"Hi. I'm Mavis Vermillion, and this is Tenrou Island!" Out in the middle of the sea, on an island, a young woman with wavy blonde hair stood there and spoke to the audience. "This here will be the sight for a new and upcoming reality game show, and I will be your host. Here on Tenrou Island, twenty competitors will be staying here in this camp-themed setting. They will go against each in various challenges to try and be the last one standing. At the end of each challenge, someone will be voted out. They will be competing for a chance to win one-million dollars. There will be drama, humor, suspense, and of course fierce competition. In the end, only one will win it all. It's all happening right here in Tenrou Island, or as the show has now dubbed it, Challenge Island!"

Challenge Island, a chance for twenty competitors to win one-million dollars. It's going to be fun, dramatic, and much more. You don't want to miss it.

"Now, let us welcome our twenty competitors that will be going against each other." Mavis said. "Here comes the first one right now." Several boats were coming in one by one, the boats that contain the fortunate twenty and possible winner. "Here's, Levy!" The first to dock was a girl named Levy that seemed real excited. "Welcome, Levy."

"Thank you, Mavis! I can't believe I am really here!" Levy said as she was so excited. "I read so much about camping so I would be ready."

"Great, but we do have bunks and a mess hall." Mavis said. Another boat came in to bring in another contestant. "Welcome, Erza! Glad to have you here."

"Thank you." Erza said. "So, what is the first challenge?"

"I see someone is a little excited to get started, but let's try to hold that excitement." Mavis said. "Here is the next contestant. "Hello, Gray." The next one to show up was a guy who was playing it cool.

"Hey." Gray said.

"How do you feel about being here?" Mavis questioned.

"It's fine. So, when do we get started?" Gray said.

"Two people that are eager to go. Good, but let's wait for the rest of the contestants." Mavis said. "In fact, here's Juvia!" The next contestant arrived with it being another blue haired female. "Welcome, Juvia."

"Thank you for having me. I'm glad to be here and..." Juvia greeted, but then noticed Gray. As soon as she saw him, it was love at first sight for her. Her heart was beating incredibly fast. "Oh my! Hello there!"

"Hey." Gray said as he just brushed it off. Then, the next contestant arrived as it ended up looking like some sort of punk with his own amp.

"Hello there, Gajeel." Mavis said. "Listen, I know you've been in juvey, but don't let that bother you." She said as she tried to make Gajeel feel more at ease.

"Whatever. The other contestants just better stay out of my way." Gajeel said. He already made a strong impression.

"Okay... Lucky for us, the next contestant to show is three in one." Mavis said. The next boat showed up and it had three contestants together. "We have the Strauss siblings: Mirajane, Lisanna, and Elfman."

"Hi, Mavis. Thanks for having us." Mirajane said.

"This is going to be so much fun." Lisanna said.

"You can say that again. This island looks real manly." Elfman said.

"Thank you... I think." Mavis said.

"Hold up. Those three are siblings? Isn't that unfair?" Gray said. "All three of them can just team up."

"Don't worry. Everything is going to be just fine." Mavis said. "Anyway, here comes our next contestant. Here's Lucy." The next to come was a blonde that was also quite lovely. "Hi, Lucy."

"Hi. I'm really glad to be here." Lucy said. "Listen, the part about that contract I signed about parents not being able to interfere is still strong, right?"

"Right. You don't have to worry." Mavis said. Lucy was really glad to hear about that. Then, the next contestant arrived.

"Loke! Nice to have you!" Mavis said.

"It's nice to be here. I see the ladies have already arrived." Loke said as he was glad to have them around. He got right between Lucy and Erza with him putting his arms around them. "I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun together."

"Down boy." Lucy said.

"Don't think you can charm us so easily." Erza said as they aren't going to fall so easily to this playboy. The next one to show up was a big guy, and a little intimidating.

"Laxus! Glad to have you." Mavis said.

"Thanks. Got to say, not much competition." Laxus said as he didn't seem that impressed.

"Yeah!" The next one to show was so excited that he jumped right off the boat.

