Rex-Mortuorum: Cyril is slowly going insane.
Gwynx: Pee water!
YeTianshi: Thing is, Ruby is playing by an internal script. She's actively trying to live the same life her mother and father had with only a few differences. Because she idolizes her parents. But that also means that unless Cyril, Weiss, or Blake does something. She'll ultimately side with them.
She saw how siding with Qrow nearly drove Cyril away. So, yeah. She's not in the business of repeating mistakes where she can avoid them.
Samejake: Back to the story!
A Dancing Leaf: Exactly! Hunter life is more often than not short with most dying in the mid to late thirties. Hell, Summer had three older sisters who all died before the age of 30. To a Hunter, if you have an issue with someone, deal with it, or let it go. Grudges and bottling things up only increases negativity. And that's even more dangerous.
Also, a few lines in the song: I just had sex.
I think she might've been a racist; Doesn't matter had sex.
She made me wear a bag on my head; Still counts!
Remnant of War: Ruby truly is her mother's daughter. And Tai really is carrying the sanity for the entire family.
No but really, Summer is normally far more calm and collected. It the fact that her family was getting involved that made her irrational and jumpy.
GideonBlackthorn: Summer was emotional and jumpy over Ruby being involved. Qrow more or less was just trying to make himself sound less like the at fault party. And ended up making Cyril sound more guilty by accident. Qrow doesn't care, because he doesn't believe there's anything left for him in life. So he's just chasing one tangible pleasure after the other. Fully intent on dying in service before he's old because to him, then at least his death and by proxy his life, will have been worth something. So, he doesn't feel the need to be better, because what's the point?
Summer's favorite kind of cookie is a sugar cookie.

Cyril Leon POV
.
Stepping into the room, I look over to Weiss's vanity and see her sitting there. Head in her hands as she stares at her reflection with a tired look.
"You good?" I ask as I walk over and set her planner down in front of her. "Also you left this in the lunch room."
"Thank you." She sighs. "I'm fine, just tired is all."
Stepping behind the 'tired' girl. I rest my head on hers, putting my arms around her shoulders as she presses her tail around my waist.
She doesn't say anything as I do this. Just closes her eyes and tucks her head down. Taking a deep breath as she relaxes.
"You seem stressed." I gently say.
She doesn't say anything and just takes another deep breath. Gripping my arms tighter as her tail pushes harder, nudging us closer together. And, that's when Weiss separates from me, letting go and pulling away. I'm about to say something when she leans over in her stool and takes off her heels. Meaning she has no intention of leaving the room anytime soon.
She then stands up, now a full head shorter than I, and turns to face me.
"Cyril, as your girlfriend I would like to request a massage." She says, eyes cast to the side and a small blush adorning her face.
"Alright." I agree easily enough, not about to turn down a chance to escalate things like before. "What kind?"
"I, I would like a shoulder massage." She says. "And this time you had better not get any ideas!"
I already have a few.
"Alright then." I say easily and put a hand on her head, giving her ears a good rub and earning a small groan of contentment from her.
As soon as I take my hand away, she moves her own up to undo her hairpiece and let her hair down. Setting it on the vanity, I then pick her up.
"Eep!" She squeaks as I pick her up princess style. Curling up in surprise, eyes wide and ears back as her tail wraps my arm.
She doesn't say anything as I walk away from her vanity and bed, and over to my bed. Where I sit down with her in my lap, facing away from me.
"I-I thought I said not to get any ideas!" She stutters.
"I'm not." I say as I put my hands on her shoulders and start kneading, earning a soft groan from the short girl. "I'm just giving you a massage, if you think I'm doing anything else, then it's you who's getting ideas."
She doesn't say anything as I keep going. Applying differing levels of pressure as she groans and squirms in my lap. Which, of course leads to the expected.
"Hmm!" She squeaks as my erection pokes her butt. "Y-you-"
She doesn't say anything as her squirming causes my bulge to slide between her legs and press against her crotch. Making her freeze as her hands shoot down to cover her groin.
"You're the one squirming around in my lap." I say as I move my hands down to her sides. "You remember how this ended last time, right?"
