NARUTO
He looked at the smashed glass on the floor.This was not good,he thought.
His sharp ears caught a soft whimper."Oww.."
"Someone there?" Naruto called out.
He turned around the corner of the lockers to see a girl on the floor. She was rubbing the lower back.
With long dark hair, and a furry lilac sweater, the girl looked up at him with a pair of glowing opal eyes. It was none other thantheHinata Hyuuga.
"Hinata?" He asked quickly, securing his towel around his waist.
Her mouth open in a small 'o'. She asked him in a shocked tone from the floor, "You know my name?"
Naruto gulped.
Hinata was only the girl he'd been crushing on since the first day of college.
Smart, gorgeous and rich, Hinata was untouchable on campus. His friends and teammates teased him mercilessly - joking about how the only time Naruto shut up was when Hinata was in the vicinity.
She took the hand he offered her and pulled her up to stand beside him. Despite it being ice cold, her hand felt good in his. She looked at up him with a meek smile. And he felt a flutter in his chest.
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, by the way," he introduced himself as she pulled her hand away to dust off her skirt.
He was surprised to see her roll her eyes.
"What?"
"I know whoyouare. Your reputation precedes you," Hinata told him in a gentle tone that made him blush. She pressed the question again, "How do you know who I am?"
"I've only had the biggest crush on you since I saw you on the first day of college," he confessed. When Hinata brought a hand to cover her mouth, the expression was so cute that Naruto forgot where he was for a moment.
"I'm not a pervert or a stalker or anything! I just asked Shikamaru and he said he knew your friend Ino- ," Naruto interjected quickly.
Hinata wished she could say the same but she had been watching him train and shower for the last few weeks.
Naruto was still talking,"... Ya'know, maybe if you'd like, we could hang out sometime. Like when it gets warmer and I've got clothes on. Do you like ramen? Ichiraku Ramen on campus is really good, especially their shoyu pork."
"Are you asking me out on a date?" Hinata said softly in an almost whisper. The edges of her lips pulling up into a smile.
"Yeah- you know if that's okay with you," he told her. "Just let me know when you're free."
"I'm free now," she said boldly.
Naruto perked up. "Sure! Let me just shower and get dressed-"
"No, don't." Hinata ordered, placing a hand on his bare chest.
