A young teen was driving her home on the road in a clear sunny day towards the nearest town. She looked at the cars ahead of her before making a turn on her left onto another road. Looking up at her rear mirror seeing a cop turning their sirens on as she checked her gas seeing it almost out before pulling over. She opened her window as the officer came looking at the vehicle and stepped in front of her. "License and registration." Said the male officer. The girl handed the papers to him earning a weird look. "Stanley Norman? This is registered to Stanley and your names Natalie McFaddenAre you related to this man?" Said the officer. "I was the babysitter to hisfour kids. He retired and this doubled decker used to belong to him until he heard my parents kicking me out." Said Natalie. "So did he let you have this?" Said The officer. "Yeah. The number is still the same it that i need to get to the dmv to have my name put on it." Said Natalie. "Can i search the place in case you carry any drugs?" Said The officer. "Go ahead. I was gonna put gas in it anyways. If i have any from driving for days." Said Natalie as she opened the door. Natalie went to the sink. While the officer walked in seeing a conversion living home fully furnished and checked up the stairs to see a couch and a king size bed. He began looking around peeking through the cabinets and drawers finding nothing illegal. "Looks like your free to go. And keep this in case any officers question you." Said the officer handing her a small piece of paper. "Thanks and not to much trouble got any extra gas. Mine is half empty." Said Natalie shaking her red gas container. "Let me see. Dont anywhere." Said the officer taking her container. "Thanks Officer Perez." Said Natalie putting her papers in the compartment in the drivers seat. She heard the officer open the gas tank filling it for her and hit her bus twice signaling her that she was good to go. Officer Perez then came back handing her a full container of gas before he left.
Natalie turned on her bus and drove back on the road for a few more hours until she sees a sign ahead. Welcome to Santa Carla. Smiling she passed the sign then took a look around to find a good place to park. Finding a good spot near the board walk and made sure theres was no illegal issue before parking. She grabbed on cash that she saved before going to the store and locking up her home. Natalie walked to the store taking look before getting what she needed. She turned the corner and quickly took a step back as a man with a suit and round glasses almost ran into her. "Im sorry i didnt see there. Are you new in town?" Said the man. "Just got here. Im Natalie McFadden." Said Natalie shaking his hand. "Im Max. Welcome to Santa Carla." Said Max walking past her. "Thank you." Said Natalie going to the register to pay. She check how much she pay for all the items she had but didnt have enough for the roasted chicken."You got everything ma'am?" Said the male cashier. "I had second thoughts on the roasted chicken." Said Natalie. "No problem." Said the cashier putting her things in bags after being given the money. "Have a nice day." Said the cashier. "You too. Thanks." Said Natalie walking back to her bus. She opened her mini fridge restocking her shelves and put the other items like toilet paper, shampoos, and cleaning supplies in their spots. "Michael check out this place." Said a blonde boy looking through the window. Natalie saw him with another boy her age and a woman outside. She opened the doors standing on the bottom steps looking at the family. "Can i help you?" Said Natalie.
"Im Lucy and these are my sons Michael and Sam. We saw you at the store returning the roasted chicken. And being a mother i was noticing that you looked you haven't been eating all right. Not sounding to rude." Said the woman. "No. Im fine really. I just didnt have enough money to get a full meal. I do clean details but almost every place i go is hard to work. Or not trusting a teenager alone with their property." Said Natalie shrugging. "Well we got you the roasted chicken and was wondering if you would like to have dinner with us. If your family doesnt mind." Said the long brown haired boy handing the bag to her. "Its just me. Natalie Mcfadden. Thanks for the chicken but i need to get laundry done and look for a plumber for the bathroom and kitchen." Said Natalie. "Can we take a look inside?" Said the blonde. "Maybe later Sam. Michael help your brother with the groceries. It was nice meeting you Natalie." Said Lucy waving at her before leaving. Natalie placed the chicken on the container before heading out to the boardwalk as the sun was going down. She walked around the boardwalk looking at the people passing her having a great time. Her attention was brought to a small concert of a band playing under a bridge. She listening to the music while singing a bit to the song not seeing a figure approaching her. "Enjoying yourself." Said a bleach blonde wearing a leather jacket. "You can say that. Is it always like this?" Said Natalie gesturing the concert. "New girl. This aint nothing until you joined me and my boys. We go wild." Said The blonde. "I dont even know you or your boys. Im just having a look around." Said Natalie as three other boys came over. "Im David. Thats Dwyane, Marko, and Paul. We're the Lost Boys." Said the blonde pointing to the long dark hair boy, a dirty blonde with layers, and curly blonde with a colorful jacket. "Natalie. Nice to meet to you guys but i gotta do more exploring." Said Natalie suddenly feeling like a prey and left somewhere in the boardwalk. "She's cute." Said Paul as they watched her leave. "Come on let's go." Said David before lighting a cigarette.