"You, you took advantage of me." She squeaks while nonetheless rocking back and forth in my lap. "And, and you're doing it again."
"And you asked that I be gentle about it." I say as I move forward to hug her tight. Leaving soft kisses along her neck, up to her human ears. Earning several more squeaks and a few shivers before I move a hand up to her breast.
She moans as I give her breast a soft squeeze. Moving her hand to mine, she makes me squeeze harder as her legs quiver. Before suddenly stopping as she pants.
"Everything okay?" I ask softly, not wanting to push her too far out of her comfort zone.
She doesn't say anything and just remains still. And as I think she might be done, she pulls away and stands up. Turns around and sits back down in my lap, now facing me with a shy look.
"What's this?" I ask, teasing her as she reaches down and unzips my pants, letting my bulge poke through the opening. "I thought I was the one taking advantage of you?"
"I-If I leave you be, it'll just build up." She stutters out a weak excuse. "A-and who knows, what you might do?"
"Whatever works." I smirk as she grabs my hand and puts it back on her chest.
She, doesn't move much, only sits there and closes her eyes as she moves slowly. Giving small squeaks and eeps as I feel my head rub along her slit through our clothes.
She then leans forward and kisses me desperately. Throwing her arms around my neck as she presses us as close together as she can. Holding me tight as her thighs squeeze down, before she pulls back and rests her head on my shoulder as she pants. Not once ceasing her movements as she moves her arms to keep her hands on my shoulders and steady herself.
"Ha, ha, mrm, ah!" She squeaks while sliding her crotch on my bulge.
She slows down before shakily pushing up and stares me in the eye. Half lidded eyes, massive blush and ears splayed back as she pants.
"C-can, can I see it?" She asks shyly.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out what she means. And it'd take a fool to deny that at this point.
"Go for it." I say easily.
Weiss tentatively scoots back and moves her skirt to show my underwear bulging through the open zipper. Where she reaches down and shakily unbuttons my pants and undoes my belt.
Placing a hand on my bulge, she squeezes my cock through my underwear. Earning a soft groan from me. One she takes as encouragement to do it again. Then, doing something I did not expect from her, she slides back further off of my lap and gets to her knees between my legs. Getting, rather close to my still covered crotch. Seeming almost mesmerized as her breath gets heavy near my cock.
"Are you going to-"
"Don't rush me!" She snaps, but grabs the hem of my underwear regardless and starts to pull them down.
She ends up doing the same as Ruby, by which she pulls it in a way that causes my cock to spring up and slap her in the face. Surprising her as her eyes grow wide at the sight.
"Th-that's supposed to, how?" She says with a worried look as she stares at my dick. The head going above her eyes.
"Well, normally-" I start to say before her ears perk up, just before she shoots up and tries to buckle my pants back up.
"Weiss, what, what are you do-" Is all I get out before she turns and sits in my lap, my cock resting between her thighs and against her underwear covered pussy under her skirt as she closes her legs and moves my hands to hold her in a hug, just as the door opens to reveal Ruby and Blake.

Ruby Rose POV
.
Walking behind Blake, I notice Cyril holding Weiss in his lap. Blushing like the little shy girl she is. Walking towards the two, smiling at how she's getting shyer as I get closer.
"You feeling better?" I ask as I sit next to her and Cyril.
"Um, yeah." She says curtly as she keeps her hands in her lap. "Just um, needed some time to myself."
"She just had a few things on her mind." Cyril says as he rests his head on hers. "Some a bit more pressing and hard to ignore than others."
"Ugh." I say as I lean into Cyril. "I know how she feels. With everything that's happened."
"I'm fine." She insists, ears splayed back, and tail, wrapping around her front. And not me or Cyril.
Squinting up at Cyril, I notice a bit of a smirk on his face as he keeps his eyes locked down on Weiss. Looking down, I notice her skirt, is bunched up near Cyril's waist rather than under her. Meaning her bare legs and underwear are on his lap. Also, his belt is loose on his hips.
Looking back up to Cyril, I tap his shoulder. Causing him to look at me and see my knowing smile. His eyes widening in recognition before softening as he smirks back at me.
