Olly came to a stop. "Right around here, I think. I marked a tree so I could come back with the police...It should be right around here." Olly examine a tree. "There it is! Alright, this is the spot!"
Dipper started to look around.
Mabel looked at the gaping mark in the tree. "You did that?"
"I'm not going to go into detail about how. Anyway...I think Dimentio went down this way?"
"Hang on, you said you were a shape shifter, right?"
Olly nodded. "One of my abilities anyway. But it's only because I'm Origami Folk. All of us can do it."
"Can you turn into a T-Rex?"
"I can try. I don't tend to turn into large things because it can drain me. Here I go. Don't complain if I get something wrong, please. I only saw one once in a book."
Mabel watched as he floated from the ground slightly and unfolded his origami body. He folded small parts, hesitated, then continued. He stopped like that a couple of times, possibly thinking. He landed back on the ground, a giant purple Tyrannosaurus.
"Cool! Hey, Dipper! Look at what this guy can do!" She looked around. "Dipper? Where'd he go?"
Dipper heard something up ahead and ducked into the bushes to sneak up on it.
"Today's day one of my new online vlog! Olly gave me the suggestion in hopes it would help my mental health! Isn't he so sweet?"
"A video?" Dipper whispered to himself.
"I already have one follower and now am curious to see who it is. Oh? It's Mimi! I love you too!" There came a small giggle from past the bushes.
Curious to see who was there, Dipper peeked over the bushes. There was only a shadow he could see. If only he could bring it into the light...He picked up a pebble.
"Okay, so Olly agreed that I could show you around the castle as long as I stayed out of his room...Guess who's going to Olly's room anyways?" There was a pause. "Not me because I promised to respect people's privacy. But instead we can go into mine! Olly gave me a special room inside the castle. Jester's Closet as I call it!"
Dipper tossed the rock into a thick beam of light.
"Hm?" The voice sounded female. "Who's there?"
A quiet clacking followed and she came into the light. Green skinned, clothed in a yellow dress, and faceless, she hung from the tree branches on thin spider-like limbs, two of which she held a phone in.
"Spider girl?!" Dipper hid behind the bushes again, covering his mouth.
"Come out wherever you are," she sang. "I know you're here somewhere! You humans can't run that fast!"
Dipper grabbed a stick, which had a thin slit cut out the top. "Okay, let's do this." He emerged from the bushes. "Eat Pines!" He smacked her with the stick repeatedly.
She screamed and dropped the phone. "Get away from me!"
She grabbed him with two limbs and tossed him into a tree. Rustles came from the bushes and fallen branches nearby.
"Dumb brat!" She grabbed the stick he'd dropped and tossed it into the bushes. "Why'd you do that? I was looking for Dimentio, you dummy!"
Mabel came through the bushes riding a purple T-Rex, with Olly's bangs blocking one of its eyes. "I'm here to save you!"
The spider woman stopped. "Olly, what are you doing?"
"Mabel uh...wanted..." He cleared his throat and folded back to himself. "Mimi, what are you doing here?" He floated Mabel down to the ground.
"You and Dimentio never came back, so I went to find out what happened. I saw his phone on the ground and got a little distracted..."
Olly raised an eyebrow. "Distracted? You were going through his phone as revenge weren't you?"
"No, just his videos."
Olly picked the phone off the ground. "You know that two wrongs don't make a right, right?" He put it in Dipper's hand. "So don't do that again."
"Hang on," Dipper said. "Mimi just gave me an idea." He scrolled through the videos on his vlog. "If his phone is all that was left, he was probably recording for his vlog. Which means that the most recent video will show us what happened to him." Dipper stopped scrolling. "Here it is!" Dipper played the video.
"Oh no, Olly! I'm shaking hands with a weird statue in the forest! I sure hope it isn't cursed!" He laughed. "Alright, time to be serious, Dimentio." He grabbed the statue's hand and pointed at it with his other hand. His smile faded. "What am I doing, fooling around in the woods? Olly's probably worried sick. I do have to say, the hand is so perfectly built that it fit perfectly around my ha-" He grabbed his head. "Oh...no..." He passed out, landing on the ground and breaking off the hand of the statue.
The video cut off in static. Mabel took the phone from him.
"Is that Bill?" Dipper asked. "He did turn into a statue when he shook hands with Grunkle Stan."
"Grunkle?" Mimi asked with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"Hey Dip," Mabel said. "Look at this. Shaking hands with Bill means you made a deal with him. And it must work the same way with his statue. You should see this."
She rewinded the video a bit and played it. She paused it on the second before the static overtook the screen.
"Bill."
The triangle was visible on the screen as nothing more than a yellow outline. His hand was still touching Dimentio's.
"Ew, what is that thing?" Mimi said.
"That's Bill Cipher," Dipper said. "He ruined our lives!"
"And now he has Dimentio," Mabel said sadly.
"Is Cipher powerful?" Olly asked.
"Very," Dipper said. "And the fact he has Dimentio probably means bad news too. Since Dimentio can teleport, he could be anywhere right now."
"And it depends if Cipher knows about Dimentio's other abilities..."
Dipper pulled out his notebook again. "Other abilities? Like what?"
"Well...You might want to sit down for this one."
Dipper and Mabel shared a look, then sat on a fallen tree.
"Dimentio can teleport, flip 2d and 3d, and he basically has control over dimensions. He can make them, break them, and defy them. Basically, he's the most powerful person in our world and if Bill possessed him then you can say goodbye to this universe! It'll be dead by the hour!" Olly laughed like a maniac.
"Dimentio is the master of dimensions," Mimi said. "So unless Bill could do all of that already, then we're in huge danger."
"But what if he never finds Dimentio's abilities?" Mabel asked, kicking her feet.
"What is Bill, exactly?" Olly asked. "I mean, obviously besides a triangle in fancy dress..."
Dipper clicked his pen a few times. "He's a demon. And he's basically the master of the mind. So unless Dimentio's never used his magic before, Bill's going to know about it."
"Master of the mind? He can basically read minds?"
"More than that," Mabel said. "As you just saw, he can also possess people."
"And he's smart," Dipper continued. "So I think he would have went after Dimentio one way or another."
Mabel rested her hands behind her, leaning back a bit. "Tell us more about Dimentio. Does he have any actual weaknesses? When Bill possessed Dip-Dip here, I took advantage of his lack of sleep the day before and made him tired."
Olly looked to Mimi. "You go on. You've known him longer than me."
"I..." She twirled a pigtail around her finger. "Only really know the person he used to be. You know the new him better."
"Then you can start. They know more about Bill then we ever would, and in order to stop him, we need to share all the information we have."
"Alright. I'll tell you what I know. Well, what I knew."
