By the time his second day of Beacon ended, Jaune barely had the energy to shower before he fell into one of the four beds in the relatively spartan dorm room they'd been given. And Gods, but everything hurt so much, once all the excitement was over. His knees felt like they'd come apart, and his arms felt like jelly, and his head throbbed. But, according to Ren when he'd noticed him limping, his Aura would handle it while he slept, more or less. As long as he was 'used to it'.
Which he wasn't, so…
Yay!
Luckily, the day after Initiation was a free day, so they all slept in. Even if the room was way warmer than he'd have liked, he was still thankful for that. And he could always see if they had their own room control later, anyways, so it wasn't a huge deal. He heard Ren and Nora get up first, talking quietly at the other end of the room while he dozed in and out. He was starting to doze out again really hard when something brushed along his side and he snorted, trying to wiggle away from it- Only to run into something else between him and the wall. Something soft and warm, that wiggled before he felt it turn and arms wrapped around his chest and-
Wait, arms?
He blinked, suddenly way more awake than he had been before, and turned to look at his side. There was a huge lump under his blankets against the wall. A lump that shifted when he moved his arm, bumping into something soft that made him blink and scramble away, knocking something else onto the floor on his other side while he scrambled up to the head of the bed. Blinking, he turned to look down at-
"N-Neo?" He squawked, watching the girl - who had apparently only slept in her leotard, because of course she had - rubbed her elbow and pouted at him. But a second later, he blinked- She'd been on the other side from whatever he'd bumped his arm into, so… He turned to look at the shifting mass of blankets as a second Neo sat up, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
And this one didn't even have the leotard, he couldn't help but notice…
"Ack!" He squawked when his eyes tried to follow gravity a bit too far and he spun around, cheeks burning. Flicking looks at at least technically clothed one, he asked, "W-Why are there two of you? Why is that one naked? And why are both of you in my bed?"
Neo just smiled a cheshire smile, shrugged, and Jaune felt something glom onto his back.
He didn't need to look to know what…
"W-What are you doing, you can't just- You're naked!" He squawked, feeling arms wrap around him again as the first Neo suddenly stood up, into the space he'd been leaning into to escape the second.
He squawked, suddenly close enough to feel her breath on his cheek, and she pressed a kiss against him before he could react. As she pulled away, smiling warmly, he noticed the weight on his back was gone. When he turned to look, he could only see… Sparkles, that he turned to watch trailing along the first - and now only - Neo's body as she stood and stretched back. And back. And back…
"How can you do that…" He murmured, watching her head almost touch the ground and ignoring everything else about her through sheer force of will.
She straightened quickly and turned, gesturing at herself and then miming the 'A' shape she'd made with her hand. Then she raised the other and gestured to the mess of blankets where the other Neo had been and held up one finger and then two.
"I-I was asking about the pose, but…" He shrugged, "Yeah, both, I guess?"
As if in answer, Neo backed up a step, the Beacon uniform sort of… Materializing along her body, ust ahead of the leotard dematerializing. He blinked and looked up when it reached her chest, watching her eyes roll, before she snapped both fingers and stepped to the side. In her wake, the second Neo reappeared, this time in the same uniform, and they clapped their hands together, pressing their backs together and kicking their feet up in a pose.
"You can make clones?" He murmured, watching the second Neo disappear as the sparks flowed into the first and she turned, nodding, "That's… Awesome! Have you always been able to do that?" She shook her head and, confused, he asked, "Then why can you…"
She blew him a kiss and then gestured between them, and Jaune hummed.
"It's because you're a Sekirei…?" She nodded, smiling brightly when Jaune blinked. "That light- Those wings! That meant something, right?"
This time, she actually manifested a sign directly, leaning over it and pouting deeply. "Shouldn't a sexy girls first kiss always mean something?"
"Yeah, I guess…" He realised his mistake when she smirked toothily, sign vanishing as she shot towards him, bowling him over and pinning him down at the head of the bed. "N-Neo! What are you doing?" She didn't answer, just pressing a kiss to his neck, and he squawked, "The o-others will be back any minute!"
Then, he heard the bathroom door open and the Neo on top of him faded away, sparks flowing into another Neo as she backed up and, in turn, faded into the first. Who smiled widely, winked, and slipped into the bathroom while he shared after her.
"Did…" He blinked, shouting at the door, "Did you really need to do that just so you could have the first shower?" A second later, shower running, a Neo poked her head out, smiled, and flashed him a thumbs up. Then the door shut again and he sighed, standing and calling, "Leave me some hot water!"
His only answer was the door opening, just a bit…
And staying like that, empty and open.
He wasn't dumb enough not to guess what that meant, and scowled as he flopped onto the bed, "You're ridiculous!"

