There was not enough time in the day. Sesshomaru wandered around and Kagome did not return to the past. Couldn't. The well was still locked.

Sesshomaru visited it once more, sneering as if it would keep her from him. It dawned on him as that thought entered his mind. Their bond was that strong.

Yet the day faded and he had to return to his mother.

If his mother had feelings on the matter she kept them to herself and did his bidding and bound him to the chains.

"You should have talked to her,"

His eyes moved to hers, slowly turning pink.

"Do you want me to bring her here?"

"Leave her," He said.

"In pain, my son is cruel,"

He growled, "Do not act as if you were unaware,"

She narrowed her eyes at him.

"The Miko, she has turned you as well," His voice demonic,

"Dont make it sound romantic, I respect her as should you," She snapped,

He looked away, feeling the pull of the moon's power. "She has that effect on people,"

"Then perhaps she will find another male,"

His muscles tightened and the pain was instant, "You and I both know there is no other,"

"I know one of us knows that," She began to walk away, "And the other is powerless,"

"I will show you, powerless woman," He snapped,

"Really?"

His bleeding eyes went wide as he saw the mischief in her eyes. He growled but it was too late.

His mother snapped her fingers and everything faded away. The next thing he knew, could hear, was Kagome breathing heavily, in pain.

He was no longer chained and she was no longer out of reach.

Fuck. What was his mother thinking? Did she want to get the Miko killed? Perhaps the Miko would take his words to heart and purify them both.

Sesshomaru fought, but her scent, her sound, her power. It was to much, his mother was right, he was powerless.

He didnt know where his mother had taken him, but he was in a forest and Kagome was his prey.

Kagome was panicked. One moment she was curled up in bed covering her ears, the next she was on her knees in the forest.

"No," She whispered, and then she felt her spine spasm. Sesshomaru was here and close.

"Are you just going to sit there?"

Kagome looked up and gasped. His mother stood there, "What are you doing!" Kagome yelled.

"Aiding,"

"This is too cruel!"

"No, suffering as you do is cruel, you should thank me, actually you should run,"

Kagome tried to calm her breathing and stood, "I dont want this,"

"Yes, you do,"

"Not like this, not forced," Tears spilt "Not because of some moon!"

"Do you believe in the power of love?"

Kagome couldn't say a word. She used to. "He doesn't believe in it,"

"You seem so sure, and yet time could not keep you two apart,"

"Thats power, not love,"

"Supreme power is in love Miko," She snapped, "He is powerless, you are not, now run,"

She didn't know why, but her legs moved. Kagome ran.

His mother vanished as her son took chase.

She looked up. The moon was high, dark, and powerful and for a demon who seemed to be powerless he caught Kagome in no time.

Throwing her back against a tree she shrieked and yelled his name as his nose went to her neck.

He inhaled and then licked her and she pushed against him. "Please!"

She felt his fangs scrape her skin and her knees went and she went down, and he went with her.

She tried to push him away as light rain started to fall. He growled and lifted one of her legs over his hips and ran his hand down. She slapped his chest with power and yelled his name but all this did was make him grab her tight harder and look at her with sharp fangs peeking out, a reminder of what he could do.

He leaned down again and his fangs scraped her neck again and she shook with fear and sadness.

"Not like this, "She cried in a whisper, "Not like Sesshomaru," She said again.

He sniffed, smelling her tears. They smelt different. Her fear smelt different.

Her hands dug into his shirt and she actually pulled him closer, "Are you in pain?" She asked, "Of course you are," She cried and then moved her head to the side.

She was ready for her heart to shatter, ready for his fangs to claim her, ready for the moon's power to win.

But moments fled by and the man above her stilled and his hand on her tight went loose.

He moved his mouth away from her neck and looked at her.

She gasped as her eyes met his. Gold met green.

"Sesshomaru," Her hands left his chest and went to his face, "Are you fighting it,"

"The moon has no hold on me now." He breathed, "Your fear of me woke me up."

The rain came down a little harder,

"But im not afraid,"

"Then perhaps something else, an emotion unclear to me?"

Her lips parted and her heart jumped. Was it her love for him?

"Are you in pain?" He asked,

"Yes," She whispered, "But you have a choice,"

He eyed her cold lips and his urge to make them warm grew and in the middle of the forset, under a moon that had no power, Sesshomaru kissed Kagome.
