Hiya! My name is Veronica Hawkins I'm 22 years old and grew up in the good ol state of Arizona with me Ma and my older brother Satsujin…or at least for a while I grew up with him….Satsu left home for marine basic training when he was 18 and I was only 11…ever since then I wanted to find some way to connect with my brother and let him know my feelings. That's when my mother took me to see a beautiful J-POP concert and it opened my eyes when I found out they started young.

From that day on I reinvented myself making my own clothes learning how holograms worked and even letting my hair grow out till I was no longer Veronica Fairbrook Delvin Hawkins, I was now known as Hana+chu2 a pop idol who specialized in out of this world performances in Japanese utilizing homemade holograms! There wasn't a soul out their who didn't know my name or my famous catchphrase "In the garden of music, I'm your blooming melody – Hana+chu2! Ready to charm your heart, one chu at a time!" followed by blowing a kiss.

My outfits were as extravagant as my personality but my favorite I called my Advent of music a simple frilly top with a set of long shorts and stockings along with a set of cyber wings and hologram music chords and notes flowing around me like petals falling in the air. It was a time in my life that I would make millions smile.

I had it made honestly the love of my fans a nice house in Miami, my mother was so proud of me and yet no matter what I did I couldn't find my big brother. I poured everything I had into finding him and in an act of desperation I used a Ouija board and gave up my mortal soul for his location only to be left with a single name, the Kodiak mercenary.

My hands shook after hearing the name and just cried and cried as I put my head in my hands. I just wanted my brother back in my life. He protected me when I was young and swore, he would be there for me beating up the bullies who laughed at me for loving music and telling me it is possible to make even the cruelest of people smile with just a single song.

Sadly though like all good things my fans were fanatical about me and soon I was shot in the head by a fan who didn't like the fact that I wanted to take a small hiatus to get my degree.

As things went dark I held my hand to the air and smiled. I didn't want my fans to cry for me.

Muttering one last phrase I said, "I'm coming Onne-chan" and passed out.

As I woke up my heart pounded in fear as I looked around the city with its neon lights showing naked women and drugs and the people around me looked….they looked like demons!

I panicked a bit and ran away crying as I ran to a nearby alley way and started to have a panic attack.

"no, no, no! this can't be happening! Am- am I in hell! Did that Ouija board really send me to hell! Oh gods big brother! Oh gods what did I do wrong! Please tell me this is a nightmare, a bad dream" I started to cry as I got a good look at myself.

I hadn't changed that much but my Avent of music outfit was torn up and I had snake like eyes and fangs, they looked cute ngl but still I felt different. I did however hit myself in the cheek and realized this wasn't a dream as I was approached by an owl demon who I started to walk away from seeing the knife in his hand.

"stay back!" I said as he started to rush me only for a wall made of hard light blocking me off from the other guy.

This gave me an idea as I said, "piss off!" thinking of a huge unicorn that suddenly formed and killed the demon as it ran him over.

"so, it's basically like my holograms!" I grinned as I started to ride the unicorn out of the alley and out of this area of hell ending up in front of a nice-looking apartment that helped me get a room.

I hid in the empty apartment scared and afraid, I was in hell I couldn't find my big brother and there were demons who wanted to kill me! I needed to find a safe place and hide forever but shockingly I started to get hungry so going into the closet and picking out a trench coat, a pair of sunglasses and a face mask to hide my identity I snuck out and hid as I picked up some food using what money I had but as I left I bumped into a girl with two long red ponytails who dropped her phone in the process.

I stuttered a bit and said, "s-sorry I didn't mean to hurt you or your phone!"

The lady grabbed me by the trench coat and mask cursing me out for making her drop her phone before tearing off the glasses and mask.

Wide eyed the lady said, "oh- oh my god! Oh my god oh my god oh my god! No way!" before tearing off the trench coat and squealing.

I got ready to defend myself as I said, "I may be weak physically, but I am not afraid to fight back!"

The lady looked confused at first and said, "fight? No, no, no! I mean normally I would fight anyone who made me drop my phone but! But your Hana+chu2! You were my idol in life! I loved your concerts can- can I get your autograph!"

I looked a bit confused and said, "w-wait you mean your not gonna kill me? THAT'S GREAT! And yeah I'll give you my autograph!" before using a sharpie as she tore her shirt open and showed me her boobs to sign which I wrote on and she giggled at me.

