Kado took the time to give Tenzin a quick call, he told him they were coming over to discuss something of great importance. Given the time of night, Tenzin was worried for Kado and Korra's wellbeing.
"What happened" asked Tenzin in a worried tone since Kado and Korra both appeared to be shaken up.
"We managed to rescue Bolin, but he was at an equalist rally, Amon was there" responded Kado.
"What" asked Tenzin, his worry clear as Korra spoke up.
"Amon can take people's bending away for good" responded Korra with a worried look, trying to not think about receiving the same fate Zolt got.
"That - that's impossible. Only the avatar has ever possessed that ability" responded Tenzin in disbelief.
"We saw him do it Tenzin. Right in front of us Amon took away Zolt's fire bending" responded Kado while Korra nodded her head in agreement. The expression of disbelief on Tenzin's face only grew at these words. Despite the disbelief he was feeling at these words, Tenzin knew that Kado and Korra wouldn't lie about something like this.
"I believe you. I don't know how Amon has achieved this power, but this means the revolution is more dangerous than ever" responded Tenzin, Kado nodding his head in agreement. Kado never took the equality seriously; he categorized them as a fanatic group that would hopefully lose steam after time. After witnessing Amon's ability to take away a person's bending away permanently, Kado was ready to treat the equalist as the threat they are to all of society.
"No bender is safe" stated Tenzin while he looked out at the bay. Kado had to agree with Tenzin's words, he was filled with fear at the thought of having his own water bending taken away from him. No matter what though, Kado was determined to perform his duty as a councilman. Kado was determined to put an end to Amon and the equalist. Looking beside him, Kado took comfort in the fact he wasn't alone.