"Natsu! I see someone is excited." Mavis said.

"You bet I am! This is going to be awesome!" Natsu said. He was so exited that he went to the other contestants, he didn't slam the breaks until he bumped into Lucy. Luckily, he caught her. "Whoops. Sorry about that."

"It's fine. Just try to be more careful." Lucy said. The next to show was another blue hair, but was a man.

"Welcome, Jellal." Mavis said.

"Thank you." Jellal said. He went over and stood right next to Erza. "Hi. I'm Jellal."

"Erza."

"Nice name. Love your hair. It looks really pretty." Jellal said with Erza starting to blush. Smooth. Then, the next contestant to show was another man.

"Hello, Lyon." Mavis greeted.

"Hello." Lyon said and stood with the others. "You must be the others. It's a pleasure to... What the heck?!" All of them spotted the next contestant, but she was dressed a little more revealing.

"Brandish..." Mavis said.

"Hi. So, I'm going to be stuck on this island until I win the million?" Brandish questioned.

"Or until you're voted out." Mavis claimed.

"This is going to be a hassle, but at least I'm on an island getaway." Brandish said.

"Is she not aware of what she's wearing on public television?" Lucy whispered.

"Maybe she doesn't care." Natsu said. The next to show was another lady with white hair.

"Hello, Yukino." Mavis greeted.

"Hello. Its nice to meet all of you." Yukino said. "I'm hoping we can be good friends." She seems nice, but you know what they say about nice people.

"And here come two together: Sting and Rogue." Mavis said with two arriving together.

"Oh yeah! This is going to be awesome!" Sting said.

"Easy, Sting. We're here for competition." Rogue claimed.

"Loosen up, Rogue. Try to enjoy our time here." Sting said.

"And here comes our next contestant: Cana." Mavis said as another woman showed.

"What's up? Who is ready to have some fun?" Cana said as she chugged a bottle.

"Are you drinking this early?!" Mavis said. "Cana, we cant allow alcohol."

"What?! You mean I have to do this all sober?!" Cana said. Mavis made that clear by taking the bottle out of Cana's hands. Cana isn't going to enjoy this now.

"And here comes our last contestant: Minerva." Mavis said. Minerva showed up with Mavis helping her off the boat.

"Thank you." Minerva said. "So, this is who I'm up against. I must say that there doesn't appear to be much competition. You might as well just hand me that money now."

"Okay, the big guy in blond already said that." Erza said. "If you think you can't take him at least, you're clearly cocky and overconfident."

"Am I?" Minerva said. "It figures someone who doesn't look like they would be much competition would say something like that." Those two already got on the wrong foot with them glaring at each other with sparks of rivalry.

"Well, this already seems like it's a great start." Mavis said. "We now have all twenty of our competitors! This is going to be your home for the next several weeks. Brace yourselves because it won't be just a mere camp around here." All of them came here for competition, and they'll have to ready themselves. After all of the contestants arrived, all of them moved to a campfire to get familiar with how things are going to work. "Okay. Welcome to Tenrou Island, but for this show, it's going to be called Challenge Island. You're all here because each of you have a chance to win one-million dollars. The only way you're going to get that money is to be the last contestant left standing. Any questions so far?"

"Yeah. What are the sleeping arrangements going to be like?" Loke asked. "Considering the border between genders is thinner this day and age, are we going to be sleeping with the ladies." He said with his fantasies being implied.

"Ooh. I like the sound of that." Sting said.

"They aren't really co-ed, are they?" Lucy questioned.

"No. We have two cabins where guys sleep on one side and girls sleep on the other for that very reason." Mavis said. "We were considerate and careful about something like that when we sent out applications, so there shouldn't be any problems. "Now, take note as to where you are right now. Not only is this going to the campfire, but it's also going to be the site for the Elimination Ceremony."

"Elimination Ceremony?" Juvia questioned.

"After each challenge, the losing team will return here where they will vote someone out." Mavis explained. "Whoever is voted out will have to sadly get on the next boat out of here. We also set up a confessional booth for you to spill your inner thoughts or if you just want to get something off your chest.