The lady then treated me to coffee, and we got to talking. Her name was Velvette, and she was an overlord, demons who had risen up the ranks and had loads of souls under their belt. In Velvette's case she was a member of a trio of overlords called the vees and they were looking for a fourth member, someone with musical talents to join them.

I grinned and said, " eeeeeyyyyy I think I found my calling! Where can I sign up!"

Velvette then pulled out a flyer and told me, "its at the vee's estate so be ready, loads of musicians want in on this!"

I gave Velvette a determined smile and said, "I got this!" and bowed to her leaving and getting myself ready with a new outfit based around my Avent of music outfit making it even cuter and making my way to the headquarters of the Vees a place that mixed a porn studio, a television studio and a fashion tower which excited me as I rushed in and got all signed up for the competition, Bumping in to a demon as I rushed to the auditorium for the concert.

"oof! S-sorry about that" I groaned as I looked up

I got a good look at the demon I had bumped into and felt a little intimidated by her she had muted purple skin and four arms, her hair was this shade of sky blue with neon pink tips and her horns split off like branches into four points on each horn and were adorned with these Japanese knots that connected the horns almost like it was a banner, clothing wise she wore little to nothing opting for a long strand of dark blue cloth around her waist almost like waist cape with gold beads and gems of various types, for her top she wore nothing but a silk cloth to cover up her massive rack and gold armlets, adorning her neck was a set of prayer beads that were green and purple and her hair even had bracelets on them!

The demon looked down at me and said, "ara ara what a cute little thing~ are you lost little one, this competition is for the fourth member of the vees a group of overlords who control hell's entertainment! I don't think such a frilly thing like you belongs here"

Calmly I stood up to her like my big brother would and said, "I am not scared of you, my voice was once heard through out the world! It will resonate here in hell too!"

I felt so cool at that moment! Like a shonen protagonist standing up for what he believed in and in the back of my mind I was squealing as if saying that was one of the many things I had always wanted to say.

The demon growled and was about to punch me but luckily velvette stepped in and said, "oi, oi, oi Viola you don't need to antagonize the late arrival! Get your ass out there cause val and vox are waiting for your song!"

Viola looked at me and said, "your lucky one of the vees was here to save you, when I become a vee you wont be so lucky!"

As Viola left Velvette looked back at me and said, "okay as much as I would LOVE to give you the win right now bestie, what the fuck was that phrase?"

I giggled and said, "s-sorry its just I always wanted to say that and I had my first ever opportunity and I took it"

Velvette laughed and rolled her eyes saying, "oh your gonna fit in nicely, be ready for your performance, oh what am I saying, Your Hana+chu2 music has always been your thing!" before snapping a quick selfie with me.

Velvette giggled and said, "when I was alive, I used to love listening to your music, heck at one point I went to a convention cosplaying as you! you were my hero…and when I found out about your death I was devastated."

I hugged Velvette and used my fingers to make her smile and said, "its not very Moe to frown vel vel you got to keep that smile going constantly and let heaven and hell know just who you are!"

Velvette squealed at this and said, "this is a fucking dream come true! If you beat Viola you'll definitely have a place in the Vees" before leaving to join the other two.

I did peak out a bit to see a man with a flat screen tv for a head and well if I could describe him the most pimping pimp to ever pimp was sitting right next to him along with velvet as Viola started to sing an enka ballet that calmed me down and sounded perfect but it wasn't what they were looking for as a trap door opened and Viola screamed as she was dragged in.

Growling the moth demon said, "Next up…. Hana+chu2!"

I staggered a bit on stage as it wasn't my usual audience but taking a deep breath in I put on my smiling digital mask and shouted, "In the garden of music, I'm your blooming melody – Hana+chu2! Ready to charm your heart, one chu at a time!" which caused the crowd to scream happily and wave their glowsticks around and I followed it up with my song Otome no Route Wa Hitotsujya nai!

As I sang I was in awe as I watched my very surroundings come to life as if it were my holograms turning this den of lust into a great manor of a noble surrounded by sweet treats and changing everyone's attire to match the regal aesthetics. At one point I had made my ideal lover who ended up looking almost like my big brother out of rose petals and danced with him pouring all my emotions into this song till finally it ended, and the area returned to normal.

