10/31/2656- Massacre By Warlord Vorn Forces

"Today, tragedy struck as a resource raid on a minor mining colony turned into a bloodbath. Ten hours ago, a frigate belonging to Warlord Vorn arrived in the 2544 Vigil System and demanded the only significant settlement within the system, a mining colony on the system's only planet, to surrender and give up much of their equipment and materials. The colony refused, leading to a protracted battle between the Warlord's troops and the local militia, with the former taking disproportionate losses. Enraged by this, the ship's captain ordered the deaths of everyone in the colony, first through simple violence, and later by destroying the colony's life support system. Union warships arrived from outside the system for a routine patrol three hours ago, only to find all 20 thousand residents of the colony dead for hours. The frigate has been identified through surviving data as the Dagger."
