Humanity, the dominant species of the vast multiverse . . . is about to disappear. The cause of this disappearance will not be a multiversal war, nor a collision between realities, nor even a huge cosmic catastrophe. NO! This disappearance is due to a purely deliberate choice . . .

At that moment two female figures crossed the dark corridor towards the only lit room.

"Looks like it's started Onee-sama." said the little girl.

It was a thin and small girl who looked to be only 13 or 14 years old. She had large, childish green eyes and short lavender hair that reached her neck. And was dressed in an open orange jacket over a yellow shirt and a white t-shirt and black shorts. She also wore a yellow hair clip and tights on her left leg.

[13th of the Valkyrie sisters: GÖLL]

The tallest was a fairly tall woman who looked to be in her twenties, with a large chest and an athletic build. She had long, dark blue hair that reached her lower back, highlighted by a large golden wing-shaped barrette, and piercing green eyes. She was dressed in an elegant white and blue dress with long sleeves and a long skirt that looked like a military uniform, and white knee-high boots.

[1st of the Valkyrie sisters and guide of souls: BRUNHILDE]

Brunhilde didn't bother to answer Göll, who was far too focused on the end of the corridor where the people she hated the most were.

The end of humanity populating the multiverse will be signed by the gods! The all-powerful beings who created men.

WALHALLA COUNCIL

In the divine assembly where all important decisions were made a meeting was taking place at that moment.

Over 100,000 deities from every religion and kingdom sat in their places in a circle around a huge stone throne. They all had different sizes and builds and varied appearances ranging from humanoid to bestial, some even had a greater number of arms, legs or eyes. However, they all had the same expression, an expression of disgust and fatigue.

And in the center of this assembly seated on the throne was a wise old man armed with a hammer and accompanied by a dragon.

"Very well my friends the time has come." said the old man in a weak voice catching the dragon's attention "Oh oh oh, come here my beauty."

The huge submissive monster happily approached the old man who began to stroke its muzzle.

"Well...Now it's time to start our conference." The old man sighed, revealing himself to the world.

He was a short and extremely thin man. His eyes were sunk deep into his skull leaving only two lifeless black holes below thick, fleshy gray eyebrows. He was almost bald except for a tuft of gray hair and he had a large gray beard tied in a small knot. He was dressed in a simple white robe of antiquity and was barefoot.

[President of the assembly and king of Olympus: ZEUS]

"1000 years have passed since the last time and as tradition dictates we are gathered here to decide the fate of humanity throughout the multiverse." said Zeus.

"All the gods are here, Onee-sama. What do you think they'll decide?" Göll asked in a worried voice, standing at the top of the room.

"Unfortunately Göll, their decision has been made long ago." Brunhilde said, looking at Zeus with an unperturbed face.

"So...the question is simple..." Zeus began to say, making his voice heard by the entire assembly, "Do we gods grant our salvation to humanity to let it live another 1000 years?"

He then revealed a sign marked with an O in his right hand.

"Or should we instead reduce it to nothing?"

He then showed a sign marked with an X in his left hand.

"It's your turn. Show me now... the will of the gods ."

Several gods began to think carefully, but some did not need to.

"Here is my choice!" shouted a god lying on a floating pillow, holding up two signs marked with an X, attracting the attention of the assembly.

This god was a very muscular young man with blue skin, five eyes and four arms. He had black curly hair tied with a yellow headband and was dressed only in yellow dhoti pants.

[Hindu Gods of Creation and Destruction: SHIVA]

"I have observed humans well during these 1000 years and have only been able to note that they never learn any lesson from their mistakes." said Shiva thinking back to all the wars and destruction caused by humans. "I therefore vote for their eradication. We will then try to evolve another species."

"I agree with Shiva." said another goddess.

She was an incredibly beautiful goddess with a perfect figure, very large breasts and wide hips. She had long blonde hair trimmed with flowers and soft sky blue eyes. She was dressed in a traditional Greek white dress very revealing and was sitting on stone golems serving as a chair and support for her large chest.

[Greek goddess of beauty and fertility: APHRODITE ]

"Over the last 1000 years the world has become increasingly ugly. The oceans are full of garbage and oil, the forests are dying and many species are becoming extinct. Even if certain universes are still well preserved I am convinced that this cannot last. In one line humanity ... has become a real scourge that ravages all life on Earth."

To Göll's surprise the deities began to think the same thing. One by one they all testified their opinion on humanity.

"You're right Aphrodite!"

"I'm tired of trying to guide them!"

