Lucas's mind raced. How long was he gone? His heart dropping at this latest news. He stared down at hand that held his wedding who had he become. He didn't know anymore.
Peyton landed her in that hospital bed and he knew that.
For god sake she had basically confessed that on the phone.
He had kept her waiting and on the side in his mind. Emotionally. But now he had crossed the line and there was no coming back from that.
He had gotten her out of his system for good. No one would ever know or find out. Lucas decided.
He was relieved at the sight of the doctor from before.
"How is she.? I need to see my wife now." Lucas insisted.
"The stabbing caused her more injury then we caught at first."
"I think she was in more pain then she let on but didn't want to scare or worry the children." The doctor explained.
"You got her stable before. I assume you got her stable now?" Lucas questioned.
The doctor sighed deeply. "This is where i wish i had more positive news. Let's speak in private." The female doctor suggested.
Lucas followed her. "You're wife is in a very vunerable position. Her body has endured alot during these last few hours."
"And honestly I don't know if she's going to regain consciousness." The doctor explained.
Lucas felt her heart leap into his throat.
"I need more then that. I need to know she's going to recover." Lucas insisted.
"I can't tell you that. I know the oldest son the two of you share is out there. I would suggest telling him and bringing the younger children."
"Loved ones should be close at this time. What happens next is on Brooke we've done all we can for her." The doctor said.
Lucas made his way out of the private room as Simon walked over.
"How's momma?" Simon questioned.
Lucas did the best he could to explain what was going on.
"Where were you? When she needed you why did you leave here at all? Answer me!" Simon exclaimed.
But Lucas couldnt he was too ashamed.
He decided to follow the doctors instruction and bring Sage and Lowen to the hospital.
But first he stopped by the police department.
And explained why he wanted Peyton Sawyer arrested.
