Chapter 20

After about 3 hours of driving, Dean suggested that we should stop for a bite to eat. I agreed and went to search for a place on my phone. As I opened my phone, there was a text from Bianca.

Bianca: 'Sooo….. How is the car ride with Dean ;)'

Me: 'Oh you know… Bumpy. Haha! No, it's fine. I think Dean is worried that I'm going to pass out again.'

Bianca: 'I mean… Understandable. Have you told him that it wasn't a vision?

Me: 'No. No I haven't… I just want to know what's going on before I do.. I promise.. I will soon.'

Bianca: 'Alright… You should soon because I don't want to lie to Sam too.'

Me: 'I will.. Soon.'

I rubbed my temples and let out a big sigh. How the hell am I going to them. I thought to myself. There is no right way. Maybe I'll just blurt it out? Or maybe…

"Look at that. There's a little diner there. Good thing too. I'm starved." Dean pointed to a shanty roadside diner.

"Aren't you always hungry?" I asked, a little too snippy.

"So…? You okay?" He asked as he turned into the parking lot.

"I'm fine. Just a little tired I guess…" I tried to sweeten my tone.

He parked and turned the key to shut off the Impala. He shuffled his body so that he was facing me. He reached over putting one hand on my thigh and the other slid along the back of the seat. "You know you can tell me anything. No matter how strange… Right?" He said looking at me right in my eyes.

"I know. It's fine. I'm fine. Let's go get you something to eat." I put on my best fake smile and opened the door. I got out and started walking towards the diner.

When we got inside, we found a seat and sat down. A sweet old waitress came over, handed us some menus and filled our water glasses. She said that her name was Ethel and that she would give us a moment to decide what to eat and she would be back. We both nodded and Dean picked the menu and looked at it. After a couple minutes, she came back.

"What can I get you youngins today?" Her voice was sweet.

" I'll have a bacon burger with extra onion and fries." Dean said, flashing his sexy smile.

"Hungry man." She smiled, then turned to me. "And what about you hon?"

"I'll just have a coffee. Thank you." I smiled back at her.

"Alright. I'll put in that food order and be back with your coffee." She said then hobbled off.

"Not hungry?" Dean questioned, giving me a worried look.

"No. I'm… I'm still full from the uhh… Blood." I said, twirling my daylight ring.

"Oh… Right." He lowered his tone. "So I don't think I ever asked but… How do you walk in the sun without burning to a crisp?"

"Oh. Well, my ring." I held out my left hand. "The stone in it is Lapis Lazuli. And it's enchanted. Witches are the only ones who can make them. But the problem is finding a witch that will do it." I smiled and chuckled.

"Huh.. I see." He seemed surprised.

"Yeah and as long as the witch that enchanted it doesn't get murdered, the enchantment will live on. And if she dies of old age, the enchantment will continue to live on as well. Also it doesn't just have to be a ring. It can be a bracelet or a necklace." I pursed my lips together.

Just then Ethel came back with Deans burger, fries and my coffee. I grabbed a couple sugars and a few creamers and poured them in my coffee. As I stirred them in, Dean started to dig into his burger. He had the look of satisfaction on his face as he did.

After he was done with his food, the waitress came by and asked if there was anything else she could get us. I was about to say no when Dean asked if she had any pie. She nodded and smiled as she said that they had blueberry and apple. He said that he would have some apple pie. My eyes just widened a bit and then I asked for another cup of coffee. She nodded and went to grab the pie and the pot of coffee. When she came back, she smiled as she put down the pie and filled my cup. Dean devoured the slice of pie and got up to go pay our bill. Then I wondered how they were able to pay their way in life. I knew that hunting doesn't pay. I finished my coffee as he came back and we set out back towards the Impala. We climbed in and were back on the road.

After about half an hour of listening to Led Zeppelin. Dean turned down the radio and cleared his throat. "This might be a strange question but… What would happen if someone were to… Swallow or drink your blood?" He asked nervously.

I was caught off by this question. So I thought of the answer carefully before I answered. "Well… Umm… First, if you are injured, it will heal pretty much instantly. Secondly, some of your senses will be heightened. Not like a vampyers but it would be close. Lastly, the vampyer that you drank from will be able to sense you. Sense if you're in trouble, happy, sad, any emotion."

"I see… Then how do you turn into your kind of vamp?" He asked uneasily.

"Depending on the breed of vampyer, you have to die with vampyer blood in your system." I slowly said, twisting my ring around my finger.

"Breed?" He asked.

"Yeah… I don't know if you noticed, but you have interacted with a few." I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Honestly… I haven't really noticed. The only one I have noticed is you." He looked over at me and flashed me his sexy smile.

I tucked my bottom lip between my teeth. I tried to think of something snarky to say but nothing came to mind. Instead I unbuckled my seatbelt and moved closer to him. I leaned my head against his shoulder and breathed in his scent. He always smelt so good. He removed his right hand from the steering wheel and wrapped it around me. With my head now tucked on his chest, I was listening to the rhythm of his heart. It was beating like a steady drum, it was so soothing. I felt my eyes getting heavier and heavier.