"This time there will be no salvation for them!"

"Let's exterminate them!"

"Let's exterminate them!"

For the first time since the big bang the decision of the gods was unanimous and that decision was . . . THE END OF HUMANITY

"No, it can't be that simple. The will of the gods will really cause the destruction of the world of men?!" thought Göll, horrified at what she heard and saw.

When Göll looked towards her sister hoping for a reaction she only saw a resigned look showing that the decision of the gods was already made before the assembly even began.

The gods then raised the X sign designating the vote for the end of the species, one after the other.

"Very well..." said Zeus seeing this.

"It seems that the assembly has come to a unanimous decision..." Zeus began to raise his gavel to strike the platform and make the decision final. "Therefore I declare that humanity throughout the multiverse . . . shall be eradicated !"

"No wait!" cried a new voice stopping the king of the gods before he could strike with his hammer.

This voice caught the attention of everyone in the room and they looked towards the two Valkyrie . . . more precisely towards Brunhilde, who had remained silent . . . until now.

"Brunhilde?" Zeus said, looking at the Valkyrie.

Brunhilde then began to descend the stairs of the assembly slowly revealing herself to the other gods.

"Is she a valkyrie?"

"What is she doing here?"

"And who does she think she is?!"

"What are you doing, Onee-sama?!" Göll whispered in terror, trying to stop his sister. "It's not right to go against a decision of the gods!"

"Sorry to interrupt you honorable deities but I would like to make a proposition." Brunhilde said calmly.

"Shut up Brunehilde!" a voice screamed, giving off a power similar to that of Zeus, cutting the valkyrie off in her tracks.

This power was so great that many began to tremble while Göll hid behind his terrified sister.

"Learn to stay in your place, minor deity!" shouted the said voice belonging to a white raven.

"Who do you think you are to interrupt a debate between major gods?!" yelled a black raven identical in every way

Of course this immense power did not come from these two birds but from the person on whom they were perched.

He was an elderly man with long black hair, a long beard, and a single inky black eye. He was dressed in a long black tunic and cape.

[King of Asgard and supreme Norse god: ODIN]

And it was this god whose mere presence was enough to make everyone around him tremble. Brunhilde was the only one not to be touched by this aura... or at least the only one who could stand it.

"I agree with you, humans are selfish and self-destructive beings."

"Don't ignore me!" complained the black crow.

"However, wouldn't it be boring to eliminate them in this way?" Brunehilde concluded.

For the first time since her intervention Brunhilde had the full attention of the gods.

"So I would like to propose a third possibility to judge whether or not humans deserve to live another 1000 years, while reminding them of the omnipotence of the gods... How about putting them to the test?"

"Put them to the test? You want us to cause another flood?" asked the white raven.

"Or do you want us to move forward the next ice age?" asked the black raven.

"Not at all," Brunehilde replied impassively, "I was thinking of something more...radical."

" What is she talking about? "

"What are you getting at?"

"Explain to us instead of beating around the bush!"

The gods may have been omniscient... but absolutely nothing had prepared them for what Brunhilde was about to say.

"Let us begin...the final confrontation between men and gods... RAGNAROK !"

This name shocked several gods

"Ragnarok?"

"According to paragraph 15 of article 62 of the constitution of Valhalla," Brunhilde said, reading the contents of a large book that had been magically summoned. "There is a secret clause that says that gods and men may fight...1 on 1."

The law of the summit fight between gods and men, also known as "Ragnarök"

17 men against 17 gods; The first side to win 9 victories will be declared the winner.

It is agreed that the moment men lose their ninth duel, all of humanity will be exterminated.

On the other hand, if it is humans who accumulate 9 victories, the gods will be obliged to grant them the right to exist for another 1000 years.

Note however that this clause has never been applied, not once.

For what ?

Simply because against the gods men can do absolutely nothing.

Otherwise it is an extra-judicial clause created for the sole purpose of entertaining the gods.

"Don't be stupid; things are simple to understand even for simple Valkyries!" mocked the white raven.

"The greenhorns below wouldn't even be able to entertain a god!" mocked the black raven.

" It would be a complete waste of time! "

"Fight against poor mortals?"

" What next ?! "

"It would be child's play."

"I had completely forgotten about this stupid clause."

"So if I understand you gods correctly, you want to eradicate humans... but without fighting them" She said pretending to be confused "We want to get rid of them but without defying them."

" But Brunhilde, what are you trying to do ?" thought Göll, really starting to panic.

