This book contains spoilers about the actual show! Do not read it if you did not finish Gossip Girl. In my book, Dan and Serena got married right before Chuck and Blair, so Henry wasn't born. I felt like Blair's pregnancy should have been shown in the show, and that's why I will write details about that as well. Tip: GG stands for Gossip Girl. Enjoy!
Chapter 1
A GG wedding
Serena's pov
I stepped down the stairs and looked at everyone who was waiting for me, realising that despite our arguments and betrayals, we finally got to this moment. Sooner or later, I knew Dan and I would end up together, even if we had girlfriends and boyfriends all over the years. Dan haven't saw my dress until that moment, and he seemed to love it. The first half was golden, and the other white. My mom was in a corner, even more nervous than me. It's just unbelievable to her that I am finally getting married. Dan and I pressed the elevator button to Blair's house. Chuck and Blair had their own apartment, after such a long time of waiting.
When we got to the location of the wedding, everything was perfect, except one thing. Nate. He was greeting everyone and so on, but I knew him for too long to not realise something was wrong. I caught up with him in the crowd of guests and asked:
''Are you okay? You seem upset.''
''I'm fine, don't worry. This is your big day. You shouldn't worry about me.'' He confidently said.
''If you say so. Just know that I am here for you.''
I unexpectedly left and got my mind off it, as I had no time to think about that. I always dreamed to get married at the same time as my best friend, and here it is, happening. Blair and I decided they could have a real party with us, since they couldn't because of the police not so long ago. Blair came in the same dress she got married in, and Chuck smiled when she saw how gorgeous she was, like always. When it was finally time to say the magic words, I stepped down the aisle. I felt like everything was falling into place. The priest started doing the ceremony, and everyone there couldn't be happier.
''Dan Humphrey, do you take Serena Van Der Woodsen to be your lovely wedding wife?''
''One word, three letters. Yes.''
''Serena Van Der Woodsen, do you take Dan Humphrey to be your lovely wedding husband?''
''YES!''
Right when we were about to kiss, everyone got a message at me same time, and I couldn't help but remember that that's how the blasts were sent in the past, at the same time. Of course the guests checked their phones, and Eric started reading out loud.
''Welcome back, Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here. You didn't think you got rid of me, did you? I will always be there, at every move you make, at every mistake you make, and I will always know your biggest secrets. I see Serena is getting married to the wrong prince, Lonely Boy. I could bet she would end up with Nate, not the prince of Brooklyn. XOXO, GG.''
I looked at Dan, not knowing what was going on. He was Gossip Girl, and we all decided we would finally act like adults. He agreed to stop posting forever. After this bomb on our wedding day, I don't know if I can trust him again. The part that was the weirdest was that the blast was talking mostly about him, and that he is not the right person for me. He wouldn't write that about himself, would he? After everything he's written on the blog about himself, why am I even surprised at this point. Dan whispered in my ear:
''It's not me. Trust me.''
I took a deep breath and chose to trust him.
''As we all know, Gossip Girl is not a reliable source and is a childish site. I am aware I am getting married to her, or should we say him, but I don't believe it's him that wrote the latest blast.'' I spoke.
The guests all agreed. Some of them told us to continue, and turned off their phones, in case another blast would pop up. I kissed Dan and everyone cheered, but I was not sure about what I had said earlier. What if I got married to the actual Gossip Girl, not the retired Gossip Girl?! I totally chose to ignore Gossip Girl. We all poured wine in our glasses and drank like it was no tomorrow, like old times. I felt like a teenager again.
''This one is for our happiness!'' said Chuck.
''Cheers!" we all said back to him.
Our group was having so much fun, except Nate. I wanted to go up to him again, but Blair dragged me right in the dance circle. We were both wearing white dresses. She had a wide smile on. Her eyes were searching Chuck's in the dance crowd. I found their love really cute. I also like how they make each other the best version of themselves when they are together. I also figured Chuck's genuine smile shows only when he is with her. If you told me Chuck would get married five years ago, I would for sure not believe you. I thought Blair and Nate were going to get married, but deep down I knew Nate didn't love Blair like he loved me… wait. Maybe that's why he's upset? He's still not over me? We started dancing and the dance circle got wider. Some glasses spilled on the floor and glass was everywhere. The music was so loud I could not hear my own thoughts, but I was having fun. It was like a game, don't step on the shards. My diamond heels were up for a challenge. Nate joined us, and I smiled at him. The moment he started dancing even more than me, I realised I was just overthinking earlier. As I was walking to one of the tables, my dress got stuck and I fell. A glass of wine made my dress look like I killed someone. I was a bit upset my dress was ruined, but I burst out laughing anyway. It made my dress look spookier. The Halloween season is not so far away. I went to the restroom to try to wash off the excess, but Nate followed me.
''What are you doing?'' I asked.
''I want to tell you something. I broke up with Sage.''
''You guys broke up? That's so sad to hear, but can we talk about this after my wedding, please? I have a party to get to.'' I said, trying to not sound mean.
''There's nothing to talk about. I just put myself in your place, considering you dated Steven, her father. I would not want to see my ex every day.'' He laughed.
''That's why?! I am so mad at you right now!'' I joked with him.
''She was too young for me anyway. Before you get back to the party… I have something to confess…'' he said, serious.
I raised an eyebrow at his affirmation. Right then, Dan called for me outside. I took some napkins with me and left Nate there, standing. Dan hugged me, and immediately laughed when he saw my dress.
''What in the world did you do?'' he asked, amused.
''Long story! I will tell you later! Let's dance!''
I took his hand and we ran to the dance crowd. I couldn't be happier that night, but I felt like something was clearly missing. Nate always made the parties way more fun, but he was absent almost the whole night.
Blair's pov
Serena seemed like she was genuinely delighted, and I also enjoyed myself that night too. It was a bit odd to see Dan getting married to Serena after I was in a relationship with him, but if she loves him, I think it's fine. I didn't have much time to care about that anyway. Chuck and I danced the whole night. Chuck got me peonies, my favourite flower. I smelled them and said:
''These flowers remind me of so much.''
I chose the most beautiful flower in the bouquet and put it behind my ear. Chuck kissed me and suddenly my face looked like the colour the peonies had. Bright pink. My favourite colour. My favourite flowers. My best friend, with the love of her life. The man of my dreams. I had everything I could possibly wish for. I looked away just for a second and saw someone at the gates. I thought I would never see her again… ever. What does she think she's doing here?! That little liar who wanted to destroy Serena thinks she's welcome here? Well, I have bad news for her. NO! I have to go check.
End of first chapter.
I hope you liked it. I know Gossip Girl is an old movie, but I just watched it and I felt like the finale was incomplete. Who do you think the girl at the gates might be? Make your guess in the comments. I am obsessed with Serena and Dan, and also Chuck and Blair, so be prepared for a lot of romantic scenes of them. Don't forget to like and favourite. Check out my other stories as well, I am sure you will love them. Bye peeps!