"Are you sure Weiss?" I ask. "If it's something too big and hard to handle on your own. You can always ask for help." I say, watching her tail twitch.
"It shouldn't be too big to handle." Cyril says as I watch her blush stretch down to her neck.
"You shouldn't downplay issues." I say and playfully hip bump him, earning a soft eep from Weiss. "I know of something I had to deal with not too recently, and it was very big. And I had to deal with it on my own."
"You guys aren't nearly as subtle as you think you are." Blake pipes up as she opens a drawer in her dresser and starts rummaging through it. "You forget I was in a long term relationship."
"I have no clue what you're talking about." Weiss challenges.
"Then stand up." Blake calls her bluff, tilting her head to look at us.
Weiss doesn't dare say anything, or even look back at Blake. And Cyril is just as quiet.
"Blake, can you give us like, five minutes?" I ask, giving puppy dog eyes.
"Nope." Blake says as she sits on her bed and crosses her arms. "I have, one boundary. Let me know beforehand. You guys don't want to respect it, fine." She shrugs and stares us down.
"Well, things can just happen." Weiss squeaks out.
"A simple text, is all I ask." Blake glares. "So, I'll just relax here and you three can figure something out."
This is humiliating.

Cyril Leon POV
.
We ended up having to wait nearly half an hour. Mostly for me to calm down. Which, as awkward as the situation was, should've been easy. Except for the fact that Weiss is super sensitive and any shift caused her to squirm in place.
She's currently hidden under her covers and refusing to look at anyone. Similarly, Ruby took the awkwardness as a sign to 'take a minute and check in with her parents.' While I have to get ready for my tutoring session with Velvet.

Fun.

Weiss Schnee POV
.
"You never told me he was that big!" I hiss as we get dressed for bed.
"I told you he made me feel full." Ruby defends.
'A bagel can make someone feel full. That's not exactly an accurate descriptive measurement.' I think to myself.
"Ruby, I had to look up." I stress, embarrassed that I have to spell this out to her. "How is that supposed to feel good, let alone even fit?"
"You'd be surprised." Blake says as she slides into her underwear. "Adam isn't small by any means either, and trust me, it was a snug fit at first. You just, get used to it."
Easy for her to say. She has at least a few years of experience and a body more fit for such exercises. Whereas I'm, notably lacking in certain regards.
I'm small. I'm well aware of this.
"Yeah!" Ruby says, agreeing with Blake. "You just gotta get used to it. I mean, I needed to stop and take a breath a few times at first but, trust me. It's worth it."
'It had better be!' A part of me thinks bitterly. 'Because after seeing that, I'm not sure how I could possibly enjoy it being shoved in me.'
"Ruby, you're half a head larger than me." I point out as I slide my nightgown over my head. "I feel, getting used to it, is a bit of an understatement."
"Well~" Ruby says as she walks up behind me for a hug. "I could always be there with you, give you a, helping hand?"
At this point, I feel that may be the better option if I want to advance my relationship with Cyril. Otherwise, I don't very well see how I'm getting that far. Not with my inexperience.
"I, s-suppose it would be more advantageous to defer to one with more, experience." I begrudgingly admit as I feel Ruby's hands start to wander. One up and one down.
"Hey!" Blake says, throwing a pillow at us. "Not while I'm in the room."
"Fine!" Ruby pouts as she moves her hands back to my waist and holds me tight as she grumbles. "Weiss, set a time for when you, want some help okay? That way Blake doesn't throw a fit."
'Oh my god.' I think to myself as I realize I'm setting up an Atlesian Threesome for my first time. 'There are worse ways to have a first time I suppose.'
Besides, I hear first times can be awkward when you don't know what you're doing. So, having someone there who does should be less awkward, right?
"If you were in my shoes you'd feel the same." Blake says.
"If I was in your shoes, I'd jump at the chance to have a team bonding session." Ruby grumbles as she nuzzles the crook of my shoulder.
"Fine, Blake, can we have the room at-"

Cyril Leon POV
.
"Alright!" Tai says as he claps his hands. "Today we're going over some basics. Landing strategies. Most of you probably already have a decent handle on landing strategies, but that's for the environments you stay in. Raise your hand if you've never been to a forest for a landing strategy!"