"Would that mean...? Yes, I guess that's the only logical explanation." Brunhilde said before taking on a provocative air. " Could the gods be afraid by any chance? "

At Brunhilde's words the council chamber became so silent that its echo resonated throughout.

The gods were frozen with surprise and Göll was frozen with fear, now certain that her sister had angered the gods.

"If that's the case I apologize for wasting your time" she said feigning disappointment.

"Onee-sama you . . . do you realize what you said?" Göll whispered.

"No, don't pay attention to what I just suggested to you and forget about Ragnarök. Since you're afraid, it would be totally useless."

"Brunhilde, please shut up!" Göll screamed in tears, grabbing his sister's arm. "They'll eliminate you before they eliminate humanity, that's all you'll have gained! Hurry up and apologize, Onee-sama!"

But all that followed... was little laughter.

The gods of the central universe are the most powerful beings in the multiverse.

Slowly the gods began to laugh one by one like a parent slightly irritated by his child's stupidity.

"How strange," Göll said calmly. "They weren't angry, they were laughing."

and the more powerful we are...

But the laughter was soon replaced by the creaking of tables breaking under the iron grip of the gods and their feet piercing the ground and the grinding of their jaws clenching in rage.

the more easily we get offended

" How dare you?! "

"Miserable Half-breed!"

"Learn where you belong!"

"Are you guys that stupid?!"

And Brunhilde knew very well that for the beings who created humans there would be nothing more offensive

" That definitely made them angry!" Göll thought in terror as she squeezed her sister's arm. " What were you thinking, Onee-sama?! "

" I knew it . Gods lose their temper even more easily than men ." thought Brunhilde, happy to see that her plan had worked.

than to hear someone imply that they might be afraid of it!

And finally it was Zeus' turn to laugh

"Ho ho ho, Ragnarök what an interesting proposition." He said, stroking his dragon's muzzle again, and he purred like a kitten. "Yes, it really is . . . "

The once skinny arm of the king of the gods then gained a great amount of muscle and the poor dragon could only widen his eyes as his new strength crushed his snout.

" Very interesting ! "

Zeus then displayed an expression of madness as he shattered the dragon's skull with a simple twist of his wrist leaving him dead.

"And you? Don't you think it's been a long time since we last used . . . our divine strength?!" Zeus yelled, ignoring the blood of the dragon he had just finished off flowing onto his skin and clothes.

"What do you say? Let's accept! Let's fight against the mortals!" Zeus shouted again at the top of his voice.

The gods shouted war cries in affirmation

"That will be up to me to judge."

This single sentence, however whispered, was enough to silence all the gods, including Zeus.

There is a question that mortals and demigods alike have been asking themselves since the beginning of their existence.

Seeing who had spoken it . . . all the gods began to tremble and bowed

They all know very well that the almighty gods were their creators, but...

He was a thin man about 7'1'. He was dressed in a large white and blue liturgical cope with a large hood up and gloves and boots made of gold and steel. But the most remarkable part was that he wore a thick azure blue mask that appeared to be made of an ivory-like material that hid his entire face with only two completely black holes where his eyes probably were.

Who the hell created the creators?

The entities present had already faced many of the most powerful creatures and adversaries, but the aura of this mysterious man was worlds apart from anything they had ever seen.

The answer . . . was today in the assembly

Even Brunhilde, who had just indirectly defied all the gods of the assembly, found herself unable to make the slightest movement in front of this man who was slowly descending the steps of the assembly with his hands behind his back.

A being above the gods, a being above the laws of the universe

During his short journey he sometimes allowed himself to turn his head towards certain gods chosen at random who could only lower their heads and close their eyes, paralyzed by fear, until finally arriving in front of the throne of Zeus.

"Zeus . . . I think you're sitting in my place ."

The undisputed master of all gods and all universes

After speaking his words, the man's body released an energy so powerful and terrifying that nearly 70% of the gods present lost consciousness, even the most powerful gods such as Shiva, Aphrodite or even Odin had to draw on their resources to resist it.

As the two Valkyries had to hold each other to keep from collapsing, Zeus just laughed and rubbed his head.

"Ho ho ho! Oh yeah sorry." Zeus said before getting up from his throne.

The being at the origin of all existence

The mysterious man then sat on the throne of the assembly and immediately looked in Brunhilde's direction.

"Greetings to you Brunhilde, eldest of the Valkyries." he said in his terrifying voice, this time making Göll faint.

Unknown to all and only named by his title

Brunhilde gently laid her sister on the ground before immediately kneeling in front of him.