"I'm well, Akitsu." Weiss sighed, voice echoing off the walls of the bathroom while she brushed her hair. She grimaced after a moment, sighed, and added, "Well, aside from the utter lack of hot water thanks to the blonde oaf… I'm well."
"Good." The quiet Sekirei answered, sounding almost… Distant.
"And you?" Weiss asked, suddenly a bit worried.
"Cold." The woman answered simply, "This bed is awfully big, you know…"
"Ugh." In spite of herself, Weiss' cheeks felt like they were ablaze. It was a familiar heat, that creeped all the way down her neck and made her shake her head. "You are ridiculous, Akitsu. It's been two days. You can not possibly miss me that much."
"You would be quite incorrect."
"I will be there this weekend."
"I know." Akitsu answered, the hint of a smile in her voice. "I am already planning to wash the bedding before you get here.
"Fiend…" She flushed even harder, shaking her head and trying to focus on tying up her ponytail. Frustrated by it, she muttered, "Ugh, my hair's a mess."
"I'm sure, without me there to do it for you." The Sekirei laughed, "Show me?"
"I am dressed, Akitsu…"
"Darn…" The woman sighed dramatically, "And there go my best laid plans."
Weiss just rolled her eyes, entirely unsurprised. Akitsu was always like this, and almost always had been, once she relaxed around her. Which had taken effort, thanks to her father's involvement in their meeting. But efforts that had borne fruit. Overly affectionate, forward, and touchy fruit, in spite of how outwardly meek and withdrawn the Sekirei was. But fruit nonetheless.
Opting to change topics before her messenger started going off with pictures Weiss did not want coming in all day while she was with her time, Weiss asked, "How is Penny?"
"She is alright." Akitsu answered quickly, "Her shoulder socket is still a bit stiff, but we're working on it."
"She has the parts she needs…?"
"She does." Akitsu chuckled, "Don't worry. She's working in the shop right now, and when she gets back we're going to swap out the back of her inner socket. See if that helps. If it doesn't, we have another joint we can put on, she just doesn't want to spend all evening on it."
"I know." Weiss sighed, "Just don't let her ignore the problem. You know how she is…"
"Stubborn and quiet when she has a problem." Akitsu answered, "Trust me, I am quite used to that."
"That sounds like you're suggesting something…"
"I would never." The Sekirei laughed, "But I won't keep you. Enjoy your week."
"I will." Weiss nodded, ending the call with a flick and closing her Scroll. Sighing, she finished tying her hair up and stood, splashing water on her face and drying off before she headed for the door.
The rest of her team were scattered around their room, Ruby lurking up on her hanging bunk with a Scroll in her hand and her headphones on while Blake slipped into the bathroom behind her. And a suspicious trail of petals running up to her bed, along with around most of the rest of the room, too. Something she supposed she would just have to get used to, given they were going to be together for the next few years. Weiss hopped into her own, stretching out on the bed and flicking through her e-books while she looked for something nice to read to pass the time.
After a few minutes, though, Ruby slowly climbed down from her bunk and pulled her headphones down, her music echoing out of them quietly.
"So…" She started, "Who is Akitsu?"
"And Penny." Yang added from her bunk.
For a second, Weiss considered lying. She wasn't particularly enthused about these relative strangers knowing too terribly much about her private life. But… Well, they were going to be partners for four years. And setting aside the fact that Penny herself would eventually want to meet them, she'd need to get used to trusting them eventually. Now was as good a time to start as ever, she supposed.
So she sighed, pinched the bridge of her nose, and said, "They're my girlfriends."
A heartbeat passed…
And Ruby squealed, and all hell broke loose.

Roman rubbed the side of his temple with one gloved hand and nursed his Argus Iced Tea in the other, feeling more than hearing The Club's music thrum through him. The Twins were off to his side, lingering at the corner where the stairs led up to the VIP rooms and the drunk tanks in the upper part of the building and the bar met. A few of the clan were on his other side, scattered along a few seats 'on break' and sipping at drinks while they milled about behind him, forming a wall of people to keep the handful of bored customers actually at the Club at noon - or, well, closer to one now, but still - from seeing him.
Finally, though, Junior arrived, dropping into a seat beside him as one of his men emptied it. Taking a coffee he was offered, he grunted, "No."
"You don't even know what I want…"
"No, I don't." He took a drink, eyeing him and frowning as he set it down. "No."
"Neo's Scroll is busted, and she's not reaching out through anything else." Roman snapped, and that, at least, earned Junior's full attention. And got rid of the dismissive derison he'd been treating Roman with, too. Listening intently, Junior waved a hand and several of his boys went towards one of the closets while the others turned the lights up, waving people out.
When they were gone, Junior asked, "What happened?"
"She went after some kid headed for Beacon." Roman explained quietly, careful of the men around him. Every member of the Clan were loyal to Junior, but that did not mean they were loyal to Roman - or that they were as tight about Junior's sense of confidentiality. "She wanted to get to him during Initiation - idiot didn't even have his Aura up."