All of NDGO and most of DARK, as well as half the Atlesian Team Penny is with raise their hands.
"Alright, in that case I'll be splitting you all up and pairing you with teams who know what they're doing." Tai continues to explain. "Team Prusian with Team Indigo, Team Dark with Team Caaa, Silver!"
Probably a good save on his part. Because for those who didn't catch it, Tai was about to pair the all Faunus team from Menagerie with Cardin's team.
Though, lately it's been more Russel's team. Seeing as he's taken charge and keeping everyone in check. Dove and Sky seem a bit, passive.
The Menagerian team walks over to us, walking around the other teams to find us. Menagerie has a more, freeform approach to their student's wear. Much like Vacuo, there is no uniform. Not that it matters now. We're all in our combat gear.
One thing I notice though. They are, tall. Like seriously, the two guys are giants. Mostly.
"Okay!" Ruby says as she jumps in front and gives a salute. "Introductions! I'm Ruby Rose! The defacto leader of this lovely band of beautiful butt kickers!"
"Um, says who?" Weiss crosses her arms, causing Ruby to turn around and give a sly smile, one that merely gets a raised brow and an eye roll in return.
"The defacto leader!" Ruby turns back to the foreign team.
"Dorian Gainesboro." The tall, very thin tanned man with white cornrows and purple snake eyes says as he bows. "At your service."
He's wearing sandy a cloak and cowl that has brown diamond patterning on it. As well as a loose dessert toga and wrapped sandals. A long sword sheath on his side, the handle having several notches and dials visible.
"Blake." Blake says curtly without moving from her spot.
"Alice." The blonde in a blue dress that parts to reveal dark blue baggy pants, and armored shoes. The dress's skirt has sky blue vine like designs that fade as they reach her waist. She also has a silver vinelike tiara.
All of it being very reminiscent of Blake's style. Just, pallet swapped and with different articles.
"Cyril Leon. Depending on who you ask, I'm either the insane one, or the sane one." I say with a smile as I step forth.
"Bruder Rake!" Says the giant of a man as he brings a fist to his armored chest. Marked with fair skin, messy brown hair, and four clear insect wings coming out of his back. Black scaled armor with orange-gold trims on the hexagonal scales. And a thick tower shield on his arm. And a black warhammer that looks as though the head is a gatling barrel with spikes. "My friends call me buzz!"
He's like, two heads taller than me. And easily the tallest person I've ever seen in person.
"Weiss Schnee." Weiss says with a curtsy. "I apologize in advance for any stress my team causes."
"Nixie Kalt!" The pale girl with blue fins coming out of her forearms says, sounding like an Australian Nora. "When are we wrecking shit?"
She's wearing tinted goggles, a black and blue cowboy hat, a latex blue bikini top, a dark blue rubber waist cloth. And a belt full of grenades. Oh, and two chainsaw swords on her belt as well.
"You're Dark's Nora, aren't you?" I ask.
"Ain't a clue who that is but I wanna meet'er." She gives a manic smile.
"Ignore her." Bruder says as he put's a hand on the barely five foot tall girl and pushes her back. "If you engage, she'll just get worse."
"I'll show you worse you overgrown pecker!" She shouts as she starts swinging on the man almost two feet taller than her.
"Nixie, just shut it already." Alice says as she pinches the bridge of her nose.
"Yeah, I apologize for them as well." Dorian shrugs.
.
.
"So you've never practiced landing strategies in a forest." I sum up.
"I know how to break my fall using trees." Alice defends with a glare. "I know what I'm doing."
"Palm trees?" I specify.
"Trees." She reinforces, crossing her arms.
"These are evergreen, oak, ash and maple." I point out to the woods.
"A tree's a tree!" She yells. "The fuck does it matter what kind?"
This is the third time I've had this conversation. Weiss originally tried, but left as soon as Alice raised her voice the second time. Said, 'I'll not have my kindness be blatantly disrespected.'
Ruby is busy with Nixie. And Blake is talking to Dorian. While Weiss took over helping Bruder.