"It's a great honor to see you in person before us . . . " she said before managing to look him face to face " Author-sama "

[Founder of Reality and Undisputed Master of Valhalla: THE AUTHOR]

"What did you do to that poor dragon Zeus?" asked the author.

"Ho ho ho sorry, I got carried away."

"You're supposed to be the president of this assembly, do us honor."

He then raised his hand slightly and the dragon's wounds closed by themselves and the dragon then got up safe and sound and completely disoriented.

" What happened? " thought Brunhilde, very surprised. " He just brought that dragon back from the dead?! And he didn't just heal his wounds, he made them disappear altogether. Those weren't divine powers, he distorted reality and all that with a simple movement of his hand! He's even more dangerous than what they said. "

"So Brunhilde." he said in a terrifying voice, bringing the Valkyrie out of her thoughts. "Did I hear correctly? You wish to start Ragnarök?"

"Yes, your majesty, that is my attention." she said, still staring at the ground.

"And you really think that mere mortals would stand a chance against gods?"

"Yes, Lord, I am convinced of it."

"Lift up your head, Brunhilde."

The Valkyrie obeyed and as soon as she looked up she was greeted by the sight of the man who scared her so much just inches away from her.

" How did he do it?! Did he just turn the concept of space upside down?! "

"You and Göll, who are only half-bloods, have allowed yourselves to interrupt a sacred meeting and have insulted the gods, and to top it all off you are contesting the results of the vote and trying to impose your decision on me."

He then released an aura even stronger than before making all the gods of the assembly tremble with fear again. Brunhilde did her best to try to hide her anguish by watching him move away from her from behind but she didn't completely succeed, it was easy to see his hands and legs shaking.

"Let me tell you something good, little Valkyrie. Your idea of having humans and gods fight in PvP is . . . It's brilliant."

These last words really surprised everyone in the assembly but the most surprised was Brunhilde herself.

" You are? "

"Of course. Listen to me, all of you !" he said in an authoritative voice as all the gods who had not fainted stood to attention. "During their 7 million years of existence, humans have built a complex hierarchical system taking into account many factors such as money, family, fame, etc., but in Valhalla it's different. Indeed, here... everything is based on strength! Do you agree?!"

" OUI ! "

"So do you really think that someone who refuses to fight has any right to express their opinion?"

" NON ! "

"And yet you believed you had the right to eradicate humanity without measuring yourself against them. As Brunhilde said, that is indeed what someone who is afraid would say. So I ask you seriously. Are you afraid of humanity?!"

"NO LORD!"

"In that case it would be more than logical to decide the fate of humans after they have shown us what they are capable of, right?"

"YES LORD!"

"In that case, as leader of Valhalla, I approve Brunhilde's proposal! Ragnarök, the ultimate battle between men and gods... is decided! "

He then gave the plate a light punch that caused a shockwave so strong that the gods had to hold on to their seats to resist it, approving Ragnarök once and for all.

"Well, the time has come for me to step aside. I'll leave it to you to take over, Zeus."

"Ho ho ho it's up to you."

A large column of luminous energy then burst from the ceiling to crash down on the author and once this blinding light faded the all-powerful god was no longer there and the gods could not help but let out a sigh of relief.

"Good Brunhilde" Zeus spoke again, attracting the attention of the gods "Since you are the one who suggested the idea, I designate you as the one who will choose the 17 representatives of humanity. I have the feeling that you want to help these poor mortals."

"I will select the 17 most powerful humans that have existed in the multiverse over the past 7 million years." Brunhilde said before curtsying and leaving the assembly carrying her unconscious sister to the mockery of the gods.

In the hallways

A few minutes later Göll finally regained consciousness in Brunhilde's arms.

"Wh...what happened Onee-sama?"

"You witnessed a power that exterminates the gods Göll. This is what happened."

"But who exactly was this Brunhilde guy?"

"Omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, this man is the embodiment of all of these. You will never find anyone like him Göll, he can do absolutely whatever he wants with our multiverse...because he created it."

"Is he really that strong?"

"Yes. No one has ever witnessed his full power but I can assure you that he is more than strong enough to consider the most powerful gods like Shiva, Odin or even Zeus as completely insignificant. If he had wanted to he could have easily annihilated everyone in the assembly."

" How can she say that in such a calm tone ?! " Göll thought as the thought of that monster was enough to completely paralyze her.

Lost in his thoughts Göll did not notice that Brunhilde continued to move forward without her.

"HEY! Wait for me Onee-sama!" she said before running to get to his level.

"Don't delay, Göll. We must go immediately to select the 17 representatives of humanity."

