Sakura had finally caught up to Sasuke because it was almost midnight, and he had set up camp by a tree to rest. She had landed a few feet away from him.

Her eyes were dazzled by the glow of the small bonfire that Sasuke had set up, but in return, he just ignored her presence while eating a rice ball and checking the map.

Feeling lost and awkward, Sakura went to explore a bit. This mission wasn't going to be easy; it was an S-rank mission where they had to infiltrate a group of powerful shinobi gang called "Twilight." They posed a threat to the peace of the Allied Shinobi Forces, so they were going to have to bring their A-game.

Coming upon a small spring, Sakura smiled as she was glad she could take a bath and replenish her strength. Knowing it was a bit of a distance away from Sasuke, she quickly got undressed and went into the water. The water was cold, but she didn't mind because, at this point, nothing could faze her from relaxing for a bit.

Seeing it was past midnight, Sasuke noticed that Sakura hadn't come back yet. It was annoying if she got herself into trouble and exposed their positions. "What was Kakashi thinking?" he muttered, leaping up to the tallest tree. He had a clear view of the surrounding area and the spring. Then, he saw Sakura putting her clothes on and was surprised by her womanly charms. Quickly looking away, he hissed, "Letting her guard down like this... women." He then jumped back down and leaned against the tree he had been sitting at before.

Sakura had returned moments later. She curled up at the base of a tree a little distance from Sasuke. The silence between them could be sliced open with a knife. She wanted to lighten the mood, but Sasuke was already asleep, or so she thought. She stared at him with her piercing emerald eyes and started thinking about the old days, struggling with the thought of how much she missed him.

"go to sleep!"

Her eyes widened as she was ripped from her thoughts. Sasuke spoke to her. It wasn't much to anyone else, but it was plenty for her. Thoughts started flooding her head on how to respond or if she could start a conversation. But suddenly, she just smiled and decided not to reply. She curled up on the ground, feeling accomplished, and finally managed to fall asleep.