"Because these kinds don't bend." I stress.
She just rolls her eyes at me and scoffs.
"Typical Atlesian know-it-all." She mutters.
Now I get it.
She's racist and close minded. Like Blake. That explains, a lot.
"Fine then." I smile, willing to indulge her and get this over with. "You know what you're doing, so let's go to the plates."
"But you didn't teach me anything." She argues.
'Rrmm!' I seethe internally. 'It's like you want me to break your nose!'
"What do you want me to teach you?" I cross my arms and give a forced smile.
"How to perform a proper land in a forest, like you're supposed to be doing." She says, leaning forward and giving a bratty bob of her head.
"That's what I-" I start before getting frustrated and taking a deep breath. "Okay, let's start from the beginning."
I, fucking swear.
'Cliff's right there.' The intrusive thoughts start whispering. 'You could always go the hands on approach.'
"Fine, let's start over." She says.
"Good, first off. You need to be aware of the density of these trees." I begin to explain.
The problem with her strategy, is that Menagerie has no solid trees. It's all palm trees and the like. Palm trees bend. Like, a lot. Making them ideal for grabbing onto and breaking your fall.
"Skip past the tree thing already!" She shouts.
'Right there~' The voice whispers.
"Alright." I say with a smile. "Onto practical application then!"
.
.
Ruby Rose POV
.
"That works with water, but dense foliage is different." I explain.
Menagerie is lush and vibrant. It has a jungle, but it's a low density jungle with little brush. Even then.
"An why not?" She asks with a tilt of her head while putting a hand on her hip.
"Because dirt, rocks and plants don't splash?" I try to explain. And she just smiles.
"Tha's cuz you're not using the right bomb." She says.
"Ears!" I hear Cyril shout, and cover mine out of reflex. "Fus Ro!"
Uncovering my ears and unclenching my eyes. I see Nixie flinched back and now has her dual sided chainsaw glaive at the ready.
"Bloody hell was that!?" She asks as the rest jog over.
"That was Cyril." Blake answers as she passes us.
"Wasn't he coaching Alice?" The giant man asks.
"I thought that was Wise." Dorian says.
"Weiss." Weiss corrects. "And I traded out with Cyril because I was losing my patience."
'Cyril is the patient one among us.' I think as we jog over to where Cyril is. 'Or, at least the most tolerant one.'
"Cyril!" I call out before petalling over and standing beside him. "What happened?"
"I let the intrusive thoughts win." He shrugs.
"What?" I ask just as the others catch up.
"What happened, where's Alice?" Dorian asks.
"Getting practice in." Cyril says as he points out to the distance, where we follow his finger, and see the girl falling into the forest.
'Oh.' I think to myself as I realize Cyril lost his patience. 'What kind of person does it take to make him lose his cool?'
I've seen him kidnapped and not raise too much of a fuss. At least, not at first.
Point is it takes a lot for him to attack someone.
"Welp." Cyril says with a nod. "Should probably make sure she doesn't die."
.
.
Cyril Leon POV
.
Getting into a runners stance, I pull on the well of magic inside me. Feeling its warmth flow through to my legs as I imagine what I want it to do.
"What are you doing?" Bruder asks.
"Cyril, this is a dumb idea." Blake says.
"Maybe, but I'm doing it anyway." I say as I feel my magic settle in my legs. Looking down, I see wisps of soft purple light coalesce into glyph like rings around my legs. Kinda like Doctor Strange magic sigils.
"What is he doing?" Dorian asks as he steps back.
I don't hear anymore as I break into a sprint towards the cliff edge. None of them try to stop me, probably believing I have a plan.
They'd be wrong by the way. I'm just stressed and looking for a vent.
Reaching the cliff edge, I tense my legs and launch. The rings all pushing down against the ground and adding to my jump. Leaving the cliff behind as the forest passes below me in a sea of green.
Flying through the air, I keep track of where Alice fell through the canopy. Before noticing that I'm going to be a few paces short of her fall.
Deciding it doesn't matter. I unsheathe my axes just before crashing through the canopy, and do as I did last time. Hooking my right axe into the trunk of a large tree and let the chain loose. I let gravity and physics do their thing before tugging just as the chain goes taught. Dislodging the axe and letting me fall safely to the ground.