"But why did you do that, big sister!" Göll yelled, clutching Brunhilde's dress tightly. "You've alienated the whole assembly! What would you have done if Zeus, or worse, if he had gotten angry?! You're going to end up getting us killed!"

At her sister's question Brunhilde could only sigh

"Göll, you are still only an apprentice Valkyrie, so you probably don't know it, but the relationship we have with humans is much deeper than that of all the other deities. And for this reason we cannot abandon them !"

This surprised Göll a lot, his sister was taking huge risks to save humanity... that's why she was such a great Valkyrie. She could see in Brunhilde's eyes that no mortal or god could make her give up.

But despite all this...

"But do you really think humans have a chance against the gods?" Göll asked. "We don't even know who will represent them."

"Don't speak too quickly, Göll. I'm pretty sure their first representative will be..."

But before Brunhilde could name someone it was permissible to disturb them.

" Greetings Brunhilde. "

Turning around to see who had called him Brunhilde saw a lower class demon, an Incubus.

"I hear you've caused quite a stir. Standing up to the gods like that, you should be careful."

The incubus approached the Valkyrie and without crying out took Brunhilde in his arms who remained totally the Valkyrie and without crying out took Brunhilde in his arms who remained totally impassive.

"If you want I can protect you. On condition of course that you are very nice to me."

The incubus then stuck out his very long tongue and began to lick Brunhilde's cheek, who could only look at him with a disgusted look.

But soon after to the great surprise of Göll and the demon Brunhilde got down on her knees and bowed her head.

"Ha ha ha ha! I like that attitude!" the incubus laughed hysterically. "I've wanted to hear you moan and beg for a long time! You who are always so cold and haughty! Ha ha ha ha!"

"If you think I knelt for you, you're even stupider than you look."

The incubus didn't even have time to respond before a huge hammer headed straight towards him with the aim of crushing him in one blow.

The demon and the two Valkyries waited for this inevitable blow and the rain of blood that would result...but...it never came.

"It is a pleasure to see you again." Brunhilde said ignoring the missing blow "Lord Thor ."

In front of Brunhilde was a man measuring at least 7.6 feet with the same eyes as Odin and very long red hair. He was dressed in a very long white tunic that covered his mouth and above all he was equipped with his precious Mjöllnir , a huge hammer said to be indestructible.

[Norse God of Thunder: THOR]

But what really surprised Brunhilde was the man standing in front of Thor, whom she had never seen before.

It was a thin man just a little taller than her. He was dressed in a large black medieval cloak and wore a black iron helmet that covered the entire upper half of his face, showing only his mouth.

And this man unknown to the two Valkyries . . . had just stopped Thor's hammer with one hand.

" But how did he do that?! " thought Göll with bulging eyes.

" This is incredible. " Brunhilde thought, her eyes also bulging but without raising her head.

But the most surprised was the god of thunder himself.

"Hmm, very interesting." Thor muttered, lowering his hammer.

"Uh, you... you saved me there?" asked the incubus, still frozen with fear.

"Saved you? That's not quite the word I'd use, scum." The unknown man said before placing his hand on the incubus' chest and whispering a single word in his ear, " die ."

"What the . . . what the . . ARGH!" the incubus screamed before feeling a huge pain in his chest.

He then collapsed, bruised with pain, and could only look at his tormentor one last time before dying in excruciating pain.

The now dead demon the unknown imitated the two Valkyrie and knelt before the god of thunder.

"I am truly sorry for getting in your way Lord Thor. I simply did not want my two friends to be tainted with that demon's blood."

"Either I forgive you. Killing that vermin would have given me no joy anyway." Thor said as he walked away but stopped for a moment in front of Brunhilde without looking at her. "It would be better for you if that were not the case for the 17 humans you are going to select Brunhilde. If you disappoint me I will kill you."

"You will not be disappointed Lord Thor." The stranger answered in his place.

The god of thunder now gone they all three got up.

"I almost pissed myself!" Göll screamed, trembling. "How did you stay so calm, Onee-sama?"

"Oh, I looked calm? Good," Brunhilde said, raising her head and showing an even more frightened look than Göll.

"Uh... are you okay?"

"Were you really that scared? I don't find Thor that scary compared to any other god I've met."

"But...but who are you exactly?!" asked Göll.

"Oh but where are my manners?" he said before curtsying "I am a human in the service of the author my role is to ensure the proper functioning of the multiverse. The gods call me the Beyonder ."

