EPILOGUE

"Ben, if you're watching this, know that I wish I could have been there for you, to see you grow into the incredible person you've become.

When you were just a child, I began working on Project Azmuth. I poured my heart and soul into it, hoping it would protect you and the world from whatever dangers may come. But fate had other plans for me."

(Images of Ben's childhood flash on the screen)

"My father, your Grandpa Max, knew of the danger I had set upon myself when I agreed to work for the Templars. And I'm sure he will look after you when I'm gone. He will be your rock, your fortitude. He will be there when I can't. When you need me, you can be sure Grandpa Max will be there."

"Your cousin, Gwen. I remembered you two being very close. She's like a sister you never had." Carl laughs. "She's a gentle soul. A brilliant girl, even. I wish I could see you and her grow. I know that you two will end up as strong as ever, together."

"The life I have set for you isn't easy, Ben. I regret setting you up for this path when I started working on the Omnitrix. I know danger and threats will soon rear their heads in your life. But I am sure you and Gwen, together with Max's guidance, will help you get through any difficulties you will face in life. You will find unlikely allies..."

[Cut to Rook and Hope sitting on the hull of a car, driving together towards the horizon on a hopeful adventure, hinting at Hope's redemption.]

"...powerful foes..."

[Cut to the destroyed remains of Vilgax, symbolising the battles Ben has fought and won.]

"...or even love."

[Cut to Kai Greene looking up at the sky while sitting with her daughter, Little Gwendolyne, symbolising the enduring love and connections Ben has made.]

"You have to be strong, Ben. Life wouldn't be easy for you, Ben. There will be hardships after hardships waiting for you, but you'll grow to be a great man. I'm already so proud of you."

[Carl stops as a gleeful Ben appears behind him, playing coyly.]

"Ben, don't interrupt your father!" Max enters the scene, laughing, then scoops up Ben. Carl and Max exchange a look, and Max nods.

Carl continues, a bit more somberly: "Ben. I'm limited by the technology of my time and I'm running out of time. I'm sure within time and technological advances, we can achieve a perfected design. What I have now is merely a prototype—a device with millions of possibilities and potentials, and we're just at its roots. I believe in you, Ben."

[The scene shifts to a montage of Ben's happiest moments with his friends and family. The montage starts slowly, showing scenes from Ben's childhood, then his adventures with Gwen, Kevin, and Grandpa Max. The scene constantly cuts to close-up shots of Swampfire running deep into the forest, with the Omnitrix timer beeping, signalling that he must revert to Ben before losing his consciousness. The pace gradually increases, the images blending into a blur, symbolising the fleeting nature of these memories as Ben tries to cling to them.]

"I wish I could have been there to watch you grow, to see the man you've become. But even though I'm gone, I want you to know that I love you, Ben. I always have, and I always will."

[The music swells to a crescendo as Carl's words resonate. The beeping sound of Omnitrix beeps louder, adding to the tension of the scene, as if the Omnitrix and the music tries to overpower the other. The montage reaches its climax with rapid flashes of memories, representing Ben's struggle to hold onto his humanity and consciousness amidst his transformation into Swampfire's primal state.]

[The final scene of the montage shows Ben and Kai sharing their first kiss for a brief moment, a poignant reminder of the love and humanity Ben is fighting to preserve. The music reaches its peak and abruptly ends on a high note as the scene fades to black. The Omnitrix beeps one last time.]