Confessional (Natsu): This is awesome. We get to partake in challenges, and have a chance to win a million dollars. I'm getting fired up.

Confessional (Lucy): I can't believe I'm here! I feel so free! My dad is so controlling, but the contract I signed says that he can't interfere as long as I'm here.

"You said teams. How do we decide that?" Gray asked.

"We already decided the teams. If I say your name, it means you are one team." Mavis said. "Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Erza, Levy, Juvia, Loke, Lyon, Elfman, and Brandish. You all will be one team and will be known as the Fierce Falcons."

"Fierce Falcons? How did you come up with that?" Levy questioned.

"I wanted the team names to sound fun, and putting an animal in the name helped with that." Mavis said.

"Wait. I thought I was going to be on the same team as Mira and Lisanna. What about them?" Elfman questioned.

"I was getting to that. The rest of you... Gajeel, Laxus, Mirajane, Jellal, Minerva, Lisanna, Sting, Rogue, Cana, and Yukino will be the other team." Mavis claimed. "You will be the Tenacious Tigers."

"Tigers?! Awesome! That's my favorite animal!" Sting said. The teams were formed, but Elfman seemed a little disappointed he wasn't going to be on the same team with his sisters.

"Don't be upset, Big Brother." Lisanna said.

"Yeah. We might not be on the same team, but this will still be fun." Mirajane claimed.

"I know. I'm a real man, and a real man works with the team he's got." Elfman claimed as he tried to suck it up.

"Great. Now that we have all of that settled, go get yourselves settled at your cabins and have some lunch." Mavis said. "Although, you shouldn't get too comfortable. Tomorrow will be your first challenge, and that also means that we'll have the first person voted out soon."

...

Fierce Falcons

"Bunk beds?" Brandish said as the Fierce Falcons checked out their cabin. "Aren't we a little old for something like this?"

"It's not that big of a deal." Erza said as all of them tried to get themselves settled.

"I'm fine with it, just as long the guys keep on their side." Lucy said. "Last thing we need is you guys trying to sneak a peak at us."

"I'm fine with how things are." Natsu said. "Having our side means a spot we guys can just cut loose when the girls aren't around."

"Elfman, right? Are you going to be okay?" Gray asked. "You seemed a little bummed that you weren't place on the same team as your sisters."

"I wasn't expecting to go against them so soon on different teams." Elfman said. "Oh well. I'm just going to have to try and suck it up."

"That's the spirit." Gray said. "You three are obviously close, but don't let the fact that you're on different teams bother you so much."

"Wow. You seem so kind and considerate of others." Juvia said as she was acting so lovey-dovey. "Gray is your name, right? I'm lucky I got to be on the same team as you."

"Thanks... Juvia, right? Shouldn't you be on the girls side unpacking?" Gray said. They all seemed to be settling in rather nicely. Lucy for example stepped out and took a seat on the steps. She took a deep breath in as she was both nervous and excited.

"Are you still letting it sink in that you're here?" Levy said as she sat with her. "It is unreal that we're going to be on television."

"Yeah." Lucy said. "I don't have much chance to do what I like back home. My father can be a little controlling, so being out here means I get a break from him."

"Wow. That sounds rough." Natsu said as he came out and joined the girls. "Still, it can't be all that bad. I'm sure you've had a few good friends that had to have helped you out."

"Actually... I don't have a lot of friends." Lucy admitted. "He and I don't really have a lot of neighbors, and there's no one around my age to talk to. Plus, I'm actually homeschooled. I never got to go to a regular school to make friends." Levy and Natsu couldn't believe it and felt rather bad for her.

"That blows. What about your mom?" Natsu asked.

"I... I actually lost my mother when I was a little." Lucy admitted.

"Oh man. That's terrible." Levy said.

"Well, I say you got a couple friends right now." Natsu said as he got his arm around her. "Since we're going to be on the same team, it means we're friends now." That seemed rather fast, but Lucy appreciated the gesture he was trying.

"Hey." Erza said. "I was thinking of hitting the cafeteria to get something to eat. Anyone want to come?"