Taking a bow, I watched in awe as the audience clapped and started singing my name and for an encore, their glowsticks changing to a gold to match my dress and with a smile I went into my next song Adante Ni Koi Wo Shite! And again the attire changed to match but closer to the end everything turned to a more bubbly attire as with a flip of my staff huge nutcrackers shot out and started to dance around hitting their drums or holding up their horns to their mouths playing along and as for the grand finale I twirled around with my staff as a huge 6 layer cake with strawberries and pink frosting formed and as I did the many toy soldiers walked up it as if It were a spiral stair case and kept playing as I conducted them to the very end.

Velvette got up and started clapping her hands and Valentino and Vox followed her whistling.

Bowing I twirled and watched as my holograms formed a set of wings on me made of light as I shouted, "I am so happy to have filled your hearts with my doki doki moe energy!" Before blowing them all a kiss letting my holograms form hearts that hit everyone.

Valentino then shouted, "YES! YES HELL YES! WE FOUND OUR FOURTH VEE! VERONICA COME AND MEET US DOWN HERE AT THE JUDGHES TABLE DARLING!"

Squealing I did just that and Vox said, "your performance made like 3,000 or so demons give up their souls to you! did you not feel the power!"

I struck a pose and did feel some muscles being gained as I said, "weeeellll I do feel more powerful."

Velvette looked at me with hearts in her eyes as she said, "mmmhhh I bet demons would give up more than just their souls to worship you~"

I blushed and said, "as much as I would love to fulfill their hearts desire, I don't swing that way as I have my eyes on only one man…. this grizzled mercenary I am searching for named the Kodiak Mercenary, I assume he was in hell, but I haven't found him yet"

Vox laughed and said, "well with my surveillance equipment you can trust that I'll try and find him!"

I squealed and hugged the three vees and they hugged me back as Velvette held me close and said, "welcome to your new home"

The next months went by like a blur as I set up my own part of the vee estate a nice little two story house of my own with a tower built into the house that connected straight into the vee's tower. It may have been simple but that's because it was supposed to be a nice little way for me to talk to people and make contracts with new clients who wanted my help with music ideas or to hire me for commercials or the likes, the real magic happened in the tower where Velvet and I made millions upon millions of designs for dresses and new works of art.

I was very thankful for my new besties especially Valentino who set me up with one of his best demons and fellow overlord Thana who I went to constantly for help with music as she gave the best constructive criticism and used her as a model for new outfits.

"awwww but- but thana pleeeease" I said with fake tears in my eyes holding up a dress that looked like a mint Greek with vertical lines made of dark green with a huge bow in front.

Thana giggled and said, "oh as much as I would love to wear that really colorful gumdrop…Val needs my help with something soooo" before running off.

Defeated I used my models who were more than happy to help me out with modeling my latest outfits.

As I did Velvette walked up to me and gave me a hug saying, "oi Ver you getting ready for your concert in cannibal town?"

I grinned and said, "hell yeah! Rosie said she would pay me a good amount of cash for a concert so I can debut my new songs love trial, Viva Happy, and SLoWMoTIoN"

Vox walked on by and said, "good luck Veronica Cannibal town has been very calm recently cause of Rosie but they have their areas you don't want to mess with"

I laughed as I walked to the elevator and said, "don't worry Voxxie I'll make sure to be careful!" as my intern Katie walked in with me.

Smiling I started to sway from side to side as I said, "so Katie give me my schedule for the day what do I have after my concert in cannibal town"

Katie flipped her hair out of her face and said, "well Veronica, Verosika mayday called again and said she wants another battle of pop idols with you in the lust ring of hell next friday, I have arranged for Stolas of the Ars Goetia to take you there personally, song wise I was thinking you could break out something truly flashy sand sing either This Game or Idol cause either one of those songs could beat her and end this tie you two have"

Ahhh Verosika mayday I remembered the day we met fondly. I was a rising star in hell, my songs were chart toppers, I had over 40,000 people pledging their souls to me and a group of fans who were singing my name, however there was one demon who wasn't. a succubus going by the name of verosika mayday, she was hell's best singer and I gave her credit where credit was due her songs made millions go crazy with lust. The day we decided to fight for who was the top idol was a day I would never forget as I won it with my song Gothic and Loneliness and had her by the metaphorical balls.