Next thing I knew, I was being gently shaken awake. When I opened my eyes, we were parked in front of an old factory/warehouse. I was very confused. I looked at Dean and he chuckled at my confusion.

"What? Were you expecting a giant sign that said 'Bunker here'?" He said looking into my eyes. His face was inches apart from mine.

"No. But I was thinking more… Secret door in a hill or a wooden shack with a trap door." I smirked at him.

"Sorry to disappoint darlin'." He said, his eyes looking at my lips.

He reached up, placing his left hand on my cheek. He tilted my head slightly up so that my face was looking up at him. Slowly closer and closer he got until his lips were on mine. They were always so warm and soft against mine. His tongue ran along my bottom lip, asking for entrance. So, I let him in. Our tongues danced with each other, he tasted so sweet. He put one hand on the back of my neck and the other was on my back, pulling me closer. The warmth of his body was making my cells come to life. I could feel a low moan ripple through him. I broke the kiss for a second so that I could climb on top of him. Not caring that the steering wheel was digging into my back. Our lips came crashing back onto each other. My hands wrapped around his neck, as his hands made a home on my waist. Then his lips left mine and started making their way down my neck.

"This damn hoodie is in my way." He said as he started to slip it over my head.

As soon as that was off, he started making a trail with his tongue across my neck. I let out a small moan as he did. At the same time, I started to rock against him. Creating some friction to ease the pressure. I could feel him smile against my skin. As I did that, his hand came up to my shoulder and with a gentleness, he slowly slid my tank top strap and bra strap down. Just as he was going to reveal a breast, there was a knock at the window. When I looked over, there was Bianca and Sam standing there with a smug look on their faces. I heard Dean mumble something about being C blocked while he was looking up at the roof. He looked back up at me and I kissed him on his stubbly cheek. Then I climbed off of him, fixed my straps, grabbed my hoodie and got out of the Impala. I walked over to the driver's side and waited for Dean to get out. When he got out he put a hand on the small of my back and we followed Sam and Bianca to the steel door.

As we entered, my eyes darted around, taking everything in. We emerged from a small dark hallway onto a balcony that looked over a giant table that lit up. As we walked down a spiral staircase, there was one wall with a bunch of clocks with different times on them. When we reached the bottom of the stairs, there were a bunch of different hallways that lead to the kitchen, library, infirmary, bedrooms and garage. I was in awe of it. I have only heard of these bunkers existing. Never have I seen one in person. Sam was explaining how the bunker came to be and how they came into possession of it.

"How interesting!" Bianca's eyes wandered towards the direction of the library.

"There's no cell service down here." I said as I looked at my phone. How was I going to text the others?

"Yeah… Sometimes it's nice and sucks too." Sam mumbled.

" I see… Well, I'll be right back. I'm just going to let everyone know that we made it and where we are." I said as I started back up the stairs.

"Okay. When you get back we can show you where you're going to be staying." Sam said, smiling at Bianca.

When I got outside, it turned out I had to run a couple of miles down the road to get some reception. When I finally got a bar or two, I texted Damon and Elena where they could drop off my truck and dogs. Then I called Stefan to tell him where the bunker was, he told me that there was an emergency at home. So him, Damon and Elena had to go back. I sighed and told him that in a couple days I would come get my truck and dogs. He said no problem and hung up. I texted Damon and Elena back telling them what I told Stefan. I shut off my phone and looked at the setting sun. The earth was starting to cool. I took a deep breath in and sped off towards the bunker. When I got back, Dean was standing outside by the door. When I asked him why he was waiting, he showed me a funny looking key and said that I wouldn't be able to get back in without it.

We got down the stairs and saw that Sam and Bianca were not in the main room anymore. When I asked where they could have gone too, Dean said that they were looking for the others.

"Others?" I asked, cocking my head to one side.

"Kev and Cas." Dean said like I was supposed to know who they were.

"Annnd…who are they?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Well, Kevin is a prophet who decoded the tablet that we told you about. And Cas… Well… He's a… Uh… An angel." Dean stuttered the last part.

"Angel?" Fuck!

"Yeah, like, you know. With the wings and stuff." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I see…" I tried to play off my nervousness.

"Looks like Kevin and Cas aren't here." Sam shouted as he walked back in the room.

"Wonder where they could have gone." Dean wondered.

"Who knows. So shall we show you guys where you're going to stay?" Sam smiled over to Bianca.

"Sure." Bianca smiled back.

Dean and I gave each other a look and tried not to laugh. But…we were failing. Sam cleared his throat and started towards the bedrooms. Sam and Dean walked ahead of Bianca and I. We walked down the hallway and rounded a corner that led to a smaller hallway that had about 5 doors. Some were open, some were closed.

"This one is mine." Sam said, pointing to a door that was labeled number 3. "And this one is Deans." Pointing to the door right across from his room.

"I think Kev is staying in that one at the end of the hallway." Dean pointed to the last room.

"So that leaves us with room 1 and 2." I pointed to them.

"Or… You could stay with me." Dean flexed his jaw.

"Tempting offer. I think I may take you up on that offer." I said, biting the inside of my lip.

"Then, I guess, I'll take this one." Bianca pointed to the room beside Sams.