"And she cared because…?"
"Guess." Roman grunted, flicking a meaningful look at the men around them and adding. "And guess really quietly."
"Ah." He blinked, dipping his head and grunting more meaningfully, "Ah… I see."
"Mhm." Roman nodded, tapping hsi glass on the bar uneasily. "You helped her, back when. And you helped me. And I appreciate that. It's why I'm here."
"I know." Junior rumbled, "So… What do you need?"
"Information," he shrugged, "and the twins."
"The twins?"
"I want to head out into the forest, make sure Neo isn't…" The words died in his throat and he took a long drink, sliding the glass away and sighing wearily when he couldn't force the words out. Instead, he just said, "I just need to look around. I know it'll take time for you to find anything out, so… I'm going to try and make sure the worst is off the table. You know?"
"I get that." Junior sighed, "The girls will want to know why I'm sending them out against Grimm, though…"
"You… You can tell them." He sighed, "I'm fine with that. I just- I need help, out there."
"I'll talk to them, and-"
"Junior." One of the twins hissed sharply, stepping past them in a flash of color to get between them and the door while the other paced off to the side, ready to intervene if she needed to. Roman and Junior both stood, following their gazes to the door, but Roman was the first to speak when he saw who was sauntering past Junior's doormen.
"Fuck me…"
"Not my type, Guyliner." Qrow fucking Branwen rumbled, ignoring them both while he hopped the bar to look through the selection. Grabbing some Mistralian brandy, he turned and tossed a handful of Lien cards onto the bar and opened it to take a long drink. Sighing, he wagged it at Junior and smiled, "This is the good stuff, Junior. That enough to cover the bottle?"
No, Roman knew, eyeballing the money and the drink.
Junior just nodded and said, "Sure, long as you leave."
"In a bit, sure, yeah." Branwen nodded, flicking the women that were flanking Junior a look. Sighing, he reached behind his waist and paused when both slid forward, ready for a fight. Slowly, he lifted his weapon and set it on the bar, sliding it away a bit and holding the hand up in a gesture of peace. "Not here for a fight. Just a… Chat with Guyliner, here."
"About…?"
In answer, Branwen reached into his shirt and pulled out his Scroll, dropping it between them and waving at the picture there, "About your little snot."
"Neo?" Roman blinked, all the years of instinct built up working Vale's streets vanishing as he leaned into the man's reach to see the picture. It was stupid, he knew, and he processed just how stupid it was a second after he'd done it, but… It was her, alright - standing on a stage, smile wide enough that Roman's face ached looking at it. Backing away, he asked, "Why…?"
"The old man has decided to let her and her new partner," and from how he stressed the words, Roman could guess what he meant, "were welcome at Beacon. He believes her gifts will be better nurtured there."
"Does he now…" Junior rumbled, crossing his arms, "And you're here to, what?"
"Let you both know she's safe and happy, and that I know her new Scroll's number." He answered, smiling, "And that the old man is… Well, he doesn't mind working with less reputable people, as long as they know what lines not to cross. He'd be happy to consider you two some of those, since Neo is going to be at his Academy."
Neo was leverage, then, and he could tell from the way Junior's fist curled against his bicep that he knew that. With her and her Ashikabi under Ozpin's thumb, they couldn't act against Beacon. Or refuse whatever he wanted to ask of them without testing how benevolent the old man was willing to be about the whole thing. It was unfortunate, to be damn sure…
But better than the alterative Roman had been considering.
"If he needs something…" Roman sighed, taking his seat and relaxing as much as he could. "I'm happy to talk."
"That's all he wants." Branwen nodded, fishing another stack of Lien cards out of his pocket and dropping them, a Scroll, and a piece of paper on the bar. Turning, he snatched another bottle of Mistralian liquour and hopped the bar again, waving with it as he left. "Oz's number is on the Scroll, and the brat's is on the paper. Lien's for the liquor!"
Junior waited until he wa stone to take his seat and sigh tiredly, "Lien's for a quarter of it at best…"
"Take the rest out of what i keep locked up in my room." Roman shrugged, pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing.
At least he knew where Neo was, now…

Essiter :
Ruby is on a team, her normal one in fact. Ruby was just keeping Pyrrha company, since she thought she was upset and Ruby is a cinnamon roll like that.
An Ashikabi can, to my knowledge, have as many Sekirei as he wants. One character collects them, for instance, while the MC has like five in the anime. Another character has twins. As for Sekirei, there is a strong impulse to bond with their Ashikabi when they see them - but it isn't, like, a forced compulsion. Further, in fact, people can force a Sekirei to wing off of them sometimes. Which… Make of that what you will, lmao.
Phantom 117a :
Neo is VERY deredere in this lmao. She's over the moon.