"Alright." I say as I activate my semblance and scan the area before deactivating it after seeing no Grimm.
Hearing the sounds of battle, I take off in a sprint. Hoping I get there before I get in trouble for killing a foreign exchange student.
Coming upon a small clearing in the brush, I notice the rabbit tailed Faunus fighting a group of boarbutusks. And not very well mind you.
She's tossing out her chakrams and catching them, but she's aiming at their armored backs. Clearly panicked and desperate as she can't seem to find a way to attack their underbellies.
Running in from the side, I activate my semblance and grab a charging boarbatusk by the tusk and hold it up. Bring the other axe around and blow its head off.
Ignoring the girl's squawking, I turn to the other four pigs. And twirl my axes in my hands as another charges.
Waiting for it to get close, I kick it in the snout with a magic enforced leg. Sending it back into a tree.
Grinning, I charge forward as two more roll at me. Letting the adrenaline and thrill take over. I power slide, using my semblance to slow time as I slice off one's legs while aiming my axe at the other. Pulling the trigger, I watch in slow motion as the pig stops dead in its charge.
Cutting off my semblance. I turn to the remaining pig, turn my axe into its pic form and throw my axe while distending the chain, hitting it in the eye. Then pulling it over like Scorpion, I hold it up by the tusk and focus my magic into my eyes. Letting the boar disintegrate as I, literally on a whim, figure out how to use my silver eyes.
Taking a deep, satisfying breath, I drop the disintegrating tusk. And turn back to the wide eyed, blue dressed exchange student.
"Soooo." I say with a smile. "How was the landing?"
.
.
"I don't get it Alice." Dorian says as we make it back just in time for class to end. "You're stubborn, I get it. But you're acting like a Franz."
"Fuck you, you lanky incestuous sand sniffer!" She cusses out the snake Faunus.
"Okay woah!" Blake says as she steps between the two and turns to the girl. "That was way uncalled for."
"Context?" I ask to no one in particular.
"I'unno." Ruby shrugs.
"Franz are one of the nine main clans on Menagerie." Weiss speaks up before tentatively adding. "They've a reputation for, being hardheaded."
"And Alice took being called one, personally?" I ask.
"Yep." Weiss says as the argument behind us concludes in time for us to enter the building.

Roman Torchwick POV
.
"Got anything for me?" I ask Junior.
"Not a thing Roman." He says as he wipes the bar down, setting up for the nightly rush. "You might as well've given me a ghost. From Seclus."
'The fallen Kingdom.' I snort at his sarcasm.
"Really?" I ask as I pull out a cigar, only for the man to snatch my light out of my hands.
I give him a flat look as I take my cigar out from my lips. Holding it between my fingers as I lean on the counter.
He gives me a glare and I roll my eyes as I put the cigar back in my pocket.
"Seriously." Junior says as he places my light back on the counter. "Kids registered as being from the Valean outskirts, but that's it."
"Which puts him anywhere from the Altradoan coast, Alexander's landing, the lower cairn, or even an unregistered house on Patch." I point out.
"Yep." Junior says as he puts the rag away and washes his hands in the sink just under the barview.
Which leaves me more fucked for clues than a Faunus in a Mistralian brothel.
"Come on, I'm paying top dollar." I push, hoping he's just trying to cheat me, and isn't being genuine with his lack of findings. Cause only one of those can be dealt with. "I'd understand if he was some no name brat from the outskirts with no paper trail. Twelve of those pop into Vale on the daily. But he's got silver eyes. And you're telling me there are zero records? That doesn't just happen Hei."
"You think I don't know that?" He says in a harsh whisper as he sets both hands on the counter and glowers at me. "Roman, you're not the first to come to me looking into the kid."
'Well, that's troubling.' I think to myself as I ponder what that could mean for me.
"Who else is looking into him?" I ask.
Junior looks away from me. Clearly debating on whether or not to talk. Making whoever this is, mystery patron a big deal. Big enough that an info broker isn't willing to do the one thing he's built a name on.