[Guardian of the Multiverse: THE BEYONDER]

"But you girls just call me Zero ."

"Uh, do you know Brunhilde?"

"I've never seen him before but I know his name and his reputation precedes him. He was an ordinary human but he managed to steal one of the most powerful divine powers a long time ago. Many powerful gods of course tried to take it back from him but he killed them all single-handedly."

"A... a simple human managed to kill gods?!" Göll yelled in disbelief as he looked at the rather ordinary looking human.

"Eventually all his noise attracted the attention of Odin, the supreme Norse god, who decided to take him into his service."

"You worked for Lord Odin?"

"Worked?" Zero muttered as he released an overpowering malevolent aura that made Göll recoil in terror. "I was the slave of that old torturer."

"He worked for Odin for about 10 years but then he committed a horrible crime that got him banished to Tartarus."

"Tartarus?! One of the most terrible regions of hell that serves as a prison for the most evil demons in the universe?! This same tartarus?!" Göll yelled.

"Yes, that same Göll tartare." Zero simply replied.

"In... unbelievable," Göll whispered, trembling. "And what happened next?"

"I don't know anything about it," said Brunhilde, surprising Göll. "I simply know that later the author himself took him into his service and that he is now the only one outside of the major gods who can travel between the different universes as he pleases."

"But... but then Zero what is this crime that sent you to Tartarus?! And how did you escape?"

Zero didn't answer and simply released an even more malicious and powerful aura showing Göll that she had no interest in asking the question again.

"O.. okay I'll shut up!" Göll yelled, hiding behind his sister.

"Sorry Göll I didn't mean to scare you it's just that . . . I'm not proud of my past." Zero said before smiling "And please don't tell me you."

"Very well, then tell me. What is the most despised human in Asgard doing here?" Brunhilde asked.

"You're serious Brunhilde, the answer seems obvious to me." Zero sneered before taking on a serious look. "If I'm here, it's to help you save humanity."

" Ah bon? "

"What do you think Brunhilde? You're not the only one who wants to save the multiverse. That's where I come from, that's where I belong and I will put all my power and strength into Ragnarök! While I'm alive, I will never let humanity disappear!"

" Wow, he really wants to save humans ." Göll thought as he looked at Zero in admiration.

"So we have the same goal. But is that really your only motivation?"

"Yes," Zero said before turning his head in front of Brunhilde's accusing gaze. "Okay, it's also to get revenge on the gods. After everything they've done, I can't wait to see their faces when we beat them. To tell you the truth... all these gods' crap are getting on my nerves."

Brunhilde could only look at Zero who was smiling at her in shock before she simply burst out laughing and Zero immediately started laughing too.

" The resemblance is astonishing ," thought Göll through half-closed eyes as he saw his sister and the Beyonder laughing out loud.

"Well that's not all but we have to select the 17 fighters on the side of humanity." said Brunhilde

"I already have several good ideas. Once you have made your choice I will go and find them in their universe." Zero said with a smile before holding out his hand. "Let's go save humanity."

"Yes." Brunhilde said with a smile before shaking his hand.

Brunhilde didn't know this human at all but seeing his deep hatred of the gods she was sure of one thing... she had just met her new best friend.

Valkyrie Break Room

Brunhilde and Zero took out several devices from their pockets that looked like touchscreen phones.

And when they turned them on, endless images of various people appeared before them.

Soldier

Scientist

Martial Master

And anyone with confirmed feat of arms in the homeworld and the multiverse.

"I don't see a solution Onee-sama! Which of these humans could resist the almighty power of the gods?!"

"Calm down Göll. Zero and I have already decided who will be the vanguard of humanity."

"As you said she should be able to resist the gods."

"She?" Göll asked in surprise.

"We've seen her fight in her universe... and I dare say she's the strongest human in her world." Brunehilde said, showing a sinister smile.

"I'd rather say...she's the most powerful mage." Zero said with an even more sinister smile.

At these words Zero made the image of the human in question appear in front of them and Göll's expression immediately went from confusion to surprise.

" SHE ?! "

Valhalla Arenas

After several days of preparation, the time had finally come. Ragnarök was going to take place in the largest arena in Valhalla, able to accommodate more than 1 million spectators and with a fighting field as large as a city. Half of the arena was occupied by deities of all kinds and the other half by humans, some invited by the participants and most being simply souls inhabiting the heavens who had the chance to be selected.

Some of the most powerful gods such as Odin, Aphrodite and Shiva watched the field from booths of honor.

And on the highest point of the arena was Zeus sitting on a great stone throne.

