you could work for them or try and overthrow them but all of Hell was ruled by Lucifer the King of Hell who never needed any effort in putting down challengers to his throne.
Lincoln then screamed and got out of the way as he saw the headlights as there was a limo there, he stepped back afraid as the door opened and then came out a concerned looking blonde haired demon with pale white skin, pink circles on her cheeks making her look like a doll, a white dress shirt with a black bowtie, a red business jacket and black pants. "I am so sorry..." Lincoln apologised as she came closer and gently put her hand to his cheeks.
"No, it's fine and poor dear you look scared and the pamphlet you have... Trust me I know coming to Hell must be overwhelming to you and wait... You look so young and found yourself damned here? I'm Charlie and I'm the Princess of Hell." the demon said in a soft voice and Lincoln blinked as she didn't exactly look like what you would imagine the Princess of Hell to look like.
Lincoln gulped forgetting all lessons about not talking to strangers and plus being stuck in this place in what he hoped was just a bad nightmare, "I'm Lincoln and I don't know how I got here, I saw this portal opening up and I dropped down..." Lincoln explained hoping that she was as friendly as she seemed.
Charlie blinked as she looked him over noticing how he didn't seem to look like a demon, then there was the figure that Lincoln didn't notice coming out of the limo a grey skinned demon in a white dress and white hair. She took a closer look and faced Charlie saying hesitatingly "Charlie, I don't think that this kid came here by dying and I kind of believe him about being put into a portal. It's been a while since I was alive and have seen one of them but I think he's a human kid."
Charlie blinked as she then looked cheerful giggling as she picked up the taken aback Lincoln in a bear hug saying "you're a human? I always wanted to meet one! I have so many questions!" Charlie noticed the demon folding her arms giving her a look and she chuckled hesitatingly as she put the dizzy Lincoln down. "Sorry about that Lincoln, it's just that we don't really get humans down here and I haven't got to meet one in my hundreds of years being alive. This here is Vaggie and she's my girlfriend!" Charlie told her apologetically as Vaggie waved to him with a warm smile.
"Nice to meet you both and I don't suppose since you don't have humans here, you have places to put them when they accidentally fall through portals?" Lincoln asked as Charlie showed him to the limo.
"Don't worry Lincoln, we will have this sorted out and you will be back in the beautiful human world with your friends and family in no time! In the meantime, I run a special place that is all about helping people!" Charlie told him and Vaggie's eyes widened as she came closer.
"Are you sure Charlie, you know there are bad influences in the Hotel for a human kid with his whole life ahead of him like the guest who decided to take part in a full blown turf war and off course your Radio Demon business partner!" Vaggie whispered to Charlie as she helped Lincoln inside the limo.
"He will be fine Vaggie; we will keep a close eye on him and make sure nothing happens!" Charlie replied smiling.
"I am accepting a limo ride from strangers, I am pretty sure I am breaking all the rules put to me." Lincoln muttered as Vaggie looked towards him.
"Don't worry Lincoln; we will be able to help you. Both as in get you home as well as giving you the pointers so you never have to come here again." Vaggie told him assuredly as Lincoln felt reassured.
He will probably be waking up soon...
No Lincoln will not have any pairings with Hazbin/Helluva cast for obvious reasons and I don't want you reviewing if you want to bring that up.