"Come on Junior, have I ever let you down?" I prod.
"Yes." He says without hesitation.
"Huh, well now, that doesn't sound like me." I say as I pull my cigar out and lean back to light it before he can snatch the lighter. Taking a drag of the Vacuoan import, I turn my head and let out a puff of smoke before looking back to Hei. "I must've been drunk. Or impersonated."
Junior sighs and shakes his head before looking back up to me.
"Come on, a name." I ask with a sigh, sincerely tired of this back and forth.
"You didn't hear it from me." He says harshly, actually snarling, sneering? Snarling. At me.
"I never do." I say with an easy smile as I hold my arms out.
He glares a bit longer, before dropping it as he whispers the last name I expected.
"The Queen of the Underworld." He says, causing me to drop my cigar.

Cyril Leon POV
.
"I still don't see why I have to wear this damn suit." I say as I adjust the tie with one hand, the other being occupied by large briefcase containing the prototype solar powered drone.
They already have drone technology, it was just a matter of figuring out how to swap out the dust converter for a solar converter. Not sure if I'm using the right terms, but fuck it. Not like anyone's about to correct me.
"This is a formal meeting between the CEO of the SDC and the lead director and chief scientist of Atlas's military RnD division." Weiss reminds me as she puts away her miniature makeup kit. "You do not want to be making a bad impression."
She then turns to me with a scowl and reaches up. Grabbing my tie and readjusting it to how it was before.
"At least try to act like you have standards." She glares at me before giving one last tightening tug.
"I do too have standards." I protest.
"Cyril, just this morning you were about to walk out of the room in two different socks." She argues.
"Okay, one sock being black and the other being white shouldn't be that big of an issue." I roll my eyes at her.
"They were different lengths." Weiss hisses as the elevator dings and the door opens to reveal an empty restaurant. Save for the sounds of the chef cooking in the kitchen, the twelve or so secret service looking guys posted around the place.
And a lone Jacques Schnee sitting by the window to the balcony. Looking out into the city as he rests his elbows on the table with his hands clasped in front of his face. Lost in thought before looking over to us and giving a practiced smile.
I really want to pull out some bull and mess with Weiss further. Mainly because I just thought of the line, 'Well I'm dating you, so clearly I have at least a few standards. Rather high ones at that.'
But, I'll have to save it for later. For now, this is important. Both for my finances in the future, and to Weiss for more reasons than I care to list.
"Ah, Weiss, Cyril." He says with a practiced neutral tone. The kind you hear a lawyer use when making an opening statement. "Please, sit." He gestures in front of him to the ornate silver, red cushioned chairs.
We make our way to the round table. With me and Weiss sitting next to each other directly across from him.
"I see your cast of background characters is absent." I note.
"They were, unnecessary for this meeting." He says calmly. "They were here to give a sense of social decorum. And as of now, they'd be a liability."
'Loose lips sink ships.' I internally note before recalling there's suppose to be five total for this meeting.
"I thought there were supposed to be two others joining us." I say.
"They'll be here in time." Jacques says. "They appear to be held up by traffic. But until then I see no reason we cannot converse on more mundane topics."
'Is this his attempt to build a good rapport with me?' I think to myself before he looks to Weiss.
"Weiss, I trust things are going well for you at Beacon?" He asks.
Weiss's tale wraps around my waist under the table. But she gives no further indication that she's uncomfortable. Having a poker face that would put a robot to shame.
"They are." Weiss nods. "My team is currently top ranked in nearly every category."
Ruby sucks at history. Blake is mid as far as combat goes even though she easily makes up for it in survival skills. Weiss is good at everything because she's a perfectionist and sees a B as a failing grade. Whereas I coast on an A- average.
Peach is not a lenient teacher. She'll mark an answer wrong if you misspell a single word. Weiss loves her. The rest of us think she sucks.
"Nearly?" Jacques raises a brow. "Friction in the team, or are there merely areas where certain skills are lacking for certain individuals?"
Noticing Weiss get tense. I shift his focus.
"A bit of both." I answer for her, gaining his attention.