" [Now I have been waiting for ages . . to blow into the Gjallarhorn ! ] "

yelled a short man with a metal jaw, dressed in a large purple cape and wearing strange red glasses and holding tightly a very peculiar looking horn.

[Nordic Messenger of the Apocalypse: HEIMDALL]

According to legend Heimdall is an artificial god that was built by Odin's hands in order to warn humans of the day when the gods would decide to unleash the ultimate test on their species. And after millions of years the time had come for him to do what he had been designed for.

"[The horn sounding to announce the ultimate battle between men and gods! SO ALL OF YOU! ARE YOU READY?!]"

The crowd then roared from all sides showing their approval and impatience.

But those screams quickly turned to silence when a huge column of overpowered light fell from the sky and violently struck the center of the stadium, making Heimdall retreat... And once that light dissipated, the author was standing with his hands behind his back where it had struck.

"Oh no, it's him!" Göll screamed, terrified, hiding behind his sister, but . . . Brunehilde was just as terrified as she was.

The author looked around the stadium and although almost no one really knew him here, everyone human and god alike felt an immense fear as if they had death in person in front of them.

But despite all this a young man with black hair and strange tattoos on his face and dressed in an elegant black tuxedo walked towards him without showing fear and politely curtsied.

[Messenger and youngest son of Zeus: HERMES]

"Let me escort you to your seat."

"Hmm." the author simply said with a nod before following Hermes to the staterooms.

During this short journey all the gods lowered their heads as much as possible hoping not to meet his gaze until finally they reached a large throne right next to that of Zeus twice as high as his and seeming to be made of the same material as the author's mask.

"Zeus. It would be better for you if I and all these people did not come for nothing." said the author without bothering to look at him.

"Ho ho ho! Don't worry about it. Remember, there is no desire that power cannot satisfy."

" Indeed. "

The author simply sat down and motioned for Heimdall to continue, relieving the pressure.

" [Uh so hmm. . .] " Heimdall muttered before coughing into his fist " [The rules are simple and the stakes are high, survival or eradication! Each of the 17 fights can only end with the death of one of the two fighters! ]

"[For the first duel, the one to fight for the gods... IT WILL BE HIM!]" Heimdall shouted before pointing to one of the arena doors.

And inside in a sort of waiting room was the god-fighter Thor sitting on a stone chair

" [Everyone wants to see his full power!]

At this the god lazily rose from his chair and lifted his huge hammer.

" [He has the fight in his blood! He is ready to give his life for it!]

Thor then walked along the corridor until he reached the end of the tunnel.

" [In addition to his phenomenal strength, he is the only one capable of wielding the powerful Mjolnir capable of splitting seas and continents!]

Once in the arena Thor received cheers from the gods and frightened looks from the humans

" [The most powerful of the Norse gods and the Berserker of thunder . . ! ]

The god then took off his tunic and threw it away, revealing his muscles of steel.

" [ THOR ! ]

{First representative of the gods: THOR}

The gods cried out in joy and admiration, thinking that with a warrior like Thor they could only win.

"Destroy this human." Odin simply said to his son from his lodge.

" That's what I thought . They start with one of their strongest fighters to immediately crush all the hopes of humans ." thought Brunehilde.

"Oh no, it's Thor-sama!" Göll yelled. "I don't see how a human could win against him."

"Don't worry Göll, our human... will manage." Brunhilde said with a smirk.

"[And now his opponent! The first fighter of humanity! Who will be foolish enough to challenge the almighty power of Thor?! Well that will be...!]" Heimdall announced.

A huge explosion exploded on the humanity side, burning part of the corridor and making all the spectators jump.

" [In his universe there exist among the common mortals men and women who manipulate magic, they are called mages! But I believe I can affirm . . . that it is the most powerful of them! ]

The flames from the blast then took the form of a huge dragon that roared with such force that gods recoiled.

" [Born as a simple slave, she toppled the tower of heaven with her own hands and rose to the rank of guild master!]

Footsteps began to be heard and each one caused a heat wave to come closer.

"[S-rank mage with the strength to destroy the moon! She single-handedly defeated the 100 monsters of pandemonium and killed the army of 10,000 dragons!]

The steps then changed into a run, causing the rest of the corridor to be destroyed.

" [But his greatest feat . . . is to have killed the god Acnologia with the help of his companions! ]

The gods then displayed looks of shock, fear and hatred at the thought that a human could kill a god.

" [A born warrior, she has faith in only one thing, the sharpness of her blade!]

