The sun slowly rose up over the horizon in Jasper City as everyone was beginning to awaken this included the house of Humphrey and Kate, who got out of bed and walked downstairs into the kitchen and began to prepare breakfast for the family. While Kate was doing that she glanced at the calendar on the living room wall near the window and noticed that it still was on October which literally ended at midnight it was November now.
"Humphrey can you change the calendar, it's November the month of giving thanks."Kate said with a little smile Humphrey nodded and got up and changed the calendar,however Kate also knew that today was Humphrey's 36th birthday and not only was she excited about it but she had a very special birthday present for him but in order to give it to him she knew she had to get three things out of the house for a while.
"Be right back Humphrey."Kate said as she left leaving Humphrey alone for a bit, Runt Stinky and Claudette came down to breakfast "Good morning dad,birthday."Runt said as Stinky and Claudette wished him happy birthday as well making Humphrey smile as he served them their breakfast. Approximately 3 minutes later Kate came back with a little smile but she wasn't alone Lilly was with her abd she was wearing a purple tank top and blue shorts "Hey Aunt Lilly."Stinky greeted as the other pups waved Lilly waved back as she sat on the couch Humphrey wws curiously as to why was there "what brings here?"Humphrey asked inna whisper to Kate who giggled "You'll find out."Kate said as the family sat down and ate.
After everyone finished Kate ushered the pups upstairs to their rooms "oh going to need you guys to put on your clothes and follow me to Uncle Garth's house "Why?"Claudette asked "i need you guys to leave the house for a little bit." the pups looked at Kate a bit disappointed that they had to leave because they wanted to spend the day helping his father celebrate his birthday like they do, by either playing video games or going outside to play. "Mom do we really have to leave?"Runt asked bummed out "It's just for a couple of hours or more Runt your father and I need the house completely empty because we are going to play a special game."Kate said with a smile the pups look up at her curiously.
"What kind of special game?"Stinky asked Kate's eyes darted left and right as she tried to find an appropriate explanation "a special birthday game."she finally said.
"Well why can't we play with you guys?"Claudette asked not understanding why they have to leave if only a birthday game is going to be played "because Claudette only married full grown adults can play this special game, and we need the whole house to ourselves for a little while because this special game is not to be seen by young eyes like yours." Kate said "if it's just between you and dad why is Aunt Lilly here?"Stinky asked in confusion Kate just stared blankly at the pups "No more questions,dressed now."Kate said as the pups entered their rooms.
The pups then went down stairs and Kate stood with them and then she and the pups went out the door after about a minute went by Kate came back without the pups, "Ok birthday boy the pups are at Garth's house so that means we have the house to ourselves."Kate said with a smile making Humphrey smile as well then he looked at Lilly who stood up smiling at them.
"I assume Lilly is going to join us?"Humphrey asked "yep i owe a favor."Lilly said with a little smile "Ok so are you ready to play Ring Around The Rosie with us?"Kate asked with a seducive smile "Oh yes."Humphrey said then Kate started to march up the stairs but while she did she was humming a tune which Humphrey immediately recognized as ring around the rosie, Humphrey and Lilly followed her up the stairs and they disappeared around the corner and they went into the room and then suddenly the doorbell rang and Kat came out of the room wearing her bathrobe which she tied up,she opened the door to see Runt and Stinky at the door "What..is it?"Kate asked with mild irritation "can i have some comic books?"Runt asked "i forgot my phone and Claudette wants her dumb Twilight book."Stinky said with a roll of his eyes.
Kate just stared at them wondering why they didn't take that stuff to begun with "Ok stay right there."Kate said as she very quickly she ran upstairs and got the items and gave them to Stinky "go back to your uncle's house and do not under any circumstances ring this door."Kate sa firmly as she closed the door and ran back up the stairs and went back into the bedroom after about 2 minutes the door bell rang again and Kate stomped down the stairs wearing her bathrobe "i swear they don't listen."Kate said growling under her breath and opened the door expecting to see her pups but instead saw someone completely unexpected it was her parents Winston and Eve.
"Hello sweetie."Winston greeted with a smile "Mom...Dad..hi...uh what brings you here?"Kate asked in a sheepish "Well we wanted to wish Humphrey a happy birthday,where is he?"Eve asked "Uhh..."Kate said "Kate who's at the...uh oh."Humphrey said coming from around the corner upstairs in his tighty whities then he froze when he saw Winston and Eve Kate closed her eyes in utter embarrassment as the awkward silence filled the air "uh...hey."Humphrey said embarrassed "hello Humphrey happy birthday son."Winston said with a smile to hide how uncomfortable he is "well i can see you and Humphrey are having a little bit of birthday fun,are you using protection?"Eve asked making Kate tense up in embarrassment "yes Mom we are using protection."Kate said with clenced teeth just then Lilly slowly came out of the room wrapped in a blue towel and she saw her parents standing at the doorway "Lilly..."Winston said with slight wide eyes "does Garth know you're here?"Eve asked "Yes he's absolutely fine with this."Lilly said with a smile "Humphrey like i told Garth: be very gentle with Lilly, she's delicate."Winston said as Lilly rolled her eyes "Dad stop not delicate."
"Don't worry Winston i'll be careful, besides Lilly is tough."Humphrey said proudly as he patted Lilly's back which unfortunately made the towel fall off and caused Winston and Eve to see something they didn't come there to see "Oh no."Kate said facepalming herself "oh good Fenrir."Eve said looking away in disgust "Whoops."Humphrey said embarrassed.
"Oh...boy..ok we're going to go,bye."Winston said as Kate nodded and closed the door Kate reeling from embarrassment groaned "Ok the next time the door bell rings we ignore it."Kate said as Huand Lilly nodded in agreement and then and Lilly went back into the room with Kate climbing up the stairs and entered the room closing the door behind her.