"Oh, is there a story there?" He asks. "I mean not to pry too deep if you don't want. I merely wish to understand my daughter's daily life, and see to any struggles she may have."
I just cannot read this guy. One second he's suave business, the next he's loving father without ever switching.
"Nothing you can help with." I wave him off. "Personal issues that already got dealt with, and some of us suffer in certain academical areas."
"I see." He says simply with a soft nod. "If you don't mind me asking, how are you and my daughter getting along?"
"Shouldn't you ask her?" I ask with a raised brow. Wondering why he'd ask me that question, when she's right here.
"Unless I'm mistaken, you seemed to have want to draw my attention away from her." He points out, causing my heart to skip a beat. "Am I wrong?"
This is why I'm so on edge around this guy. He's smart. And I know for a fact you don't become the leading anything in the world, without being ruthless.
"Ah, it seems we'll have to continue this another time." He says, sitting up straight just before the elevator dings.
"Apologies for our tardiness." I hear a distinguished voice say behind us.
I turn around and feel my blood freeze colder than the relationship Weiss has with Jacques.
"Salutations Friend Cyril and Friend Weiss." Penny says with a salute. Dressed in her usual color swapped dress. I always thought it odd that the greens were replaced with Blue. And the greys were black. Though, the man next to her, probably explains a lot in that regard.
"Greetings Mr. Leon. I'm aware you're already familiar with my daughter, but allow me to introduce myself." The tall dapper dressed man with a moustache says as he extends a gloved hand. "I am the proud head of Atlas's Military Research and Development. Arthur Watts, here with my daughter, Penny Watts. Pleasure to meet you."

General James Ironwood POV
.
"It would seem the mysteries keep piling up." I note as I review the sheet on the screen.
'Unknown religion, nonfanatical so we can rule out a cult. Unknown village, not unheard of. Rather common actually. Magic, from what all the reports indicate he is a boy. And Ozma already has an incarnation.' I start listing off internally. 'Now, unheard of technology. Dustless energy.'
It'd been long theorized to be possible. But, possible doesn't always equal probable, or even doable.
An unknown homeland, unknown religion, complete culture shock and no concept of Lien as a currency if Qrow is to be believed. Hell, the kid wasn't even aware the status he was afforded as a Silver Eyed Warrior.
On top of all this, the dustless technology. It's like he popped out of a fairy tale.
I'm brought out of my thoughts as I see an incoming call on my screen. From, Winter.
"No rest for the wicked." I sigh as I lay my head in my hands, taking a deep breath and composing myself before answering the call. "Specialist. Do you have news for me?"
"General, I'm en route with the rest of the Atlesian detail you requested." Winter says professionally, before adding. "And we've been over this, I'd prefer you call me Winter."
"That would be highly inappropriate Specialist Schnee." I say, using her last name to intentionally annoy her into stopping. "And before you say anything else, I'd like to remind you that this is a recorded line."
It's not.
"Very well General." She says after taking a breath. "If that is all, I'll take my leave."
"That is all." I nod, grateful to have dodged that bullet.

Ruby out here being the little enabler that she is.
Something I don't show often enough is the fact that outside of being alone with Cyril or Ruby. Weiss, acts almost the exact same as she does in canon. Recall when Dorian gave her his number, she stared him in the eye and tore it up in front of him. Then acted as though it never happened because that's how much she cares.
This Weiss was nicer to Cyril and Ruby due to their Silver Eyes and Cyril's dead beat dad. Remember he had a step dad after his left to get milk.
Weiss was appeasing and pitying them. Problem is, that opened her up to a lot of self discoveries in regards to the two. Remember, she was fully prepared to enter a fake relationship with one of them and was willing to pay them. Before she realized that, neither of them care about that.
So, one thing led to another. Ruby's instigating/enabling lack of Atlesian social pressures Cyril checking off her list of daddy issues = A Weiss who can cut loose and be herself. Be a relatively normal girl without the stress and expectations of needing to be this perfect heir.
Which is a long way of saying she's slowly coming out of her shell.
.
Also, to be clear. Cyril is a little over 7 inches. He's big, but he'd not monstrous like Weiss is claiming.
She's just small, and nervous.
