Hello, friends & readers!
This message likely won't impact many people, but I wanted to be up front regardless. Despite being so much in the beginning stages of this story, I already find myself in the position of needing a hiatus. Or, at least the expectation to update less frequently than I had wanted. My intention and goal is to update weekly, and have a five chapter buffer. Unfortunately, I've already eaten through my chapter buffer! *Whomp whomp*
Life circumstances have come about in my family that have made sitting down to write very difficult. My grandmother, who has dementia and lives 14 hours away, is moving into assisted living, and that is going to be a long and stressful season. Any writing I do in the time leading up to, during, and after this big trip will go into my chapter buffer. I will probably start posting chapters again in January of 2025.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but I promise I'm coming back. I have a pretty completed outline for this story, and I have really enjoyed writing it so far. I also appreciate your patience and support, and hope that anyone who has been reading so far will come back in 2025 to continue.
As a side note, I am still in the market for beta readers! So if you want to get a "sneak peak" at future chapters, and also want to give feedback on pacing, character development, and plot, please PM me!