At this the fighter of humanity finally passed through the doors of the arena at high speed before stopping abruptly.

" [The greatest heroine of the kingdom of Fiore!]

She was a woman in her twenties with long scarlet hair in two braids and icy hazel eyes.

"[The most powerful woman in Fairy Tail!]

She was dressed in revealing red and black armor with layers of orange upper steel that resembled flames. She also had dragon wings on her back and was equipped with a large sword that matched her armor.

" [ I named . . . ]

She then violently struck the ground with her blade causing several geysers of fire to erupt, the power of which shocked everyone in the arena.

" [ ERZA SCARLETT ! ]

{First Human Representative: ERZA SCARLETT} (Fairy Tail)

Faced with this demonstration of power, the human audience began to brilliantly encourage their representative with enthusiasm.

"Keeping your entrances always has its little effect. Don't you think?" Erza asked, smiling at her opponent who simply looked at her impassively.

But among all these cheers in the human audience there was one who began to pray loudly to the Buddha.

"Stop praying human." Brunhilde said as she climbed the stairs without even looking at him.

" Hein ? "

"Those we must beat at all costs... are precisely those gods you implore."

" [This is only the first fight my friends and the spectacle already promises to be grandiose. On one side the strongest warrior in Asgard . . ]

Thor then got into an attack stance and looked at Erza indifferently.

"[ . . THOR! ] Heindall announced as the gods burst into applause [And on the other the strongest warrior in Fiore . . . ]

Erza raised her sword high and a strange green energy came from the sky and changed that sword into a large red medieval spear that she held tightly and pointed at Thor.

" [ . . ERZA SCARLETT ! ] "

Now it was the humans' turn to burst into applause.

The two fighters then looked deeply into each other's eyes. Their gaze alone was enough to raise the tension throughout the arena, even the spectators sitting in the back rows were shaking.

" [It is now time to begin the tournament that will decide the fate of humanity . . . THE RAGNAROK ! ]

{ Premier combat : THOR VS ERZA SCARLETT }

" [ Let the battle begin ! ]

At these words everyone expected a monstrous collision worthy of the two fighters but . . .

Thor and Erza, everything is opposite them

"[But . . . What does this mean?!] the commentator yelled as the human and god audience shared his surprise [The two fighters lowered their weapons! They approached each other looking totally nonchalant!]

If one is a god and the other a human, they still share something in common.

Finally, facing each other, the two fighters gave each other a long look that said absolutely everything. When suddenly . . .

BANG

Thor's hammer and Erza's halberd collided causing a large electric shockwave and ignited.

They are both considered to be the strongest in their kingdom.

[The fighters have entered into action!] Heindall yelled, clinging to the ground with all his might to keep from flying away. [Neither of them seems to want to give in!]

"Go on Thor, smash this human to pieces!"

"Come on Erza, you'll make it!"

They always attacked head-on, defeating their enemy by the hundreds of thousands.

Losing ground Erza began to hold her halberd in one hand. Thor then saw a confused powerful flaming energy concentrate in her free fist.

However unlike the god of thunder

Thor within reach of the mage could only watch as her reinforced fist smashed against his right cheek generating an explosion of fire and sending the giant flying several meters.

The mage was never one to bet everything on an attack.

The gods were completely stunned, a simple human had just knocked down the champion of Asgard with a single punch.

However, Thors, barely shaken, fell back on his feet and glared at Erza.

"So Thor, do you think those idiot gods are going to take us seriously now?" Erza asked with a provocative smile.

Instead of answering Thor simply spat on the ground showing that this blow had broken one of his teeth. The god then sent his first smile to the human.

[Unbelievable! Erza Scarlett only needed one punch! The first blood of this tournament goes to humanity!]

" It's not possible !"

"Come on Thor, pull yourself together!"

"Yeah go ahead Erza!"

" Keep going like that ! "

"This is . . . this is not possible!" Göll yelled. "Did you see that, Onee-chan! One blow, one blow! She hurt Thor with the strength of her fist alone!"

"This is just the beginning Göll. You'll see why Erza is considered the strongest mage." Brunehilde said with a bloodthirsty smile.

"Interesting, Erza is it? Can you do me a favor?" Thor asked, addressing the human for the first time with a denied smile. "Don't die."

Erza didn't answer and got back into position

At that moment Thor and Erza both thought the same thing

Thor copied his opponent and raised Mjolnir above his head

If they were born in the same place and at the same time

The two fighters looked at each other with a provocative smile before Erza launched herself at full speed towards Thor who was waiting for her.

They would have become friends