Verosika seemed like such a sweet girl and as such I didn't want her reputation to be tarnished so what I did was I named her my rival and told people to love her as much as they loved me and ever since then the two of us had been the best of friends and rivals each of us getting better and better and even doing duet songs like Romeo which got us to the very top of our musical careers!

I giggled and said, "hmmm tell Bestie to meet me in cannibal town for lunch after my concert, I'm thinking Paninis"

Katie looked over the schedule and said, "well I can reserve one of Overlord Rosie's best bakeries if that's okay"

I nodded drooling over the thought of pinky fingers and a nice panini. It was nearly Christmas time and I had to plan my last concert of the year before what Val and Vox called extermination. According to them every year on December 31st heaven sends a massive force of angels to cull the population of heaven and we Vees stayed safe in our bunker.

"OH Katie what about that…other thing I asked you to look into" I asked as we exited the tower and made our way to my limo.

Katie sighed and said, "I've checked all the new sinners none of them have the name Kodiak mercenary in the time alive nor when they are given the description you provided to they recognize him…I'm sorry to say Veronica but maybe your brother isn't dead or worse, he's a winner"

I sighed as I got into the limo and said, "Katie…I pray my brother is a winner cause Satsu had been my light in my darkest hours in life…if he ended up here I would be mortified and do everything in my power to protect him like he did for me…"

The concert at Cannibal town went lovely! I had roses thrown to me people screamed my name and rosie! Oh by lucifer rosie was the best! She was so nice and kind like my ma! After the concert I met verosika for lunch at a cute little sandwich shop in cannibal town called the BiteMe Bistros.

With a huge bit of panini in her mouth Verosika said, "and then he took my credit card, fucking maxed it out on horse riding lessons and then crashed my car!"

Giggling as I drank some soda I said, "I warned you gurl that imp was no good for you but did you listen noooo you didn't you just kept saying he had a big dick and he's a good man!"

Verosika and I kept laughing and then she said, "so how's the search for this Kodiak mercenary going?"

I sighed and said, "no sinner knows of him sadly so my search keeps on" biting into my panini

Rosie soon came by and said, "you girls enjoying the sandwiches and free drinks?"

I nodded and said, "Rosie you really need to give me the recipe for whatever sauce you put in these things! I mean I have tried Dijon mustard, beer sauce, even the weird shit Val makes which I do not recommend if you love your plumber and don't want to destroy your toilets but this is something else"

Rosie giggled and said, "oh you, you have that Moxie in you Veronica I can see why you became an overlord so fast! You are the only good one out of the vees that I like!"

I started to sparkle, and my holograms suddenly activated creating a stereotypical anime sparkle effect around me with hearts and little bunnies as my eyes got round.

Verosika poked me in the boob and said, "oi Nica your sparkle is showing" and I shook my head stopping the effect.

Rosie giggled and left to deal with some other overlord shit leaving Verosika and myself alone to talk for hours.

A couple years would pass, and I would be getting ready for another concert when Katie rushed in shouting, "Veronica! Veronica I have news for you!"

Holding her I said, "easy there Katie what is it?"

Katie held up her datapad and said, "the guy who killed Lazurus, he's the Kodiak mercenary! He fits all the boxes and I even had some sinners who fought in Afghanistan take a look at how he fights and they all said the same thing this is the man!"

I took a look at the data pad and saw a cobra demon wearing a long black tux jacket that buttoned to the side, black dress pants, dress shoes and a pale white skull mask firing off bullets from a huge gun at another demon and realized that it was him, it was Satsu.

With tears in my eyes I rushed to Vox and told him to cancel the concert I need to take care of some business of my own and rushed off to the northwestern pentagram where I looked at the man at the front door and said, "I am here to speak to Satsujin Hawkins, the kingpin of this district!"

The mercenary nodded and patted me down before calling his boss and leading me through the Japanese inspired estate where I saw him feading koi fish. Removing my hood, I tried my hardest not to cry as I felt so many emotions flooding through me, what was I going to say how was I gonna react, did he recognize me, did he know who I was.

Smiling Satsu looked at me and said, "how can the Belladonna fangs help you today lass"

Crying I said, "Big brother? Is that you?"
