-Sienna's P.O.V-
I groaned and sat up, my hand instantly rubbing my head. I felt terrible. I looked to my right and found a bottle of water sitting on my nightstand. I smiled to myself knowing exactly who put it there. I grabbed it and took a sip. I lazily threw my covers off of me, grabbed one of my hoodies and slipped it on. I yawned and walked out of my bedroom, to be greeted how I always am.
"Hello there sleepy head, rough night?" My dad asked with a grin. Clearly he was implying about my night out with mom.
"You have no idea" I muttered, I quickly looked over at Marko, who hid his laugh behind his hand. I strolled over and took a seat next to Dwayne, who gently rubbed my forehead.
"First hangovers are the worst kid, you'll get use to it" He informed me.
"So, you're finally eighteen" David's spoke. The vibe of the room turned cold. "Max would like to see you, alone"
"David she just woke up!" My mom spat.
"Max's orders" his voice was low.
I let out a sigh and buried my head in my hands. All of the enjoyment yesterday completely made me forget. I looked over at my parents and saw them staring back at me with sad but hopeful expressions. These two raised me, even though I'm not really theirs. How could I ever thank them for that? I looked at David, we had our differences but he let me into his pack, allowed me to stay and I don't care what he says. He does care about be. I looked at Dwayne, he gave me so much advice when I was growing up, I learnt so much from him. And then there was Marko. Confusing, frustrating yet loveable Marko.
"Go get dressed and I'll take you" David told me. I stood up and slowly walked to my bedroom.
-
"Go ahead" David stopped the bike and I hesitantly got off. I looked back at him before making my way towards Max's front door. David told me he and the others would meet me here when my meeting was done before quickly riding of. I took a deep breath and knocked.
"Sienna, come in" he greeted and stood aside for me to enter. His home was warm and comforting. A lot of old decoration though, he really needed to get right the times. I took a seat in his sofa and he sat across from me.
"Did you have a good birthday?" He asked
"I did thank you" I smiled.
"Good, it's not everyday you turn eighteen so you have to make it great" I nodded in agreement. "You know why you're here?"
"Yes Max" I whispered but made sure he could hear me. I began playing with my fingers.
"I trust you have made a decision?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, eager to hear my answer.
I couldn't reply, I bit my bottom lip, feeling a lump form in my throat. I sniffed and wiped away the tears that fell onto my cheek, but no matter how much I wiped them away, they kept falling. Max got up from his seat and wrapped his arms tightly around me, causing me to fully sob. For years, I never got to know Max. Every time I saw him I hid behind me mom, dad or Marko, he intimidated me. But his actions right now made me see him differently.
"I know dear, it's not easy and I'm sorry it has to be this way" He soothed. "But you don't need to say anything, I already know from your reaction"
"How do I tell them?" I cried harder at the thought. Max just sighed whilst still holding me.
-Lauren's P.O.V-
I held tightly onto Paul's hand. Sienna had been gone for over and hour and I couldn't take it anymore. None of us spoke as we waited to hear from Max. I leaned my head on his shoulder when he started to run his fingers through my hair. Even though he never said a word, I could tell he was just as nervous as I was.
I looked over at Marko, he looked troubled. He reached his hand up to his mouth and started chewing his nail again. I hated when he did that. I tapped Paul and pointed over to Marko so that he would notice.
"He's fine, he's just in deep thought" he whispered to me. David stood up and clapped his hands together.
"It's time"
Max had clearly let him know he was ready for us. The five of us rushed out of the cave and over to Max's place. I didn't wait for the others. I jumped off of Paul's bike and rushed to the front door, forcefully opening it and quickly scanning the room to find my child. I found her sat on Max's couch with her head down, Max beside her.
"Sienna sweetie?" I spoke. I felt the others by my side instantly.
"Mom" She whimpered. Sienna looked up at me, she looked distraught. I watched her desperately try to hold back her tears.
"Sienna, what is it?" Paul asked. The she uttered five words that broke me.
"I want to be a human"
