Chapter 5: Aftermath

Tetsuya stood alone in the darkness. He looked around at the familiar surrounding. "I was here before…" he grunted as he felt a slight shock on his chest.

Nothing. Resume CPR!

Tetsuya! Please! Come back to me!

"Indeed you have, Tetsuya Tsurugi..oh yes, your name changed, did it not? It is now Tetsuya Tsurugi-Kabuto, isn't it?" replied a hooded, cloaked figure.

"Yes," he replied proudly. He then looked around. "My wife…" Was that her voice?

Tetsuya! Dammit, don't you DARE!

Come back, big brother! Don't leave us!

"My brothers…" Was that them? Koji? Shiro? "Are they..are they here?" He felt another slight jolt in his chest.

I'm gonna call it…wait, there's a rhythm!

"They all live, as do you. Do you not hear them calling for you? Now go, this is not your time. Go to your family, and nurture your seed.."

Tetsuya was about to ask what he meant, when suddenly he felt pulled away.

He opened his eyes. Was that a dream? No, it wasn't. He looked around at the worried faces of his brothers. "H-hey guys…"

Koji gave a small laugh while hurriedly wiped his eyes. "Is that all you gotta say, you dumbass? You had us scared to death!"

Shiro smiled, not caring about his own tears. "Your heart stopped, big brother. We thought we lost you!"

He smiled at his brothers. "I'm too stubborn to die, you two know that…" He looked down and saw Jun holding his hand, her face in the mattress. She looked up at the sound of his voice. "Tetsuya..TETSUYA!" She hugged him tightly. "Don't you ever scare me like that again," she whispered.

He smiled as he ran his fingers through her hair. "I'll try not to.." he replied, then thought of something. The cloaked figure mentioned something about nurturing his seed. "Jun? Honey, are…are you…?"

She smiled at him. "I'm alright, now that my warrior came back to me. I just need some rest, like the rest of you guys."

"Ah, welcome back, Mr Tsurugui-Kabuto! How are we feeling?" said the doctor as he came in.

He smirked. "Not sure about you, but I feel beat."

The doctor grinned. "I'm not surprised. Your heart stopped, and we almost lost you." He looked at the other two Kabuto brothers. "Now if you two would return to your beds, I will proceed to check you three over."

A nurse came over to Jun. "Mrs Tsurugi-Kabuto, you need to get back to your room. The lab is waiting."

Jun nodded, then gave her husband a quick kiss before leaving.

EPILOGUE

The mecha pilots were discharged from the hospital a week after that, with Tetsuya leaving a day after the others due to his crisis. They then had a big party to celebrate their victory. Duke stayed long enough to join them, having upgraded the other mechas once they were repaired.

Koji looked over at Duke. "Hey, we've all been wondering something. Before we… before we conked out we saw… "

"Ghosts," Shiro finished for him. "The ghosts of our dad, and grandad. They were…"

"They were helping me," Tetsuya added. "I don't know why, but for some reason, I called to Dad for help, and there he was…"

"And I saw my birth parents." Jun added.

Duke nodded. "I can see it. When Gandal opened the portal, he thinned the fabric between the living world and the dead. Jun, you must still think about your birth parents, so they were drawn to you. And your father and grandfather were drawn to you three. Especially you, Tetsuya, since you called for help. After all, what parent wouldn't come when their child asks for help?"

Koji nudged his elder brother. "See? What'd I tell you? You're a part of the family, you always were."

"Yeah, smartass, I get it," Tetsuya replied with a smirk.

"Wiseass." Koji grinned.

"Dumbass."

"Pain in the ass."

"Head up your ass."

"KISS my ass!"

"Kiss MY ass!"

"Guys, guys, please! Don't fight!" Shiro pleaded.

The two elder brothers looked at Shiro, then at each other. "What's with him?" asked Tetsuya.

Koji shrugged. "I dunno. He probably feels left out."

The eldest Kabuto smiled evilly. "Now we can't have that, can we?"

"No, we cannot," They both looked at their kid brother menacingly.

Shiro gulped. "Umm, what are you guys planning?" He backed away slowly. He then took off in a run, closely followed by the two Mazinger pilots who have every intention of tickling the youngest Kabuto.

One Week Later

"I'm home!" Tetsuya called out as he kicked off his boots in the entryway before going into the house.

"Welcome back, Honey!" Jun replied from the kitchen.

"Mmm, what're you making? It smells yummy!" He walked into the dining room, then stopped. Sitting by the table was a doll sized high chair with a teddy bear sitting in it. On its chest was a note that read, "Welcome Home, Daddy."

Jun came into the dining room. "I'm making pressure cooker curry. I've been wanted to use that thing since we got it from Sayaka…" she stopped when she saw her husband's smiling face. "I just got the phone call from the doctor. I'm two months along."

"You..you're... Oh Jun!" He went over to her and wrapped his arms around her, laughing. "I knew it!" He held her closely. "I knew it…" He then released his hold and looked at her worriedly. "Wait, that fight…i-is the baby…?"

"The baby's fine. I made sure to check while we were in the hospital." She replied reassuringly.

"So how'd you find out? I mean.."

She smiled at him. "Well, remember when Gandal said something about a bonus, and he reached for my stomach?"

He nodded. "Yeah, and I told him to back off or else."

She giggled. "More like screamed at him! Anyway, I thought about it later, wondering why he was going for my stomach and not, you know.." She looked down at her chest.

"Because he knew I'd tear his lungs out if he did," he replied.

"I think you said 'liver'. Anyway, While I was in the hospital, I remembered…Tetsuya what are you doing?"

"It's a little warm in here, don't you think?" he replied as he removed his jacket and scarf, then unbuttoned his shirt. "There, that's better." He took her in his arms. "Now, please, go on."

She took a moment to admire her husband's well-muscled chest and abs, then smiled as she continued. "I remembered that I was late in my…my period…so I …I asked…" She moaned as she felt him nibbling her earlobe. "Tetsuya..Are you..listening to me?"

"Mm hmm. Every word…" he replied huskily, sliding his hands into the back of her shirt and unhooking her bra.

"I-I asked the doctor…to…Oh Tetsuya…" she moaned louder as she felt his hands caressing her. "Tetsuya…"

"That's it...keep saying my name...You're making me hard…" He relieved her of her top, then continued to hold her close, assaulting her with kisses.

She let out a small gasp as she felt his engorged length pressing against her. "Tetsuya…Tetsuya…" she moaned, finding herself unable to speak further.

"Mmm? What is it, my Valkyrie?" he asked, sliding his hands downward.

"Tetsuya...take me…Tetsuya…oh gods…take me!"

"Thought you'd never ask," he replied. He kissed her deeply as he laid her down on the rug.

A short while later, Boss came over to offer the couple some fresh ramen soup. He was about to knock when he heard screams of pleasure coming from within. Blushing, the large mecha pilot backed away and went home, deciding that the ramen can wait.