"I will." Levy said.

"Same here. I'm starving." Lucy said. The three girls went off, but Lucy looked back at Natsu who gave her a wave. Maybe she really has found someone to call a friend.

Confessional (Lucy): I don't know why I admitted something so personal so soon like that. Natsu and Levy seem like nice people, and I know I am going to need allies to make it through here. I think things are off to a good start right now.

...

Tenacious Tigers

Meanwhile, the Tenacious Tigers were settling into their cabin as well. Hardly any arguments or debates as to who gets what bed. Gajeel climbed up to his bunk and just relaxed.

"Not bad." Gajeel said. "A step up from the beds they got back in that detention center."

"So, what I heard was true? You went to juvie?" Rogue questioned.

"Yeah. You want me to show you what I did." Gajeel threatened. Clearly just wanted to be left alone, Rogue backed off.

"Hey, just chill man." Sting said. "Rogue was just making conversation. If we're going to be on a team, we need to be able to work together. We're going to be stuck with each other for a while, so let's just try to get along."

"He's got a point. There's no reason we can't work together." Jellal said.

"Whatever. Just don't get in my way." Gajeel claimed. He certainly isn't making any friends with an attitude like that. Meanwhile, the girls were getting themselves settled in.

"This is dumb." Cana said. "How am I suppose to get through this without booze?"

"Are you seriously thinking of drinking now?" Lisanna questioned. "Don't you think that's a little too much."

"What? It's my favorite drink." Cana said.

"Maybe, but that probably does send the wrong message to the audience." Mirajane said. "I'm sure you'll be fine. With all the challenges that we'll be doing, I doubt you'll miss any of it. Are you sure you can't go without it, Cana?"

"It's not like I need it or have an addiction." Cana said. "When the time comes to get serious, I'll get serious. It's just a little frustrating, that's all."

"I can certainly understand that." Yukino said. "Anyone would be frustrated about not having their favorite food or drink, but we're here to compete and make new friends. I'm sure you'll forget about it in no time."

"You're right about one of those. We're here to compete." Minerva said as she gave off this intense feeling like she was the one calling the shots. "Keep that in mind. Keep your focus on winning because I am not here to lose." Minerva seems to be laying down the law here like she's some sort of mighty queen.

Confessional (Minerva): After seeing what I'm dealing with on my team, I've decided that someone needs to take command and guide this team, and that will be me.

"I'm going to check the place out and see if there's anything fun to do." Gajeel said as he stepped out of the cabin.

"I'll be right back! I forgot something in the cabin!" Levy called as she hurried back to her own cabin. She just kept running, but the two of them accidentally bumped into each other. "Oh my gosh. I'm sorry about that."

"You better. Watch where you're going." Gajeel said.

"You don't need to be rude. I said I was worry." Levy said.

"And I'm telling you to watch it, busy body." Gajeel said.

"Busy body?!" Levy said as she was a little offended by that.

"Compared to the rest of the girls here, you've got some work." Gajeel said as he walked past her with Levy feeling flustered, frustrated, and felt her self-esteem dropped.

"Jerk!" Levy called.

...

Later

Everyone was getting rather settled into their new home away from home. They're already making friends, enemies, and they already have some tension building among the competitors. The first day was meant to introduce them, and for them to get familiar with the place and how it's all going to be. All of them right now were outside the cabins and seemed to have made themselves comfortable as well as getting familiar with each other.

"Well, it looks like you all settled in rather nicely." Mavis said as she saw that everything has gone rather well. "Hope you all enjoy your first night here because tomorrow is when you will have your first challenge. Until then, enjoy your stay while it lasts." She claimed and left them to do their thing.

"I'm a little nervous. What do you think we're going to do?" Lisanna questioned.

"It's our first challenge. How tough can it really be?" Sting said. He thought the first challenge was going to be an easy one, but he ended up jinxing it. The next day, they all saw their first challenge involved bungee jumping off a cliff from hundreds of feet in the air. The contestants have arrived, and the battle to see who will win a million dollars has begun. Who will win, and what kind of challenge are they facing?
